I believe the chemicals Diamond Lawn put on my grass caused a fungus with the high water table in Star. I am the only home on the street that used Diamond Lawns. I am the only house with the Brown Patch Disease. I paid them to make my lawn green, lush, and weed free, and it is brown, dead, and diseased. And when I asked them to come apply an antifungal to fix it, (we have been fighting it now for two years), they said I would need to pay for the application. So they charge you to cause the disease and they charge you to fix it. Poor business practices.

This is our 3rd summer of using diamond lawns. There on time responsive in consols any problem we have. They are a great business to do business with.

Very expensive to mow. Was quoted $150 per mow. lol At those prices I can buy a top of the line John deere riding mower and attachments and do it myself... what a joke!

Update 2 at the bottom.I originally selected Diamond Lawns because of their high reviews and seemingly comprehensive approach to lawn care (trees, grass, etc.). We have also never touched our sprinkler settings and only had Diamond Lawns turn off, turn on, and adjust settings.They are priced relatively high compared to other similar businesses in the area. We have a new build and I wanted to ensure our yard was nice. Hundreds of dollars on average each month, it should be perfect right? Fast forward after a full year (actually, two summer seasons later, and it looks like hot garbage: brown/tan/dead spots everywhere, dying shrubs, etc. In fact, I am pretty sure they did not even put the little sign in the yard after a certain point because it looks so bad.We mow per their recommendations (1-2 times per week) and on their recommended height setting. We have also had many service calls for them expressing our concern with the appearance of the yard. They have sent out sprinkler techs, lawn techs, etc. They actually charged additional money for the sprinkler guy to come out when they are the only ones to ever have touched our sprinkler/irrigation settings. Why should I have to pay an extra $50 for your guy to come fix his work? Easily over a thousand dollars spent, why would I pay extra for anything for you to come fix your own work.For one of the service calls, I had mentioned a dying shrub (last year) and they didn’t call me back for almost 6 months. They stated that the request had got lost or was stuck to some other paper. Yes, that shrub died. I excused this as an easily made mistake. Again, premium service right?...edit for space...We do have a dog, but the dog only is allowed in the back yard, so it is not nitrogen burn from the urine in the front yard. This entire post is only in reference to our front yard, as I take full blame for any spotting in our back yard (due to having a dog).As I stated, multiple “service” calls and they end up diagnosing us with “fungus” and apply treatments, prescribe extra manual watering, etc. Fast forward 2-3 months and the yard looks worse. Come to find out that many neighbors are having issues with cinch bugs and once they applied pesticides for this little pest, their yards improved. How could Diamond Lawns not have some sort of quality control mechanism in place? Or at a minimum...have their service techs report up lawn issues? (Even though I did call multiple times).For this “premium” service to not catch this and allow for a yard to get into this type of condition after a year of “comprehensive” care, it is inexcusable. I will be cancelling service on Monday and seeking a partial refund. Please avoid this business, do the lawn treatment yourself or book another lawn care business. The only positive aspect of the experience is they have an easy payment gateway. I would say that the service/front desk lady was polite and kind, but she is grumpy/short at times. So at least they are sort of professional? If I could give them .5 stars I would.Update 01:A Diamond Lawns Representative stopped by my house today to apologize for my experience and ask if there was anything they could do.while he was kind and this was a nice gesture... I had already chatted with multiple people on the phone at Diamond Lawns and they all refused any sort of a refund. And follow-up service calls/assessments/adjustments were previously charged. Also, many other missed opportunities. I lost confidence of any potential for improving things.Update 02:Ultimately, they cited the lawn issues as being the homeowners’(my) fault. Certain details around me declining certain services were incorrect/false. Diamond Lawns citing that the primary issue was likely a lack of watering, it being a new lawn (it’s 2 years old), damage from hot sidewalks, etc. They left out the fact that they misdiagnosed the issues. I have had multiple assessments by other professionals, and the issues are actually: extremely compact soil, Bill bugs (“cinch” bugs), and fungus.

Diamond Lawns has been doing our lawn care and pest spraying for years. Last year they did a small project which turned out perfect and this year I had a larger project. They gave me a great estimate, started early and finished in two days. Cindys crew was professional, polite and did a fantastic job. I have never had a bad experience with Diamond lawns and trust them completely. I am sorry I dont have all the names to list here but they are a great group of people. They go over and above what they say they will do!!! Thank you everyone!!!

Diamond lawns built a beautiful brick patio and fireplace in my back yard. We love it! In addition, Diamond Lawns makes my yard care worry free. They keep my yard looking great with weekly maintenance. They keep my trees trimmed whenever needed and even removed an entire tree for me this year. My lawn is green and my trees are healthy because of Diamonds professional spraying. My wife hates spiders and she never has to worry because Diamond takes care of that for us as well. And now they even decorated our home with Christmas lights. Always professional and dependable we love our one yard shop with Diamond Lawns!

I could not be happier with my lawn since Diamond Lawns started taking care of it this year. Its a beautiful, thick, deep green all summer long. My trees look great and I do not have any bugs in my house since they started caring for my trees and spraying for insects as well. They are prompt to respond to my requests and easy to work with. I was using another national company before I switched to Diamond and my lawn has never looked better. I feel better supporting a local company rather than a large national one. My subdivision also started using Diamond Lawns this year to maintain the common area and it looks the best it ever has!

My neighbor, Aaron, works at Diamond Lawns and his lawn always looks better than mine! We’ve used Zamzow’s lawn program for years. I asked him to treat our lawn and make it look as nice has his lawn. Since we got on their program, WOW! It’s never looked better. Communication was also incredible!

Diamond lawns has done many projects on my home over the last few years including landscaping and even fixing drainage issues on my property from when my house was built. They do a great job, and if it’s not done to your satisfaction they will come back until it’s perfect! They have also fixed sprinkler issues, they have come with a days notice to fix emergent issues I have had as well as they also take care of my lawn care fertilization and weed control on a regular schedule. They are a more than full service company to fill any home project need! I recommend them to everyone!

I set up an appointment with Jake to meet with Aaron at my property to talk about installing sprinklers. Aaron was not only polite and punctual, but he was also very knowledgeable and helpful. He provided me with tons of information on the best way to stub and trench my yard as well as detailed information in regards to which sprinkler heads, how many valves, and how long to run them for. Diamond Lawns started working on our yard last year. The yard had been neglected for years before we moved here. Almost the whole lawn was thistle, and there were also Dandelion, clover,and wild violets and very little grass. In one season the lawn has been transformed to beautiful green grass and no Thistle or other werds. The technicians have been so helpful about giving watering tips.We had heard it took years to get rid of Thistle but we have been pleasantly surprisedJon and Alice Hoffman

I had the opportunity to work with Diamond Lawns providing them professional photography. I followed their employees around for a couple of hours and was incredibly impressed at the efficiency and speed that they worked. All of the grass was cut in neat lines and their trimming and clean up was perfect. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Diamond Lawns were great! When we needed to move out of our house and our original landscaper fell through, Diamond Lawns came out and gave us an estimate for what we needed done in the front yard. Then, as we were moving in four days, they were able to squeeze us into their work schedule the very next day! The lady in charge, Cindy, was very responsive and all the labor was done professionally. They even weeded a small area that I had completely forgotten about. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

I called on a Monday to get my sprinklers blown out. Both are fed by the house hose with no valves to turn off. They grabbed my info, told me they were busy and they would call me back. Showed up the next day, no call or anything and left a $55 invoice. Very unprofessional and terrible service. I never agreed to any price. When I called there was no good explanation of why this happened or how they could make this right. Said they would drop price to $40. In the past Ive paid at most $25. Would not recommend this company to anyone if this is what they do to generate money.

Just returned to California from a visit to Meridian. The friend I was staying with uses Diamond Lawns. His is by far the best looking lawn in the neighborhood.

My wife called diamond lawns and scheduled an on site consultation for landscaping at our new home that is currently being constructed. We set up a time at 6:00pm on 08/11/16 to meet with a diamond lawns representative, I took off work early, my wife drove in from south Nampa (25 min drive for her) only to sit and sit waiting for the rep that never showed up. We didnt get a call saying they were running late or that they were cancelling, so my wife called and left a message explaining that we had waited nearly 30 minutes and that we would love to know why the consult didnt happen. Diamond lawns never called to even apologize. What an absolutely disgraceful way to run a business and treat another human being, let alone a customer.

They do quality work in a timely manner at a competitive price. I recommend them to all my Treasure Valley friends and family!

I always used and trusted Diamond Lawns. That is until this year. They told me my valve was broken and they could not turn on my water. This is a $750 repair because it is so labor intensive. I watered by hand on my own for the last two months. My son was in the process of creating a make-shift sprinkler system that would hook up to my hose when he decided to check the valve. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it. My water is on and my sprinklers work just fine. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. Make sure you get a second opinion before believing Diamond Lawns. They had every intention of ripping me off with an unneeded repair.

Jake (the owner) is has personally come out many times to the house when Ive hired them on various jobs just to make sure the job is done well. There are few people who really take pride in their work and I can tell this company does.After they helped sod and run sprinkler line on our first job, weve hired them back for everything from pavers pathways, landscape lighting, to flower bed re-dos. They are outstanding to work with, always reliable and prompt to come back and review any job if you have questions. They stand behind their work -- a lost art!

Jake and his team are very knowledgeable, easy to work with, conscientious and very fairly priced for an excellent product. They’ve installed two paver patios connected by a paver walking path, installed and maintained a sprinkling and drip system around our condo and our vinyl fence. Diamond Lawns services my property every week and they are very professional. They will clean up any weeds I may leave out from when I weed the garden, they clean up all the grass off of the deck and sidewalks.They also do Christmas lights. You NEVER completed ANY service in our back yard (where it was NEEDED), rather only did anything to the front yard. - You billed for total sq. footage of lawn, including back.Requested to cancel services multiple times after work was not completed (in our back yard, where it was needed). They supposedly came back and did more work long after I requested to cancel (but they require someone to be home and the dates of service nobody was home).Shady business, stay away!

Se;nt out a new guy to turn on water . Previously no problems. This time I called back as part of my lawn iin different stations were dry. If he had done his job that wouldnt happened. Call another company who fixed what was wrong in those stations paid them did not pay Diamond. Now they refuse to help with the expensive Rainbird timer I bought from them. NOt a reliable company.

I never used their service but was affected by their service. I live in an apartment and a guy came out to test and adjust the irrigation system. I was out in front of my apt on my mobile phone looking at craigslist ads. The guy came around the corner of my apt and I said hello and he ignored me but did look at me right in my eye. He proceeded to adjust a sprinkler head that was about 7ft ahead of me. He turned the head directly at me and walked away which lead to me being sprayed directly in the face and saturating my phone. I said you could have warned me and he turned around, walked toward me looking angry like he was going to punch me and said buddy, I didnt know it was going to spray you. No apology, no sense of remorse. I felt that hebwas having a bad day and looking for a fight. I felt if I responded again he was going to throw a punch at me. The guy had tribal style tattoos and fairly muscular build, I didnt get his name.

Just hung up the phone and had rude manners.

Well they seem to do an ok job, but when they owe people/businesses money they dont stay on top of it... 3k+ and 7 months late, calls monthly ... not good business... not recommended for unprofessional business behavior,,, 0 stars if i could
