The best Dental clinic in all of Miami. Ive been a patient of Dr. Miranda since 2011 and I want to state that he is truly the best in the business. He is extremely knowledgeable and caring. Expect for him not to settle for anything less than what the patient needs and deserves. His staff, dental assistants, hygienists and the doctors he works hand-in-hand with are ALWAYS so welcoming, helpful and informative. I 10/10 recommend his office to all my friends and family.

Very professional and a clean office, but after my experience and reading others’ reviews, I think this office is in the practice of upselling and attempting to charge customers directly for services that can be covered by their insurance.In my case, I came in for a regular cleaning. They did x-rays and identified a wisdom tooth growing in. They informed me that it could be taken out easily and suggested it should be done that same day with an oral surgeon there even though he WAS NOT on my insurance, but they failed to inform me that another oral surgeon within their same office WAS covered by insurance. Not telling me of my options meant I paid $450+ out of pocket that would have been covered by insurance.Furthermore, they found two cavities. Their treatment should, according to the insurance company, be covered. However, I was charged for the complete procedure with nothing being charged to my insurance.I have another appointment to complete my recommended care — cleanings and fillings — and in good faith, I will ask to see why they are charging me for treatments that should be covered. However, up to now, it seems that they are more concerned with overcharging than taking care of their patients.

Been coming here for over two years and seem like service has been going down! Not sure who they have managing the schedule now but they’re always messing it up and even after they confirm my appointment when I show up they can’t find me and I have to do an appointment on a different day. I highly recommend NOT to use them. Will be moving to a new one.

I tried out this clinic after getting a new insurance policy with my new job and was completely disappointed. The dentist who saw me had terrible dentist/patient rapport and kept making me feel bad about the condition of my teeth. On top of that, he kept pushing unnecessary dental procedures like a deep cleaning even though I didn’t have periodontitis and he acknowledged that, but still pushed for it. I got 2 more expert opinions and both dentists said all those procedures except one was unnecessary and they were just trying to charge me for extra procedures. Needless to say, I’m not coming back.

Upon moving to the area 2 years ago, I decided to start coming to this office mainly out of the convenience of its location relative to where I live. As a person with good oral hygiene who routinely gets cleanings twice a year and thankfully no history of dental problems, I was taken aback when I was told by the hygienist who examined me for my first appointment that I had “pockets” along with swollen gums. Naturally I accepted her recommendations as a medical professional and purchased the prescribed medication and scheduled yet another cleaning within a few weeks (of which I had to pay out of pocket.) From there out, I continued getting my bi-yearly cleanings and was seen mainly by two other hygienists for the next couple of years. During this time, nothing had changed in my personal hygiene routine, and nether of the other two other hygienists raised any concern. For my last (and final) cleaning appointment I was seen by the hygienist who saw me the first time around, and sure enough began to give me the same run around about how I was going to need to purchase the same products as before and schedule yet another cleaning within a few weeks. I found it bizarre how I only seemed to have issues only when this particular hygienist examined me, so I decided to get another opinion at another dental office. I was then told that my teeth and gums were fine. In addition to this, I’ve also had an appointment that was “lost” and I have been forced to reschedule and I have also been called and asked to come in earlier only to be made wait 45-60 minutes on multiple occasions. I will not be coming back to this office nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. As a healthy patient I don’t appreciate being upsold or having my time wasted. This office has demonstrated both administrative and medical shortcomings time and time again.

You text me happy birthday but refused my dental insurance. I think this is something your company should correct. I will not be coming in for a cleaning or check up seeing as how you denied my dental insurance after sitting in your lobby for an hour waiting on an appointment I made.

I am petrified of the dentist and this place just makes you feel at home from entrance to exit! I couldn’t ask for a better dental office! I’m now looking forward to appointments instead of pushing them off! Dentist is knowledgeable and great and the staff is a perfect match! I went highly recommended by a coworker and now I know why!

I was created by a friendly lady at the desk. The office is in a nice area. I filled out the paperwork and didnt have to wait long before the Dr checked my teeth. They have my tooth fixed the same day as check up, was quick and professional looks great. Now I can smile in confidence. Thank you

Doubt many would describe a trip to the dentists office that way. He is always completely dedicated to making you comfortable and he always goes the extra mile to do everything he can to keep your teeth healthy and beautiful.

Dr Herrera was amazing, this is the best dentist Ive ever had, God bless her hands. She was so honest with me and did not try to up sale me, great price, had a molar extracted, didnt feel a thing, took her 20 seconds, unbelievable. I will die with this Dentist, thank you for a beautiful experience.

The doctors at Gateway Dental are nothing short of the most amazing and caring dentists to ever practice. I have had the pleasure of being treated at their practice for years and I actually look forward to going there ! Theyre friendly, humorous and very importantly humble. Ive had two implants installed about 3 years ago and they look and feel like my own, everyone I recommend them to always thanks me for the introduction. The staff makes you feel like family and theyre very sweet & kind. I have never waited longer than 5 to 10 minutes to be seen and last year even got a crown made the same day so I avoided a return visit... Take my advice, go see them and youll wonder why you havent gone there before.

Dr. Reynaldo Pita is the best!!! Very kind, professional and knowledgeable! I love the staff here too! Very kind and they helped us plan out the finances. So my boyfriend had a very bad toothache, he wasnt able to sleep the night before, so in the morning I called the office and they were able to see him! He was in so much pain. The doctor did an extraction because the tooth had already become rotten. And now my boyfriend feels great and we will definitely be coming back to do our dental work here. They accept Cigna insurance and we only had to pay a small amount. Definitely worth it! GATEWAY DENTAL IS THE BEST! THANK YOU!!

I went to a new dentist that is HONEST after 4 years of using Gateway Dental. At my new dentist, I was told that my teeth and gums are in excellent health and received my regular bi-annual cleaning at no additional charge. Gateway Dental is hard selling deep cleanings by denying access to regular ones. I know because I was denied an upcoming regular cleaning. Their annual diagnoses kept changing, resulting in a total of 4 different recommendations that consisted of 3 deep cleanings in 3 different areas and a non-existent cavity (my teeth aren’t prone to cavities). It’s interesting to note that what one dentist finds, another in the same office fails to identify. Their hygienists are also involved in their misdiagnoses, with one trying to bring me in every 4 months instead of 6, costing me 45 dollars out of pocket (not including 90 dollars to cover antibiotics). Another hygienist would say “he still has pockets” word for word, every time that one dentist would ask how the cleaning went (to open the way for the deep cleaning BS). I floss and brush my teeth after every meal so I knew that they were lying, especially with their changing diagnoses red flags. Thankfully, I never fell for any of their sales pitch dental scare tactics scams.Update to response received: (3/6/20): You respond to my review with this “excuse” over a year later!!?? You must be losing customers and money too of course. Too late! Besides, you can only guess my name because I’m not the only patient with “WM” as my initials. You should not of blocked my regular dental cleaning by forcing a deep cleaning just to make a profit. I see there were others subjected to the same scam as me, although I never fell for any of them thankfully. Next time don’t be so greedy.

Charging more money than other clinics with their extra fees, get a second opinion before you commit to this clinic. I went there to get an estimate since I need a root canal and a crown. They are charging 300% more for things that the insurance doesnt cover!! All these extra super expensive charges. They wanted to charge me $640 more WITH Insurance than with another doctor out of network.

They failed to informed me what my fees would be till after procedure was done. Now with a new debt due to their unproffesionalisn. Will not be returning. First time I deal with a dental office that charges the client and insurance company. Per manager this does not exist - lack of professionalism, knowledge over all very upsetting experience with administrative support. Dental team was great.

I was charged almost $700 for antibiotics the doctor swore I needed plus a deep cleaning instead of a regular one. I was told that from now on, every time I go to the dentist I will need a deep cleaning and antibiotics. I’m at another dentist now and guess what? No need for a deep cleaning nor antibiotics. Gateway dental is a scam. I do not recommend this dental office. They will tell you that you need services you do not need to make money off of you.

The staff is great, but the billing department is horrible. After a year I received a billed for services. Avoid a place like this if you don’t want to received extra surprise bills.

I had a terrible experience with them. I was told I paid in full, and then I was charged more in each visit about the same procedure. Unfortunately, each time was a different person and had no clue what was going on and was very confused. And when I requested for them to call me once they figure it out. I have not received any contact from them in 1 month.

Yamy, my dental hygienist is wonderful. She cares enough to get on my case when I dont floss. You can tell she takes pride in her profession! Love her! Dr. Pablo miranda is also one of the very best dentist I have seen. He us gentle and wants his patients to be happy. I can highly recommend both. Hope your experience is as pleasant as mine was!

I got ripped off big time by Gateway Dental. Specifically, I was charged $200 for an antibiotic that needed to be injected into my gums. I guess the insurance girl forgot to tell me that they also billed the insurance and got paid well advance of my visit. Here’s the worst part, they billed the insurance company $1400. I’m not saying everyone in the office is a bad apple but you got a watch that dental hygienist, Mazi Miller at the SW. 27th Ave. locationI reached out to my credit card company for the $200 charge back.

Went here once, Dr. Pita was very nice and knowledgeable however his staff was the absolute opposite. Before the appointment I called ahead to make sure they took my insurance (mind you I found them on the insurances website) they assured me they did and when I get there they gave me the most ridiculous fee schedule telling me that if I used my insurance I would end up paying more out of pocket, I said ok contacted my HR team and the staff at Gateway were so off. So in the next few days I went back to clarify with my fee schedule in hand, the lady I dealt with Solymar was sooo horrible. She said that the prices she gave me were correct I didnt believe her because I had my fee schedule that my HR team provided so I told her to have the office manager call me. So a couple hours later she calls me back (Solymar) and tells me they dont accept my insurance because they didnt want to pay (I dont even think this is something she should have shared with me, I dont believe it is the clients business). So in conclusion, the receptionist is a joy to speak to but the staff that deals with insurance and payments (Solymar) horrible. Needless to say I wont be going back or recommending this place to anyone.

We been waiting since June 2017 for a response for a dental surgery.I called today and now they telling me that it was never sent . That today they sent the insurance the request.

I attend one of their clinic handles, their professionalism and attention are EXCELLENT.As for the insurance, it is ABUSIVE, THEY CHARGE ME $ 380 FOR A COMPULSORY CLEANING, SINCE IF I DONT DO IT THEY DO NOT MAKE THE EXTRACTIONS, IT IS INDIGNANT THAT SOME INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN THE MONEY AND NOT THE HEALTH OF THE PEOPLE.
