Our old water heater stopped working and I called first thing in the morning about getting a new one. Everyone on the team from the person who answered the phone to the installers (Scott M. and Zach) were very knowledgeable and professional throughout.They were able to come out and install the new water heater the same day I called. One of the existing water lines above the unit that they hadnt modified during the install started leaking after the new one was in place, but they immediately noticed the problem and were able to fix it before they left. The new water heater has been working great with no issues since then.

Just bought a house here in Canton and surprise there was problems with the boiler. Winter is the wrong time to have heating issues. Even though I need a new boiler, Dale was able to repair this one to get me through the winter. He was professional, honest, gave me options, and was reasonable compared to other like companies in the area. I called a few places in the area.Becky is also wonderful. She is amazing and I love working with her! I must say the program they offer for a monthly fee is a big savings in the long run and worth the price!Forget wasting your time calling the other people around like I did. Ive did business with this company for over 20 years, they installed systems in many new homes for me as I was a builder and I trusted them. Since I retired I have used them for service. 1 furnace I was told needed replaced is still working and most recently on my own home that they did the install on 21 years ago I called another company to inspect the A/C which has never performed to my satisfaction and that I had checked by them a few years ago and was told I needed a new unit mine wasnt worth fixing. Elsass Heating and Cooling was here today completely checked my A/C system. It was discovered that the return air volume was insuffecient and was corrected. The system I was told needed replaced needed no repairs and was actually improperly installed by them. I can not imagine the money I wasted over the last 21 years with a unit improperly installed It is working better than it ever has now. Do not buy the story Its old, parts are not available or its not worth repairing

Only thing going good for this company is the peoples personality... Came to my house looked at my furnace... Didnt repair anything and charged me 74.00 basically for a phone call... Swore my furnace needed replaced tried getting me to finance a new 1 for 3000.00 which the only thing my old one needed was a blower and a element... I will never try to do business with shanklin again.

George came to do our semi-annual furnace/ac check and discovered a crack in our heat exchanger. He gave us a quote for a replacement furnace (ours was 19 years old) and gave us options with regard to price and extra services (air scrubber, new humidifier, duct cleaning, etc.) He was pleasant but not pushy to sell us what we may not want or need. He was able to schedule a furnace replacement the very next day. I always enjoy working with Shanklin because their representatives are professional, polite and informative. George was no exception.

You guys are great! Super professional and knowledgeable. They picked up the pieces from a previous shoddy install, where the previous company repeatedly blamed me for my system freezing. When in fact, they just werent educated enough to find the problem. Dale found it within seconds! The technicians were here working on my lines for quite a while, and they remained at the quoted price for me even though the job lasted longer than expected. Also, the guys cleaned up after themselves (seems like no big deal, but Ive had a lot of problems with this type of thing before). Lastly, I was informed of a possible gas leak in my basement. I called the gas company today, and it turns out the technician was right. So I cant say thank you enough!!!!

Amazing from start to finish. My husband and I are sick and our heater went out. We finally got to the point of needing help, dreading an emergency fee. George immediately called me back after we left a message and was here within 20 minutes. He had everything fixed within a half hour from entering to leaving. Shanklin did everything they could to win my business! I called several businesses that were scheduling weeks out, and Shanklin, even with a full schedule, called their crew to see if I could fit in their schedule. I had Shanklin put in my heating and air conditioning last year, This spring I had a problem with the air keeping the house as cool as I had the thermostat set. They came back several times this spring and made adjustments to the settings. And when they werentsatisfied with the way the new air performed, They came back and put in a whole new unit. When our 19 year old HVAC system failed in the midst of this summers heat wave, Derek came to explain the choices we had. He presented all the possibilities clearly and later scheduled our install. The furnace and air conditioner were installed and they have worked well. Hands down the BEST experience Ive ever had with ANYTHING. Our ac unit went out in the middle of the night, I was able to call around to a few different places all were nice people the next morning, but the receptionist at shanklin was so so kind and concerned. She asked me what time I needed them and made it work around my husband and my work schedules. Brandon came and had it fixed within 30 minutes. They accidentally overcharged us and they had called to let me know that we were getting refunded before I even had time to realise that they charged to much! I am absolutely floored with how amazing these people are. Never going anywhere else. 10/10 would DEFINITELY recommend!!

Called today because my AC was not working. I talked to several companies that would not come out today. I was looking at their ratings and saw they had 4.9 stars with over 178 reviews. So I decided to give them a call. When I called they said it was not an issue coming out today to get it fixed.Jared came out and in about 10 minutes he knew the problem. It is just a capacitor he said and he had the part on his truck. Very professional and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a company they can trust. One part and it was fixed. I will always use them in the future.

Super work done by technician Dale. While doing routine cleaning he adjusted vents when I complained that for the past few seasons my house was colder in certain areas. After he was done the problem was fixed. Another company told me I needed a second furnace to accomplish what Dale did in only 30 mins. Also, phone operator Connie is super helpful and took a great deal of time to answer all of my questions. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Shanklin!!!!

If you want customer service at its best, Shanklin is a great choice for HVAC work. Our a/c conked out on us just before some unusually hot weather, so I called. The appointment was scheduled for within 48 hours of my call and Dale, our technician, was actually early. We had him repair the a/c and inspect the furnace, but he went above and beyond to clean our air purifier filters, too! Excellent experience!

Brian arrived at the time he said he would. Reviewed his notes from the office, politely introduced himself and proceeded to evaluate my furnace. He had a special camera to look for potential cracks deep inside the furnace just in case. There were non thankfully. The reason he was there was the one flame was burning lower than the others. He removed parts (pipes), cleaned them out completely (gas was blocked by spider webs and dust) and replaced. He fixed it. Tested for efficiency with a meter. The furnace was back to normal efficiency. Im very please with the whole experience. Honest, on-time, and great service. Rare in this field! I would recommend Shanklin H&C to anyone. Take advantage of there service saving plan too!

My oil furnace stopped working this week (November 27, 2017). I called Shanklin at 6:30 am in the morning and by 9:30 am a technician named Brian was in my house fixing the furnace. I would recommend this company and Brian to others because he was up front with what was wrong with the furnace, told me the heat exchanger is past its prime ( good call on his part since I knew that already confirming they knew what they were talking about). He did a computer reading of my furnace for CO2 and this was the first time. This also confirmed that I had an inefficient and furnace in need of replacement. He did everything by the book and I think he sincerely likes his work (rare in todays world). What I liked is that he did not try to sell me on having gas run into my house but worked with me on estimates for a new oil furnace with a heat pump. Did not try to talk me into zone heating which I will consider but is several thousand dollars more. He was honest and upfront and professional. He even told me to swap out my high price allergen filters for the low cost ones since my furnace was not designed to pull air through the newer thicker filters putting undue stress on an already old 30 year furnace. The billing was detailed and fair. It was less than what I expected given the short notice. This is my first experience with Shanklin since the oil furnace maintenance business was sold to them from Campbell. Good company based on my experience and will stick with them.

I called Shanklin when my very old furnace quit working. Will arrived exactly on time and I watched as he checked over my unit. After agreeing that it was time for a new one, we sat down and found the furnace and air conditioner that worked best for me and my budget. I wasnt charged for this service call. 👍Mike and Dan arrived with my new furnace and air conditioner exactly on time and got busy. Dan installed the furnace while Mike installed the air conditioner. They worked together as a team and when they left, they thoroughly cleaned up all the old mess. (My special thanks to Mike for taking my fence apart to install the AC unit so I wouldnt have to remove my viburnum bush) Both were very friendly and courteous, and knew what they were doing.After 2 weeks, my furnace and AC are working perfectly, and I wish I had called them sooner. My new Rheem furnace puts out a gentle heat without that hot, dry air that my old furnace did, making it much more comfortable and easier to breathe with asthma.Will I call Shanklin Heating & Cooling again?YOU BET I WILL!!

First class, knowledgeable, and right on time. They do not give 4 hour windows where you have to take half a day off. They give a 1 hour window and my guy is always early or right on time. Their service club for $160 to get seasonal check ups is worth every dollar as my guy found a small defect in my furnace and was able to correct it on the spot rather than allow it to get worse and significantly damage the furnace. They come in clean and professional looking. They speak with confidence and knowledge that gives me confidence in their ability to provide the level of service my home needs.

Service was great and quick! We were hearing a rattle when the heat would kick on and our technician, Brian, advised that it is nothing serious and didnt recommend having anything replaced over this small noise. Also, we didnt have to wait around all day, and in fact they called and asked if they were able to arrive 30 minutes early.

I have had Shanklin out for my furnace and my air. This time the tech was just as friendly and knowledgeable as the last time. Our AC stopped working in the 90 degree heat and I was referred to Shanklin Heating and Air Conditioning by A friend. We found out our circuit board was bad and it would effect the furnace too. Dale T was very helpful with explaining the advantages and disadvantages of replacing the circuit board VS. replacing the whole furnace since it was 23 years old. We decided to replace the whole furnace Since we were planning on it in the next few years. The installation was fast and the 2 installers were very nice. We now have working air and heat again.

Had issues with my heating. Looked up google. Shanklin had the best reviews. Called and left a voice mail. They called back in 5 min. set up a time within the hour. Scott showed up. Very professional. Did the needed work to get my heating up and running. Suggested maintainance plans which was good. Would recommend their services.

Outstanding service. The service tech was knowledgeable and was able to pinpoint the problem within minutes. Upon the repair he started the furnace. He then checked the flue and immediately noticed the exhaust was backing up into the house. He told me to wait until he went out to the truck. After 5 or so minutes he returned and showed me pictures he took of my chimney stack and it showed a birds nest inside of it. Words could not have expressed how grateful I was. I have grandchildren living with me and he uncovered a potentially lethal threat to their lives. He didnt have to do this check, he could of left and I would have considered the job done. Shoes are covered. No mess after service call. Questions get answered and discounts on replacement parts. Filters get changed and or cleaned. My pets like Mr. Brian also. Recently we needed to replace our air conditioner. Our heating systems were 40 years outdated, so we decided to have everything replaced at the same time. Shanklin handled the whole process in a very timely and professional manner. They ran into several unforeseen snags when taking out our old systems, however they handled everything smoothly and without complaints. I have used Shanklin Heating, Air Conditioning for the last 3 years. They are so easy to work with and I love their maintenance plan. Brian was out today for my fall / winter service and was on time and answered all of my questions. Super company and great employees.

Have had Shanklin for years to service our furnace and air conditioning, very friendly and helpful. Had Dale out this morning to check furnace before turning it on and was very friendly. Thank you Dale for getting rid of the spiders that made a home over the summer. I dont do spiders!!! See you in the spring.

I started using Shanklin last winter when my furnace was not igniting. They were referred to me by a friend. I was impressed by how quickly that they were able to fit me into their schedule. I was equally impressed with the technician who came to fix my heater. Brian was very helpful, fixed the igniter, and told me how to save money on my filters. I purchased their annual plan to include checking my air conditioning in the spring and providing a discount on parts. Shanklin called me in the spring and reminded me that they wanted to schedule a time to check my air conditioning unit. The service call was free because I purchased the plan. Brian came back to my house checked it, fixed a little wire on the outside and didnt charge me for that...wow!!! I liked the fact that they fixed a problem and did not try to make me spend money replacing anything. I will remain a loyal customer.JB

Great service! Highly recommended for allyour heating and cooling services.-A second service call a week later on a second property, good service, but dinged me bigtime for the second time on the same part. I dont mind paying my far share, but 900% markup on a $12 part? Getting a little greedy my friends. Rating down graded to a 2. I look forward to a reply.

Brian Easterling from Shanklin is the best. I have an older house with a boiler system and its few and far between where you can find an HVAC specialist who really knows their stuff when it comes to these older systems. Brian is a true professional and a great guy to have working or any type of heating or air conditioning system. These guys are the best!!!!!

Brian was pleasant,punctual, and professional. He took the time to explain the Savings Club and answered my questions. He should be considered a valuable employee.
