I found Phoebe on Facebook and on a whim decided to book an appointment with her. She was super responsive and professional. When I came to the salon everyone greeted me and I got to know the awesome people that work there. This business is under new ownership and you can definitely tell. It was a totally different experience then the reviews from prior owner. Phoebe was so so sweet and now my go to. Id definitely give it another shot if you had apprehension! I gave her full creative freedom to do whatever she wanted and she did not disappoint!! I also got a pedi by a gentleman that works there. Totally sweet and it was great! Highly recommend. They use Valentino acrylics and young nails. Definitely or your run of the mill salon! They use quality acrylic powders, and phoebe applies the apex perfectly.

Called and 10 minutes later walked right in.. they were sweet and funny!! Phoebe did my nails and she was amazing!!! a true artist.. I love art on my nails!! and she was fantastic!!!

Great work when it’s done by Kim other than that expect to be there for 2+ hours. I called and made an appointment asking if they had time for an acrylic fill, they said yes. I show up to my apt one person starts doing my nails, another person takes over then that person stops to do another persons nails. Completely unprofessional don’t claim to have time and not actually have time. Just want ur money not giving you good service. Best part was I got to watch the girl that walked in after me leave before me with her nails done well mine were just getting filed.

My nail tech was Emily, she was very kind, professional, fast and efficient.

Im graduating this Saturday and thought Id get my nails done to celebrate. I had an awesome idea in mind and got nothing compared to it. To start off, the idea I had in mind was the following: the ring finger had some type of rocks on it and I was made aware they didnt offer this at their location. I was okay with it and said Id take glitter instead. Once he got going on my nail he said he didnt have white or asphalt like referred to it. This left my index finger clear and my original nail visible right under it. He also said, if I had airbrush, I could do anything. Lastly, when it came to adding the diamond/beads he said he didnt have the diamond shape like in the picture I had for him to go off of. He said he would do something nice for me. Nothing of what he did was unique. I payed $50 for a set that was nothing compared to what i had in mind. I would have appreciated if he would have told me be was unable to go with the design I desired. I would have been okay with that and would have gone elsewhere. I wont be going back.

Couldn’t be happier with my experience here. Dan did an amazing job on my nails. I love how gentle he was and how he really paid attention to detail. I will absolutely be coming back.

Unhygienic. Humiliating. Inconsistent. Bad quality. Go elsewhere!!Went here based off of a review from a close friend who had amazing pedi experience. Sadly mine was not the same.I showed up on time to my appointment, and was BARELY given the time of day. I was in an out in under 29 min for a pedicure! Shortest pedicure of my life!Massage was non existent, they rushed everything, and at the very end they messed up my toe polish when they put my shoe on.Then they over charged me for the service.I called to complain when I got home because I didn’t want to make a scene in public. They suggested I return so they could fix the messed up polish.The owner did my touch up, and told me that I should have come on a slower day, because they were busy on Saturdays. (Also that She has a life and wants to watch sports too apparently!) Also that I shouldn’t have called to complain later and that I should have said something right away.So it was MY FAULT. Umm? Hello? I had an appointment!?Let me tell ya, it felt wonderful having the owner rip me a new one in front of everyone for no reason.Yeah, I will never return. The unprofessional attitude, public humiliation, terrible service.I don’t know where they get off thinking they can treat paying customers this way.Too bad I paid cash or I would have called my bank to refund me every dime I gave them.Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else that isn’t “so busy” so they can “enjoy watching sports” on weekends!

I went in there asked if they had time do to a pedicure was told there was a 20 minute wait. I said thats fine. My husband then left to go run errands while I get a pedicure. About 10 minutes later the lady actually grabs her appointment book and says she actually doesnt have time and the wait will be atleast an hour. Seriously if they are busy thats one thing but to tell me you have time and then dont and waste my time that is horrible business. My ride was already gone so now he has to turn around to come get me. Super frustrating.I wouldnt recommend them. I have actually used them before a few times but this was kinda it for me. They only do an ok job.

The gal who did my nails was extremely unprofessional and was telling me all about how Covid was fake and the government is trying to control us and how if she doesn’t want to wash her hands she’s not going to. And was just spouting nonsense the entire time about the government. No one that worked there sanitized between clients. And none of them were wearing masks. Also my nails are not straight and some are longer than others. I honestly couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Do not recommend. Not to mention they were out of a ton of nail polish colors.

Ive been coming here for a couple years now and I love it. I always have a great experience and can usually just get right in for a pedi. I dont ever get my fingernails done so I cant say if it is better to make an appt for that but for toes I have always just walked it.Thu and Dan are my favorite in terms of quality and attention to detail, not that I have ever turned down anybody else, but I always get a little excited if I get lucky and one of them are available, truth be told. I should add that everyone here is extremely nice and straightforward and I have observed on days when Ive just felt like being quiet, that its noticible that the various techs have clientele who wouldnt go anywhere else.They have punch cards so eventually you can earn $20 off your services, which is a nice little perk. Go see them, next to Rosauers on Eagle, you wont regret it. Nice, clean facility and not as open feeling and noisy as the place across the street by Kohls....here you have a more personal, relaxed experience :)

Not only was it a pretty unprofessional experience from the start, but they absolutely ruined my nail beds. The nails I had done were expensive and looked so bad I had to come back and have them fixed. On top of that they kept breaking and I had to come back 3 separate times in a matter of days. A waste of perfect nail beds and 70 bucks. 😫

I came here for a full set of acrylics. The blonde lady (I think her name is Kim) who did my nails glued my skin to the nails and kept filing the skin. Each time I would pull back and say ow she would apologize but continue to do it. I left it alone but towards the end of my appointment her boyfriend or husband comes in the shop with no mask or following 6 ft rule and is sitting pretty close to me while coughing a lot my direction and drinking a whole bottle of wine that the lady who was doing my nails gave him. They were just talking as much as they could and I was starting to get annoyed. My mother who was with me asked the lady up front to please get him away from me because she could tell I wanted to explode so he finally got up and sat somewhere else but my experience was still awful. I will never come back to this place, especially since they have no masks or 6ft policy which is something they should have. I don’t think they even have an alcohol certificate either so they shouldn’t be passing out wine to people. Definitely turning this shop in and would 100% not recommend going here.

Good place, Sonny is awesome. The last lady I got tho rushed threw my pedicure. I paid money for a massages that felt like she was just pinching me. I suggest making an appointment with sonny.

Women who own this establishment are very kind and absolutely funny! I love coming here. I usually get pedicures, and bring my elderly mother as often as I can. Its hard for her to do her own pedicure, they are very sweet with her and it melts my heart. My nails always look great, I broke a toenail and they did a great job.

Five stars for seeing me right away and getting me in quickly. However, the nail artist didnt even take time to shake off her towel that I had my hands resting on that was full of nail clippings from her previous clients. So one star for that. Its been a week and so far no chipping, but on three of my nails the quality of work is poor... The surface isnt smooth like it should be. I may go back because they are so affordable, but Ill ask for a different tech.

Not thrilled with this place. Had dipping powder on my nails which caused me to have to change colors as the girl I had, had no idea how to take it off without making a mess.The guy who did my mothers nail insisted on using the gel dryers on regular polish. The base polish was all spidery and not smooth.Do not recommend

It doesnt smell very good in there, hence the three star. It smells like rubbing alcohol. But the nail quality is really good. I got my nails done in gel and they are hard to chip, even while working on the pottery wheel. They have a lot of colors to choose from and the person that does them is very neat and talented, and fun to talk to. The end result of the nails is great, but the actually peaceful spa vibe isnt really there. I would recommend it if all you care about is the nails actually getting painted, not so much for the experience. They also rub lotion all over your hands when they are done, which I personally dont like. Just a warning to bring a towel if you dont like the lotion. Pretty cheap too, Im think it was like $30 when I went.

Another wonderful pedicure! Thank you Modern Nails for always taking great care of my toes. They use clean tools, dont leave polish on your skin and are awesome at fixing and preventing ingrown toenails. And I never have a problem getting an appointment. Thanks guys!

Horrible! My first time doing my nails in Idaho and I was not pleased! Nails are uneven, one long one short... and my gel polish is sloppy and had air bubbles that came too within a day. I told my nail tech. - she said “well they can’t be perfect” a friend told me my nails looked liked they needed to be filled, that was a day after I got them done. Never again will I go there!

I am so happy with my nails! The shape is exactly what I asked for and they look so natural and real. The salon is clean, friendly and very professional. I actually paid a little less than I was paying elsewhere. Happy Camper! 💕

Every time I leave Modern Nails I always have the most beautiful nails. Theyve never over charged me like other salons usually do and theres a bunch of polish colors.The place is very clean and the staff is very nice. Never had a bad experience.No polish or acrylic smell so thats always nice!

I love this place. When I first moved here, I looked for weeks to find a nail place I liked. I tried several different places but my nails never lasted. I am really hard on my hands and nails either fell off or the gel chipped...until Modern Nail!!! The ladies there are awesome! My first full set lasted three weeks before a fill. I love this place. I highly recommend making an appt and seeing for yourself.

She fixed my nails! I had to find a new place to get my nails done cuz the last place jacked mine up. They were chipping and cracking. Went here as a walk-in once and no problems since... Ill be back this week! Hope she has room for me! But Ill book appointments from here on out.

I took my best friend here for her graduation present, had a wonderful experience but the next day her gel manicure was already chipping. We called in and went in the next day to get it fixed. Few days later mine began chipping well and so did hers, even the ones that were recently fixed. We called in again, expressing our unhappiness and the lady offered us a free gel manicure. At this point since we had already been in there to get it fixed we didnt want another one so we asked for a refund. The lady on the phone told us she would call back and she never did. So we called again and said we could come in for the refund. When we arrived and I went in, the lady, knowing who I was, barely acknowledged me and the when the guy handed me my money back was extremely rude to me. UM, we will not be going back or recommending this place.

The nails turned out okay but the lady cut my daughters thumb then continued to paint over it while it was still bleeding. Also the other guy doing my daughters friends nails was harshly chewing her out telling her that she needed to find a job that robots can’t take over! He scared her half to death! Overall I don’t believe we will be going there again.

I made two appointments, one for me and one for my daughter. They got to hers and did a great job. We had to wait 20 minutes for mine so my girl had to sit around and wait (shes 6) the girl who did mine right off the bat started conversation about things she probably should t be saying outloud, just inappropriate info I did not want and my daughter shouldnt hear. She asked what length I wanted and when I tried to show her she said I think I know and just started trimming. Wrong! It was too short, some are crooked and not all the same length. Theres a lot of gaps and just all around a very rushed job. I even informed her that Im kind of a perfectionist. Definetly not going back and not worth the money.

Hein is wonderful just sad it took a year before I found her. Highly recommend.

My nails looked so bad I drove straight to another place to have them redone. The owner did my nails... dont know her name since she didnt even introduce herself. She gave inappropriate, unsolicited advice and her station was dirty. Will never go back! Waste of my money ☹.

Went in to get a manicure, decided to go with regular nail polish vs gels. Wasnt too pleased with it because when the new polish was applied there were still visible spots of the old polish. Not even 24hrs later the nail polish on all my fingers started peeling off and was looking like it was at least a week old. Went back in to get it redone and was told that polish does that! AFTER 24HRS!!!!Was told they can redo it and this time I wanted to go back to gels. Instead of them trying to apologize, i was given a cold shoulder and was told ill be charged reg price!

The worst pedicure and manicure that I have ever had. They have unsanitary practices, that left me with a fungus. I would save your money and visit a number of salons that will be better quality for the same price or less.

I have been gettingy nails done by hein for over 10 years. When she moved to eagle rd i used several places closer to me but all i found was bad nails and bad attitudes. Now my friend and i happily make the drive. Kim and hien have amazing talant and great personality. I would also recommend tim for a peti he has a great eye for detail and he is a big teddy bear.I highly recommend modern nails to anyone for any of their services.
