Such a wonderful experience all around! Since moving to New Hampshire we have been searching for a caring and professional vet and have had a hard time. The experience today was professional, caring, and knowledgeable. The front desk woman Don was so kind and helpful, and the vet Julie was extremely knowledgeable and caring with both of my dogs. Thank you all so much for taking good care of our pups ❤
Said my dog was in heart failure with no signs of heart failure. Failed to call me when blood work came back because blood work showed no signs of heart failure. Had to call to get that information at the same time she added another week to his medication. Knowing that my dog was not in heart failure. Never informed me of the side effects of the medication I was told to give him. If I didnt believe her when she told me my dog was going to die, he would be dead today because of the medication she prescribed for him. Failed to call me back to evaluate him or to see how he was or anything after another vet I talked to there told me to stop giving him the medication. I was informed that they would let her know and she would get back to me. That never happened. In my opinion she knew he wasnt in heart failure and was willing to sacrifice my dog to save face. If you care about your pet, dont bring them here. If your dog was prescribed vetmedin and his/her health started to decline. I would be questioning that.
Was treated like an absolute on the phone and was denied service bc the vet tech didn’t know what she was talking about and didn’t want to answer my questions. Would not trust them with my cat ever. PeriodQueen.
I am new to the NH area and I luckily found on my second try a great veterinarian... Interlakes Animal Hospital! Get Doctors and a very kind n happy staff. Your pet will be in the hands of people that treat your pet as tho it was there own. Perfect place. I absolutely with no hesitation can highly recommend this place to care for your pets.
Drs. Chris and Julie have been our vets for the past 10 years and are both wonderfully kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. During the first few years of our dogs life, we went to another hospital and it seemed like every visit was with a different vet. They didnt know Mac and he didnt know them and he was always nervous and shaking when he was there. That all ended when we switched to Interlakes. Drs. Chris and Julie knew Mac and he knew them and was far more comfortable there. Sadly, we recently had to euthanize Mac and, as good as they were at keeping him healthy during his 15 1/2 years of life, they were even better at helping us through this difficult time. They understood that we were losing a family member and gave us as much time as we needed with him before and after the procedure. Dr. Chris was a comfort to us at an emotional time and we are truly grateful. Obviously, I highly recommend Interlakes Animal Hospital.
I was extremely impressed with Dr. Bruce and the other staff. My dog is very protective and does not like strangers. She was so good with him when doing his exam. Then she was very thorough and realistic when talking with me about his care and what needed to happen. I wish I had come here years ago and wish every vet was like this.
I love this place! A trusted place finally! I trust them so much but they have earned it. I have met and spoke with lots people that works there whether its the staff the assistants the veterinarians themselves all have been so loving and caring. They treat your pet like thier own.... whats better than that!
I have been taking my pets to Interlakes since moving to the area in 2010, and would not go anywhere else! I have several animals, one with a very complex health situation and have always had excellent care and service from Dr. Chris, Dr. Julie and everyone else on Staff. I also work in rescue and foster and they are always willing to help me out with transient dogs as well when needed. Their care is exceptional, pricing is reasonable. Highly recommended.
Dr. Chris was awesome. He diagnosed my baby girl with Osteosarcoma and was very compassionate and had a heart. Of course nothing is a guarantee, but told me she had about 2-4 weeks left, give or take. I was completely shocked and devastated. She is my baby. I had 2 other dogs at home as well. Sadly, we had to put down our oldest boy, Sparkles who was 15, just 3 days after getting the devastating news about my Bella. Dr. Julie did that...she was good, but I do wish it would have been Dr. Chris. I just didnt get that same feel from her, but she is still good.As far as the staff, never had a problem really, except when Ive called in, (in particularly about my dog who has a very painful cancer), the girl that always answers answers the phone, Dawn-- she needs to learn to be softer around the edges a bit more...when youre talking to clients who are talking about euthanasia/cancer/illness etc. regarding their pet, try to be MORE human-DONT RUSH THEM, DONT give them an attitude- when theyre going through enough...just some friendly advice from one animal lover to the next. It would make all the difference and may just make a client say to themselves WOW, this place really does CARE!
Ive been taking my animals to Interlakes Animal Hospital for 10 years. They have always taken great care of my animals. They are always open to figuring out different solutions and I find their prices reasonable. From my experience if you have a limited budget they can work with you. Ive taken dogs, cats, bunnies and guinea pigs to them. They truly care about they animals they deal with and want the best for them. They make sure to make personal connections with all their patients. Truly a great place and I trust them with my animals.
Dr. Chris and Julie are thr best! Theyve helped our chocolate lab get through a very scary disease with ease and grace.
We have a temperamental long haired Chihuahua that has trouble meeting people for the first time ( hed rather bite you than let you touch him in any way). The staff were able to bend a few rules to allow me to hold him during parts if his exam that kept him much calmer than normally would have been the case . No one was harmed and they were able to shave his leg to treat the sores from his skin infection quickly and painlessly. Terminator is doing so much better now and I appreciate the meds we were able to get for him to take care of the itching. Thanks for being so patient with our baby!
Best spay experience I have ever been through by far! Ive been to two other places in the area where the spays cost 300 to 350 dollars.. in other words: robbing you. At Interlakes they cost about 140 for a basic spay (not including blood work, micro chip, etc) which is a great deal considering the cost of a basic spay at other locations. The incision is closed up with disolvable stitches which worked out perfectly considering the outside sutures are constantly rubbed against things making the cat pull on them, increasing the odds of an infection. Dr Ann Bruce was easy to talk to, very informative and understanding. She was willing to listen to me and was not dismissing or judgemental at all. The vet technicians were great with both my kittens. Very helpful after both of them threw up on the ride, the techs cleaned them off and cleaned up the kennel for me.The only negatives were1) the location which has nothing to do with them. If you want to be on time to an appointment.. LEAVE EARLY. The traffic is ridiculous!2) the front desk women.. ugh. Personalities of fish, very rude, and judgemental. My first time being there, the desk woman asked if I brought in the stool sample. I said I forgot it. She stared at me for a good long 30 seconds before saying you know, kittens really need a stool sample checkedNo, Im just an idiot. Give me a break..Other things were said at different times but Im not going to list everything. Desk ladies are not taking care of my pets but they play a large roles the customer service part of the business.Overall, Im not going to let those desk ladies ruin my experience for my kittens! The vet staff were great!
Good place, theytake care of our little friends.
Very nice people and good service.
Always clean, friendly, and they truely care for your animals.
I have taken all my dogs and cats to Interlakes since they opened. Always caring and reasonably priced. And they truly love the animals. As an animal lover myself, I KNOW that. We had a Min. Schnauzer that had an autoimmune disorder and was having reactions in her mucous membranes that caused ulcers. And in cooperation with UNH pathologists, came up with a treatment regimen that made her life much more bearable until she succumbed to it. A+++ in my book!
Great staff and great place and don’t discriminate on dog breeds I highly recommended it
They were understanding and so caring.
I was impressed with how caring and efficient they were. No guilt trips or pressure just kindness.
They took such great care of my very sick dog and she wasnt even a regular patient there 💕
Loved our first visit here with Dr. Christopher. He was very compassionate and got down on the floor to examine our very sick dog.
Wonderful doctors and staff. They treat pet patients like members if their family.
Always great care for my Collie
Great animal hospital with really caring Vets and staff
They took great care of my baby girl
Very good service and kind people!
Worst place we have ever taken an animal to and we lived in Mexico for 9 years. They totally play you and base their fee on your attachment to your animals and the animal’s value. They use scare tactic’s to push treatments on you that are not needed, quote one price then charge you double the quote. The dog has a blister in it’s mouth, that could be cancer, better get a biopsy, why? If it is cancer the dog will be dead in a month, 6 months later the dog is doing fine. Better get shots for kennel cough, why? The dogs are not kenneled? A cysist on the dogs back, quoted $200-$250 to lance it an clean it out, billed for $425 and it didn’t clean out, in fact it got bigger and became an open sore. New quote $250-$400 to fix it for sure, billed for $800 and the dog was pushed out the door so doped up it couldn’t walk.Visit during the week and you pay for an assistant to look at your animal, visit on the weekend and pay extra becasue the Vet has to look at it. A total con.For a business to run and it needs to be profitable, but don’t expect customers to compensate because it is poorly run and the burden rate is too high and they will certainly not pay extra for a lack of integrity. My wife rescued animals in Mexico for the 9 years we lived there, she worked with Vets, foster support groups and no kill shelters across the US and Canada. She fostered animals, transported them into the US, and worked with the Vets to learn general treatments and even assisted in surgeries once a week. She is not a Vet, but she knows quite a bit Veterinarian medicine, care and treatments. When we moved back to the States we still had 2 mutts, a Mastiff and 5 cats that were all rescues that could not be placed because of one handicap or another. They know this story Interlakes Animal Hospital and they only care about the cash that goes into their pockets. Even the Vets in Mexico were supportive and sympathetic to work she did and worked with her on their charges, medical supplies and food. By the way this was all out of our pockets there was no charitable foundation support her. This is not a good place to take your animals
They were very nice, and the price was very reasonable for a full check up.
These folks are simply the best....and affordable.
