The best place Ive ever worked for.Ive been working for the Lighthouse for many years. This is a place of excellence.The Lighthouse equally welcomes and treats everyone with respect and cordiality. Blind and visually-impaired clients are able to re-gain independence in their lives. Many have been able to go back to work.

I have worked for Miami Lighthouse (a private institution) for the past 6 years as the Senior Case Manager and I am in awe of the measures Miami Lighthouse takes to protect its clients and their families. Our organization provides services to babies, children, teenagers, young adults and seniors who are blind or visually impaired. The safety of our clients and families is our number one priority and we strive to take every measure to ensure both the privacy and safety of all clients who visit our facility is taken. Our goal every single day is that our clients become more independent and reach their ultimate potential. I love coming to work every single day and being a part of this amazing organization and their transformative mission.

Miami Lighthouse is an amazing place with exceptional staff. Both of my children attend the inclusive Learning Center Program and I could not be more grateful. The staff is caring and my children have learned so much!

Miami Lighthouse for the Blind has changed the lives of us and our daughter. Without their support and constant encouragement, raising an infant who is visually impaired would be be overwhelming, scary and clouded with sadness. Instead, our family feels privileged to be able to be a part of this incredible organization, thanks to our daughter. She is currently enrolled at the school and has participated in the infant programs - the effort and individual attention they provide to the families and students goes beyond any individual job description or salary- their drive comes solely from their passion to service those who are often overlooked in our society. I cannot thank them enough for their dedication.

Nice folks a established assistance center for the visual impaired...a childrens education center also they are great neighbor s just finished the outdoor area with a beautiful mural you can often see the assistance providing staff giving their clients great support and training on real situations with traffic and different every day situations that we whom can see take for granted...truly nice people...

The Miami Lighthouse for the Blind is celebrating 85 years of hope, confidence and independence. I have had the honor and the privilege of being in contact with them for over 12 years. I can say without hesitation that the Miami Lighthouse for the Blind has been an example of service, dedication and commitment for our community. I have seen for years the way in which they have helped thousands of blind and visually impaired people in our community to receive vision rehabilitation, eye health services, education and training to make them more independent and have a better future.

I cannot say enough about the Miami Lighthouse for the Blind staff and programs -- not enough to do it justice! The people there love what they do and they love their clients, as well. The partnership between them and the client familes is also praiseworthy! The music program is a dream beyond dreams. I recommend that anyone in the community, whether visually challenged or not, should seek to be affiliated through volunteering for and donating to the Miami Lighthouse.

Extremely beautiful souls work here that are absolutely dedicated to enriching the members of our community. Lots of programs for every age group and is all inclusive.

I used to be a client in the 90s. They are an incredibly talented staff. Very caring and devoted to their clients. They offer everything from vocational training skills to home independence training.

The pre-kindergarten classes have given so many blind children a better start to their lives. Many thanks to the leadership and staff of the Lighthouse. Without your dedication and unselfish help, the childrens program and so many other programs to help the blind would not be possible.

My experience as an employee at the Miami Lighthouse for the Blind has been extraordinary and I feel in my heart that I must share with others what a wonderful place the Lighthouse is. In 1990 I visited the Lighthouse out of curiosity and I fell in love with the place instantly it impacted me so much that I decided to apply for a job and within two weeks I was working as an Instructor in the Educational Services Department. I strongly believed in the mission of the Lighthouse it always did what it was meant to do rehabilitate the blind and visually impaired. I learned at the Lighthouse to give the best of me and my biggest satisfaction was to see individuals gain their self worth back and continue on with their lives, to integrate themselves back to work, school or remain leaving independently. With a heavy heart I left in 2003 to become my mothers caregiver. Thirteen years went by and today I find myself working again at the Miami Lighthouse; it is no longer a small agency it has grown tremendously in building size and in services I look around and cant help but to fill proud to be at the Lighthouse again. I am truly exited to be part of the new Learning Center for Children as the Pre-K Coordinator once again I have been given the opportunity to be part of this great organization during such an exiting era and for that I am very grateful. May we always embrace the changes required to continue to grow and provide the best services possible to the blind and visually impaired of all ages.

As some who worked here I can say this: Things are not as they appear.Underneath the candy coated surface there is a myriad of problems. The executive staff constantly disrespects and bullies the regular staff (the executive staff consists of 8 people, 6 of which are olympic bootlickers). If you are not with them, then you are against them. There is money that is donated to each program that magically disappears (most likely in the pockets of the aforementioned bootlickers). To save money, staff is constantly forced into wearing several hats regardless of having worked there 20+ years. Also, the CEO is a liar and a coward.I would love to elaborate on the positive as well but I dont feel like sweetening up my review.
