I recently moved into Newport Apartments that were totally renovated and a lovely place to call home. The grounds are kept up nicely along with the pool area.While dealing with Sean and the maintenance team has been a pleasant experience, the so called manager Bill is less then accommodating, rude, and so condescending. How this man works with people is beyond me. I will only deal with SEAN moving forward. He his kind, understanding and listens with a caring ear. I hope that old miserable man (bill) retires soon and Sean is the only one to deal with people. I gave it 4 stars because Bill is huge negative for me!

I lived here for a year. The community of people are very nice (a huge Indian community), however the property manager “Bill” is very rude! I always despise when I had to speak to him. He makes you feel less than and does not know how to speak to people. I would often send my husband because he seem to be kinder to men. Also, everything in my apartment was electric which made the electric bill a bit higher than I liked. Also the bathroom paint would bubble up and strip because of the humidity. It was my first apartment so I thought that was normal, now renting else where I haven’t had the problem. I assume it’s because the ventilation isn’t that good.I think any cooperation that you are spending money with should make you feel just. I did not get that from this location which is why I left.

Bill was an awfully nice guy and i enjoyed my experience there. the landlords were fantastic in terms of keeping the apartments in top shape. i dont know what all the fuss about the building because i saw nothing wrong with it.

I lived in Newport Apartments, Maintenance people are very slow, they took 2 weeks to fix my A.C. in peak summer time. Leasing manager Bill is the worst person I have ever seen in my life.He is arrogant and harsh person.He is working there from last 30 years so he feels like he owns all the apartments. This place would be a better place to live if they replace Bill with some decent person.

Such a horrible apartment. Owner is just sitting to make money from the people.Day 1st after moving found bed bugs, owner i am not responsible for that.Day 20th Decreases the Air conditioner temperature in summer. How we can live in 74. It’s really disgusting.2nd month found Centipede on my bed sheets, ask with owner for the spray, owner said we will charge and we are not responsible for those.Laundry machine is broken from last one month no repairing so far. Owner getting money every month that’s it.Laundry machine is very small, and 1.75 is very expensive according to the machine.living in US from 5 years. Never seen this kind of apartment owner. Guys think 1000 time before moving in this apartment complex.I don’t have any option for the picture here, otherwise i don’t mind to upload bedbugs and Centipede pic. Which i found in our apartment.

Dear current / Future residents in Newport or robert treat apartmentsI am sharing my experience with this community1. Community and schooling is good and leasing office service is also OK2. The day you move in try to record entire apartment and keep a copy with you and give a copy to leasing office3. If you see any bugs doesnt matter bed bugs or other bugs inform to leasing office immediately and clear it off4.any repairs during your stay dont hesitate to inform leasing office and fix it before you move out5. Before you move out try to get appointment for inspect the apartment condition with lease owner though the apartment is clean and as is condition, though you stayed more than period of 2 yearsLeasing office is collecting huge amount as part of fixing and cleaning though the apartment is maintained well as is and emptyThough u didnt find any bugs during u r stay still they are collecting money for clearing bugs.

Terrible experience here. Repairs are done after consistent nagging; and even then they show up unannounced. Pests encountered here included field mice, cockroaches, silverfish, house centipedes and the dreaded bed bug. But still, nothing was worse than the two-legged rats; management often berates the visa workers that tend to end up living here because of the train station; also has an aversion to keeping any semblance of office hours --and like oil and water-- defies accountability for any issues.

Apartments & Aminities are good.. Cheaper compared to neighborhood apartments.. Guy named Bill is a specimen though.. Run if you can afford better..

Since we tend to live together with fellow colleagues in community, and afraid to live independently, places like these are still in business.1. They dont work on any lease plans other than 1 year lease.2. Play area is not good.3. They charge you an arm and a leg citing most common issues.Not a great place, but unfortunately have to stay here for little less than 2 years.

I was in Robert Treat since last 6 years. The apartments are good but the Manager Bill HE IS A WORST GUY EVER I HAVE MET IN this country. I have never seen as RUDE as him in this country. If my ethics allow me I will lift him along with his big chair and throw him in apartment dumpster. They know very well that Robert Treat and Newport are full with 90% Indian families and they also know that Indians are calm and they dont usually complain/argue so he abuses peoples good behavior.I can give you number of bad experiences with Bill. Dont ever think to come to live here man!. Otherwise you will have to deal with him

We have been residing in these apartments for almost 8 years now. Apart from the prime location and great play areas for kids, everything else sucks and the latest pain are the increasing theft incidents of private property (Kids bikes, scooters, patio furnitures, GPSs and other valuable personal belongings from cars etc...). This has been raised several times with the authorities but there is hardly any action from their side. We have been asking them to at least take some corrective measures like install more street lights and surveillance system which is a very basic requirement from security standpoint. But all in vain. The incidents are increasing day by day and it is becoming a bit difficult to reside here any more.

I would say maintenance team is good and response is timely. But Leasing office manager Bill is very rude. we have asked change of apartment from New port to Robert treat and the way Bill spoke made us leave. Bill is very harsh and there is no upgrades i.e from 1 Br to 2 Br or change of apartments from Newport to Robert Treat. I have asked them for change of apartment at the end of lease, but Bill guy is rubbish. attaching latest photo of Laundry room. Laundry room is now getting worse, always overflow of water, no one cares.

I am writing this review having just walked out of a lease signing, cash in hand.The manager, Bill, is so unbelievably rude and cruel that he literally made my girlfriend cry in the parking lot. He was 20 minutes late to our lease signing and had the day wrong entirely that we were to show up. His superintenant had to let us into the office due to his tardiness.Upon entering, he didnt even greet us or apologize for his tardiness. He started huffing and puffing and throwing his keys around on his desk. We quietly read the lease and explained to him that we would like to see the apartment we were to occupy, since one of the terms of the lease legally asserted I have seen the apartment and am satisfied with its condition.Bill tersely cut us off and said what am I going to show you, someone elses dirt? This is how Ive done it for years and you have to take my word. Take your word, Bill? You cant even show up on time when someone is prepared to PAY YOU MONEY.I am baffled by this experience. I was prepared for the general legal headache that attends moving in somewhere, but what I was not prepared for was what an absolute reprobate troll this man was. He didnt even try to be polite. Moving in somewhere is supposed to make you feel like you are creating a new home, not that this man is doing you a favor simply by taking your money.

Recommended for families as it has large indian community

I stayed here for 4 years. I feel that the apartment location is very ideal. close to I95, Boston Post Rd, Milford Station, making the connecticity easy. About the Apartment the condition is pathetic, molds on walls, water coming in from windows as no proper insulation done. Did the complaint but they never fixed it properly. They recently installed new spilt AC/Heating units which work great. for which they opened the closets but never came to fix them.The maintenance guys are very lazy. they dont attend issues seriously. Dany the maintenance guy needs to retire. But overall very friendly neighborhood.

TOTALLY UNSAFE PLACE FOR RESIDENTSThere have been numerous incidents at Robert Treat and Newport Apartments in the past 2 weeks (June 2016) and no action has been taken by the management. Some are presumably doing drugs inside the front door of the apartments near the stairs claiming to be charging their phones. Bicycles have been stolen from the premises as well as GPS has been stolen from the cars. Also, there have been physical injury to the residents (one person was bleeding on his lips when he was hit by the intruder) and the 2nd person has injured and has suffered fracture on his hand when hit by the intruder. PLEASE ENSURE TO DO YOUR COMPLETE DUE DILIGENCE BEFORE RENTING IN THIS COMPLEX. Residents went as a group to the management office on Saturday, July 2, 2016 to complain and asked the office manager, Bill to take immediate action and the residents also made suggestions to keep the premises secure, but to no avail. It has become a TOTALLY UNSAFE PLACE FOR RESIDENTS. Women are now scared of taking a stroll with their children. If someone knows a criminal attorney, please post it here so that an action can be taken against this management company. Also, please use social media, news media, and any other means to expose this management company taking advantage of the residents.

Community is good but it should have enough lighting on pathways and parking area

We have been staying here for a long time and never complained much but the incidents happened in the past 2-3 weeks are really scary and exposed all the facilities/maintenance provided by the apartments. A lot of cars have been broken, 3-4 different incidents of racial abuse and attacks on residents happened in the recent past. Bike theft is the most common thing here and not new but feeling very unsafe here, even after repeated follow ups, society is not putting enough lights in the premises. The new port side is quite dark in the night and is a haven for the thieves. Not a safe place to live with family any more...

Went to visit the apartment today however it was flatly refused by Bill the property manager. He was downright rude and had no manners to talk with women. We were thinking of giving him a tight slap with the way he talked with us. It was a shame of having such weird people. 0 stars for the person.

There is a person, his name called Bill and he is a super rude. He dont know how to respect others, however he talks a lot about respect . lol...

“Bill” the business manager worst man ever he is the most racist human kind I ever met I went in to renew the lease and when we went in the office I said “sir” with respect that he doesn’t deserve we have a lot of humidity in the apartment we have kids in the apartment they keep getting sick 😷 because of the mold and humidity he literally keeps ignoring like a ignorant person keeps on taking calls we left the office we went in the office multiple times but he just doesn’t give a damn about anything they just keep on collecting rent and don’t care if there tenants are good my next step is goin to the state if they don’t do anything about this issue

In the last month, theft, assault has increased. ?The parking lot is not well lit. Management turning blind eye. I was assaulted by an outsider and we are unable to resolve problem.Management not responding positively to our concern

The managment staff is so cheap. I was looking for 1 BR apartment and they told me $20 more than what they have mentioned in their flyers which were they keeping outside.

This is the Worst Apartments i had ever stayed.I am staying US from 6 years but these guys are very rude to their tenants and also these are very old apartments.I moved from these apartments.Worst Apartments and Worst Customer service
