I couldnt be happier with my new dentist. Dr. Nelson is very friendly, polite and explains everything in detail so that you can better understand what is happening. The girls in the front were very friendly, helpful and most importantly they greet you with a smile. The office is immaculate and they have amazing music that makes your practice more relaxing.

Squeezed me in for a work-related screening. Provided a thorough assessment and cleaning while informing me all along the way of process. Any additional costs were approved by me in advance.

Entry level dentist..work might look descent at first but the truth comes out a couple years later. incapable of performing root canals and enjoys putting bad crowns on patients! not recommended.

I always dreaded the visit to a dentist but Midtown Dental has changed that for me. I arrived 5 minutes early and was taken in almost immediately I did not sit in the chair forever waiting for someone to come in. Instead, I was being attended to right away. The office staff are the most courteous Ive encountered yet. My dentist, Dr Nelson showed professionalism, concern and was very pleasant when speaking to me. He spent ample time explaining what needed to be done and why. He was very thorough with his explanation and answered any and all my questions. Lets face it, no one really wants to go to the dentist but, if youre going to go, this dental office is definately the place to go.

My former dentist, Dr. Paula Hutchinson permanently closed her office and a phone recorded message indicated that patients were referred to a Dr. John Nelson. So, I called that office and made an appointment. But, I eventually found out that Dr. John Nelsons Midtown Dental office is very selective as it relates to insurance providers. Apparently, they only accept PPO insurance. Now, this makes me wonder if there was no clear communication between both doctors Hutchinson and Nelson before an agreement was made to transfer patients. Certainly, it should have been communicated between themselves that Dr. John Nelsons office only accepts high-end insurances so it wouldnt be feasible to transfer Dr. Hutchinsons patients with HMO and other lower-end insurances to that office. Or, did they simply not consider those patients with HMO and lower end insurances as important? This shows an incompetent handling of this important issue which has caused inconveniences to me and I am sure other former patients of Dr. Hutchinson. Certainly, the dentists may say this is an administrative matter but they, the dentists, are ultimately responsible for the unsatisfactory handling of the situation.

I had today 2 wisdom teeth extraction, I was very nervous about it. But the doctor Jerri was the absolutely amazing. She has such an easy hand the job was done in few minutes on both teeth, she help me a lot to relax and give me time as much as I needed to “get ready” for the procedure. Ive been to Midtown Dental twice--once for a cleaning and again for a health concern. Each time Dr. Nelson has thoughtfully listened to and answered my questions. His care and ability made me feel like I was in good hands. The office is very well-run. The staff is great. Everyone is kind, courteous, and efficient. Totally recommend!

Wasted my time. Once I arrived there they told me they do not work with my insurance plan when they said they do after talking over the phone.

My sister had horrible pain because of her wisdom tooth. Being a new patient it’s usually hard for a dentist to see you especially being that it’s a Saturday. I had a few fillings and cleanings done here, was pretty scared when he brought out the needle for the numbing agent however the pain was minimal - if you need any complex dental work I would highly recommend you get it done here as Dr.Nelson is an patient and knowledgeable dentist.

This has become our family dentist for my husband, myself and our 3 kids ranging 5-12. So happy to have found them! The prices are reasonable, you wont feel like youre being robbed! Not a big dentist person, but I have to say the whole time I was there I felt extremely comfortable and anxious free. Didnt have to wait long either like at most doctor offices, which is great so you can get along with day.Everything looks new and office is kept clean. Dr. John Nelson is the best Dentist that I have allowed to work on my teeth. I am not a fan of the Dentist. I had a root canal that I avoided for over 2 years. I had no pain with the treatment with Dr. nelson. I am know going to the Dentist with no fear! Great experience and would recommend to everyone.

Just got a root canal. Went into the procedure feeling nervous. Dr. Nelson was great. The procedure went smoothly and was relatively painless. I scheduled it during my lunch hour and Dr. Nelson was ready for me when i got there and completed the work ahead of schedule. Very good experience.

I can’t say enough good things about Midtown Dental. I have a tooth on the upper left side of my mouth that is holding a bridge of six units. Four dental professionals including periodontist and root canal specialists informed me that I am going to eventually lose the tooth, and I need several implants to hold the bridge or crowns. This evaluation was like a nightmare to me and stressed me tremendously. I heard about Midtown Dental from a friend of mine who lives in Miami, seeing her beautiful teeth that I could not believe they were crowns gave me the incentive to drive 190 miles each way to give this dentist my last consultation chance. Dealing with Midtown Dental was a pleasure. I am extremely impressed by the staffs friendliness, patience, helpfulness, and kindness. There is no waiting time, the office is very clean with the latest technology, for the first time I watched TV while Dr. Nelson was working on my teeth. I was always uptight when I went to the Dentist and have the worst phobia when it comes to needles; I didn’t feel any discomfort or pain not even the Novocain shots. Dr. Nelson made sure that I did not experience any pain or discomfort. The best thing that happened is he saved my tooth and replaced my bridge with no implants. I am so happy with the natural look of my teeth. I want to thank Dr. Nelson and his staff for everything they done for me. I proudly recommend him because he is the best dentist ever. He is very nice, understanding, knowledgeable, honest, calm, and patient, treated me as if I was his own mother and his quality of work is excellent.

The customer service I received from this Dental Office would be described as unimaginable. The staff there was rude, spoke to me in a condescending and belittling manner, and hung up the phone twice during a call because the Financial Advisor (who shall remain nameless) felt that my call was not as important as the other person she wanted to help. This Dental Office does not believe in handling situations in the best interest of the patient, but in the best interest of themselves. They did not properly communicate what my financial responsibilities would be as a patient, before the services were performed, so that I could be educated and make a decision thats best for me, as a paying customer. Instead, they stuck a receipt in my face after the services were done, and told me to sign here. No accountability was taken on their end, but instead, they wanted to put the fault on the insurance company, who had no idea of the services that were performed. The customer service provided was completely distasteful, and I regret ever stepping foot into that office.

I dont like to give a bad review but this time I need to. Ive been told that my insurance is covering 50% for my root canal so I need to pay only $350, also they gave me the invoice with that amount. After a week I went and after all was done I went to pay and the lady said that I need to pay $700, I was complaining, on that she said that she thought my root canal is gonna be done in two appointments and thats why it was $350 at the beginning. Root canal done on two app separate?? I contact my insurance, so at first they put $700 with 50% off for my root canal and after the service they changed it to a major service so that my insurance can cover only 15% and I need to pay the rest. With my insurance I have free cleaning that I was supposed to do in on my first app but that never happened...

Office staff unhelpful and would not honor benefits of an insurance plan in which they are a provider. Tried to tell me that benefits did not work they way they are clearly explained by both my carrier and in plan documents. Customer service fail, or bad practice policy? If the latter, they are unwilling to provide second opinion visit at rates under insurance policy. I would give zero stars if Google allowed it.
