Run far away from this place! First of all, Lori is extremely unprofessional. She is monotone with no personality and just seems miserable and like she hates her life and job. Doesn’t even smile or greet customers in a friendly manner when answering the phone or walking in the shop. I have two brothers who are mechanics but needed brakes done and decided I would just come here to have them done quickly. Plus they had a coupon for $35 off of $99.95 and up. So I’m thinking I’m going to spend about $300 for brakes and rotors. They quoted me over $700 for one set of brake pads, rotors, and one caliper. My brothers found the parts online and Brake Masters was literally trying to charge double the price for the items. Lori acted bent out shape that I wanted to pick my vehicle up and not have it serviced there. I will never return here for any type of service.

Needed a quick repair on front brakes. Saw a coupon for $35 off a $99.95 and up front or rear service. Great! Figured it would be around $150 with the discount out the door for just two brakes for my SUV.After the inspection, was quoted a $162.45 price (with the discount). Well, this was more than I was planning on spending, but, OK, lets just get it done today- by this time, I was there over 1-1/2 hours, even with an appointment.Upon pick-up, the total was now up to $185.33. WHAT?? The service advisor stated that this was tax. Well, it was tax. And, also, a disposal fee, and AN ADDITIONAL $11.85 CHARGE FOR SHOP SUPPLIES.I was under the impression that the $162.45 was the out the door total. Do not appreciate being hosed for an additional $23. This is not an honest way to run a repair ship, in my opinion.NOTE TO THOSE USING THIS (or any other) REPAIR SHOP: Get a firm, to-the-penny quote FIRST before approving work. Lesson learned....

They really like to tell you alot of things are wrong with your vehicle even tho I use the dealership to fix all my problems took it to them for a simple oil change come back to say a bunch of stuff wrong took it to the dealer not a single problem was found thanks tho

Did a bushing job on my truck and brought it here for an alignment. The initial alignment took 3 hours which is long in the first place. The next day experienced weird clunking when turning. Brought the truck back and asked them to check out the truck and see what was wrong. (My guess was upper control arms that were not torqued correctly.) They proceed to put the truck on the lift and say that I have a worn inner tie rod that because everything was aligned and tight now, that may have revealed the issue and try to sell me on getting the job done there. They even showed me the play on the rod end. Which for parts and labor plus a power steering flush was going to be $900. I turned it down and bought the appropriate parts myself. As Im preparing to do the job I realize that the steering rack is fine and was solid. And I check the torque on the upper control arms, both nuts on the left side were torque to about 20 ft lbs (its supposed to be 155 ftlbs). So, I go back and demand a refund for the services because that were required. The manager apologized for the assistant manager who wrongly diagnosed the problem as a steering rack and proceeded insist that I give her a chance to fix the issue as a refund request has to be submitted through corporate and can take 7-10 business days to be approved or denied. I eventually caved and allowed them to realign the truck. This whole process happened over the course of a week. It was extremely unsafe to allow any customer to drive away in a vehicle that was in such unsafe conditions. I do not recommend you get any service done here.

I am very happy with the service that Brake Masters provided! After a terrible experience at Big-O-Tires and an $1800 quote that was outrageous and unnecessary, Brake Masters was honest about the work that had to be done and the price out the door was reasonable and fair. They did an awesome job on my brakes and let us know what had to be done in the future. They were quick and got my brakes done the same day. I will be coming back to Brake Masters for all of my car and truck repairs from now on!

Ive been getting my car fixed at any random brake masters that is close to where I am at the time, for a couple years now and they were good, they fixed what needed to be fixed and I didnt have any problems with them. They recently got a new floor manager named Lori and she has really changed my experience there. Her customer service is unlike any other car shop Ive been too, she takes the time to explain and show me what is wrong with my car because I am a young woman and unfortunately other car shops have tried to take advantage of that. I will always choose this store now because of her!

BS. Brake check took an 1 and 1/2 long. Came here because I thought I was getting a deal. I couldve paid less in town where I was before.

I had been putting off getting my brakes checked for awhile. The break pad noises were getting louder and I decided that I better get my car in today. I came in not long before closing time and they were happy to get me checked in anyway. Lori, the manager, assured me that it was no problem to stay a bit past closing, that my safety was more important. The lifetime warranty package is definitely a great value. Now I wont feel anxious when I hear the signals to bring my car in the next time, because I know that it will be affordable, quality work.

I recently moved here and called around to ask about what I needed to do bc my brakes were squealing and I needed my oil changed. This is the best, honest, down to earth auto repair place in the Phoenix area. I’ve been driving to this location for the last 10 years and although the staff has seen some changes the service is always the superior service you expect from a mechanic and especially a known company. The lobby is clean and the staff is extremely informative about what is needed done to your vehicle. You are never sold something your car doesn’t need there’s no mark ups to worry about the bill is always broken and discussed and the best part is they always have really coupons readily available for every service. I recently brought in my Scion xB in which I just purchased I personally knew nothing about the car and told them that and they ran my cars history and told me it only needed a oil change. Honestly I was expecting belts, hoses, the whole works as the car is 11yrs old. Hands down the best place to bring your car too.

If I could give -100 stars I would! I took my vehicle in for warranty work and I got my vehicle back with more problems than I took it for! Then I had to take it to a different one of their shops and my vehicle completely broke down before I could get it there! Supposedly the other office fixed it a after 2 days.... surprise surprise its NOT fixed and my vehicle is NOT safe to drive so I will be taking it somewhere else that can do a PROFESSIONAL job and get it taken care of correctly! This place is a JOKE!

I wanted a oil change and a/c recharge on my 05 Taurus oil change was done perfect and for a really good price. Now as for the A/C recharge I asked the male working the counter to put a vacuum on the system that should tell me if the system had a leak then to refill it. After about 1hour CAR was pulled around and said it was finished no leaks were found. I ran some errands and decided to change cabin filter while under the hood my daughter said daddy whats that sound and a very noticeable hissing was heard. Tracing the noise it was coming from the high pressure a/c line. I called the next day and asked for a full refund. The female manager kept cutting me off had the nerve to say bring in the car so that I can correct the issue and then hung up. Do not take your car to this place waist of time and money.

I have used Brake Master for the last 15 years. They always do what they say they will do and at reasonable prices. A few times, I took my car to a dealer, they insisted certain things be done to the vehicle immediately. When I took it to them, they stated there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. I trust them with all our vehicles.

I was referred to brake master from a few coworkers. And Laura was honest and she was able to find a solution to my problem. With my brakes and I got an oil changed I drive a foreign suv so the price was very reasonable. Thank you Laura and break master for getting me together. Went for an oil change 2 weeks ago. When driving away from there when service complete,I kept hearing something scraping underneath my suv. Pulled over and looked under the front end and found they forgot to replace a plate shield. Three bolts were missing, it was barely dangling on with the fourth. Being 7 months pregnant I had to crawl underneath and screwed it on best I could so I wouldnt lose it completely and drag anymore. Went back and a mech apologized. Now my oil pressure warning light and gauge keep going on off fluctuating. Never had this problem till I let them do an oil with filter change.

My rear driver side brakes started making a sudden Terrible noise. Brought my car here and they got it up on a lift extremely quickly. Turns out a small pebble had wedged its way in between the rotor and back plate and that was causing all of the noise. I was so ready to spend 100s of dollars and the remainder of my day fdealong with thus but was in and out in 30min with nothing exchanged but a handshake. I rarely write reviews but this one is well warranted. Will be taking all of my cars here in the future

I came in today to replace my struts that were blown. Julio and his manager went above and beyond to help me repair my car to get it back on the road and in perfect working condition. The crew was were speedy and efficient and so very nice. Theyre a must for when getting a unexpected car repair or every day maintenance. They are very affordable, and understanding people to work with so If you have any troubles or questions they have the answers. Definitely a 5 star rating ^-^

So I’ve been coming here for probably 6 months now. It started with an oil change, and has blossomed in to an awesome relationship for my old lil sante fe who keeps needing work. I love working with Lori, she’s been such a pleasure, especially knowing shes honest and professional. The mechanics do a superb job- no work has had to be returned or questioned. I even just moved to Scottsdale and still drive all the way down here for work on my car. Their prices are great, their work is fantastic, and I’m just grateful to have found them!

Place is terrible, over quoted by $400 when discussing with my personal mechanic it almost brought him to tears when explaining to him the scare tactics that this place used to try and scare us into doing the over priced work. Tried telling us they wouldn’t let us leave until we agreed to the work. Once we were firm and explained we knew they were ripping us off, their entire attitude changed and all of the sudden things were being offered for free. Don’t waste your time or the emotional stability by being exposed to these poor business tactics, visit a mechanic and get the work done for 1/3 of the cost like we did!

Laurie was outstanding with customer service, friendly atmosphere, explained future service needs, she possesses years of experience in the automotive repair industry. Great experience with prompt service. Professional and truth worthy management.

Because I am a women they said I needed 1,500 worth of work to my air. Just want to sell. They definitely dont want to help in anyway like fixing only what you need right then. Will never use them agaiin. After all this the manager Jeff called and wanted to do anything to rectify the situation. He did help us out and am thankful I now have air!!

Was told not to trust Brake Masters but had to learn on my own. Had quote for much lower price somewhere else but wanted it done as a walk in so I stopped in to price. Was quoted a price that was a little more but figured it was more convenient. I verified explicitly what my price after coupon would be (before tax). I was reassured twice only to have the total be even higher. I challenged and manager said it is what it is and I must have been quoted wrong. The guy who quoted me literally just says my bad and nobody even blinks. DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING TO BRAKE MASTERS!

My AC had to be completely replaced - the entire system. They only kept it overnight, and were in communication the entire time. For the first time, my AC blows ice cold. Friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff. Same day appts. Highly recommend.

Too expensive for a basic job, water pump and regular brakes $1,100 not sure if my car really need it those repairs

Usually Ive had great service at this location. Recently took my truck in for an engine diagnostic. I was told that I needed my intake manifold replaced (consisted of a kit for parts on both the top and the bottom) the parts and labor came to just over $700. I ended up taking my estimate to another Brake Masters location who I got approved to do financing through, and after they reviewed the estimate and did a couple tests that the first location did not preform during their diagnostic, my actual repairs that were just hoses that needed replacing, came to just over $350. Really disappointed your location did not preform all necessary diagnostic tests,t I paid for, and almost had me pay for an expensive, unnecessary repair. Hope this isnt happening to other customers. I would get a second estimate before signing off on any repairs here.

I went in today to get my serpentine belt replaced. My car was done quickly and Stephanies customer service was excellent. Ive taken my car there in the past for oil changes and such and will continue to do so again. Highly recommended.

Had my brakes and front bearings replaced. Was given an estimate the day I scheduled my appointment, three days later when I brought my car in, the estimate increased by $170(to a total of $490). BUT, they called to tell me my equalizers were shot. and told me they can fix everything for just under a grand. I said f*** off and Ill pick up my car right now. Thats when he dropped it down to $490. When I picked up the vehicle, he said we managed to lube the equalizers, hopefully they wont need to be replaced as he crossed his fingers. There was nothing wrong with them. They wanted more money. DONT COME HERE UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING OVER CHARGED! Gave 2 stars JUST because Yall had complimentary coffee.

My wife and I have been bringing her car here for about 3 years for oil changes. Weve never had an issue, and the mechanics are transparent. We recently had to bring in the car to have some work done and had to leave the car there for a few hours. We were quoted 2-3 hours worth of work, and got exactly that. In my opinion, people who dont have the knowledge to do the work themselves complain about work needing to be done on their car are the ones complaining on here. I have the knowledge, but not the time. I am 100% satisfied with the service weve received, and I dont doubt that I will have the same feeling about future work that will have to be done on our cars.

Ive had nothing but issues with my brakes since Ive been three 1 yr ago.Squeaky noise and brakes replaced once during the warranty replacement on my drums and Ive gotta do them all again

They are usually quick and efficient, I have found it best to schedule an appointment but if you just walk in and can leave your car np. Out of all the places I have ever taken one of my cars its one of the best if not the best Ive ever been to. Prices seem reasonable, I dont feel like every time I go in Im being sold a bunch of other issues and my cars always come out better than when I brought em in. Highly recommend it, they were recommended to me by a trusted friend and its been everything he said. Ho check em out.

So when I took my car in, cause of a noise I would hear when stopping. ( simple brake noise) They kept telling me that the noise I heard was the hubcap moving around. So I went an got a 2nd opinion elsewhere they told me that the brake calipers needed lube that’s why your hearing that noise. Afterwards I haven’t heard the noise since.

Great customer service. Everything explained in detail. I spent a lot less than what the dealer service dept wanted to charge for new brakes!

If there is a option, I would give them zero star. Took my car there for simple oil change last Saturday. This Monday I found my car is dripping oil. Took the car back, they show me there is a crack on the oil pan and asked me if I hit something. I was like you guys broke my oil pan and try to blame on me. They said it cost over 300 bucks to fix the pan. No thank you. I cannot believe that. Now I have to paid over 300 bucks for what it would be just a simple oil change. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these guys.

I went with a quote from Brakes Plus for a $300 brake and rotor job. Walked out of Brake Masters with an oil change and brake clean and adjustment. My rotors and brakes are still good for another 20,000. Thanks Brake Masters. You saved me over $300. You guys rock. Thanks Steve.

While they did the brakes and the work done is very good the mechanic that did the job has an attitude of a pit bull with rabies.

Had over a thousand dollars worth of work done at this location, the wrong part was used on my oil pan which is now damaged and I am having to drop another 300 dollars to get it repaired. I went in to see if brake masters wanted to fix their mistake and I was told it wasnt their problem oil pans just break on their own. So if you want to spend a lot of money to have work done WRONG on your vehicle come to this location they will be sure to set you up to be a life long customer if you know what I mean. garbage

I had took my car to them and I thought they fixed my car I was really happy and thanked them and left a great review only for my engine light to come back on and when I took it back the following weekend they told me they can’t fix it that my engine light is on because it’s it’s reading a code that says it won’t pass edmissions i really feel cheated out my money because I brought and paid y’all to fix it yet my car engine light is back on the guy also told me he can Make it go off but it will Come back on now I’m realizing they didn’t fix my car they just turned the light off like they’ve done before stay away from this place they’re just cheating you out of your money

Last couple of times I came here for an oil change. Both times when I left, my check engine light was on. (The last time I didnt notice till after I went grocery shopping nearby.) So then I had to come back to get that fixed. Other than that, theyre alright, but I think Ill go to Gunnels instead.

I have had my car serviced for oil here for a year now. I usually get extended life oil change and filters done but am due for my 80,000 mile service and will take my car here because they are service member/ veteran friendly for starters and they have always given me great service. The poor reviews here seem to be people upset they found their cars needed more extensive repairs or they hear a noise but then dont say if they went back to get it re checked which confuses me. Talk to them. Great service. And theres an awesome barber shop next door and a short walk across the street to Everything Bunt Cake for some tasty treats. I know its hot out, but a little walk takes the time away and your car service will be done ;) I love this shop.

I was in there about a week ago and Jeff Kildea was the best. Honest and up front and didnt try to upsell me on anything I didnt need, and looked over my whole truck from the breaks to cabin filter. Will definitely be back and refer my friends.

Ive been going to this location for years. They have always taken care of my vehicles. As far as wait time, it depends on the day, but truly it is not difficult to call ahead and make an appointment for your day off, which I always do and Im in and out for my oil change.

I will never go here again. I was told I needed the upper left ball joint replaced. The weel started making a noise as soonest I drove out of there. I really tought there was something wrong with my car. I have my vehicle inspected twice and nothing is wrong with it. Got new tires and alignment and is good to go.

Bought new brakes all the way around on my vehicle. 2 weeks later brakes start squeeking, took it back to have it checked just to have them tell me that the brakes I purchased did not come with noise guaranty, and I would have to spend more money for the premium brakes. Never have had that happen in all the years Ive owned a car, will never come back to this place again!!
