On October 13th 2017, I called Kathy Chambers office to inquire why a payment of $335.68 was not automatically withdrawn as scheduled on the 7th for my auto policy. Rebecca stated that she would call me back and when she did she claimed that the payment date was changed to the 14th and the amount changed to $492.34, this would include credit of $52.51 for removing a vehicle making the original amount $544.85.I did not have the extra $156.66 in that account and it was going to overdraft. I was transferred to Sharon. I told her that I was very upset about never being notified about the change and that I received a bill that reflected the changes that I made and the amount was $335.68. I was so upset, I said Jesus Christ! Something has to be done about this. She then snap and said “ Excuse me, I am offended and I will not talk to you unless you dont talk like that.” I said in a very calm tone “ then you dont have to and hung up on her. I called corporate and was informed that I could change agents but would take a week and in the mean time I would have to deal with my current agent.I called Kathy Chambers office again. I asked for a explanation for the charges and was told by Sharon that I would receive a call back. It was getting close to 5:00 and I called bill pay. I talked to Linda and she was very nice and she suspended my automatic payment for the next day.To date, I have not received any notification by mail, email or a phone call regarding my account. I did not know if my account had been canceled for non-payment or the what correct amount is. I switched to a different company and saved $181.34 a month with the same coverage :). In summery, State Farm was trying to rip me off by raising my rates and change my pay date without my knowledge and I when brought to their attention, they didnt want anything to do with me. I wish Kathy Chambers office extended the same level of service to me as she does with her good review customers.
