Great, so happy to see my package is at this center. It’s the worst ! Forget first class

It’s a joke...also i can’t review it as ZERO STARS! The only FIVE star reviews that this place gets is probably from the New Hires. I’ve lived at my residence for 15 yrs now on every occasion they are late with our packages. I absolutely dread seeing this place on my tracking info. It’s like the kiss of death ☠️ For packages. BEWARE ! Hopefully someone will step in and fix this place one day, otherwise they should rename it “The Void” .

My packages always stay here for days (if they arent lost) and I live 10 minutes from there. Unfortunatelyits not open to the public, the only 5 star reviews are from people who work here, they even say so in the comments. If you see you package enter this processing facility just expect your order to be delayed.

Its unfortunate that i have to leave one star, as id rather leave 0. i had a package ship to me from texas in the middle of september. the last scan was october 22, and after a week of no updates, i filed a claim. i put in the claim that my preferred method of contact was email. so, of course, i receive a phone call from them. im asked to give it another week or so, and if i dont receive it, to call back. a week later, still no update, so i call again. once again, im asked to give it a few more days. after quite a few repeats and minor variations of this conversation, i decide that theyre not going to do anything, so i keep an eye on my tracking number. now, 5 months after the last scan, my tracking number blanks out. thankfully, the website where i placed my original order has the full tracking history. i filed a new claim, to which they responded that the item had never actually shipped and deemed it resolved. i replied with the tracking information attached (from a screen shot), and they still insist that it wasnt shipped. i received a few phone calls from one of the reps telling me that she had no way of tracking my package and asking why id waited 5 months. i had to reply to her via email 3 times before she finally understood that i did not want to be contacted by phone. she is now telling me that because its been 5 months, theres nothing further she can do, and that my package is considered lost. this is unprofessional and unacceptable, as i was told multiple times by the postal service to wait and give it a few more days or call back in a week. the only saving grace is that this item was for me, and not time sensitive, but it doesnt negate the fact that this package should have been received MONTHS ago, and theyre telling me sorry, we cant help you. this entire location needs to do better!

Everything was OK I drove in with the truck dropped the trailer the 8th for data he proceeded in helping me he open up the truck took the Seal and then he directed me to other trailer was he was polite and generous very good And showing me where The trailer was so I can take a back-to-back page

I had a very important package sent from only 150 miles away and it evidently never made it of the trailer and into this facility but was instead transferred to another trailer and driven to Miami Florida where it was scanned .. So lets look at this MADNESS .A package leaves from 150 miles to its destination .Is driven to LI NY.Is then offloaded, transferred to other vehicle and driven WHAT ?...1,200... MILES ....

Awesome Distribution Center!! My First Class Packages and some media mail packages one of my USPS Retail ground packages and one of my USPS Priority Mail Packages got processed there!!! They were not lost! This is an awesome place!

I’ve had an extremely important package for my business sitting at this distribution plant for over a week with no update on why or when it will be delivered. When you call either nobody answers or you get disconnected.

MID Island is where packages go to die...I ship 150 - 200 packages a month. USPS manages to lose 2-3 a month, and they almost always get lost here.

Im going help you guys out and let you know that 11720is EAST of your location and not west so kindly adjust and not send packages to METRO NY DISTRIBUTION CENTER because they will just send it right back to you, delaying the delivery, as has happened countless times. Please get better.

They really dont know how to do their jobs at this place. I rarely write bad reviews but I am so annoyed with them. My package was supposed to be delivered days ago, but thanks to their inability to do their job correctly I wont be receiving it when needed to finish an order. They sent my package to Huntington Station for no reason. Then Huntington sent it back to them and they took 2 days to even send it to the correct post office.

Place is a junkyard... Package has been stuck here and a lot of themget lost here. They tell their workers to give them good reviews so they cover up the all bad realistic ones.

The efficiency of the USPS is awesome. All those pieces of mail getting to people!

Great customer service!!! Doreen was so helpful in making sure an envelope with money accidentally dropped with other mail was returned to us! She stayed in touch with phone calls to make sure this issue was resolved. What a great person, a BIG thank you to all for helping us retrieve that envelope & happy holidays to all. Goes to show that good values in people do still exist even in today’s financially difficult times

What a douche bag. Just trying to find out about a package that has stopped at the Mid location for 2 days and no further info on it. I understand its the holidays and where all busy, but a simple let me see and try to help....... no way nothing we can do. And the postal service wonders why there in trouble

Lost a package and it was definitely at this processing center! I’m thinking it might have been stolen. Make sure you put insurance on whatever your sending out if it’s worth anything. Horrible service!!!!!

I paid additional for next day without a guarantee it would arrive the next day, however, tracking number states its been at this location for 2 days. Actually, I spoke with 2 different people on the phone. They were both very nice and Im awaiting a call back about my parcel. Ill see how long that takes; parcel was mailed on Monday, expected delivery day was Tuesday. I gave it another day, telling the receiver expect it on Wednesday, today is Thursday......still not received....SMH

Postal service on LI is horrible. According to the USPS all first class letters mailed from Long Island to another Long Island address are to be delivered in 1 day. That is rarely ever the case. I have received letters over a week after being mailed. I could have walked across the island faster than the mail is delivered here.

Worst experience ever! Paid $22 for 1 day express on Wednesday morning. It is already Saturday and the tracking status shows the package sitting at this distribution center for two days now! Called and filed a claim and was told it will take another 2-3 business days before I will get a call back! They said they do not know why it hasn’t shipped out yet, and that someone “made a mistake”. Completely useless and a waste of money paying for express shipping!

Lost mail with return receipt here. After weeks of opening a case and even checking Atlanta for shreds of my mail the final conclusion was that the machine ate my mail. This place sucks.

Much to my chagrin I discovered this is not a USPS Post Office where you can buy stamps and send packages from lol. Im sure there are some nice people working there sorting and processing our mail, parcels and packages to make sure they get to us as quick and efficiently as humanly possible tho :)

Worst distribution site ever! They never answer the phone! package is constantly pushed back a day. Even though after checking the tracking number it says its on its way.

Its only a processing center for priority mail, first class mail and express mail.

My package was moving along just fine and in a timely manner until it got to this god-forsaken place. What is the point in paying $6.95 for two-day delivery if these worthless people keep my package for days? Im never ordering anything from New York ever again for fear it might end up in this worthless place. Is this place run by useless union employees who dont care about there job and only want to pick up a pay check.

I live in holtsville and often the case when i order something from a company in sayvile ect (which is a 10min drive) USPS has to over complicate things and send it out to Nassau before it can come back to suffoulk. Quite nom efficient if you ask me.

They processed my invite to a baby shower to be held on 7/29 on 6/26. Received the invite on 8/21.

This is the processing facility for Long Island NY. First class package go through here. Unfortunately it should be renamed the Roach Motel, packages check in but they dint check out! Either there is a machine in there that eats packages, the security is lax and someone is coming in and stealing these packages or there is a postal employee stealing. Anyway you cut it, its horrible.

They wont accept dropshipment at night shift, even if they have time and space. Other then that easy rig parking and clean restrooms.

Managers and supervisors are so dumb and over paid for nothing. The plant manager is taking this place down. Go take all your people and get the hell out., the employees should run this place. The public should know what really goes on here.

Was reading elsewhere, this place is understaffed for the amount of mail they receive I just hope my item gets 2 the recipient, its a rare item. That is why I sent it certified with restricted delivery

If I could give this facility no stars, I would. If you need to mail items that require proof of delivery, use UPS or FedEX.
