He has deep knowledge about Tai Chi and philosophy and is the 12th generation inheritor of one of the most traditional systems of Tai Chi. Additionally, Grandmaster Peng was a National kickboxing champion in China when he was young.Grandmaster Peng is very patient and giving, helping his students to achieve their best potential in Tai Chi and life. I’m only a month in and I can say the biggest changes for me are that I’m more upright when I walk and the pains I used to experience from years of weight lifting and improper posture have mostly been relieved.Master Peng’s teaching style currently, is interesting in that he shows you the whole routine and has the class copy his movements. He then drills down on the details when he works one on one with you. I like this method since it really forces you to observe and try to replicate each movement without instruction. Doing the whole routine also forces you out of your comfort zone because you don’t really know what comes next. If you get the movement wrong, you feel a bit like a fool.In my opinion, feeling and looking like a fool is also the fun part because it makes me want to find out how it’s supposed to be done. There’s a discovery aspect to it all.

I started here near the end of 2019. The Tai Chi classes here emphasize overall health. Master Peng teaches slowly and methodically, making sure the student grasps the fundamentals before moving on. If you care about a strong foundation then this is one of the best places to learn!

I took Tai Chi classes at Zhao Bao Tai Chi when I was in Milpitas, a few years ago. Even though it was only for a month, I really appreciated and enjoyed my time there. Master Peng always made sure I understood not only the movements but also the history and philosophy behind this beautiful martial art. The story between Taichi and my family started with the common pain in my shoulder from my engineering work. After three years of practice, Taichi has been the daily routine I am living with. Our body, health, temper have been many positive changes.The more you practice, the more you gain is what I got from brothers to my question about why I was keeping doing the same movement every day. I felt a bit boring at the beginning. Thanks to my insistence during the first half year, I could clearly fell the improvement on my body that my neck and shoulder had less pain and I did not have to visit the physical therapy very often. In the meanwhile, while wife enjoyed repeating same movement everyday, I could vaguely feel the fighting techniques from the movement, then I gained the Kung Fu interest when I was watching the practice by my Kung Fu brothers. With the hope being a heron for every young boy, that ambition is growing up, and I was glad learning Tai Chi Kung Fu.

For a person in their late twenties who enjoys athleticism, competitive activities, and an enjoyment of mastery, tai chi has proved to be one of the most rewarding things i can do for myself. Zhao Bao tai chi taught by master peng has given me a more complete perspective on training my body, my energy and my mind. Because this tai chi has more of a martial background, i was initially attracted to learn its techniques applied for self defense. What i learned was beyond just its martial application. The culture and philosophy is the core of its teachings. They point to truthful principles of how life and energy functions within our body, and throughout life. Master Peng is able to artfully articulate these invisible mechanics in ways we can all understand- not only can he talk about it, but he can show it. I highly recommend learning from him. I dont know why I couldnt find my previous review. Anyways this is one of those secrets that you wish more people would know not because you want to reveal a secret but that it would benefit others in a way that you feel selfish not to do so. If you want to learn taichi thats been standardized and lost all original purpose of taichi then this wouldnt be the place. However if you want to really learn taichi in all its secret sauce that are lost even in China then you should feel lucky to stumble upon this place (or my review) then congratulations you just won the review lottery. :)

My husband follow the Mater Peng get training for the Tai Chi and he always told me how amazing on the Zhao Bao Tai Chi. I only studied here for 4 months before I sadly moved away from the area. But I loved the blend of traditional forms, push hands, as well as punches/kicks/joint locks. There arn’t too many places I’ve seen in the Bay Area where you can get the meditative and exercise benefits of Thai chi while also learning to defend yourself. Master Peng is the real deal.

After my surgery in 2004, my recovery was very slow and I was very weak. I felt tired easily, my blood circulation was worse and I always felt cold. My digestion was really bad, I never felt hungry and a bite of meat of any kind would keep me full the entire day. I could not fall asleep easily and did not sleep soundly when I did.My husband and I wanted to learn Taichi to improve our health. We have taken lessons from multiple instructors before we met Master Peng at a speech hosted by our Taichi instructor.In 2012, its our first time hearing about Zhao Bao Taichi. His speech caught our attention and we were so impressed by his demonstration afterward. At the time, Master Peng only taught Taichi in Milpitas, Northern California. We were lucky to invite Master Penn to teach a group of us in Tustin, Southern California.Since Jan. 2013, Master Peng has been so committed to teaching us. He has taught us in person every month and he never skips a lesson regardless of how busy he is. Master Peng is very knowledgeable and has mastery of many different kinds of Chinese Kung Fu. He patiently introduces Zhao Bao Taichi and teaches us not only how to practice every form, but most importantly is teaching us how Taichi can improve the health of our mind and body.After a few months of learning and practice, I noticed that my energy had increased. I sweat every day during Taichi practice and hardly feel cold anymore. My leg and arm muscles are also firm. One of the most exciting improvements is the improvement of my digestion. Master Wayne Peng is an authentic ZhaoBao Taichi lineage master. Only from his detailed teaching, I can appreciate why Taichi is so powerful and intelligent in both KungFu and health. My appreciation is not just by words or watching master’s practices but through daily practices and obvious body/mind health benefits gradually built up. Master Peng very emphasized the puncture limb and body movement, timing and correct forms. That makes a big difference from other Taichi teachers and my personal experience can testify its amazing effect.There are many videos about Taichi on internet which is good and bad. Master Peng gave me a lot of detailed instructions on various forms of 24,43,56 and 72 and twelve standing positions,basic joint movement exercises. These practice helps a lot on my coordination and improves significantly on my flexibility. Because of its structural and scientific features built inside the forms,I was intrigued and continued studying in this place ZhaoBao Taiji Quan since 2012. Also Master Peng taught traditional Qigong like basic breathing techniques,Yijinjing and Liuzijue,Wuqinxi。All these combinations help my overall health。There is special one thing to mention:the Tuishou exercise. This exercise could be done between friends and family members and it is fun.

If you are looking for real Tai Chi as it was passed down nearly 700 years ago, then youve come to the right place. Master Peng teaches Zhao Bao Tai Chi with one main principle in mind: Never to change a movement that was passed down from his master. This same rule was also passed down by his master and the master before him.What makes this Zhao Bao Taichi unique is that it is both practical for combat and excellent for fitness training, and Master Peng doesnt just tell you in the theory of how to protect yourself using Tai Chi but he can actually demonstrate it on groups of hostile audiences who comes challenging him on stage.Ive been practicing since 2016 and what made me fell in love with it is that it changed my perception of human physiology. The whole philosophy behind Zhao Bao Taichi is everything falls in circular motions.To give you an example, walking forward may look like a linear motion, but when you start to explore the details like how to rotate along the long axis of your bone while moving, then you may find that the synchronized rotation of all your joints in order may create a momentum that connects everything in a circle.For me, understanding and practicing the micro rotations of joints provided stronger and more stability for my movement and postures. For this reason, I would recommend this to the elderly who wants to reduce aging-related accidents and also to the young who wants to build a stronger foundation.

Honestly speaking, Master Peng is the best Taichi master who I ever know. He is the first one who revealed the secret of Taichi to me. In modern China, Taichi is a sport just for health. But in ancient China, it was also a skill for self defense. Master Peng showed me how to use this skill step by step in his classes. Zhao Bao is the most oldest Taichi school in China. A lot of people want to learn Taichi to help to improve their health. Its critical to learn it correctly from the beginning. However, its hard to find a teacher who really mastered Taichi and knows how to teach you step-by-step. I highly recommend Master Pengs Zhaobao Taichi. I learned Zhaobao Taichi from Master Peng in private lessons at the beginning for a few years and practiced daily average only half to one hour. Zhao Bao Tai Chi is a great Gung Fu martial art gym. I learnt Taichi from master Wen Peng a while ago . that was a very interestingand fun learning experience. I agree with the above review. Master Peng is the most skilled and legitimate internal martial arts master I have ever met in my 25+ years experience practicing martial arts and searching for a qualified master. Although Zhaobao Tai Chi is not as famous as the others, it is the most pure in my opinion. I formed this opinion after extensive research and witnessing many of the other major styles in person and through videos. Out of the Zhaobao lineage, Master Peng is the most qualified lineage holder. His Grandmaster, Songyun Hua (the 11th generation master) lived with the famous 10th generation master Zheng Wuqing the entire time he was growing up, and was the best of the last generation of disciples. Master Peng was the best disciple of Grandmaster Songyun Hua and due to such was handpicked by Grandmaster Songyun Hua to teach alongside him for many years in Hong Kong. In the end, though, none of this history matters...interested students should just come in and witness Master Peng first hand be able to subdue one with a finger or two. That should make a believer out of anybody.

This place is the most legit Tai Chi martial art studio in the bay area, or even the whole US. Master Peng was a real San Shou (like MMa) fighter and has learned many applicable fighting skills in his life time. Zhao Bao Tai Chi is the one and only form he thinks is the most useful in real life combat. Regardless of its application, practicing Tai Chi form has help many of his students, including me, to stay on top of our health. The best Tai Chi master in US.+ After 3 years of practice with Master Wayne Peng.I came from no martial art background at all. I came to Master Pengs studio about 3 years ago, when I was suffering from headache, neck pain, shoulder pain, high stress. At that time, I have tried whatever I can try in the western medicine world, like chiropractic, physical therapy, massage etc. Nothing truly works. Or I should say, they all worked, for about a day, then all the issues come back. I then turned to Eastern for help and thats when I found Master Peng. To overcome all these problems, you have to stay relaxed all the time and have an effective way of controlling your own stress and anxiety.
