John has been doing work on our property for 9+ years and has felled quite a few very large trees on our property. His expertise is unsurpassed. Other tree companies use large machinery (booms, etc.) which only add to the cost. American Tree is very straightforward, just utilizing ropes, a helper, and tree climbing skill. John is a wizard with a chain saw! Always on time and on budget. John and his helper are always polite, and both are professional and conscientious with both property owners and neighbors. We recomend without reservation. Photos are from this week - large dying silver maple taken down in 2 days including stump grinding.

John has been helping us with our trees for over 30 years. He has always been a reliable and great worker on each of our projects. He and his crew show up on the day and time they commit to do the work. Their work deals with interaction with several neighbors and there has never been a complaint. The work is done in a professional manner and there has never been a problem with residue left over from a job. We consider John our friend and rely on him every year to help with our projects.

John was working on my neighbors property so I asked him about leaf removal. I didnt have a scheduled appointment I just asked him since he was right there. He was super friendly but wasnt doing leaf removal - they were just there for tree trimming. But before he left he blew the leaves out of my front yard - what a nice guy! I will hire John for my next tree trimming service and would recommend him to all my friends.

We hired American Tree Service to remove a large ugly shrub, some stumps, and trim a tree. John did the work himself and did a great job at a reasonable price. That part of our yard now looks so much better! This is probably the third time weve used American Tree Service. They always do an outstanding job at a fair price.

John has taken care of all my tree care for over a decade. He has taken care of dozens of trees on my parents 20-acre parcel as well, and we couldnt be more pleased. John does excellent work for a very reasonable price. Hes hard working, direct and honest. (Hes also got a great sense of humor so we always enjoy having him out to work).John has a gift---when he trims a tree he brings out its beauty. I will never hire another tree man as long as Johns available.

Poor communication, nonresponsive

Had a great experience with American Tree Service. Very responsive and great quality work! Will definitely call them again in the future with tree needs.

Sunday there was a Man in my backyard! He opened my fence and helped himself onto my property! I confronted Him and he said the new owners next door are upset about a tree branch thats in my backyard leaning against their roof. I had no Idea it was! This guys gave me his card John Levinski American Tree & Shrub. He was using threats and intimidation tactics on me about the situation. I told John I will call my landlord and he said Good! Tell him hes got a huge problem 😮 I couldnt believe the way this professional was acting let alone entering my property without my knowledge or consent. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO ENTER MY YARD UNLESS I CONSENT! KNOCK ON MY DOOR LIKE A TRUE PROFESSIONAL!

American has been wonderful.Had my neighbors tree fall on my house.Called John that eveing,no worries!He was out the next day,bright and early!

Beware of this company giving bids then not returning calls. Not sure what this company is thinking when they do not communicate. Meanwhile four days later I am obtaining bids from companies that stand behind their bids. Do Not Hire
