I love bringing my dog to this clinic! The entire staff is so friendly, and the vets spend time to really explain everything to you. They never offer any services they don’t think are really necessary or would greatly benefit your pet. I appreciate how much they care for my pet and I would (and do) recommend them to everyone!

Ive been going to NAH for over 15 years and my dogs get the best of care including my dog of 14 years that I had to put down recently. Caring and compassionate, the staff do their upmost to be supportive you and your pets. I highly recommend NAH for all your pets needs

Love Newport Animal Hospital and Clinic. Everyone is amazing, especially Dr. Phan. Have trusted our 4 cats and 1 dog to them for years. They literally saved the life of our tuxedo cat Jordan back in 2011 and he is still going strong (when not napping).

My dog had a foot and nail problem. I called the office and was told to come right over. I was taken in quickly once I arrived and saw our regular vet. I was very happy she was seeing my dog since she has cared for him since she was a puppy. The veterinarian addressed the problem directly and resolved the matter perfectly. I am very happy with the care my dog gets every time I go whether for routine or emergent issues. I wouldn’t trust my dog to anyone else.

I want to start off by saying how much I appreciate Newport Animal Hospital. This week I had a emergency with my dog, she started taking seizure after seizure and wouldnt stop. I called everywhere in the area and not one person cared as I was hysterically crying, begging them to let my dog see a Vet. I was turned away at Bay State, Mass-RI, and every other animal hospital around. Finally, as I was going down the list, I called here. The woman I spoke to on the phone was so sweet, even though Im sure she could barely understand what I was saying (hysterical). She put me on a brief hold and came back to tell me they would see my dog and to bring her asap, theyd have a room ready and waiting. Unfortunately, my dog passed away in my moms lap on the way there. My mom took her in, they checked for a heart beat and confirmed, she infact did pass away. They took her body to be cremated (as requested). They were all so nice. Today I received a sympathy card and it meant so much to us. Thank you, thank you so much! This was my first experience here. They showed me they do care about their animals and clients, even if youve never been there before! Thank you all!-Daisys family

My accident prone Labrador has been a patient at NAH since he was a puppy and we have always had a wonderful experience between the staff and vets. He also has chronic conditions he is also treated for and the staff treat him as if he is their own pet. They are always prompt and provide a wide range of services. Dr Wood is amazing however every single vet we have seen has also been great. No matter who you see they do a wonderful job. Highly recommend!!

The practice fit us in bc our fog had cut his paw badly. The office was immaculate, organized and well run. The staff and the vet were polite, friendly and professional. I did not wait long and my dog was well taken care of. A+ In every way!

I recently moved to Boston and will not take my pets anywhere else. They were amazing to my cat for her six years of life and treated every eye infection, ear infection and upper respiratory infection with the utmost care. They answered questions over the phone and they worked with me financially when my cat needed multiple appointments.They were so compassionate when it came time to put the family dog down and stayed late on a Saturday so I could sit on the floor and cry.They treated my concerns about my new cats (13 months) lack of appetite with professionalism and did not run unnecessary tests and shes home, happy and eating. They also gave her medication for travel without an appointment.Bananas and I will travel the 60 miles when she needs to be seen because I will go nowhere else. Newport Animal Hospital is family medicine for pets through and through!

I took my new senior cat, Lillie there on 6/16/21. The staff/vet techs were very understanding of my cats anxiousness and back issues which made me feel good. The only experience I wasnt happy with was vet herself, I forget her name. I just found her to be a bit off-putting when explaining my concerns. I feel she really didnt understand these needs and concerns of my senior girl. After my initial visit, I didnt feel happy about my experience with her. It just left me feeling a bit upset. Next time I come in, I wish to see a new vet whom is more caring and understanding.

As a new client and having a specific immediate need to have a fecal test for my dog, the reception was very helpful when I called to relay my needs and when I arrived, they took all of my information and were able to set up my profile. I also got the results back in less than 24 hours and they also sent directly to the doggy daycare facility. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great first impression.

My pup hates going to the vet, I couldn’t even get him through the door so I switched to these guys. He has never been so well behaved before at a vet. My pup seems to really like and trust them. They are so patient with him even though he talks the whole time (German shepherd). I had to bring him back outside for a pee and he walked right back in on his own. They’re just really good with dogs. At the last place it took 2 people to help get him through the door.

Vets and Vet Techs are great- kind, compassionate, helpful. However the front office/receptionist staff are horrible. Rude, short and just not who you want to be dealing with. Every encounter has been met with an attitude and just not worth it.

Dr. Phan and all the staff take gentle and diligent care with my Peke Gidget, who is a very difficult patient. They are thorough, patient and have a good sense humor about her drama while acknowledging and respecting her fear. I am very thankful and I highly recommend them.

I’ve been taking my dog to Newport Animal Hospital for three years now and have always had a positive experience. From the vets to the techs to the people working at the front desk, everyone is so friendly. My dog is sometimes anxious about going (when getting her nails cut especially). Dr Chris Fain fitted us in with same day service (thanks to a cancellation) to check out our Black Lab, Beauregard, who had been crying, restless, and favoring his left front leg. Chris ran a battery of tests and gave Beau an anti-inflammatory injection plus a prescription for more of the same. Beau was significantly improved when we got home. He settled down, slept well, and did not display any discomfort thru the night. He seems much better today. Dr. Fain has been taking good care of Beau since he was a puppy, that’s why we followed her from Vet Services of Wickford to Newport Animal Hospital.

My dogs care and vet, Dr. Phan at Newport Animal Hospital are excellent. Though its a tad expensive, Dr. Phan and her staff constantly follow up with my dogs health after her visits. Dr. Phan is always looking out for ways to keep my dog healthy as she ages with her arthritis and mobility issues. I couldnt ask for a better vet and a better facility to help out with my dogs care.

Love Dr. Phan! She is great with Siggy and has taken great care of him over the last few years.

My dog Ginger was very scared and shaking during her check-up. The staff made her very comfortable and one team member held her the entire time to try to make her feel safe and didnt treat me like I was in the way. It was a good visit...expensive but a good visit.

Our first experience with boarding was phenomenal for my pets (2 dogs and a cat)!! The staff was very friendly and responsive, calling us when anything came up with the pets. Weve used countless boarding facilities across different states and this is a good one. My only dislike is the expensive price. I know I cant put a price on the well being of my pets, but this will deter me from boarding unless I absolutely have to. Overall, the experience was a good one and I do recommend this as an option for sure!!

I became concerned because my little senior cat developed a cough, she just wasn’t herself. I was able to get an evening appointment and bring Ebony in. Dr. Pasierb quickly came in to the treatment room, and diagnosed and prescribed medication. The two vet techs that weighed her and assisted were very caring and responsive. I have had a long-term relationship with Newport Animal Hospital and I am always more than pleased with the service and care provided. Check out was also very quick and professional, and we were on our way home within 30 minutes. Great overall experience couldn’t ask for anything better.

We brought our cat in to get follow-up tests done for his diabetes and hypothyroidism. The staff was very professional and pleasant to interact with. The vet who saw my cat was very kind and gave a lot of valuable information, and he also assured me and my fiancee that we were doing an excellent job with how weve administered medicine to our cat. Although our cat will likely not look forward to the next appointment, we are looking forward to brining him in for great veterinarian care.

The staff there takes adequate care of your pet and gets the job done right to make sure your pet(s) are happy and healthy. With that being said, you might wanna ask for dinner before the end of the appointment. Absolutely insane how bad they rip you off, every time I go here, I get lied to and cheated out of money. Today was extraordinary, pretty sure I got charged for a vaccine my dog did not receive but nonetheless, even if he did I specifically asked to have it done at a later date. Youll constantly be recommended to do more things that rip you out of more money, I wouldnt be shocked if there was a $100 fee just for breathing in their building. Im satisfied with the services but the bill dealt to me might have made me more angry than anything in my entire life. Unbelievable, hoping there is another place nearby who wont rob me blind.

My questions or concerns are always answered in a timely fashion but more importantly I always feel validated and respected when asking questions about the care or health of my dog. I love NPT animal hospital! Dr. Civic has taken care of all our 7 dogs over the past 20+ years. The staff is ALWAYS inviting, and especially comforting at hard times.

We had to bring our dog in for an emergency visit this weekend and the staff were so caring, supportive, and thorough. They followed up with a call outside of hours to keep us updated about lab results. We very much appreciate Newport Animal Hospital for all they do for our pup.

I will not go anywhere else for the care of my dog. They are not inexpensive but they take great care of my dog. This is the only place I will kennel him as well. The doctors are well informed and do not push meds and offer over the counter alternatives.

While my dogs might disagree slightly, they are a wee bit neurotic, I always feel they are in very good hands when visiting the newport animal hospital, by the attending vet and all of the techs and other staff members. in fact, I just highly recommended them to someone else just this morning.

The Bertuccio Family pets have had a great association with Newport Animal Hospital for the past 12 years. Ace the Chihuahua, Skye the cat and a very challenging bunny we fostered for Melville School were very impressed with the professional, accommodating, warm, kind care they received. (Okay, tbt, the bunny was not overly amused with having his teeth trimmed, but then again, who would be?) We have used both the veterinary and boarding services and have been very satisfied.

This place is way overpriced. The alarming part is that they deceived me by marking up the x-rays. The x-rays should not cost hundreds of dollars. They actually do not tell you that they mark it up. The mark ups should be clearly defined as fees, but they add the amounts to x-rays and other charges. I asked for an itemized bill which they did not want to produce. I complained about the couple of hundred charges on x-rays. I was told that someone would get back to me but no one ever called. I can tell that they purposely deceived me. Thanks Lynn for not getting back to me and acting so unprofessional. I could tell that you deceived me - it was written all over your face.

I have to give an amazing shout-out and thank you to Dr. Sheehan and her staff for being so fantastic on helping my German Shepherd. My dog has extreme anxiety at the vet and can be quite difficult to treat due to his size and strength. Dr. Sheehan is never nervous around him and spends extra time to ensure he is properly taken care of. Her professionalism is top notch and Im very lucky to have such a supportive vet that truly cares about helping my dog feel better and get him the right medicine he needs. I cant say thank you enough!!!

I’ve been a customer of Newport Animal Hospital for 10 plus years. I’ve always entrusted my 3 Pomeranians to them. Recently my dog Ozzy once again pinched a nerve in his neck. Reception is always professional, friendly, polite and accommodating. They always remember me and my other dogs Wolfie and Katie. I highly recommend them, Doctor Wood who took care of Ozzy is always spot on. Dr Phann is always excellent too as well as the other doctors, nurses and boarding facility staff. Ozzy had almost immediate improvement in mobility. I am super happy to call them a wonderful asset to this community.

Wonderful first experience with Dr. Phan and the staff at the Newport Animal Clinic. They were very patient with my over anxious cat, very thorough, and really warm people. They treated him for an ear infection and noted another issue that I had been concerned about but forgot to mention. Dr. Phan got back to me first thing the next day with blood work results. I felt the pricing was reasonable and they spent a long time with us. Very happy to have found them!
