Candice legit gave me one of the best cuts I’ve ever gotten in my life, and I am not east to please when it comes to my hair! Perfection when it came to quality of my cut, conversation, friendliness, and the time she took on my hair. Not once did I feel rushed because she truly cared about giving me the best cut possible, and the exact cut I wanted! I will not only be coming here for my cuts from here on out, but I will be letting everybody I know who needs a barber to check them out as well! You guys have gained a new, very loyal customer! I take my two sons here and Ive never left disappointed. All very talented and nice barbers. Definitely worth the little extra money you spend compared to places like Great Clips and Fantastic Sams (Weve had too many bad haircuts from them!) Nicos is top notch and their online booking process is very user friendly.

Discovered this spot January of 2020. Have always gotten my haircut with my dude Arthur. Impressively consistent cut every time, always does a great job. Super clean and welcoming place. Zero reason to go elsewhere unless I have to move out of state or something, awesome shop.

Such a great job by the stylist and really nice place too. My son has a total mop going on and they cleaned him up into a handsome little devil! A couple vintage video games for the kiddos to play, TVs to watch during your cut, nice waiting space too. Definitely our new spot for the guys in our family!

Dylan was a great barber, very detail attentive! He was able to give my little 24 yr old bro a great haircut, even though my brother’s hair is thick, super straight and naturally sticks out in all directions like a chia pet, not to be mean, it’s just what his hair does. It’s amazing how Dylan was able to cut my brother’s hair to look exactly like the picture we provided. My brother enjoyed the experience and loved the haircut.Sometimes barbers will get it half to mostly right because they look at a picture and generally get the idea and the results are usually disappointing. However, Dylan was different. He got it exactly right! I’d definitely recommend him for his skill and his ability to match a cut to picture with 100% accuracy and how well he listens to the customer.The barbershop is very clean, well designed, and inviting environment. They have a couple of TVs, comfortable seating, and games to play while you wait.It is a little more expensive than other barber shops, but it was worth it.The other barbers seemed to take good care of their hair cutting area, very organized. I also noticed one of the barbers who’s chair is next to the register. He was very meticulous in the way he cut hair and in caring for his hair cutting tools. It was refreshing to see someone take such pride in his work.The lady who ran the register was very kind, helpful and alert. Seemed like she was genuinely service oriented.Lastly, I’d say that I noticed one of the girls was very flirty with her customers, which made my bro very uncomfortable because he was sitting in the chair next to hers and had to listen to the conversations. She also seems to hug all her clients, which could be cool for the single guys, but most likely NOT ok with the women who’s BF and husbands gets cuts from her. Who knows her intention, maybe it increases her tips?? I think if anything she should keep it professional and stick to cutting hair.

From small fry to large fry they can do it all, and perfectly. I have been taking my small fry human to Nicos for over a year. He looks like he may not have many hairs, and thanks to Nicos - the ones he does have are growing in perfectly and looking cute! This awesome place isn’t just for kids. My husband so is *extra* picky has been coming here too. The saying you don’t know what you have until you move out of the state and are left comparing every single place to Nicos and not being able to find anyone even close to comparing, is true. Plus every haircut goes towards actually helping other people?! Get outta here. Great talent. Great people. Also, cute as heck clothes and amazing products. Don’t sleep on this place. I have seriously considered making a very long trip back with a toddler just because this place is that amazing.

This was the first time I brought my 20 month old son to get his second haircut and Candice did such a BEAUTIFUL job with his comb-over haircut. She even convinced me to give him a mullet and it was the BEST decision I could’ve ever made! I’m obsessed with my son’s new haircut and I will definitely be coming back! The prices are reasonable and the fact that she put so much love into my son’s haircut truly shows how dedicated she is to her job. I’ve gotten my hair cut multiple times at Nico’s Barber Shop, at the original Gilbert location, and it has always been a perfect experience. The atmosphere and ambiance is wonderful, with cool decor and even their own branded care products and apparel for sale.I’ve peaked into this new location recently, and you will be blown away at what they’ve created at their new North Mesa store. Overhead is an amazing neon sign declaring, LOOK GOOD - DO GOOD. For those who aren’t aware, a donation is made to a local charity, for each haircut during the month. They are the real deal - an exemplary small business with a vision that is engaging, talented and friendly barbers, and an atmosphere that will make you want to come back again and again.

I had my first cut with Jen yesterday and Im thoroughly impressed! Having moved from Vegas where I saw the same stylist for years, I was nervous not knowing how to articulate what I want. Shes all about communication and making sure that she understands the look youre going for. If there are things you are unsure of, you can feel confident that she will use her artistic experience to give you a great look. Shes also a super cool chick that made me feel like I knew her for years. I will definitely be a recurring client of hers!

Every haircut I’ve ever gotten at Nico’s has been on point and what I was looking for. Very friendly staff that creates an environment that makes you feel welcomed. During this time with the virus the do an amazing job of providing mask and hand sanitizer. The barbers all wear mask and gloves to ensure everyone’s safety. I know they arent even open yet but Terry is an amazing barber. Hes been doing my hair for a few months now. Almost half a year. Amazing guy. I have a cool mohawk that he trims up for me like 2x a month. Great at fades and works with you on what you want. You wont be disappointed if you go to him. :)
