Only thing I didnt see was a free wight bench press but I could of missed it but everything else was great ! Friendly staff clean machines

Nice place to workout but they dont have HIIT H14 elliptical at this location( the best and my favourite) to workout.

I love this place. Its always super clean. Staff is always friendly and willing to help. I cant wait until they extend their hours. Especially on the weekends. I like to workout sometimes after dinner and with them closing early it doesnt give much time to workout.

Its got a decent amount of machines, some of them could ease a little prepare but still serve their purpose. Staff seems nice.

It was a great workout experience! The music was upbeat and the staff were both helpful and friendly!

My go to Planet Fitness in the area. Ive been to the one in Modesto and Ceres but this one by far has the best layout and a nice staff. Wouldnt go to any other one !

When will the gym reopen. So many other local gyms are open again some never closed. I got charged 3 months plus annual fee. I signed up in February 2020... shortly after gym closed then reopened briefly for 2.5 weeks I was charged full for that month, then gym re opened again for another 2 weeks or so and was charged again for the full month again and was not prorated for the previous closure and was charged annual fee... um why am I being charged an annual fee when the gym was closed for the entire year!!!

I received an email today saying the gym was opened now, saw the hours and it said it was going to be open till 9pm. Got there at 7:30pm and it was closed... In the short time I got off the car and walked to the entrance to see if there was any notice, 2 other cars got there assuming the gym was open as well... Very disappointed. Not only are all other gyms open, but I dont even know if the email I got is accurate.. what is accurate? What hours are accurate??? Pretty upset about all this.

Always clean. Love that I can go at anytime day or night to blow off some steam. Always making gains.

After PF being closed on and off for a year they would charge my card each time they would open for a few weeks and of course never prorate even though they’d close down again before the month was over. Irritating. Suddenly they reopened again which I was unaware of until I saw a new charge from them online. I called to have it reversed since I am no longer in a contract, I spoke with Jocelyn from the planet fitness in Merced and she said if I came in I could cancel my “contract” and get reimbursed. When I arrived at the club I talked to Marisela and she REFUSED to reimburse me. She said it was my duty to pay attention to when the gym reopened. She could not have been anymore rude. I asked for corporates number to dispute this charge. She told me if I wanted their number I could GOOGLE IT! I said so you’re refusing to give me the contact information I’m requesting? She said yes.Wow, she is unprofessional and does not belong in customer service.

Great place hasnt been super packed Ive been going for a week though so we will see.

Nice facility. Friendly staff. Lots of work out options. Only two complaints 1. The street parking light have been off and at night you feel like your gonna be murdered on the way to your car. 2. Employees could wipe things down better especially since 85% of people weren’t wiping down their machines.

These gyms are a scam. Will not let you cancel your membership and give you a hard time. I had to call my bank and dispute all charges !!!

Clean, friendly staff, always stocked up on disinfectant, and paper towels. Too bad its only 24 hours on certain days.

I have had my account frozen for 2 months now spoke with the regional manger about my account n got it all taken care of very pleased with this gym just would love them to go back to 24 hours so I can do my work outs there. Very satisfying nosing people know and understand small situations and put the customer before the business. I will be back once this is all under control. I do recommend this gym n all people are very helpful n professional..

This gym was closed for a long time due to Covid 19. I realized the monthly fees for me and my wife were deducted from our account but we did not know the gym was open. We were planning not to go anyway this year. At least a call/text/email from them would be helpful for us to know that they were reopening it so that we could cancel the membership. I tried cancelling the membership using their app but it did not work and I gave up and thought about calling them for it so I was waiting for them to open to call them. When I asked for the refund on the phone, the representative said its not possible. Never going back.

Ive been a planet fitness membership since 2019, however, the service lately has been extremely disappointing. My debit card keeps getting charged. It has been charged on October 17 and November 17, even though Ive made multiple requests that my membership be canceled. I have called numerous times, I was told the manager would call me back, but to no avail. Nobody answers the phone, the membership services dont respond back, and there are no calls returned. Im so frustrated and Im hoping for a response so my debit card charges can be stopped and Im provided a refund.

I moved out of town in December and I have been trying to cancel my membership but in order to cancel I have to go in and cancel it in person, how am I suppose to cancel of the gym is closed..anyone know anyother way to cancel my membership?

Charged me 40 bucks for the 4 months they were closed for covid because that makes perfect sense.

This place is managed by the most un-professional people.Update as of Nov 2nd 2020My account continues to be billed fraudulently by Planet Fitness. I have already cancelled my membership and I’m still being charged despite speaking to management at local gym and corporate customer service. Beware of getting involved with this company. I said it before and I’ll say it again . This company is managed by the most unprofessional people on the planet.

Excellent and clean gym. Love the lighting and spacing between the machinery. There are plenty of cardio machines. And plenty of equipment to have a great workout. Employees are very nice.

Ive been here pretty much every day since it opened. I gotta say I love how clean it is!!! Only complaint is that the line is too long just to check in; it would be nice if there was a checkin line and a sign up line so that us regulars could just walk in and not stand in line for 5 minutes

I am amazed at the great customer service! I am beyond happy with this place. I checked out a gym before coming to this one and I was greeted so well here at Planet Fitness by two women, one named Chia. She took the time to show me around and helped me with my needs and in which membership was best for me and my fiancé. Then as I was signing up the workers here were so friendly to my daughter I definitely didn’t get this service at the gym I previously looked at. Their equipment is so clean and love the environment, they definitely live up to their standards “judgement free zone” by extending friendliness. I do not rate often but when I come across a good place I gotta give them a shout out for being above great standards. Thank you!

I moved from In Shape to PF in Merced and didnt look back. I love that it is a brand new facility with multiples of each machine, staff are regularly walking the floor and cleaning equipment but most importantly it is filled with people of all shapes and sizes. Not once have I ever felt too uncomfortable to go over and use a piece of equipment, this is its biggest draw card imo.

Horrible customer service I asked about the memberships they offered and the employee didn’t even try to helping me out. She also made a ugly face, making me feel uncomfortable.Her eyebrows were very disturbing didn’t make me want to go back.

The bbest gym in Merced! They have tons of elliptical machines, stairclimbers, and treadmills. Love their selection of weights, easy to understand, and plenty to choose from. Love the aqua massage too! Love this gym

Friendly, clean, no drama. Its pretty open during the day, sometimes feels a bit crowded at night (8 pm plus) but I have never had to wait for a treadmill. 24 hour schedule a huge value for busy students!

They never activate the lunk alarm but late at night there are some idiots that need it. Oh 4 stars because you NEED TO CLEAN OUT THE CUP HOLDERS OF NASTY PAPER TOWELS!

I accidentally dropped one of my Bose earbuds which someone thankfully turned in and was later informed by an employee that they did have my earbud. When i went in to pick it up i was informed that they no longer had my earbud !!!!!! even though it was kept in a locked cabinet... they didnt give a hoot that one of their employees helped themselves to it! DO NOT GO TO MERCED PLANET FITNESS THEIR EMPLOYEES ARE THIEVES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I have filed a police report and will be filing a small claims action!

The location was just as described, nice people, nice environment, ect. The problem I had was that it was much more focused on entry level workouts(which makes sense). If youre looking for a place with a non-assisted bench/squat rack, or even a place to deadlift--this isnt the location for you. Which sucks, I wanted a place to DL at 2 am.

Ive always loved PF. Im comfortable working out and dont feel a lack of confidence when I come in. The staff is nice and very hospitable. Ive gone almost every day since they opened... I hope that PF Merced sticks around. I like it a lot.

Made me feel very uncomfortable today while working out pulling me to the side. Only at this gym they are uptight about a small bag I had carrying around with my water bottle. Forced me to store it in the locker. That bag has been to at least 30 other locations only here they were uptight. Is a cute small bag with zero interference to others. I live in San Jose, and have never received a complaint about my small bag in any of the gyms in the Bay Area. I have more than a year with a Planet Fitness membership, and always traveling around the country trying many of them. Currently visiting Merced and noticed their bad customer service, too. They aren’t friendly at desk when asking for Black card Spa services (I.e, their bitter face could improve). The one star is because they do have a clean facility and nice equipment given is a new location.

Tried signing up with a credit card and I was told that I couldn’t sign up with a credit card or cash. I was told that they would only process a membership with a direct checking account on file.Disappointing since I don’t have a checking account.

They do not reward Black card member immediately vs sign up as $10 then upgrade to get $50 food and beverage gift card.
