They took care of me and my car. I was trying to avoid going to a dealership to get my fender replaced and some more cosmetic repairs because they’re always overpriced and find unnecessary things to charge you for, so I did some searching for a small business car shop and found Capital City Collision and spoke with Steve, the owner. My repair was a little behind because one of the parts he got sent did not meet his standards, so he ordered me a brand new one from the dealership. I didn’t mind waiting an extra day or two if it meant I was getting quality work done from someone who takes pride in what they do. It looks great!

Had a frame refurbish done here. Difficult to confirm the welding. They did a decent job as far as I can tell. Before and during pictures would have been helpful. Price was accurate to what they quoted, but wasnt cheap, felt like it was high, given that certain spots revealed the primer hadnt even been fully coated over, there was paint on one of the tires, and it didnt look like the frame had been welded I was expecting a more thorough refurb. They had the car for a week and finished when they said they would. Tow chain rings on back needed welded, and while not specifically mentioned in initial quote, it would have been a nice touch and a feather in their cap to take the 10min to go the extra mile to weld them and in making it feel like a job well done. Would have rated higher if they had provided clearer proof of what was actually done, and gone the extra mile. Id give 3.5 stars if I could.

Life savers! I have taken multiple vehicles here and they have brought them back to life, always at a surprisingly low price. I would not take my car anywhere else for body work!

My truck had rusty frame rails in the front. I called them on a Monday, drove by on Tuesday for them to look it over and got an estimate. They explained exactly what they would do to fix the rust and the estimate was very reasonable. It happened that could start on it the next day and promised it on Friday. I picked up my truck on Friday afternoon as promised, for the amount they quoted and the repair looked amazing. They cut out all the rust back to good metal, prepped the area to prevent future rust, welded in new material and finished it in a way that it never looked repaired. I highly recommend them and plan on having them do other work for me.

I called in to get my driver door fixed dropped my car off on Tuesday and got it back on Friday. He was very professional and was able to fix my door I would highly recommend coming here for all you body work needs

They got my car fixed even better then I expected with the body work I couldnt have been happier with how the car looked after they put my car back together.

I had a minor accident recently where someone backed into my older model sedan and caused some body damage. Steve and his team were great to work with. Steve responded to texts promptly. The work was done quickly and efficiently and when they were done, you couldnt tell there was ever any damage. Everything was smooth and despite being a older model, the color matching looked great. Sunday I went to Capital City Collision stressed out because my front bumper fell off my 2017 Honda Accord. Right away Steve and Wingo stopped what they were doing and immediately repaired my car. I couldn’t believe how fast and well done of a job they did. They are so nice and funny and just down to earth people and do amazing car work. Found these guys by a wing and a prayer, and what a blessing they all were!! I grew up outside of Atlanta, in the country and the best thing about that, was everybody knew where to go for different services. You always knew you would be treated well.. Since being in Richmond for the past 20 years I had not been able to recapture the quality and trust that you need with a great auto mechanic and body shop. However, that is no longer the case ! .The guys at Capital City Collision are extremely knowledgable, professional and their work cant be matched.Steve the owner, Sam, Mark, and Tim went above and beyond to make my car look brand new and make me feel at home . Went in with the front bumper falling off. Going here was a all around great experience. They came out and started fixing it immediately. They were super nice, helpful, and fast. The repair was also alot cheaper then I expected. 10/10 definitely recommend.

I found Capital City Collision & Frame to be close by, and after reading the great reviews, I decided to call them. I didnt expect anyone to answer on a Sunday, but to my surprise, they did. Mr. Robinson told me to come to the shop right then, he would be there for a while. I met him, he assessed the repair I needed, and we agreed on a date shortly after to have the work done. Mr. Robinson was so professional, he put my mind at ease, and I went home feeling very confident I had made the right choice. I brought my car in as we discussed. Mr. Robinson was kind enough to take me back home!!!! Not only that, he fixed my car that same day, and brought it back to me!!! And the price!!! It was so absolutely reasonable I was pleasantly surprised!!! I was looking for a shop to repair a chip on the hood of my car that started to rust.After reading reviews, I gave Capital City Collision & Frame a call and met up with Steve Robinson to take a look at my car.Steve noticed the other chips from rocks that had hit my car and offered to buff & repaint my whole hood, & buff my lenses for an extremely reasonable price. I would have been dumb to turn the price down. I told Steve I needed to have my car back by Monday for work . I dropped my car off Friday at noon and he contacted me early Saturday to let me know my car was ready. Steve & his employees did a fantastic job; my car looks brand new!!! I would definitely use Capital City Collision & Frame again!!

I called the shop on a Saturday morning (most auto body shops are closed on the weekend) because the previous night I accidentally pulled my front bumper off. The owner said they could fix it. I arrived about 45 mins later and they immediately got to work on it. They fixed my bumper in a timely manner and the cost was extremely reasonable. I even had a conversation with the owner about his family and business. I would recommend this shop.Thanks again for saving the day for me.

Steve and his crew did amazing work and worked around my insanely tight schedule doing almost all of it over the weekend and got it done on time as promised for a great price. If I ever need more work done I will definitely be going back to them.

A deer hit my husbands truck so we took it to capital city collision to repair. The owner was super responsive and all was good. A couple days after we took our truck in, geico came out to do the estimate and provided to Steve. However, a couple days after that Steve had some complaints with the estimate so geico came back out to add a supplemental estimate. During that time Steve wouldn’t work on the car until the supplemental estimate was provided. Geico said they have never run into this issue before as Steve had more than enough to start working on the truck. Nonetheless two weeks after he had out truck I asked for an ETA on when the truck would be ready. He said he would check to see when the parts were coming in. About 30 minutes later I receive a call from geico saying Steve called him and refuses to work on the truck and be rushed as it is too big of a job for him. Mind you, he never had the professionalism to call me and say this. So now we were stuck starting all over after paying for a rental for 2 weeks. This was beyond unprofessional and I highly would NOT recommend taking your car for repairs to Capital City Collision unless it is a small fix.

Capital City Collision was a Blessing from God! They stayed in constant communication with me. After my accident I was a complete mess, they were patient and understanding. When I had a car issue a month after my repair, they drove almost an hour to my home and picked up my car. It turned out to be an old battery, but they didnt hesitate to come. Excellent customer service. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! Im a customer for life!

I cannot more highly recommend a collision shop than Capital City Collision and Frame. This collision shop came very highly recommended to us but our insurance did not send us to him as he wasnt in their network. The owner contacted our insurance company directly as he knew he had the machinery to fix my car and we decided to use him despite the insurance not guaranteeing the work. My vehicle was repaired beautifully and the owner went out of his way to make sure every little detail was taken care of with my car. He followed up several times after the car was repaired to make sure it was running well and we were satisfied. We are fans for life and will recommend the place to anyone and everyone!
