Rented the Kubota KX057-4 for the weekend. Mary was very pleasant to work with on the reservation. Paul, their friendly driver, had the machine to me nice and early. The machine is amazing. I was amazed at how quickly and intuitive that the controls are. If you want to get some serious work done quickly, this is a slam dunk!

Rented a Bobcat mini-excavator for a couple of days. Carelessly put a track off shortly after the machine was delivered, but support/repair tech was there within an hour and had me running again in twenty minutes. (Thanks again, Ray!) No complaints there. Machine was in good condition and operated satisfactorily. Overall good experience, and no reason not to recommend them.

Rented a uhaul. Service was great, staff was very polite and courteous. Will come back when I need a skid steer or mini excavator.

Place is hit or miss. Sometimes great...sometimes not. Seen plenty of upset customers in there. Never seen anyone come in upset and leave anything less than irate. There will be no explanations, no concessions. Read everything,do your own research, and trust no one. Everything is fine unless something goes wrong...then good luck. Im ranking 2 stars because of the 3 times ive rented from there recently, the most recent was unpleasant. Maybe Ill change if i decide to rent from here again. Some people seem to think its great.

Rented a tent, tables and chairs from Balcom Brothers for the NH Sheep and Wool Festival. Ray came and set it up, prior to the event, and was there sunday to pick up everything. Tables and chairs were clean, and the tent was BRAND NEW! Great experience overall, will definitely use them again.

My husband rented a sander to strip our floors for refinishing. They told him it was the right one, but he wasnt sure. When he used it, it did not strip the floor since it was really made for the final step. When he returned it and told them it did not work, they had some words not worth repeating for him, and gave him no refund. He went to another store, got the sander he needed, and completed the job in one day, so not user error. I would not recommend this business.

I have been renting from Balcom Brothers since they opened the facility in Milford on Rt 101 — not just construction equipment, event items such as chairs! They normally have what I need, when I need it. Their pricing is good and they will take time to review the equipment with me.

We rented a floor sander from then we had it for an hour we explained to the girl that we didnt use it if we could get our money back or even a credit and they refused first and last time renting from them.Guess they need the $40.00 more than me I give them 0 stars

The owner of Balcoms berated me and my family as we were loading my brothers van into a car transport for his Uhaul trip to TX. He arrived at the business and immediately told us to get the f*** out of here because we were temporarily blocking the way to the back of his garage while loading the van onto the transport (as we were finishing up). Mind you, the Uhaul spokesman with the cane told us to put the car transport where we had it, it wasnt our fault, we were told it was okay. As we were checking the safety straps before we left, he came back out to us and yelled you need to get the f*** out of here. He didnt ask politely like a rational person would, he berated us to leave. This was after we dropped $600+ on Uhaul.Not only that, but he was yelling at us while other peoples children, including my own son, were around. The ultimate disrespect was as we were getting into our cars and about to go, he comes out one last time to tell us off, threatening us if we didnt leave, like he didnt see us all getting into our cars. I really believe he was drunk, high or both. I mean, we werent there longer than 10 min after he arrived... Seriously.Its completely unacceptable for a business owner to berate people who are paying customers (Uhaul was on his lot and they pay him for the space). Luckily for Mr. Balcom, my step father didnt hear the threatening things he said to me or my mother before we left or the owner would of needed someone else to pick his teeth up from off the ground. His disrespect even prompted me to yell back, and Im not nearly as violent as my step father can be. He got off lucky there, especially in a stand-your-ground state.Case and point, he probably does this often and gets away with it. His employees probably secretly hate him. Do your business somewhere else, not here. Never here. Heres a listing of party rental places near Milford that may (or may not) have a questionable alcoholic or drug addicted owner running it.

We rented a serious rotatiller and Bush hog this weekend. They had flawless equpment, great service, helpful staff, good prices and good hours!

Returned UHaul rental clean and was charged $25 for sweep of box. Had footprints from rain I guess. One minute sweep almost same price as rental. Robbery. Never again.
