I have been going to this office for more than 15 years. Never once have I had a bad experience or a recommendation I did not feel comfortable proceeding with. Everything is always explained thoroughly and thoughtfully. I highly recommend using them if you are looking for a new dentist!

A great office and surprisingly pleasant way to start the morning.Thanks to shelter-in-place I am slowly tanning while I wait for the OK to enter various offices. Thankfully the wait here was both short and efficient.Jackie at the front desk is indispensable on your way out for setting up the followup appointments. On your way in she radiates a smile that will settle the most ravaged nerves.The cleaning was really well done. I like to know what the specialist sees in my mouth and she was very good at explaining what I was doing right (very little it turns out) and what I was doing wrong with my toothbrush and flossing.Once finished Debra has all the patience in the world to handle your insurance, billing questions, payment, and angst. Her delightful personality really helps when problems with insurance or payment schedules get the better of you.

I went for a cleaning and she was very attentive and thorough.

Very Covid safe - out door waiting, no aerosols, minimal contact with staff - just the hygienists and the doctor. It also appears that there are hospital grade HEPA filters in EACH room. The practice has taken my safety into account and I felt safe and well cared for.

Dr. Hoffman and his whole team are all super sweet! They make you feel very comfortable. They always ask if there’s any questions before they begin with a procedure. But the best part is they try to get to k ow you and ask about you, and Dr.Hoffman sure remembers those conversations.

Samantha did a nice job of cleaning my teeth and explaining the modifications to the procedure due to COVID-19 concerns.However, when I made the appointment a few weeks ago, I specifically asked for Lisa, my preferred hygienist. After finding out that she was on maternity leave, I was told that Mary was coming to help periodically and that I could schedule a time with her. The only reason that I agreed to the date/time was because it was a day that Mary would be there and the receptionist was well aware of it.I was reminded of this appointment three or four times, including a phone call the day before, asking about my health. I was not notified that Mary would not be cleaning my teeth, even when I walked in to the office before going to the exam room.When I questioned the receptionist, she took no accountability, did not apologize and responded that I could reschedule. Is it up to the patient to confirm that a request for a specific hygienist will be honored? Are the patients expectations valued?

First time visitor and I had the best experience ever. I saw Scott for a consultation and before we got into my dental needs, he took his time to get to know me and was very personal and felt like I was talking to a friend. He instantly spotted what my concerns were and assured me that we can correct some issues I have. He also was considerate of the distance his office is in relevance to my home and is accommodating my time to utilize it to the fullest by scheduling things on the same day vs. having me return several times. Im looking forward to making this my official place to be for all dental needs - after many years of trialing different offices.

I have been a very satisfied patient of Scott Hoffman DDS for 35 years for all dental work, cleanings, crowns and even veneers. Dr. Hoffman continues to remain state-of-the-art with all his services and is proactive and communicative with his patients regarding potential or developing problems. When I moved to the Peninsula as a young professional in 1985, he came highly recommended by a professional colleague and friend. I have never looked elsewhere. I have been seeing Dr. Hoffman since 2004. He is the best dentist you could ever find, very patient-centered. For example, when my crown didnt feel quite right to me, he had it remade immediately even though it wasnt made incorrectly! He understood that I didnt like the way it felt. It was too smooth and I like to have some ridges! It is a pleasant office with windows opening out into the garden and the staff is helpful. Highly recommended.

Scott Hoffman, DDS is not only the best Professional Dentist on the Mid Peninsula, he is a master conversationalist. His engaging and positive attitude makes it delightful to visit his office. Dr. Hoffman is a good listener and interested in what is going on with his patients lives. Even though busy, he takes the time to communicate. He has a great sense of humor and is not afraid to use it.

Great staff, led by Dr. Hoffman who has a tremendous amount of experience and gives you the best options for any teeth issues you may encounter. The front office staff is always friendly and kind. My teeth are done by Lisa who is a pleasant sight and makes you feel very comfortable and at ease when youre getting your teeth done. She is up to date with current events and doesnt talk dentistry the enitre time which can get boring, but rather current movies, events, and pop culture which is always fun. I’m a physician myself and I totally understand what difference it makes for a patient when your doctor takes more or less time with you in the room!! He gave some reasonable recommendations and answers questions thoroughly!Ok! Now to Eva ! The dental hygienist! She’s the best I’ve ever had ! She’s so caring! Takes her time and so patient ! I was not their easiest patient as I have a very limited mouth opening but she was able to clean my teeth pretty well and was able to even take xrays with the significant limitations I had. She was giving me appropriate breaks in between cleaning so I don’t wear my jaw off. She really is great in what she does. So thank you everyone in the office ! You made visiting a dentist less scary ;) totally recommended to everybody.

As always, I received consistently great service from the clinical staff and have been a patient for 30 years. The front desk staff needs some training on communication skills and tact!! I had a rude and embarrassing confrontation from the receptionist handling billing on my way out of the office.

I was a long term patient with Scott Hoffman, me and my entire family.My prior dentist was Dr. Tarr and he retired. I think I was in late high school or early twenties by then and Scott came in and took over. Both are excellent dentists and wonderful people in persona.My folks and sister still go to Scott, but many years ago (About 10+ years) I had to stop going to Scott because I had to leave my job and lost my dental ins. I obtained dental ins a few years later, after leaving my job, that isnt covered with Scott.My dentist is really far away and becoming less available. I recently went back to Scott due to this and other reasons. He found things, like a fractured tooth, not detected by my other dentist and a few other issues. I will be retaining Scott and his services.His entire cast and team are dynamite. So friendly, on it and helpful!Hey Scott??? Its good to be back!MK

Usually people get anxiety when going to their dentist. Dr Hoffman and team are so professional, friendly, and fun that I actually ENJOY visit to the dentist! They crack me up!
