I had the opportunity to go on inaugural cruise of the NCL encore, their newest ship which goes on it’s Initial sailing this weekend. It is magnificent ship. I am going to post pictures of different parts of the ship so you can be familiar with it and decide for yourself if it is the right ship for you and your family. I think the ship has for something for everyone. I love the go carts. It’s something very unique, especially on a cruise ship. You go pretty fast. It was lots of fun. Makes you feel like a kid again!
NCL BLISS NOT GOOD;We just finished our trip from NYC to FL to Bahamas with NCL Bliss, 7 days Nov to Dec 2019. Very good services by Miki, 2 floor Aft stateroom services. Outstanding services by Babusi Alvin, Waiter, Zimbabwe. Very good shows and most need reservations or be on the super long stand bye lines. NCL Bliss has terrible services at private island Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas. The tender/transportation services were horrific and not civilized. The services at the private island was 100 passengers per line for 2 NCL staff. The food services were not available in many of their food/offered locations. We only were able to get hamburgers and hot dogs at best at this NCL private island. I will not cruise again with NCL Bliss and will not use NCL tender/transportation ever again, will avoid these trips. The fitness center is less than user friendly and not inviting. They do not have space for warming up, stretching and they only have 1 stationary sit down bike that it is use 100% of the time. All machines and work out equipment are seriously and dangerously cramped together. They have a spinning room locked and fully loaded ONLY for private classes, wasting 50% of the fitness center and only used about 2 hours per day. The staff at the fitness center is simply not friendly and less than inviting, the staff was actually annoyed when asked questions. NCL does not honor their 100% price guaranteed as advertised. I found my reservation $200 cheaper per passenger and requested their advertised guarantee price adjustment but did not even received a response. As expected, this NCL ship is simply too big and it seriously lack customer services. The elevators problems are beyond description. It was horrible and mostly impossible for people in need to use these elevators. The restaurants lack sufficient staff to address the passengers demand. Reservations are impossible before and during our cruise. NCL simply offer the same menu again and again at their lower restaurants. Beware of the common Up charges for food and drinks even after pre-paying for the food/beverage packages. The lines to board and depart the ship are not efficient at best. NCL is full of passengers and clearly does not care about negative reviews. The customer service line is violent at over 30 passengers waiting for services and only 2 to 3 NCL staff available, in clear view of everybody. But this will also be a problem for NCL in time. We have over 10 years experience cruising. This kind of ship is simply too big for NCL services. We will recommend other ships, the NCL Escape is much better. Have fun and safe travels!
I booked and paid in full for a cruise before Covid 19. I have requested a refund of my money and this cruise line will only allow me a credit. NCL refuses to refund me my money
Had the chance to go on a cruise on the newest NCL boat, the encore. The food was amazing, the staff were always friendly and amazing service. The ship looked absolutely magnificent, I couldnt believe it. They had go karts and laser tag on the ship which is unique, and wonderful. The only down was the pool deck was so small there was never any chance to sit anywhere and the pool was also super small, but overall I had a fantastic time. The shows were awesome and the music was better.
The port has little to no signage & for years its been a mess. So far there has been no effort at all to make it better so weve cut way back on our cruises & opt to travel to other ports 8nstead.
Ship : Encore. Customer service is none existent.Food is fair.Dining room, slowest and not personal.I left my laptop in our cabin. Tried to get throughWith plenty of time to get it from our cabin to me. No help. Only people at customer service are people to sell you a cruise and take your money.This is an easy fix.Go to the stateroom retrieve the the laptop. Take to terminal. Call the owners, since they know who left it in the cabin.Give them piece of mind. Tell them you will overnight it.That’s customer service.They have you e mail them for lost and found. They will get back to me in 4-6 weeks!My whole business is on that laptop.They do NOT CARE!Avoid this cruise line. AT ALL COSTS!This is our first cruise on Norwegian. And our last, our whole family went on that cruise, $30,000 dollars spent.19 cruises on Holland America, always 6 star service.
Ive cruised with Norwegian several times. This is the first time on the Getaway and the bed was too firm. Normally the beds are very comfortable. Made for a long 7 days. Great entertainment. Food was good. Ate at buffet 6 out of 7 days due to not liking the variety in dining rooms.
Loved our cruise with Norwegian! We sailed on the Getaway as part of a friends wedding party, it was our first cruise and we are hooked! Cant wait for the next one and to try a different ship, theres so many options!
Friendly, helpful but you have to know the right questions to ask. Free friends and family means you dont pay their ticket BUT you have to get a bigger room so not exactly free, reduce by a couple hundred but not free.
Had an awful experience on this cruise. Aside from the beauty of the island there was nothing pleasant about it. Outdated rooms, unpleasant workers, every worker was foreign BEFORE even reaching our destination, etc. It was like the Spirit airlines of cruises I would definitely spend the extra on another more professional cruise line.
Absolutely love Norwegian cruises lines,especially NCL EPIC and GETAWAY.Food is brilliant and ships are always clean and tidy from my experience!
This is one of the most chaotic cruise ports we’ve ever been to. Trying to navigate out of here is like a maze that constantly changes. The signs are almost completely unhelpful. And if you follow the map too closely you’ll be doing circles around your ship.Safe travels!
Easy in and out. On our way in I took the wrong turn and as I approached a police he turned on his lights and motioned to follow him. Took us right to the ship. Thanks!!
Amazing service. They go out of their way to make sure kids have a good time and everything they need. Highly recommend.
The porter didnt get tipped enough so he placed different tags on my luggage. I got them, but extremely late. Other than that the dock is fine.
As stated parking is easily just follow the signs. Short walk back to cruise terminal. Just remember to keep parking lot ticket stub with you so you can pay when leaving. Weve only cruise this lime but hear other passengers complain about other limes
We love cruising with NCL. we always have great service and our room stewards have always gone above and beyond.

Loved it so much . Everything was pretty much perfect, except the one only pool on the getaway. That didnt make me happy one bit .it was always over croweded . Everything else was great, had such a blast.

This was my first cruise it was amazing. Alot to do on the ship. Plenty of different places to eat at. Shows, waterslides,mini golf and more.

We got thru customs quickly because they have someone guiding you thru the process which helped alot.
We arrived to the terminal, watched the guy put our four bags on the cart and take it over to be put on the boat,however, two of our bags never made it. We were left without all of the important things we needed and the customer service was horrendous to say the least! They handed me a toothbrush and said “we so sorry.” Everyday of vacation has been a nightmare with them. Now, we watched them take it over to be put on the boat but they claim that it’s not on the boat or the terminal. Either Norwegian or the port is stealing bags. How does two show up (when they were altogether) but not just one but TWO don’t make it?! I really ruined my vacation that we paid a lot of money on. I will never give them another dime! If you take Norwegian you do at your own risk of not receiving your luggage.
The shuttle service is chaos better off talking a cab
My first cruise with my family and Mom. From the minute we arrived it was chaos..The men taking our luggage were wham bam thank you mam. I did get a welcome once in the terminal. After finding out we were sent to the wrong side. We paid top dollar and my Mother and I were just aboit under the stage.. Loud noises at night.. When I went to inquire about a different location. Iwas told I was unable for a upgrade. Ha.. Sound system in th mIn atrium was awful. Listening to deal or no deal..Food was ok..Service very good.. However I will try a different cruise line.
We love NCL cruise line. Just got back from a 15 day transatlantic cruise.
Restaurant foods were delicious, however theres a lack of activities and entertainment.
Norwegian Cruise Lines is an incredible cruise ship company and when you leave the Port of Miami keep an eye out out for dolphins and the hundred and hundred fifty foot yachts. SUPER STAFF.
