I have been seeing Micheal for four years now and he is very knowledgeable and sweet . He’s always on top of what I need and provides great feedback to any problems or questions I May have with my treatment plan . I feel very comfortable talking to him I highly recommend him for treatment only good things to say about him .

This is a heads up to any transgender people and women who may consider becoming a client of Michael Valalik. I came across his profile on Psychology Todays Psychiatrist Finder by searching for psychiatrists who specialize in transgender issues. Upon researching him on his own website, I noticed he mentions being greatly influenced by Jordan B. Peterson. Jordan B. Peterson is a widely discredited misogynistic and anti-trans psychologist who famously refuses to call transgender people by their pronouns, and gained a great deal of attention when he came out against the Canadian bill to include gender identity in the hate speech code. With just a paragraph biography on his website, Michael Valalik telegraphs what he stands for and including Jordan B. Peterson as a major influence is a RED FLAG for anyone who isnt a white male. Michael Valalik also is trained in hypnosis, which seems a very terrifying thing to combine with such polemic views as Jordan B. Petersons.UPDATE: In response to Mr. Valaliks assertion that I am a troll, I would like to call attention to the intensity of his response--that by drawing attention to his self-affiliation with Jordan Peterson he says I defame [his] reputation and spit on [his] hard work. That is an intensely emotional and aggressive response that does nothing to address the fact that he aligns himself with a psychologist who asserts that transgender people should not have their pronouns respected. I would greatly appreciate Mr. Valalik explaining how he can hold these two things in harmony: respecting his trans clients and his reverence for a anti-trans bigot. Were he able to calmly address that, I would be willing to take down my review. I am not out to harm his reputation or career, but I am deeply concerned about that major contradiction and would advise other transgender people to beware unless he can clear up this issue.
