I used to have good experiences here, but it feels like the place is run by someone else now. I was 15 minutes late for my appointment due to work, and they gave my appointment to someone else and refused to even reschedule, let alone refund. Apparently the best they could do was %10 off my next haircut. Thats just double charging with some icing.

Knocked on the door... two employees looked right at me and simply ignored me. I called the phone number and it appears you have to have an appointment to get in. As such, I never had a chance to see if their service is good or not. I found another place close by. BTW...i received voicemail...no live person.

Like much of Miami services an appointment time means nothing. 9 am haircut with Alex Scheduled and he is a no show. How convenient that you are forced to prepay. After waiting 30 minutes a nice man named Peter came in to the shop to work and was able to fit me in.

CAME IN TO GET A LAST MINUTE CUT AND CAME OUT VERY HAPPY. EUGENE is highly recomended . Will be coming back to him.

I’ve had a horrible experience at the Spot barbershop in east Brickell. It has to do more with the barber I had than the actual barbershop. I’ve booked Juan Manuel, the barber, two times already. And the second time was worse than the first. The first time he said he couldn’t cut my Jaír because I booked the wrong appointment. I paid $68 for that appointment and he said he couldn’t cut my hair. We’ll, after much arguing, he finally cut my hair. The second time, he double booked my time slot. So I showed up to my appointment and somebody was already on the chair. I had reserved this time slot for $68. It was a very uncomfortable situation. He made the guy on his chair stand up after he had already started his haircut. WorSt service I’ve experienced in miami. After he did my cut, very badly. My hair came out patchy and uneven. I looked better before the haircut. I don’t know why Juan Manuel is at that barbershop. His service is horrible. If the Spot continues to employ him, don’t go there I have first hand experience

I must say, they are good at what they do. The barbers aren’t boring, not rude, and always do a good job. They must be cheaper than any other barbershops in the city, but their level of service and quality of their job is as close as it can be. I highly recommended this barbershop.

Loved the place... Theyve created a great cozy atmosphere with urban design and ambient music but most importantly with the people working there. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Even between the crew working there was a cool vibe. There is free Wi-Fi and a complimentary drink that you can have at the bar while waiting. I had an appointment with one of the owners, Alex. He was a nice guy but was obviously rushing and not listening to me.He did OK on the hair but absolutely butchered my beard. One of the worst beard trims I have ever had.

OMG...this is the real man cave for real...and the service is awesome which is an under statement compared to the decor and professionalism as well as the laid back and relaxing atmosphere complete with the oldies but goodies music from back in the day my pictures doesnt do the spot justice so you gotta come in and see for yourself and you wont be disappointed.

I think they should review their policies again but beside that theyre really good.

Gas haircuts. Im from NYC, I usually only go to one place, but I needed a cut while I was in Miami. Fernando at The Spot nailed my high fade and lined me up well. A little on the pricier side of things but the whole experience was worthwhile.

Updated review, I’ve been going to the spot since August 2018. I’ve had great cuts from Josh and Drew... both are professional and cut awesome! Gina also hooks me up with eyebrow, nose, and ear waxing to clean up. I highly recommend this place and so doesn’t Brickell. It’s a popular spot so remember to book your appt in advance and show up in time!

Wish I knew how to post photos. I took a bunch. I don’t understand how they let me walk out so uneven! My sister bought me this for my birthday and told me it would be an experience. It’s a few days later and I’m looking at how my neck and mustache aren’t even. They took over an hour on it. I am very disappointed.

What an incredible barbershop! The decor in this place was amazing, as were the barbers. I came in here for a beard trim and my barber, Alyssa, did an incredible job - way better than my barber back home. There was a cool bar in the center of the space where a cheerful employee happily offers to serve you water, coffee or maybe even a drink (its 5 oclock somewhere said my barber).I was really, really impressed by this barbershop. The beard trim was excellent, my barber was operated quickly but was not rushed and the decor of the space is nothing like barbershops back in (upstate) NY.

Get a haircut here if you want a buzz cut or get your head shaved. If you want to have anything complex or modern dont come here, they wouldnt understand what the hell are you talking about. I am really disappointing with the skill of the people working here. They were nice tho, but not really good at all.

Awesome barbers and great atmosphere. Came here for the first time after moving to the area and called around a couple shops to get a last minute cut before a flight and they really delivered. Courteous and professional in addition to the shop being very clean and friendly. Prices are also very competitive for the area. Alexis did an amazing job and is now my go-to barber. Will definitely be back time and time again.

It was an ok experience. I got in and out in about 10 minutes. I earn above national average and all in paying extra for extraordinary service but I feel like I overpaid.

Went in for the first time yesterday and got a cut from Fern. He was very attentive and asked lots of questions as he was going through, great attention to detail which is what you want from your barber. The only knock I would say is that no one greeted me upon arrival. Wasn’t sure of the protocol but after about 10 mins of sitting at the bar I went up to someone and asked about my appointment. Aside from that it was a good experience and I’d go back again because the cut was spot on!

I have been having my hair cut at The Spot for some years now when they had a location at 8th St.Alexis is the one that has been taking care of me since then it is always a pleasure to come by. I am always warmly greeted by someone and even though I usually refuse the drinks I actually had a cafecito the other day and it was good.Place is very well lit, clean and I love the mix with the music.Walk ins are welcome, but I suggest you try to set up an appointment just to have your SPOT (pun intended) guaranteed.Look forward to keep having my hair cut here by Alexis for years to come, keep up the great job! I came in without an appointment soaking wet from running in the rain, and they took me immediately and treated me right. Not to say all walk-ins get seen right away, but it was great treatment. Super duper amazing, Mario is probably the best Barber Ive gone to ever. Really love that he can hook me up with the haircuts required for the military and add my own personal style to it. Plus the conversations about anime are lit.

I first explained him about the desirable hairstyle with pictures but he saw them just for 5 seconds and cut it in his own way. Its terrible. I have to work with this ugly hairstyle for the next one month.

If you find the Right Barber its pretty damn good and extremely convenient in Brickell. They are extremely expensive for Brickell and for the services they provide but where else youre going to go with the convenience.Stores always clean and they do always offer you a drink or coffee. I just cant say that a haircut and a shave demand $50 plus tip.

The place has a good atmosphere but the most important part is the haircut and they failed horribly. I cant recommend this barbershop to anyone. Jeffrey has good recommendations on here that I assume are all from his friends because the result was horrible. I specifically asked to keep my hair long, I only wanted a trim. Instead, he turns me away from the mirror so I can’t see what he is doing until I see giant clumps of my hair falling. I said multiple times to for only a little off, and now my hair is about only 1 quarter the size it was before. He cut so much off. Not to mention that it’s all uneven. I had to go to another barber the same day just to fix everything wrong with my hair.Additionally, he had his friend there (that doesn’t even work there) right next to us talking to him the entire time about random things. This completely distracted him from what I was saying. That is incredibly unprofessional. Everything I said was followed by a “huh?” Or a “what?” Because he was paying no attention to me, the customer on the chair. I honestly can’t believe I had to pay $30 for this awful experience.

This place has a great vibe but it’s hit or miss with the barbers. You might have to go more than once to find the one that gives you a great haircut.

Worst haircut experience of my life. Booked an appointment with Andrew, BIG mistake! He seemed frustrated and annoyed that the appointment was with him as he wanted to go home early. He kept complaining that he was ill and tired which is certainly not something a customer wants to hear! I specifically told him do not cut the widows peak and then he went and shaved it off anyway. Completely messed up my hair. Furthermore he blasted the air pressure gun right into my ear which resulted in pain and temporary deafness. I left the shop with bleeding and irritated skin from a rushed beard line up. I will not be returning.Only good thing was the friendly and accommodating manager who greeted me upon arrival. Drew, on the other hand, was neither friendly nor accommodating.

Really great place. Looks very clean and all new. And Laura always do a wonderful job cutting my hair and beard ! Moreover they welcome and accomodate my two big dogs in the shop while I am getting my haircut done...

Wish I could give 3.5 stars — 5 stars for the barber shop, unfortunately 2 stars for my haircut.Beautiful space, very inviting, love the library. Very nice how there’s everything from soda, to cafecitos, to liquor flowing freely. Very inviting staff. Great manly but unassuming vibe - perfect balance of being well done but not taking itself too seriously.Only issue I had was the barber I had, while he was very nice, didn’t cut my hair the way I had asked him to - even after a pretty long and detailed description how I’m trying to grow out my hair, and just need the edges tidied up so it can keep growing longer, he took away nearly all the length I had been growing on the back and sides. It doesn’t look terrible, but it’s just frustrating after frowning my hair out for months to be back at square one.

My company and I came all the way from Washington DC to Miami for a business expo. They treated me very well and I was very pleased with the service they provided. They made us feel welcomed and took good care of us. Looking forward to seeing them next time I am in town.

Ive been going to the Spot for over 2 years now. If you want a 15 minute haircut for $10 go to Hair Cuttery. If you want a master barber with a straight razor, go to The Spot. Ask for Prince, the guy is meticulous and a perfectionist. Perfect fade every time. Glad there are still barbers like Prince and places like the spot where a man can get a real cut by people who are passionate about their craft.

Horrible place. I called over the phone and spoke with a woman and I asked if theyd take walk ins. She said yes and wait was about one hour. And as long as I arrived before 720pm they would take care of me with a wait. I moved my things to be able to make it and I even took an uber from far..got to the place at 640pm and they said we are full come back tomorrow. Really? Why did you make me come in the first place. Nice location, nice place but service is a mess like any high end barbershop. Better to go to a hood barbershop and you get treated with respect. On top, I get one of the barbers tell me if I wait I have to wait around 830pm and I said fine, Im already here. But no, barbers need to go home at 8. Its disrespectful to have one waste time. My time is valuable. Wont recommend anyone coming here. Just go to a supercuts and get drinks at a bar. This place doesnt deserve to be near brickell.And please dont contact me. I wont come back for a free haircut

When booking online, the app takes your credit card payment immediately. Without being contacted about whether it was ok for me, I was rescheduled to a time slot 30 minutes later - I just received an email telling me I was rescheduled.I arrived at the shop precisely 4 minutes later than my booked appointment time. The barber I was booked with told me in a very rude way that she had started on a walk-in because I wasnt on time. The customer she was serving was already sat down and was wearing a robe. So I guess they waited for less than a minute before taking the other customer.While I understand the importance of being on time, this was ridiculous, especially considering that I had prepaid online.I cannot recommend this establishment.
