Lack of information on opening, closing and plans were mind blowing during the mandated closures. Phones disconnected, no response on social media. Extremely difficult to contact anyone in regards to payments that were automatically deducted. There still has been no official notification that’s it opened or closed. In fact I have another gym contacting me asking me to update my information for this location. Shady at best.

Desert fitness, on Brown and Recker, is a great gym! Justin the manager is helpful and nice, as is everyone I have dealt with. But my five stars go mostly directed to Brett. He is the lead trainer and is amazing. He listened to my concerns and goals, he made an assessment to find my weaknesses. Not to be left with just that knowledge, he put together a starting point plan for me to gain function in the areas where my body is weakest. He walked me through this plan so I knew how to use the machines. He is encouraging, intelligent and passionate about my success. As a newbie to the gym, Brett and the whole team here has made me feel comfortable and I am grateful!

This is the perfect gym for our family. Our boys love the play area and the girls who run it. The front desk is always so personable and kind. Their personal trainers are not salesman, which is awesome, and I would recommend Brett to any one.

I dont like to give bad reviews to places but here goes.Staff: theyre great and the only reason this place is staying afloat.Facilities: whole place smells like a fish market by the ocean for some reason. Not overpowering enough to be unable to get a workout in. Limited options for wiping equipment down after use.Equipment: ISO machines are fine but kinda limited. Free weight section LOOKS good at first glance. Then you realize there literally arent enough weight plates for people to be using the bench press, power rack, and power lifting stations at the same time. They dont even have 10 pound plates at all. Kinda hard to work on weight lifting progression when you cant properly increase load.Business: And heres my chief complaint about the place. Its pretty obvious the place isnt doing so hot financially and they take advantage of their customers. I was only with them for 3 months and they billed me on different dates each month, making it impossible to judge when Id be billed. Their yearly fee was about $15 more than the employee I signed up with told me it would be. My final month with them I was billed twice, and after one in person visit and three phone calls over a months span, I gave up trying to get the second monthly fee back from them and did a charge back on my credit card.Overall? Avoid this place and just go to Youfit across the street. Its cheaper and every aspect of that gym is better. I feel sorry for the people who work here.

This gym practices very deceptive billing procedures once they get a hold of your credit card. I had a sudden bill for needing to cover the gyms losses / unforeseen expenses and when I called it out, they apparently had the right to bill any credit card they had on file if the gym needed to be bailed out of a tough financial situation. Wut??? Well of course I cancelled because I didnt like the idea of them feeling free to bill me if they happen to be in the red that month, but lo and behold, still received a charge two months after cancellation. Had to go back in to get my account REALLY closed and also blacklisted them with my bank so they can never withdraw any more money from my card. They also lied about my reason for leaving being moving rather than the actual deceptive business practices. Dont be fooled by the low membership fees. They are intended to lure people in then hit them with but the gym is losing money and we need to be bailed out charges.

Im there at night, but friendly staff and machines are usually available and in good shape. Is a smaller gym, some more unique machines maybe missing but the standard is available and in good working order.

5 Star service from the moment I talked with Justin, facility manager, at the presale event. The gym has a little bit of everything from free weights, treadmills and classes, but best of all they have the top of the line trainers that dont work off commission. I highly recommend talking with Brett, who is very knowledgeable and willing to listen to your needs and not just give you a basic plan. My kids even LOVE the play area so much they never want to leave, plus the girls that run it are so sweet. So glad we joined!

If i could give it no stars I would. To keep my experience short and sweet. We were charged fees that we were unaware of... when I called in and spoke to Justin the manager he was not helpful in the least. In fact he was quite rude at the end of our conversation. Since then I have called back and spoke to Weston who promised me a copy of our contract, it is going on three weeks and I still have nothing. I have called in multiple times after that asking for Justin however he is either in a meeting, left for the day or upstairs with a client. I have asked for Justin to return my calls and still nothing... i started this on February 19th with no conclusion. In my opinion, it is a very unprofessional staff who is unwilling to work with their clients.

I noticed a random $26 dollar charge to my credit card from them. Called and asked. They said it was to cover operational cost and maintience to the equipment. Almost canceled my membership, but will give it a chance to see how often these hidden charges occur. Dont like them going behind my back and making charges to my credit card, without my consent.UPDATE!!2 months later I was double billed for the monthly membership fee. Seems that they make a lot of mistakes when automatically taking that payment. Time to say bye bye....

It is nice that this place is 24 hours and the staff is friendly. But the gym itself is way too small, not enough equipment. The floors are filthy with dust and dead bugs along the edges. The staff try to keep the equipment clean, but they use an oily liquid to wipe everything down which leaves a nasty film on everything, especially the cardio equipment. I will be cancelling my membership and heading across the street to Youfit, which is unfortunate because their hours are more limited in the mornings.

My wife and I have been going to this gym for a few months now. It is very close to our house and they offered a very low price when they opened. I usually stream movies on my iPad while Im on the treadmill, and unfortunately their wifi works less than half the time. Unlike other gyms, nobody seems to wipe off the equipment here so the machines are a little dirty and the place smells like a sweat sock.
