I had a link issue with my ECM. I decided to stop by Kent’s. Allen was very knowledgeable and professional when he diagnosed my car and did not charge an arm and a leg. I will go back again if I need help with something else

Please do not take your vehicle here, no matter how desperate you are. They kept my car for over a week when all they had to do was replace the starter & flex plate. Every day, same story: “it will be done by the end of the day.” And at the end of every day, “it will be done tomorrow.” The owner explicitly told me he would never start any work without getting the customer’s approval first, however he did not update us on the various charges that accrued over the course of the week. The last total amount he gave us was $545.55.. but in reality we were required to pay nearly $1,000 to get the vehicle back. Getting back was an issue as well. The owner & his wife screamed at me, while it was just the 3 of us in their office. Attacking my character, calling me a liar, threatening to sue me, etc. They ended up calling the police and making us leave the property, and even though we were just trying to pay for the vehicle and get it back in our possession. Turns out, the reason they had it for so long was because something went very seriously wrong and they were trying to cover in their mistake. Unfortunately for them, but fortunately for me, they weren’t able to do this. My vehicle will now require thousands of dollars in repairs before it is safe to drive again. The engine temp sensor gauge had been disconnected and foes not work. There is an issue with throttle control. It will not switch out of first gear, and RPMs go into the red when driving just 40mph. The vehicle, that is usually very good on gas, used over 1/4 of a tank driving less than 20 miles after picking up from the shop. BAR has been contacted and made aware of these issues. They have an open investigation, and we were told this is not the first one. Please just save your sanity and money and look elsewhere for your auto repair needs. These are not only poor quality mechanics, but just all around poor quality individuals.Edit to add: I took my vehicle to the local Dodge Dealership to be checked out after leaving Kent’s Auto Repair. They took apart my transmission and discovered “excessive amounts of metal debris” So much that the transmission has been completely destroyed and will need a full replacement. There was not a thing wrong with my transmission when it was dropped off at Kent’s. The car is now worth less than it will cost to repair it. Kent’s Auto Repair destroyed my vehicle when all I wanted them to do originally was replace a window regulator. Absolutely unreal.
