Look at all the negative reviews. So I was skeptical going in but all I was looking for was an estimate on a crown ( I had a broken back tooth). Told them I had assurant dental insurance when I set the appointment.They told me estimate would not cost me anything. Filled out all the forms went in for the exam verified it would be free she said it would be $35. I told her with my insurance it’s only $10 and free X-rays once a year. She gave me a excuse why it would be 35. I said no thanks. And left. Came back 5 min later to get the forms I filled out with all my personal info including ssn. She had it in her hand and would not give it to me. Then she said she would shred it. Just give it back to me what’s the big deal. Then she dropped it in the shredder box but I did not hear any shredding. Now she says a company comes by and picks up the LOCKED box and does the shredding. She shows me the box, all it’s just a plastic garbage can with a locked top.If Coastal dental goal is to provide exceptional customer service then just give me my personal papers back and it’s over. And don’t lie to get me to come in.

The staff was very professional and took all the necessary steps for COVID, waiting outside or in your car till it’s time for your appointment, wearing masks etc.. They did my exam, I explained my concerns and they explained my treatment plan and exactly what my insurance didn’t cover so I wasn’t hit with any surprises. Even before my cleaning she went over the cost of what I’d pay that day and what I’d have to pay if my insurance didn’t cover the rest. After my cleaning she even took the time to explain and show me the proper way to floss and use my ultrasonic brush the right way before I went home. I left feeling good, clean, and more educated about my dental hygiene. By far the best experience I have ever had at the dentist. All the other staff were also very friendly and welcoming.

Worst place ever lost my x-rays make me wait for pain meds telling me I dont have an infection when I do very unprofessional and I recommend you dont go unless you have no choice they dont care about you they care about a check

Went to office waited for 2 hours plus my first visit, they set my appt for a procedure 3 weeks out I arrived checked in they forgot about me for an hour they never checked me in or even pulled my authorization through my insurance then tell me I have to reschedule after already speaking with them prior to my appt the same day and previous. Not a very put together office, I wouldnt be here if my insurance wasnt limited to where I can go!! Dont do it you will regret it!

Just had a double crown repair. Best professional staff Ive seen in a very long time. Much better than previous experiences with other companies/Dentists. They will work with you to be able to get procedures done. Highly recommend.

The woman who answered the phone was beyond APATHETIC; had ZERO ANSWERS & YAWNED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ONE SIDED CONVERSATION.When I asked her if she was still on the line it was like.”Oh, are you still talking?!?” I asked her why she seemed so apathetic and she said, “I don’t know what that word means (??)!”Does anyone else see a problem with this receptionist? Not to mention that she did not see a Office location near me and there’s one 5 minutes from my house. I have taken a friend there and the secretary is one rude self centered person in my opinion . While my friend was in the back I saw the secretary over playing in the makeup isle of the market next store. Not sure how the dentist himself is but he definitely needs more professional help in the front. My recommendation is to go some where you will feel more respected.

Didn’t even get the chance to get into the office. After getting there 20 mins early like they ask to fill out paper work, I was stuck in my car for an additional 45 mins waiting on them to call me in. I finally went in and the dental assistant had to practically beg one of the x-ray techs to get me seated. I said no thanks i’ll find a different dentist.

I have made an appointment back then in august and waites 2 months bwfore i can get in. When i get there they say the call in center make my appointment and they cant take me. Send me home and make another appointment for a month later. Also make an appointment for my son and they say he 5 and the dentist can take him. When i came they also say the call in center make a mistake ans he cant sew my aon because he too young. I think they dont want to ssw me because im asain. Had emergency work done on teeth at Merritt Island Coast Dental Office was the best experience I had professional staff Dr Jose Eduardo DMD, & Assistant Gretchen, took extreme measures to make sure my visit was pleasant, safe, painless, with there 30 +years dental expertise! Also to Pat up at front desk who is friendly and personable, who I knew from Titisville South office for 10 yrs. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND there extensive services!!My dental work was 3 crown, bridge, extraction of tooth all same time in 1 office visit. Dr Eduardo is gentle, quiet but concerned and professional Dr. using the most modern technology In densistry. Had no swelling or pain from extraction. Dr Eduardo made sure my gums were numbed up!!!! Gretchen stayed right by my side making sure I was comfortable and readily accessible and made my temporary bridge to leave office which fit perfectly . Coast Dental Merritt Island is the best dentist ever! Not only do they have amazing dental staff but the Orthodontist Dr. Lauren Lockhart is the most amazing Orthodontist ever! She is so caring, patient, and professional when it comes to your braces. The experience has been great and I have the most beautiful smile ever! She is a must see when it comes to getting braces and Im so happy she was my Orthodontist.

Took my son to appointment today, after driving from Satellite Beach to Merritt Island, that his insurance will no longer be participating with them. No one called me to inform me. Totally unprofessional. Every time we did have an appointment we waited over an hour or more to be seen. This is the worst company.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Made an appointment which was over a month out for a cleaning. Appointment day gets here and I asked the lady at the front desk if it would be long and she said no, it would be just a few minutes. An hour later they call back the person that arrived AFTER I did. I asked the lady what the deal was and she rescheduled me. Thank you for wasting my time! I am super busy at work and working long hours and now have to make up the hour and a half I missed. Had I known it was going to be a waste of time I would have started with someone else. I should have listened to the other reviews here before choosing this place. Next appointment not available until the middle of April. Im finding someone else who is not going to waste my time! Pissing off customers is not a good way to stay in business!Update! So I thought I would give them a second chance. That too was a miserable failure. I arrive 10 minutes before my appointment and was the first one in the office. I waited 20 minutes and watched two people be called back before me even though I was the first appointment of the day and the first customer to walk in the door. The technician wanted to get the other people started because she said They were easier. So the lady takes me to the back and then proceeds to explain to me since I am a new patient, I would be introduced to the doctor and then the hygienist and then they would get a full set of x-rays and recommend all services they could and do an oral cancer screening which insurance doesnt cover, so it will be an extra $70. I told her, I dont want anything done besides a cleaning. So then she says No, you have to do it this way because you are a new patient. At no time was I told that this was how it was going to go. I made an appointment for a cleaning. She then said that the hygienist wont be seeing me today anyways because she sets her own schedule. At no time was I notified that this was the case. I was told I would be coming in for a cleaning. I am now 3 days away from leaving for a vacation and have to find someone else to clean my teeth before I leave. I was so mad that I walked out. Thank you for wasting my time again. I guess my initial opinion was correct.

I was an Epidemiologist and Public Health Advisor and I am telling you, they dont care about you at all!!!.1.They overbook the new patients and then call you to canceled and give you an silly excuse that the Dr is sick or Dr has a problem or Dr is on Vacation! Like you dont have anything else to do more than wait them to call you to rescheduled! They canceled me 3 times!!!!2. Do you know that xray radiation is accumulative over the years?? Do you also know that your Dr can use your xrays for about 3 years!!Adults without apparent dental problems do not need dental X-rays of any kind every year and can go 2 to 3 years between bitewing X-rays, according to the American Dental Association.I have my personal reason of why I do not want more xray!!! They pretended that they ask for my xray bu mail from my previous Coast Dental office. I called 2 times and went there personally to make sure they have it.They said yes.. my appointment finally arrived and guess what!! 1 hour later.. they said they need to take xrays because they received copies on paper!!!! X Rays on paper!!!!! They received by fax.. and I prety sure that they just got it!Really???? If they know what are they doing they supposed to know that you cant work with that and ask for the hard copy from the day they got it.In conclusion... you are just a bill..they don care about you and your time! Go to other office.

Didnt even get to have a first appointment for my children. Scheduled a appointment 3 months prior went to go to first appointment. Lady at the desk says I dont have a apointment for either child they are in the system but no appointment. Says will have to reschedule for another 3 months. I had enough walked out called the manager and she said well the doctor is on medical leave and since we didnt have a updated phone number we canceled your appointment. Weve been going there 4 about 2 years. At first we loved it, the dentist was awesome. We had a few issues with them rescheduling us a lot because they didnt have somebody show up. In the last year or so, weve had more appointments rescheduled then weve actually kept. And when we do show up for an appointment theres almost always only one Tech available that day or theyre down a number of people and the wait is one to two hours plus sometimes. Weve now been told that the dentist they have is leaving, and the new one isnt credentialed to take Medicaid StayWell. I wouldnt recommend this office at all. Were looking to find a new one

From the moment Johnathon made my appointment, until I walked in the door wherehe greeted me with a smile and was so nice and courteous. Gretchen who is at the front office is just as awesome. I watched as she greeted each patient with kindnesses and small personal remembrances of upcoming vacations. My wait was about 15 minutes which gave me time to fill out my forms. Johnathan checked on me during this time. Then the dental assistant Natasha Indira came in. I can not begin to describe how amazing she is! Then here comes Dr. Edvardo!!!!! I had amazing dental experiences before with other providers. The only reason I came here is because of insurance changes. I recommend not coming here. They push products on you and they told me I had stage 2 periodontal disease. They insisted I had it, but 6 months prior my original dentist said my mouth is in good shape. I am the type who flosses at least once a day and brushes 2-3 day. I was confused about the diagnosis so I decided to get a second opinion. I went to another dentist and he told me I didnt have stage 2 periodontal disease, but needed a routine cleaning. Another issue was when I had to do an initial appointment. I had to wait 3 months to see them because of no empty slots (no big deal. Its expected) well when they diagnosed me, I had to have an appointment 3 months away Again. I waited, and 3 days before my appointment they called and said they would have to reschedule. I was extremely mad due to the severity of their diagnoses. Never coming back. Overall, avoid this place that overcharges, makes false diagnoses for profit, and makes you wait 5+ months to be treated.

Two years of braces and I could not have been happier with ending up with Dr.Lockhart! It was a journey for sure, but I have always had nothing but a great experience since she has worked with Coast Dental. She always explains everything thouroughly and welcomes any questions or concerns. The staff here is also very pleasant, making me feel like more than just a patient. If you’re looking for a good quality orthodontist, I would recommend Dr.Lockhart.

Coast Dental in Merritt Island, FL did an amazing job with my sons braces! V helped me go through the insurance process and did a great job explaining the dos and donts and what to expect with braces. Desiree did an amazing job putting my sons braces on too! She was very friendly and made my son feel very comfortable during the process. Everyone was very helpful and answered all my questions. The orthodontist (Dr.Lauren Lockhart) is amazing also... She is very friendly, her and my son were joking and laughing through the whole process. That made my son feel very comfortable especially because he hates going to the dentist. One of the worst experience of my life. Now left in extream pain after Dr.. Sanchez worked on a tooth that was fine. And messed up 2 other teeth. I went there for 3 years. I will never go back. Now I have to go to specialist to fix 3 teeth. The assistant acted like a Damn drill sergeant as well. I also waited 3 hours to be seen. My appt. Was at 830am and was leaving at. 12:10pm when done. These people that work there come and shop at my job. Well the service they will recieve when they check out with me. I have a beautiful smile and almost perfect teeth. Now Im not sure whats going to happen after this debacle. Then I went back 2 weeks later and they said I never had a tooth filled there on the 4th of June 2018. I pulled out my reicpt. They found the paper but nothing was signed and dated so the receptionist filled it out Then on the 21st of June 2018 when I went back for him to fix the tooth. He said there was nothing wrong with it. I said. I wouldnt be back here if i was not in pain. He took 2 different types of xrays. After the 2nd he fixed my tooth that was NOW HURTING FROM HIM. Why did He fix it if there was nothing wrong with it now or still? No one knows whats going on in the office. And when the billing lady Pat asked how much to charge my head swung around thinking Im not paying anything. He said nothing she is not allowed to come back here. I am in pain still but worse. I want my monies paid back and my teeth fixed along with an apology. I feel like he is running insurance scams. Especially since there was no paperwork ..... But I had my receipt from original date. He did not want me to pay so There is no record of whatever he did the other day. I did not need that filling and now I have 3 teeth messed up.

My husband has had problems with them since last year. a couple days before his appointment they call and need to reschedule because the doctor is out. they rescheduled his appointment 3 times last year he got so upset with them and never went. well due to insurance this is the only dentist close by us that accepts his insurance so we tried them again cause they said it was a new doctor. well here it is the 27th and they call to reschedule my husbands appointment he has on the 31st until jan 7th why schedule appointments and then just call to reschedule. needless to say my husband isnt happy and will be finding a new dentist as the lady on the phone told him to do.. smh

Dr. Lauren Lockhart (Orthodontist) is very professional and she goes above and beyond to make sure that her patients are satisfied. I’ve had braces for 6 long years and I was finally able to get them off today! Before having braces, I was very unconfident so I decided to get braces. My case was very severe...I had to have surgery and two of my teeth had to completely cross each other. Many other practices were afraid to work with my case because it was very risky and I could’ve potentially lost some teeth but Dr. Valderrama (worked at Coast Dental at the time) was very brave and made me believe and trust in her that she was going to fix them. I have come a long way and thanks to Coast Dental, my confidence has skyrocketed like never before! The reason that I gave it four stars instead of five is because out of my 2/3 years of being a patient here, I had three different Orthodontists, which caused a slight delay in my journey.

Worst place i have ever been to. Was going to a couple extractions & get new dentures. Been going since sept. and they cant get the teeth right. Not rocket science. Horrible staff. Very incompetent. Every time I have had to bring my plan/bills to show them what I should be being charged. Dentist wants to challenge patients with push up contests instead of practicing professional dentistry. What a joke! Went today for a 12:00 appt. Placed in a room for 30 minutes before they realized they did not have teeth for me. Never received a courtesy call prior to appt to inform me. Stay away from this place!!!!!!

I decided to give this place a try, when I walked in I was a little shocked. They were a very small office with minimum staff, I couldnt get a straight answer about my insurance covering the procedure, and when the hygienist left me in the chair to find out about cost, I started to look around and saw how dirty everything was, how rundown everything was, and they didnt seem to have normal equipment that a dentist has to clean teeth. After sitting there for 10 minutes, I got up and told them I was not going to stay here and I was going to leave. So I did.

I came as a new patient and after being here 90 minutes and enduring 19 x-rays, Iam now being told to schedule a time to come back for a cleaning. I am not a happy customer 😔

Dr. Eduardo is the worst dentist that I have ever been to - He is rude and treated me like he did not have time for me being there - I waited for this appointment for over 2 & a half months to then wait for 1 hour & half before I was seen - to then be treated poorly by his assistant, who did not apologize for keeping me waiting as long as I did. His assistant /tall blonde/is just as rude as he is - she was hurting me doing x-rays & when I told her she told me everyone has to endure pain in their life. If I could give a negative amount of stars I would - Dr. Eduardo gave me a long list of things that were wrong with my mouth that were not there when I went to my last dentist, less than 3 months ago - I had to switch due to a change with my insurance. STAY AWAY from this place - he is TERRIBLE !!!

I will never return to this or any coast dental office EVER again. The service that was provided to me was absolutely awful. My first appointment at coast dental in Merrit island I was told by Dr. Eduardo HIMSELF that he would be able to take my wisdom teeth out. He said he might have trouble with the lower ones since they are still impacted, but the top two should be no issue. I was ecstatic because one of the upper ones were causing me extreme pain. After my first visit, Gretchen made me an appointment for April 10th, 2017 for my wisdom teeth to be removed. I was also given a treatment plan with how much the procedure would cost, and I was also given an appointment to get a cleaning prior to the extractions per Dr. Eduardo. I came in for my cleaning and just happened to mention to the hygienist that I was coming back soon for my extractions. She gave me a weird look and told me that in my patient chart that it said I was to be referred to an oral surgeon. I was also told by another employee that Dr. Eduardo does not perform extractions in his office. I was extremely confused and angry because I was expecting to get this procedure done so I would not be in pain anymore. So, instead of getting the extractions I settled for getting 2-3 fillings done on April 10th, 2017. On this day I had expressed how much my wisdom tooth was hurting me. It was mainly my upper right that was causing not only my mouth, jaw, and surrounding teeth, but also extreme pain in my neck. I asked Dr. Eduardo if he could give me anything for the pain, to which he replied no, I can only give you something if I did an extraction. I ended up making an appointment at an oral surgeons office to take one of my wisdom teeth out because I could not take the pain anymore. Since I didnt have a treatment plan sent ahead of my appointment I had to pay full price. For ONE tooth it cost me 330$. Fast forward to April 28th, 2017. I came back for two more fillings. What had set me over the edge was at the end of my appointment Dr. Eduardo says to me that we need to take care of the rest of my wisdom teeth. I said that I was told that you didnt do wisdom teeth, to which he replied that he could definitely take the top one out but I would have to go to a surgeon for the bottom two since they were too impacted. My question is, why couldnt he take out the tooth that was causing me SO MUCH PAIN?!?! It was fully erupted and he was more than capable of taking it out, which would have only cost me 40$. Not only does no one know what they are talking about, they cost me to pay SO much extra money that I shouldnt have had to spend. On top of that, when I was getting my fillings done on the 28th of April, the assistant told me that they would need to do an indirect pulp cap and that it would only cost 10$. Well, as I was checking out she says that my insurance company doesnt cover pulp caps and that it would actually cost me 30$. Absolutely UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!! The whole staff is completely uneducated and do not know what is going on!!! They have cost me so much money. When I tried to talk to Dr. Eduardo he pretty much brushed me off and didnt even listen to what I was saying. I knew I should have never came to coast dental I should have stuck with my gut instinct. I will NEVER come back and I will never ever say anything good about this office EVER. No one cares about how the patient feels theyre just trying to make a dollar. Im so absolutely disgusted with every single employee in this office. I am just in awe of how unprofessional everyone is. Im a full time student working part time trying to make ends meet and you all screwed me over big time!!!! If I could give negative stars I would!

I gave them five stars so people would see what we went through. I scheduled a appointment for my 8 year old daughter. She has a tooth that has been bothering her. After waiting almost a year for her appointment and my daughters tooth getting worse. I got a call from the dentist office two days before her appointment. They said they had to reschedule and they wouldnt be able to see her for another six months...mean while my daughter is in pain. Im not happy with them it wasnt fair for my daughter. And very unprofesional of them. The lady that called me had the worst attitude.

The time you have to wait is insanely long before seeing the doctor ! Unfortunately, I had dentures made and they turned out terrible ! I cannot even eat with them

My first visit here took them nearly 3 hours to see me, I thought it was a fluke. On my second visit, same experience. Their soul purpose as a business just might be to waste your money and time.
