This business was referred to me by a colleague and I am absolutely impressed with the warmth and professionalism of the staff. They immediately made me feel like I was at home. They quickly and thoroughly evaluated my vehicle. They took time to explain to me what needed to be fixed and their prices are beyond fair. They gave me options and sat down with me to problem solve. Search and found Tracys Foreign cars. I called and spoke with Sam explained to him my situation, he helped me get my car stared I was able to drive it to his shop. In spite of him being super busy he took the time to fixed my Car and saved my vacation. Sam, Thank God for people like and your staff. They treat the consumer with the same hospitality you would receive at Chick-fil-A.Walk-in with the right attitude, and you will get the right price. Dealt with Sam the entire time, very informative and patient with my whole back and forth ordeal. My neighbors knew when i was getting ready to leave home because of how loud my car was, new installation of my compressor and honest labor charge for my gear linkage was respectable. I am satisfied that my car runs smoother than it has in over a year, and sounds better than it has in over 3 years. This was the first major work I have ever had on a vehicle and i dont feel like i was giving the run around, but was made a priority.

Sam the owner is extremely rude and disrespectful. Would not let me finish my sentence and explanation of the problems on my car. But constantly kept interrupting me. Most companies give you a estimate and price on how much it costs to diagnose and fully check your car....but instead he gave me sarcasm and bad attitude. If you want respect.....you wont get it here. I do NOT recommend this company to anyone.

If you have a foreign car that needs work, this is the place you need to bring it to.Sam (the owner) and his staff are the only mechanics I have ever met who I feel actually know and understand their trade. It says a lot that the owner is there and present every day and he isn’t afraid to turn a wrench.This place is an asset to the city of Memphis.

The place I normally take my Volvo could not fit me in. They recommended Tracys. I felt like they were honest and did a good job. the repair was done in one day and at the price quoted and there were no problems. If another shop is comfortable with you that is always a good sign.

I have been taking vehicles to Tracys Foreign Auto for the last 16 years. My very first experience involved a referral from a co-worker when my a/c went out and I was given a $600 estimate at a different car repair shop. I took my car to Tracys and it cost me...wait for it....$20 to fix. Yes $20. Sam and the rest of the staff are always super informative, friendly and honest. As a woman that knows little about cars, it is a good feeling to know I have a mechanic I can trust. My recommended auto repair shop for life!

Spoiler alert, this story doesnt have an happy ending. My experience was less than desirable, for a number of reasons. I spoke with Sam the owner on several occasions before deciding to take the car in for repair. He informed me that he would be going out of town. So, if possible, bring the car in before then. My schedule would not permit me to bring it in before he left. But, I specifically asked if I should wait until he returned, and he assured me that wasnt necessary. My wife dropped the car off on Monday. It took me until Wednesday to even get a price for the repairs. The price changed over and over. They would not answer the phone when I called after Wednesday. My wife had to call to even speak to somebody about the car. She was given an $1800 price quote, that changed after speaking with Sam. For two days, I spoke with Sam, while on vacation, and not the shop. Thats how badly things were handled. He actually tried to make excuses for their obvious failure to the point of arguing with me about not bringing the car when I was told. He decided to give me a deep discount for the inconvenience which was almost $3000... My regular mechanic, Dr. Benz in olive branch quoted a price of $2600 for the same work and no deep discount, WOW. Needless to say, I picked up my car and paid $700+ for the work that was done. This was on Friday. What a waste of my time and money. The car has been fixed by Dr. Benz with no issues. Dropped it off on Thursday and pick it up the next day. Buyer beware. My advice is try Dr. Benz. He is professional and most of all honest.

Well before I even took my bmw up there to the business I wanted to make a kall so I make a customer kall to Tracy’s shops & the employees was rude & they told me it’s was going cost $107 just to diagnose my transmission. That was not right!!!!!!!!! Scammers

Owner answered the phone ...soo i am sure he is a busy man but he took the time to talk to me in detail about all my options . and he was very intelligent and forthright about my situation and i sincerely appreciate the extra time he took with me even though his answer was not necessarily going to give him business! thank you !!!

Fair, honest an get the job done right

Ive been taking my cars to Sam at Tracys for 16 years. There are no doubt other quality auto repair shops in town, but I have no interest in taking a chance and giving any of them a try. Sams prices are fair . . . the quality of his work is beyond reproach . . . and he does exactly what he says hell do . . . period.

Fast and HONEST service. I highly recommend! Its so hard to find a garage that doesnt take advantage of you in your time of need. They are my go-to for every need from now on.

Sam at Tracys was a pleasure to work with, after having a really negatve experience with Memphis Motor Werks I brought my E90 BMW to Tracys and they did a fantastic job for a fair price! A+ all the way thanks guys!

Sam and his staff go above and beyond always. We have used them for well over 10 years with no complaint. I never hesitate to recommend Tracys!

Three things really put me off about Tracys. First, and most importantly, I was told on a phone call with someone at Tracys that he would call me after he had diagnosed what was wrong with my car and give me a price quote to fix it before he actually made the necessary repairs. This did not happen, and I simply received a call from Tracys stating that the work had been done and that I needed to come pay and pick up my car. Second, when I called to check on the progress of the diagnosis of my car, the Tracys employee on other end of the call treated me very rudely. Finally, they used a much more expensive part in fixing my car than I would have authorized, so my bill ended up being much higher than it needed to be. Three strikes and youre out.

Weve been taking our cars to Sams for almost 15 years.Never had a complaint, never went unsatisfied.Those guys are worth every penny.

Good honest work fair price

This is Sam, the owner of Tracys Foreign Car Service.In reponse to Mr. Daniels review of my business Iwould like to respond: Yes there were mistakes madeby my staff while I was on vacation and yes Mr. Danielswas asked, not told, to bring his car in before I left. Ido understand if he was not able to do so. The shop wasextremely busy the week Mr. Daniels brought his car in.He was correct that he and his wife should have beencalled and the phone should have been answered whenthey called. Both of these problems have been addressedand hopefully this will not happen to any other customersin the future. As for the price changes, I gave Mr. Daniela price over the phone before the car had been looked at.The price was for one rear air shock. I personally made amistake by not checking the aftermarket part. Both rearair shocks must be replaced or the car will ride uneven, sothe price was different than the quote over the phone whichmade the price higher. Mr. Daniel also asked us to checkfor a noise in the front suspension, the ball joints were verybad and needed to be replaced. After replacement we foundthat the sway bar links were bad and needed to be replaced.Sometimes when working on cars one thing may need to bedone before you can tell if there is another problem. Thisshould have been conveyed to Mr. Daniels and I do notbelieve it was.At this time all I can do is apologize and try to make surethese things do not happen in the future.ThanksSam Rudd

Iknew somerhing was up with that man cuz he to mean for no reason....I didnt deserve my car to b messed up more just because ididnt want to leave it over the weekend if he wasnt going to start working on it he told me iwas late at 9am n there was a couple cars ahead of me so he wouldnt b able to get to my car igo up there n my car was in the back he got mad because icaught him in his lie threw my car back together free and said dont come back iwould have never came back up there if he would have told me he went ahead and start working on it..Hopefully it rides until ican get it to another shop...That was so lowdown

This man has a horrible attitude when u want to ask questions regaurding how long u will b without your car... Iwent in for diagnostics but later i was told that he wouldnt b able to get to my car today iwent up there for my car to bring back monday since he is closed over the weekend but he told me they had started breaking it down before ileft he told me iwill put your car back together and you find somewhere else to go... I get my car all of a sudden my charger part doesnt work anymore and he took the screws out of my armrest..Y try to b petty like that?.. I am very upset and disappointedThe lady is very nice though...
