The lady who runs the fish section really needs to be fired i came in a couple time last year and she would never sell fish to me even though Ive been in the hobby for almost 7 years. She always claimed they were under observation she would tell me to come back on on a certain day and I would come back and they would still be under observation. I Finally stopped going I returned on the 29th and just walked in the fish room and she said SIR DONT STEP ON THE HOSE I wasnt even near the hose I just ok and continued to look I saw what I needed asked her if I could get 2 guppies and she said their under observation so I left and was checking out and a little girl walks up to me

The lawn program took my lawn from the worst in the neighborhood to the greenest, most lush lawn in the neighborhood. My lawn is greener and healthier all year long! You have a customer for life here!

Lady in the fish section was really rude and kept telling us if we arent going to buy anything we need to leave and when we did Decide to buy a goldfish she basically intaragated me and my son about are tank size and how many fish we have and if we can afford to take care if it. This all went down today around noon

I love the people at this store. They offer sound advice regarding all things lawn and garden. They offer solutions that many times do not require purchasing something from their store to fix the issue. I trust them completely, and they seem to intimately know how to care for lawns and gardens in this area.

The person working in the aquarium was very helpful .

Karen helped us choose and learn to take care of 6 plants. Weve never owned plants before but with Karens help we feel confident to take care of them just fine. I would recommend Zamzows to anyone else looking for indoor plants.

I was looking for a type of plant holder and tips on plants that can live in it, for a Christmas gift. I started at Zamzows online, but didnt know how to search for it. They have online chat help and they directed me to the nearest Zamzows that had what I was looking for.Once there, the lady was very helpful! She even gave me some soil and an extra plant (a baby 1) to go with my purchases. Even the way they protectively bagged everything was cool.

Called 5 times and no answer. Selected every option available from the manager, operator and garden and still it goes straight to voicemail. Its a Saturday at 2pm and you dont have enough staff to answer phone calls?I love supporting local but only when they care enough to answer the phone to assist their customers.

Every employee I interacted with was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about helping. They had exactly what I needed for my garden and their selection of pet gear all seemed to be of great quality. Overall experience was extremely positive!

They have some of the best prices in the area. Amazing, wonderful, helpful and kind staff (I go in every 3 days for crickets), and they have 2 black cats who are incredibly cute, even though one of them is a cute little pisspot and gets overstimulated with a couple of pets. Always getting new and cute critters too!

This was my first time in a Zamzows as weve only been in the area for 2 months. The employees were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Well be regular customers for sure!

I do not patronize this location very often just because it is way out of the way for me but the times I have had to make the trip because they had what I needed or in most cases just wasnt willing to wait for I have always had great service and a great customer experience

I have three dogs and have been a long time customer. I go out of my way to buy food, leashes, beds, toys, and treats there. I feed Taste of the Wild and 2 weeks ago went in to the Overland store for a 30 lb. bag and they were sold out. No big deal, I just grabbed a 15 pound bag and went on my way. This week I went in for a 30 and they were out again. I asked if they were having problems getting the 30s and he said they could take my number and call me when they were back in stock. Well, my dogs were almost out and I could not wait, so I asked if I could buy 2 of the smaller bags for the 30 lb. price. They called Scott who I assume is a manager out, and he said No, I cant do that. We would loose money. Which is a lie. Well, guess what? D&B Supply has is for less than what Zamzows sells it for and it is right on my way home for work. Instead of losing a few dollars in profit, you just lost a customer for life. I was so disappointed, I called headquarters that day, left a voicemail and never heard back. Shows how much they care about customer service....

My family loves Zamzows and this is our preferred location. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and have helped us troubleshoot issues with our lawn and garden. Their lawn program, while it seems expensive, is great and pet/kid safe. Their Grandma Zs dog food has been our chosen brand for years now.

So i got a dog trinning color there and it did work called them and they said they have a 48hr return policy even though there sighn says 72 in the store....so i called sportdog (the maker of the system) and they was blown away that they even sold the system...it hasnt been made in over 10 years.....and they was upset cause they sold it to me for a 130% markup price.... thank got sport dog is a honest company there sending me there bran new setup that is actually worth the money i spent..So if you want outdated stuff shop at zamzows they will find a way to not replace it and sell stuff that was supose to be off shelves 10 years ago

Jim zamzow himself came and told us what was wrong with our squash leaf and how to fix the morning glory in our lawn. You dont get that kind of service in other towns! I love Idaho!!! And I love Zamzows! :-)

We have used the Zamzows lawn program for about 15 years. Its the best program there is and we have the lawn to show for it!

I had three different staff spend time to find the answers to some off the wall questions thatI needed answers for. They never acted put off or as if they had other places they needed to or would rather be! I go to Zamzows because they always have what I need and always help me find it.😊

For fish and supplies I would actually recommend going to PetCo on Eagle Rd. Cuz they have better prices and their fish are healthier.The goldfish here are constantly under observation and the people dont seem do know enough about the area that they work in any time Ive gone in with a question.

The pet room people are not helpful. I was chastised for having a 10 gal tank and too many fish even though Ive been running it for 5+ years with no issues. One guy tried to sell me an assassin snail and said it was the same as a zebra snail. DEFINITELY NOT THE SAME. Their RO (reverse osmosis) water kills fish because they dont change the filters on their tank and then sell the water as RO when it really hasnt been filtered properly. Overall the pet room people are unhelpful and judgmental. Save a trip and go to another Zamzows or an actual fish store like Aquariums and Stuff.

As an inexperienced pond owner, I am very grateful for the knowledge Dan shared with me this morning when I went in to find maintenance products for my pond. I came away with everything I needed and am happy with the price I paid.

Great customer service, it may be more expensive, but its always been quality lawn and garden care. I have come here for grass seed to start a lawn and lawn care, other cheaper big box stores and name brands will work, but zamzows just looks and work much better. I dont have to do as many applications for seeding or weeding.

Great for lawn care supplies, pet treats and toys, friendly helpful staff, they fill Propane tanks there as well.

Asked too many times if I needed help ( total of 6 times & by same people ). I like that they carry freeze dried dog treats that are sourced and manufactured in the USA. Nice that now carry Primal, raw frozen canine food.

I’m just a little disappointed, I purchased 2 female rats almost 3 weeks ago now and have been a rat owner many times. I have never dealt with a rat so unsocialized and fear biting every time we go to even pet her. I usually go to the Zamzows on fairview but figured they all purchase their rats from the same breeder, as I was told. The way one of the employees handled the rats was just a huge no! I understand needing to catch them to take them home but forcefully grabbing one like a claw is a huge no. I should have known right then and there it would be a problem. The smaller of the two rats is starting to warm up, more curious but the (I’m assuming) older one hides, fear bites (not hard enough to draw blood), looks terrified every time we even come in the room. I have never dealt with this behavior and I’ve had plenty of feeder rats as pets more socialized. Handle your rats with care and I hope you are getting them from a breeder who is handling them from birth as it should be and not a huge corporation.

Ive never taken the time to write a review before... But, today I had an AWESOME experience at the Zamzows right next to where I work. Ive used many Zamzows products in the past and always am greeted with a nice knowledgeable person at all Zamzows Ive ever been at & I love all the products Ive used. I had what I thought were spider mites on my house plants- Which came from one single plant I bought at Walmart a few months ago- They spread like wildfire from plant to plant- DONT ever get plants there! Anyway, I thought they were spider mites.. When I went to Zamzows a few weeks ago I got a spray to kill them, which when it didnt work, I went to see if there was something else today. The nice lady at the Overland/Eagle store mentioned it could be another type of bug and actually showed me one from a plant that had been outside.. IT was the same bug I have on my plants which would explain why the 1st product I bought didnt work. She took the time to read directions of the product and how to use it and was just so considerate and nice. Also, since some of my plants have died from this horrible white bug- I forgot the name already... But, I bought another cute plant from Zamzows, theyre plants are always great!
