I was shopping near the salon and stopped in to get my daughter a haircut and was amazed. I tell everyone to go here, the service is fantastic and the prices are great. I see Deanna and she is AMAZING. My daughter and mother in law see Rachel and she is amazing as well. I would recommend them 100%.
I am only being generous with these 2 stars because of how friendly everyone in the salon was and the overall environment itself. 3 Days after my first visit to the salon I had to come in again for a redo. Normally I’d just let it go the first time- especially bc I live 45 min away- but my total was $310 and I felt what I had was not worth the money WHATSOEVER. (The only reason I knew about the redo policy was because my hairdresser Mindy had told me about it prior to me even saying I had a problem with how my hair looked-Which leads me to believe she knew she could have done a better job.) Walking in the first day I had brassy blonde hair with brown roots coming in. I had asked for a cool blonde balayage and showed my hairdresser the picture of exactly what I wanted. I left that day with a cleaned up version of the hair I walked in with. I was disappointed and told her it was a little more yellow than I had asked for. She said give it the weekend and come back on Tuesday if I was still unhappy. -So I did. Came back on Tuesday & left with a GRAYISH PURPLISH version of what I already had in the first place and barely a balayage. I look like a clown. It does not melt into the blonde like a balayage is intended to do. There’s also little spots in the back and where the transition is supposed to be, that still look very brassy-ESPECIALLY compared to this gray purple. I showed my regular hairdresser how it looked and what I originally asked for and she told me that my hairdresser was probably being lazy and all the ways she should have done it. Also, another hairdresser did my blow dry the second time & then told me that I had to pay for it ON MY REDO..AFTER IT WAS ALREADY DONE.. I should not be spending any more money especially when I am not informed in the first place that it is even an additional cost. It is enough of an inconvenience having to miss work to get a redo. Luckily, the kind lady at the front desk said I was good to go and didn’t need to pay a thing..just goes to show how knowledgeable the hairdressers are. (Last photo is what I asked for)
Professional staff and superb customer service. They are truly there for You. Relaxing atmosphere, beautiful decor and an amazing experience. I truly recommend for all your hair care services. Wait til you experience the lather lounge, shampoo services include a scalp massage in the most relaxing dim light and the sound of water in a quiet area of extreme comfort. From the moment you enter the door ofthis salon til you exit you will be experiencing an overabundance of joyous momentum.
I went in to Captiva yesterday for the first time and had Samantha. She is an amazing, fun, down to earth, knowledgeable and talented artist. The look I was going for required several steps and she dedicated a huge chunk of her day to achieve it. She educated me on what would be safest for my hair and delivered a beautiful vibrant result. Ive found my artist! All of the artists are so friendly and welcoming; the owner even came up to me and made me feel at home. The salon is absolutely beautiful and so relaxing. I even received a complementary take-home kit to maintain my color. The best salon experience Ive ever had. Very grateful!
Always have a great experience at Captiva in Milford. Deanna is awesome at what she does. She is professional and you can tell she loves what she does. I will continue to see Deanna.
Visited the salon for the first time and my stylist was Nashlie! She Was is excellent, Very professional and made me feel very pampered. Her pricing was very fair and I am definitely coming back I highly recommend you check her out. 5 star experience 🙌🏼
Incredible! They think of everything! My color looks amazing. The entire experience was relaxing. It was like being in a spa and salon all in one. Crystal is fantastic!
I used to live in NYC and had my hair done at one of the top salons. Once I moved to CT, I had to search until I found the same quality and I did here at Paul Mitchell!!! My hair stylist is Jonathan and he is amazing!!! I walk out a sexy goddess every time!!!
My favorite local salon, here you can get your wash with a scalp massage behind a pane of waterfall windows, with tranquil music playing in the background. You can have tea with your morning haircut, or a nice glass of white in the evening, and get your hands moisturized while youre at it. They offer a range of keratin treatments (to control wild hair like mine) and a variety of different color options, including non-permanent. Its worth a stop if you find yourself in need of a haircut, they do mens cuts, a range of other services, and they take walk-ins.
I came here for a balayage/ cut and the service was fantastic. It was my first time here. It was a salon/spa experience. Nicole was professional and she did an amazing job on the balayage. My hair turned out great. At first I thought the color was a bit too light, but after seeing everything come together, it looks amazing! I highly recommend Nicole. A very clean place that has experience stylist and a ton of products for hair. There is also a water cascade wall in the hair washing room, which made the experience very relaxing.
I have been having Tracy cut my hair for a few months now. I just had her color my hair. I got exactly what I wanted light brown with a warm gold tone. Thanks Tracy!!!

Its a very nice place and friendly staffs. But i wouldnt go back again. I wanted my hair color, but my hair dresser (Victory) wasnt a good listener. She ended up apply the same color as my natural hair to cover a few strain of grey hair (ONLY THE ROOTS). Really? what about the rest? She left untouch. So my hairs look EXACTLY THE SAME and got charged full price for coloring. i went somewhere else tried to lightening it, but it would cost too much money, and it would ruin my hair.
Anna is the absolute best! Not just a stylist, shes an artist! Anna perfects my hair every visit!!
35 bux for a mans haircut? No thanks.
Great experience!!
Good but expensive
