There is some wait time, but I prefer talking to someone over doing things on their website. All the folks who have helped me have been wonderful. It can be hard to find the right phone number.

Great service and great rates. You could switch to somewhere like Geico but give it 6 months and they will raise their rates. Ask for Fred because he has been nothing but helpful.

I’m impressed with my local agent Colleen as she makes sure I’m taken care of and she is always available or at a minimum I know I can reach her by text and she responds.Overall Liberty Mutual is just like every other big corporation and doesn’t want you to contact them so talking to someone is impossible. Do everything via the internet and hope you don’t have any questions. But that’s where Colleen comes in. She is the most responsive agent I know. If it weren’t for her I’m not sure I’d be with LM.

Every year they would bump my bill up saying there was nothing they could do about it and that it was normal for the area... Then I got a speeding ticket a year ago. My first and only ticket ever and they tried charging me an extra $400 a year because of it. Thats when I switched. Dont bother

I wish I would have read all the reviews before switching to Liberty Mutual/SafeCo. Like many others mentioned, they are horrible with their claims. They find any way possible to not pay or pay the minimum amount. Our claims adjuster Xavier-Quinn Roman was terrible and very unprofessional. The leak detection company that he hired told us he hasnt been in a home for months, but somehow we were blessed with his presence. He was the only person out of all the contractors, and plumbers, etc who did not wear a mask either. Stay away from Liberty Mutual/SafeCo. If you do happen to have a leak and your claims adjuster is Xavier, I wish you the best of luck, you are going to need it.

Spent over an hour on the phone trying to talk to a real person trying to cancel my deceased brothers policy. Be a cold day before I would every do business with Liberty Mutual.

Awful company. Customer service was disgusting I was hung up on twice. I was told on multiple occasions I was going to receive a callback in 24-48 hours. Never did. WILLL never use this company.

Beware, this insurance company is extremely deceptive and will do everything possible to get out of paying a claim. Horrible experience. We have been with liberty for less than a year and I regret ever switching to liberty as they collect the insurance premiums and then cheat you out of paying a claim. Please, please do you self a favor and get a real insurance company that will partner with you and be there when a washer leaks. Sincerely TShane

Save yourself heartache! Liberty mutual and safeco are the same company! Don’t use either!! I am telling you!!! It has been a nightmare! What should have been simple has turned into a circus that I have had to try and clean up. Nothing has been easy! My claim adjuster is a box of rocks and shouldn’t be working with the public! From them taking 3 weeks to finally say my car that got burnt in a garage fire was a total loss, to when they finally said it was, I am still waiting for payment to be sent to my bank. It has been almost two months now. They have sent the check twice to the wrong people even though I have told them where and gave them the address. To when they ask for info I give it and then he asks for it again. I tell him, I just gave it to you and he says oh! To when I call, no one knows how to transfer me to a person. Even though I have their name and extension number. They said the check was overnighted and it wasn’t. It took three days. And was sent to the wrong place again. Now my gap insurance is closing my case because I have taken too long to file. But I can’t file because my insurance hasn’t paid my bank! And now I have had to make two car payments on the car I don’t even have.Don’t do it!! Travelocity is our home insurance and the day of the fire which was a Sunday, they came out. And we had settlement checks on Wednesday! Three days later! Go with travelocity! You won’t regret it!

They are a little stingy on paying off on repairs for the home they always seem to find away out of paying for roof leaks and bathroom water leaks etc etc the 14-day rule sucks....

DO NOT use Liberty for motorcycle insurance! Their rates are terrible! I have been paying $568/year for insurance on a 96 Goldwing. I called Geico and they gave me a better policy for $189.69. That is 67% savings from Liberty! Then when I called to cancel my motorcycle policy, Liberty wants to charge me another $126 to cancel early!NEVER, NEVER go with Liberty for motorcycle insurance.

For anyone looking for a good, reliable and reasonable insurance company: stray away from Liberty Mutual. After my car was totalled TWO months ago, I still havent gotten my insurance money back, nor have they paid off the remainder of my loan. Its taking them almost THREE months just to get the paperwork processed. Its been an uphill battle to try and get in touch with the person whos helping move my claim forward, even just to check on where we are at. I also purchased a new vehicle, which dropped my insurance payment by 50$, yet they still pulled out the usual amount. And before that, they raised my monthly payment without warning, which I tried dispute. That ended up with me jumping from one call rep to another only to be told I cant get a refund. Seriously, do NOT go through liberty mutual. They will not treat you right.

First the math on the reviews. Add up the stars, divide by the number of reviews and the rating is actually 0.588... not 2.6 as reported by Google.Trying to get a few questions answered about a windshield replacement.It was death by phone system. Never did talk with anyone at Liberty corp. I was sent to a) a third party call center for windshield replacement and that person was very helpful. They directed me back to LM billing to learn about OEM vs aftermarket reimbursement. Started again, calling the local office...sent to the phone loop and landed with a local office clear across the state. Finally called SafeLite (the LM windshield preferred partner) and found someone there who would tell me times, availability, reimbursement policy for LM.Not impressed.One Star is too many.

Very bad service- if you have to file a claim it’s a nightmare! They secretly raise your premiums, then will NOT come through for you when needed. There policies aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on! Hire a useful insurance company—any other company!

Any price saving will be negated by the zero customer service. They are extremely dishonest, and will not communicate in any way. Phone calls, calls to managers, emails: nothing. Once they get your money you are in no mans land.Just do not do it, you will be very sorry.

Worst insurance company EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been out of my home for two weeks now do to a flood tried calling Ernie Whelch this morning, no answer of course as this has been the normal so I email him which normal he gets right back to me be email, asked him where we were in moving forward as the restoration company has been waiting to hear back from them as far as the rebuild part. And he asked who that company even was. WOW!!! it is the company that they approved to come in for the cleanup. I would never recommend this company to anyone........ They also expect us to live in the home mean while my entire kitchen, dining room, and laundry room are torn apart.
