Nice barbershop run by a friendly owner. I had been reluctantly going to Great Clips nearby since moving to Marysville. I know theyre not a great place to get a good cut and their prices have gone up from $14/cut to $19/cut over the last few years. Anyways, looked up this place and figure anyone that can stay in business with their own barbershop for several years with good reviews should be worth a try. Went today and found the owner friendly and knew his stuff. I didnt need any special cut, just wanted to shorten everything up and fix some of the gaffs the GC stylist left for me. Its barely more than Great Clips and twice the quality. Support local barbershops - theyre worth a couple extra bucks and theyll remember your cut after youve been a few times instead of having to always tell a new stylist at a franchised location what you need done. I would not recommend this place. I asked for a hair cut and trim and a real simple style at that, the owner/barber asked me how I wanted my hair cut again like 10 times and didn’t even cut it how I wanted it and he messed up my beard. Save yourself time and go to sport clips and pay half the price.

Long term customer, enjoy the conversation and repartee. Jays shop has an amazing trade in dry humor and wit, provides great traditional haircut as well while his second chair provides more contemporary styles.

I have never had my hair cut by Jay, but Joel is my go-to barber. Getting an appointment is fast and easy through text, hes very reliable, and the haircut always looks great. Sometimes Ill have him trim up my beard, and it always looks far better than when I do it myself. If Joel ever goes to another shop, I will follow him there.

I would recommend Jays Barbershop to any male or female with a definite style in mind. Joel was detail oriented, communicated ideas, and made me comfortable enough to nearly fall asleep in his chair. Ive only been there three times. Jay seemed very pleasant and down to earth and person. Jay cut my hair like I like it. But Im not picky. Your hair always grows back.

I saw Jay today on recommendation of a friend. I was told Jay was the best in Marysville. I do believe he is correct. When Jay asked what he could do for me today, I told Jay Just lake me pretty., which drew a laugh from his regular patrons.Ill definitely go again. Excellent haircut, great conversation, clean and comfortable.

Decided to give this business a try based on reviews. Attempted to contact this business all day with no luck. Their voicemail states that they dont even listen to their voicemail. Their website states that Joel accepts walk ins from 1-7, so I decided to stop by. Open sign is off, hand written sign on door stating theres no availability all day, and Joel inside with one customer. Entire situation could have been avoided if they answered their phone. Waste of time, do not recommend.
