The worst internet and cable provider I have ever had! My apt. Complex has a contract and I dont have a choice. If you have a choice, anything is better than this. Constant buffering, having to restart on a daily basis. Ethernet no better than Wi-Fi. Highest priced service makes no difference. Expensive router, no difference. I am super frustrated!
Worst company. Have never had such poor internet service that I pay $64 per month for. Cannot stream without constant buffering. And the worst thing is that I have no choice. Only option available so forces a move! So long Terra Bella!
Actually really good service and internet service
Abysmal. The absolute worst ISP I have ever used. Much like others, this is the only service my apartment complex can provide. This should be illegal. They dont work weekends, just one old lady answering phones whos absolutely clueless and by the book BS. This is a crime, or it fn should be.
Literally the worst waste of $50 I pay every month. Terrible service in Birmingham.
Worst internet service ive ever had. Connection rarely stays reliable for more than a few minutes, and disconnects non-stop.
Company and service is STRAIGHT TRASH 🗑️
Complete lack of reliability. Very very poor provider. Not happy at all
Terrible!! Please dont sign a contract with these people. Very poor customer service.
Adam the tech guy was great! He was very personable and knowledgeable. He stayed until everything was set up and working. Thanks Adam!
Any company would be better. If you can find a way out of your apartment contract with TotalComUSA, do it. If you can find a way to boycott your apartments contract by picketing or rioting, do it. If you can PLEASE then get a qualified service rep to come to MY APARTMENTS, and not someone who says This is way out of my league and Im just the cable guy, THAT WOULD BE GREAT @FOLKS AT CUSTOMER SERVICE.I work from home and do full time online classes. I have to live in an apartment that I would otherwise love, but TotalComUsa makes my life a living hellscape. Save yourselves.
If there was a zero star option I would prefer that. Slow connections, very unreliable, and they do not know their own service technicians schedules! I am without service with no restoration date in site awaiting a mythical technician to call me back and see if he has availablity for me; not the other way around. Had I known they where such a poor service provider I would not have moved to this property since they are the only option for cable, net, or phone that they allow here
The absolute worst internet I have ever had. If you rent anywhere, make sure you ask what are your options for internet services. Legacy Oaks in Mobile, Al ONLY OFFERS Totalcom. The company has been to our unit 10-15 times since we lived there for 7 months and never was fixed. They deserve “0” instead of one star. Therefore, I would never live for temporary time at Legacy Oaks of Springhill again.
If I could rate this provider less than a one, I definitely would. Ive had more issues with this company than I can count. The internet signal always fails and is slow, cable channels are missing or have no sound, the TotalComUSA site is supposed to be a form of convenience to consumers but even it fails to work properly! This company is overall slow in development and needs lots of work including with customer service.
Internet is very fast and reliable the tech always comes within a reasonable amount of time (about 24 to 48) hours in most cases. When I had AT&T it took at least 3 days it ended up being 4 (our entire street was down from a cut line) for a tech to show up after they put me through the ringer with troubleshooting the fastest speed they offered in my area maxed out at 17mbps factor in the loss over wifi your down to 6mbps at the back room of my house. I get close to 100mbps over my Netgear wifi router with totalcom. Thanks guys keep up the hard work!
They only get 1 star because its the least I can give. Every week there is another problem. Seriously, Im hate Dish, and there is nothing I can do because I live in an apartment. Last night I couldnt even watch ESPN, nor NBC.
The internet speed is really fast 100mbps . They rushed to get my order complete and had a technician come set everything up. The technician gave me his number to help me find a router and helped me install everything.
Their internet service and dish service is horrible. They have outdated equipment and I have had numerous times now where my dvr didn’t record a scheduled show.
The single worst provider of any service I have ever experienced. Customer service is nonexistent. I actually discourage people from living in my apartment complex so they are not stuck dealing with this company.
Extremely poor service in general . This company should not even be allowed to be a business.. TotalGarbage!!!!! They deserve a -10 review score.
Worst customer service. Took days to get a tech to take care of connection issues. Constantly having issues with speed. I was paying for 50 mbps and rarely got over 10 mbps for upload/download. I’m a student so having consistent internet issues is a problem! Try to avoid using their services if possible!
What a horrible crime for developments to force people to use this unhelpful, overpriced, unprofessional, slovenly company. Terrible, terrible, terrible. All around rating -10. Wish there were a zero star.
I never thought I could say this but TotalCom USA is worse than comcast. Never again will I move into an apartment complex with a totalcom contract. Random channels disappear or display the same show as another channel. Technicians are idiots. I had a reoccurring issue with cable for over a month and no refund on my bill. How do they get away with charging full price for faulty and incomplete service products?
Service is terrible!! You can never speak to anyone. Just someone who answers the phone takes a message.
Terrible! Terrible! Signal always goes out, the so called high speed internet is a joke. If you have an issue they will only send a technician on Tuesdays or Thursdays so you are screwed if you have an outage over the weekend (which has happened quite often). I live in an apartment complex (Beau Terre in Alexandria, LA) and have no other option as they will not allow you to CHOOSE the service you would like. If you are considering moving to Beau Terre, and want to pay high price for terrible service, signals, and slow and draggy internet, dont say you were not warned!
Company is complete trash, internet is a joke, and customer service....mine as well talk to a brick wall.
I moved into an apartment complex in Birmingham, Alabama, that only allows TotalComUSA cable and internet service. I have been disgusted with the service since day one. Where to I begin..The service they provide is DISH Network. The cost of the service through TotalCom is more than what DISH Network charges directly, and more than all other cable providers in the local area. The cable channels are limited and the service quality is poor. Consistently, I lose the signal. There are channels that are more problematic than others. My microwave also interferes with the signal. Also, if you dont want HBO, it comes with the cable service and all cable customers are required to pay a cable access fee, which I was advised was required for the HBO access (that you cant drop from the package). TotalComUSA only offers two bundles, neither of which meets my needs. They also dont offer wireless internet service; they only provide an ethernet cable.I was an AT&T U-Verse customer before moving to this apartment complex. The DISH Network service they provide is not comparable to AT&T in quality or price. The DISH Network DVR equipment is bulky and takes up a considerable amount of space. Also, when my cable was installed, I was not provided a channel lineup for the cable service (only basic service), nor instructions on how to connect the DISH Network remotes to my television (I had to look it up online myself).Additionally, when Ive submitted an online request for a technician to come and fix my service, the technician called me that night and advised that he would come out the next day. The following day, the person who processed my cable order called me to let me know they received my request. I had to advise her that I had spoken to a technician the night before. Their internal communications could be significantly better.I would not recommend this companys service. I dont know why this apartment complex has a contract with them, but I recently wrote their corporate office a letter asking that the contract not be renewed. As I mentioned before, Ive had AT&T U-Verse in the past as well as XFinity, and DirecTV. TotalComUSA is, by far, the worse of these cable providers in my opinion.
This company is the worst My apartment only allow services from them. My lease is up in January I will be moving just because this company is my only option for cable/internet services. The people act as if you are bothering them and they are rude and uncaring. Of course everything goes out on weekendwhen they are closed
This company is a joke
