Called to Schedule a repair of my pool and was greeted on the phone with an abrasive Im busy what do you want. I stated I was interested in a pool repair but if he was too busy for my business I understood to which he replied Yes im too busy and hung up. Ive never been treated that way by a business before.

We bought our home approximately a year ago and got to spend one summer in our pool. We quickly realized that there was quite a bit of work that needed to be done. The existing pebble tec was slowly chipping away and the water feature/grotto was deteriorating. Once we decided that this was going to be our first big home improvement project, I spent hours upon hours of researching several different companies in the valley. Budget and Tony had the best reviews by far and after 10 different quotes his quote was by far the most affordable. He gave us a 2 week timeline to completion and finished before the end date he originally gave us. His crew was respectful and worked late hours when needed.We are obsessed with the finished product and are impatiently waiting to be able to use it! Unfortunately we couldnt afford to complete the entire deck with travertine this year, but we will be calling Tony next spring when we are ready to complete.

I think that this business has been bought out or is being ran by someone other than Tony. I received a quote from Tony himself about 2 years ago when considering purchasing a friends home. I recently purchased the home had them back out for a quote and it was 16,000 MORE for the same work. When I enquired about Tony they were very vague. I wasnt comfortable with them. Like I was when I received the quote from Tony. I am now seeing bad reviews that he never had as well. Now back on the hunt for a great pool company with reasonable....rather, expectable prices.

They must have more business than they can handle. They came out, put together a bid for me to resurface my pool deck, and then two days later told me via text that they werent interested in my project. Why bother giving me a bid if you didnt want to handle the project? Very disappointing, I was looking forward to working with them after reading such good reviews.

We spent a LOT of time researching to find the best pool repair contractor. We researched on Better Business Bureau, Google and Yelp. We even checked with Home Advisor (and the companies they referred us to were wrought with bad reviews on BBB or not even accredited at all). After researching and collecting estimates, we were most impressed with Budget Pool Repair and Replaster. Excellent reviews across the board in all 3 locations—and no complaints that had not been resolved—AND their price was SUBSTANTIALLY lower! First, the estimate guy-Rex—was most accommodating by coming on a Saturday morning to review our needs and we received his estimate promptly a couple of days later. After collecting several estimates, Budget was by far the best price, so we had the owner, Tony, come out to revise and fine tune our estimate according to our needs. What an awesome guy! How refreshing to be able to work with a contractor who is so organized, professional and downright a great guy! He knows his products and service well. We picked out our colors for tile, mini pebble and cool deck and installation of a hand rail. Work began the following week when Tony came by to drain the pool. Then chip out crew came next, followed by cool deck crew and tile crew; then resurface of the cool deck and pool interior; followed by cool deck paint, pool start up and hand rail install. It’s all finished now and looks absolutely gorgeous. It was fun, scary, interesting, and informative to watch the process. Tony even added some decorative tile work on the stairs, tanning shelf and bench. Every crew that came to our house was very professional and very respectful of our home and property. Every crew cleaned up after themselves and left things as tidy as they could. As a responsible and reasonable homeowner, please understand that when you engage in a home project like this that it is, by nature, a messy project—no way to get around that—and they can only clean up as much as they can. So, yes, as a homeowner, you can reasonably expect to take care of some minimal cleanup yourself (there may be some dust buildup in other parts of your yard from the chip out and grinding that happens depending how windy it was that day; you may have to rake back a minimal amount of landscaping rocks that were moved to avoid overspray on the rocks themselves, and if you are like us, your landscaper will take care of 90% of it). Tony came by personally to do a quality control check and verify that everything was working and back up again. The only negative thing for us is that it’s beginning of February and although the dog was quick to jump in already, we have to wait another 2 to 3 months to use it! LOL It’s been a privilege and pleasure to work with Tony and Budget Pool is the best company/contractor we could ever have hoped to work with on this project. We HIGHLY recommend them to anyone and everyone! We will definitely use them for any other needs we have and when it’s eventually time to do this again (because it has to be done every 15-20 years), we pray that Budget is still around to do the work! We just could not be any happier with the quality of the work, professionalism of the teams involved, the price and Tony! Stop researching and reading all the other reviews and just call Budget—you won’t be disappointed.

For a Budget Pool service you could do worse. The 10 year guarantee was used as I noticed while in the pool during the summer some flaws in the pebble tech. It took several months from the time of the complaint (August) for a representative to finally call back in October. According to the rep. named Rex, he said it is better to contact him, not the owner if you want to resolve any issues. Feeling confident that they would fix the problems we scheduled the repairs for a cooler month, November. After some back and forth, the issues were fixed. I will spare you the details.I will say the pool was empty for way to many days without water 3 to 5 days. That was frustrating that although the weather was in the 80s at the time I believe the integrity was possibly affected. I was informed again that the 10 year guarantee would apply if there were any issues. Something to ponder, what if based on the pool being empty for an extended period of time as it was -that instead of issues starting after 15 years(long time) but instead issues start after 11 years, a year past the guarantee. That was frustrating and only time will tell.I give four stars because I like the way the pool looks and they did ultimately fix the issues but communication and reliability need to improve. Hopefully, they learn from this.

We’re to begin, from day one it was not good, they didn’t show up when they said they would, never called us or apologized, all they said after we contacted them was that we are not to expect a crew here everyday. Half of the titles were a different batch, wrong color. They didn’t believe us when we sent pictures, until a day or two days went by, Rex finally came by and agreed that half of the titles had to be replaced, pool was already filling. They replaced the titles but left a mess in the pool and didn’t offer to clean it up. Our rocks around our pool deck were left stained from the pool plaster/blue color, debris and trash was left behind. A few weeks later our pool deck started showing signs of discoloration, we contacted Rex and didn’t respond any time soon. Finally when he responded he said he would drop off paint so we can touch it up, weeks have passed and still no paint. There were so many other issues but don’t want to make this too long. Budget Pools caused us so much frustration and stress, we regret hiring them!!!! Very, very dissatisfied customer.

What a refreshing change of pace! We actually hired Tony and his amazing crew to give our 24 year old pool a well needed lift. They were prompt, professional, thorough and wonderful to work with. I would whole heartedly encourage anyone with a pool need to give Budget a call. I know they did a great job on our pool and will give us any attention in the future if we may need it. Made multiple contacts to requested number and mode of contact in early March. When a contact was finally made back days later the individual claimed they could bid our project in two weeks for June start. Supposedly a professional company that cant respond or take on work that is ready to do. Having a current need wait three months until they are ready....yeah right.A one day coat one day acid wash......and wait three months. Thats small time not pro level.

Wow was I surprised and PLEASED ! I I just moved into a 30 year old home with a old white plaster pool. The G kids and I used the pool last summer and knew that it was in needed of a re-plaster. Hunks of old plaster were falling off sides and the bottom plaster was worn down to cement. I found Tony and Budget pool by searching Google, Yelp and home advisor. I interviewed and received 4 ESTAMENTS from contractors. All were about same price give or take 1k. I know a thousand is a lot of money but I wanted a quality job done in a timely manor. Tony was a bit of a gamble, even though he had received great reviews from all the sites. Budget Pool seemed to be the only one that did re plaster as their main business. Others did this work as part of a pool service. I meet with tony and picked color of tile and pebble color. Tony had lots of great ideas and suggestions. Pool would take two weeks to complete and be done before Thanksgiving 2018. Demo crew came and had work done in 1/2 day. They took all ruble away and picked up yard. Tony crew installed a Baja deck and steps raised the deep end from 10 feet to 7 feet, installed hand rail for steps, re cemented pool, installed tile and installed all new water jets, drains and water fill line that was broken. Crew came and applied pebble finish then acid wash and started to fill pool. Each crew cleaned up after themselves all were very nice and worked quickly. Since I am retired engineer i was able to watch complete process. Tony came every day to check with crews and speak with me. I highly recommend Budget Pools and have recommended them to friends.

I used Budget for a resurface, new pump, and new cool deck. Rex was always available when I had questions or concerns about the process and often checked in to make sure the work was going well. The owner, Tony was also friendly and helped get the pump programmed and startup chemicals in the water. Work was performed quickly and without any issues. Workers were friendly and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. The process was incredibly smooth. Price was very competitive. I wouldnt hesitate to use them if youre in the market for some pool work.

These guys must have a lot of work because they sure didn’t seem to mind losing our business over their incompetence. We told Rex over the phone during a conversation what we wanted then blamed us for not texting him so that he would have it in writing. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with Rex, he got defensive and began to argue with me. Rex is unprofessional and had horrible customer service. They were supposed to have guys show up this morning to begin the work. They told us this morning that they were behind on other work and were going to start on our pool in a few days. He tried to up sell us. Just horrible customer service

Pool Looks Great..On time on Task..

We needed to remodel our pool. We asked for a couple of quotes. Rex is the guy that we had to deal with. He isnt very professional. We asked Rex for two quotes, one where my husband did the piping work and one where they do the piping work. Rex blamed us for his misunderstanding of what we wanted. Their workers showed up today and wanted to replace our filter, it was the pump that we wanted replaced. These guys dont seem to care much about the customer. They were scheduled to start work today and I had to be the one reaching out to find out what time they were coming. Their work crew fell behind due to the rain but I found out because I was the one reaching out about their schedule. We will take our +$12k and do business somewhere else. Rex is not the right guys for this job.

Tony is by far the best contractor we have ever used. He has exceeded our expectations with the pool resurfaced in a week. He was responsive, communicative, and efficient. The pool is beautiful, and he really did quality work. We did the blue surf mini pebble, and I will post pics when I paint my kool deck gray.

Tony and his crew remodeled my swimming pool and cool decking. Started late February and took 3 weeks due to rainy days! We had old plaster and refinished in pebble tech. They also patched cool deck cracks and refinished. Price was great, best I found and quality work. Would recommend to anyone who needs there pool remodeled! Thanks Tony!

We had an excellent experience with Tony and Budget Pools! I received six estimates to re-do our pool, and Tony’s was the best value by far. Tony has a hardworking and professional team. The workers were dependable and courteous. They completed our pool ahead of schedule, with extremely short notice on our end. Tony was very responsive throughout the remodel; we never had to wait more than 24 hours for a response and all of our concerns were addressed and perfected timely. Tony also provided excellent recommendations for additional projects that we were tackling. Due to Budget Pool’s proposal being significantly lower than competitors, I was nervous that I would “get what I paid for” regarding service and quality—this is far from the truth! I believe we received better customer service from Tony than any of the bigger companies could have provided. I highly recommend Budget Pools!

In Sept. 2018 we had Budget Pools resurface our pool with a nice pebble tech surface. It had been about 20 years since we had a pool, so were a little out of touch. Tony walked us through the process and in essence, baby sat us through it. When done, the pool looked great. Well, this month (Oct. 2019), some of the grout around the top of the tiles began to break out. I called Tony & left a message asking what type of product I should use to repair it. I expected to do it myself, as it had been over a year since it had been resurfaced. To my surprise, Rex from Budget called back saying they would be out to repair it in the next few days, and sure enough, they were. Under a warranty I didnt realize we had. Made my whole week. I could not be happier with the entire process, and highly recommend them.

I was actually slightly nervous to use Budget Pools because their price was so much lower than other quotes I received and I wondered if any quality would be sacrificed. Totally not! My pool looks great! The guys did leave some trash lying around but just water bottles and such. Owner did inspection at the end and made sure we were all back up and swim ready. The deck turned out great too. My kids thank you the most!!

Budget Pool Repair and Replaster did a fantastic job on our pool. Not only was their quote reasonable, they also completed the work quickly, and there were no unexpected costs or surprises. The entire project, which consisted of chipping out an old cracked pebble surface, putting on a new pebble service, installing all new equipment, adding a new suction line, and adding a water leveler took only three work days to complete over the course of seven total days. The work was high quality, came with a solid warranty, and Tony has been willing to help me out with any questions I have had since it was completed. I give Budget Pools my highest recommendation.

My pump lost pressure and I called several other pool repair companies. Many couldnt come for a week or longer. I called and Tony and he scheduled me in the next day. Tony seems like a nice guy on the phone but he is very inconsistent. He had scheduled to do a job for me and at the last moment told me he had to go out of town for a couple of months. I said no problem...then I decided to try him again 2 months later on my new home and he scheduled me an appointment. On the day of he text me and said he could come out he was too busy. Who does this? I believe he gets the address and comes out to see the pool on his own and decides then. Dont waste you time with this one, he is in unreliable.

Tony gave me so much value for my dollar! A national pool company gave me $10,500 estimate for new pebbletec, waterline tile and deck reseal. For just a few dollars more, Tony gave me all that, plus a pentair variable speed pump, 19 new pop ups cleaning heads, a pop up controller, and changed the sand in my filter. Budget pool, and Tony will be talking care of any future repair or upgrades for me

We needed to have our pool resurfaced, it was the original plaster from 1998. Plaster was popping and areas of the pool in the deep end(diving pool) were green after the previous owner had drained the pool and let it sit too long without proper treatment. We found an add from Tony with Sparkle Pools. I told my husband that after talking with Tony that his company was the one, it just felt right! We are so glad that we chose his company! We decided to go with a pebbletec finish instead of a replaster and it looks amazing! Start to finish, less than two weeks and a 2 day rain delay too, the pool is gorgeous! To top it off Tony helped with our cool deck surface and helped us obtain the handrail that we had been looking for. I just gave him another referral for one of our friends! Best pool company ever, I would recommend them!

We had an amazing experience with Tony from start to finish. Its a daunting task to have your backyard torn up and we put it off much too long. Had many different pool companies here to give estimates and none felt right. Tony had done a neighbors pool which is how we found him. Would highly recommend Budget Pools to anyone. It was 2 weeks start to finish which is almost unheard of...you hear so many horror stories of jobs that just go on and on. He listened to our needs and we decided to have his company lay travertine pavers over our existing deck which combined cool deck and brick. It is stunning. We did a mini pebble finish in aqua cool, new tile, and a gorgeous water feature replacing our diving board. My sister and her husband also had their pool done at the same time and are equally pleased. Oh!!!And we replaced our pool light with a Pentair color changing light...worth every penny. It is so gorgeous! Thank you Tony for your expertise!!!!

We needed are pool replastered We called Tony from Budget Pool Repair and Replaster they are the best, on time, great price, the work and the workers are first class. They chipped out the pool did a great job and cleaned up everything you would not even know they had worked there. Then his prices are so good we were able to go with the small pebble tech surface again his crew came in installed the pebble tech surface great job taped and plasticted off the cool deck and the tile cleaned up everything when they were done. Then they came back the next day cleaned the tile and surface installed the bottom grates and the pool light and done, great great job. I had just purchased a home with a beautiful pool and spa. That beautiful blue water didnt last long as the late summer monsoons turned the pool green without the regular maintenance (the home was vacant during renovation for several months). I poured over $500 dollars worth of chemicals to restore the pool, but each time, it would turn green once again.This is when I researched several pool companies with great online reviews and had them all come out to give me their professional opinion. The consensus seemed to be that the chipped plaster had algae growing beneath the old plaster and it needed to be resurfaced. They each gave me a quote to install a new mini pebble surface and new pool tiles, and Tony gave a very competitive offer.Tony and his crew completed the job in the timeframe they outlined. If that had been the end of the story, Budget Pool Repair and Replaster still wouldve earned 4 or 5 stars. However, my pool equipment had several leaks and the pool lights had burnt out. Tony let me know about these problems, then went ahead and fixed them all as part of the service - free of charge. Also, being a new pool owner, he re-assured me that I could call him for any pool advice anytime in the future.Resurfacing your pool is an expensive endeavor. Id recommend that you make it much less stressful and go with Budget Pool Repair and Replaster if you want an honest company at a fair price. Best of luck to you Tony and to your company.

Overall - the pool and cool deck look great! There were a few minor issues that affect the aesthetics but the price was very fair.
