All insurance companies are fine until you need to file a claim. We had a hail storm in our area and our roof was damaged. We had a roofing company come out and check over our roof and he showed us where hail damage was; you cant see the all the dents from the ground and he was feeling the roof for soft/weak spots as well as some that could be seen. We had an inspection done by Allstate and they said zero damage to our roof. Every neighbor around us had their roof replaced because of hail damage. Must be a miracle that even though so many houses in our subdivision in every direction from ours was damaged, ours was spared. Hallelujah!

Not a fan. They have not been willing to help me figure out options to lower my rates and even bother to call when rates were changing. They didnt blink an eye when I called to say I was changing companies. Really shop before you buy insurance here, I promise you can beat this agencies pricing.

I contacted this Allstate office for a Home & Auto quote after moving to Memphis in Oct. 2015. Policies would be in excess of $600,000 for both, as our home has an approximate market value of $525,000 and (2) autos with an estimated value of $75,000. A proactive, diligent, and customer-oriented agent would likely want the business and the premium that goes with it. But I guess not in the case of this agency. It appears to be a very small operation with a young, limited staff. I was guaranteed a quote within 24 hrs. and it took (5) business days. I also received an automated reply from the Agent thanking me for my inquiry - she would be contacting me soon. It never happened. Totally unacceptable by my standards. I received quotes from over (20) agents including Nationwide, Travelers, Liberty Mutual, Progressive, and TN Farmers, all provided through my corporate relocation service. All the quotes I received from these insurance companies were less in premium and more competitive than Allstate, with far superior customer service upfront. If you receive bad service and are treated poorly when shopping for insurance, imagine how you will be treated in the event you ever need to make a claim. Scary thought. I discussed the situation with our relocation service provided by Hobson Realtors and was told Allstate is not on their Recommended List. No Thanks, Angie.

Happy with Allstate

I unfortunately can not leave zero stars. I want to thank the staff for always being helpful and handling my questions I am having my auto insurance canceled after 16 years with Allstate and at least half with this office. I have NEVER seen or spoken with the agent. I have sadly had 6 claims since 2015. Only two were my fault when I rear ended someone and another when my car rolled forward into another vehicle The others involved a deer, an object on the interstate at night, me being rear ended which had to be settled in court and another vehicle hitting me in a parking lot. The ~$14,000 paid during this time is significantly less than what I have paid in premiums. More proof that using insurance is harmful .... despite paying for it.

I cannot speak highly enough of Angie Hooten-Hughes and her team. My husband and I have multiple insurance policies. We had Angie take a look at them and we found out that we were underinsured.
