First rate from beginning to end. I had a portable generator with a no-start condition. They picked it up a day after I called, and returned it a week later, cleaned up and running perfectly. Highly recommended.

Now that was a good experience. Initially dealt with the owner who was extremely pleasant and helpful. The person that repaired my lawn mower was very knowledgeable and explained in detail the repairs that were made. Free pick up and delivery made it very convenient - Thanks again!

Called Metro West for a snow-blower and lawn mower tune-up. Kudos to them for offering pick-up and drop-off service. However, never received confirmation of pick-up and never got an estimate for how long it would take to get to my equipment back (eventually found out it would take almost three weeks!). Had great difficulty reaching a human being on the phone to answer questions and theres no answering machine to leave a message. Only received a call when all the work had been completed - nobody ever called me to ask for approval about anything beyond the authorized tune-ups, they just did the work and charged me for it. I had some specific questions and issues I wanted looked at, but never got the chance to ask those questions.They ended up replacing parts that I had just recently replaced (fuel and air filters) and changed out a battery that I didnt want changed out, and nobody offered any sort of assistance when I brought this up. I was also surprised at some of the additional parts and fuel charges that I felt should have been included in the tune-up costs (buyer beware, I guess). What should have been a ~$350 service turned into an over $500 service without any communication. I paid and my equipment was returned clean and functional, but I wouldnt use Metro West again.

Note : this review is only concerning purchasing from them, as I have not worked with them for repairs.Be warned that their return policy doesnt allow for any return of equipment that has been used for any amount of time regardless of how small. While this makes sense, as people could easily take advantage, they are 100% inflexible on this and are unwilling to work with you if you are dissatisfied with the product. I claim partial responsibility, as I didnt research their policy enough before purchase, but I have since been unable to find it on their website, and they said nothing about it or have it written anywhere on their receipts.I was looking for a local place to work with for tractor repairs, but I dont trust this place to be up front with me. I wont be back.Update: did a more thorough search of the website and couldnt find anything about their policy. Downgrading my review to one star because the information is even less available then I assumed. Please at least add call for information on our return policy to your site to help future customers

For repair they fail. Return equipment broken, and want to charge you additional fees to fix what you already paid for. Horrible technical and customer service. Would not recommend, read through the smoke and mirror owner responses and take your business elsewhere

Last winter John Deere could not repair my tractor for several weeks. Chris from Metrowest came in less than a week. They let me know exactly what they found. Repaired it in a few days. They called to schedule delivery on Monday. Expecting snow over the weekend, I asked to have it delivered sooner if possible. Friday at 6 pm, they called to apologize for not having delivered but brought it to me first thing on SATURDAY. I have since bought a Husquvarna line trimmer which is really pricey but also works better than any trimmer Ive ever used. Today Im going back to buy another of the same trimmer as a gift for one of my boys. They are great!

These guys understand customer service and standing behind their products better than any other company I can think of!I bought a tractor in 2012 from Metro West Lawn & Power and signed up for the maintenance plan. They came to pick up the tractor and had an unfortunate accident with the lift on the truck which resulted in the tractor getting damaged. I expected to then enter into a protracted negotiation with them to get it all repaired and get back to a good as new tractor. I was delighted when Bev (the owner) offered to replace the tractor with the new 2013 model. Chris (the technician) delivered it last night and picked up the other one. As I pointed out to Chris I have a shed full of all sorts of power tools and when they need service I know exactly where to go.These guys are outstanding for sales, maintenance and customer service. Why would you go anywhere else?

I bought my Toro lawnmower at the start of the season this year. Great sales person and answered all my questions.There service is awful! Took my lawnmower in for a part which cost $13. It took two weeks to get it in and now I have to take it in again on my own and leave it for a week! For a $13 part that will take 3 minutes to install. Im sure Boston Lawnmower in Westborough will be getting my business.

Do not ever go to this store. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I was yelled at by the employee and then the owner called back and yelled at me. After having our snowblower serviced every single year for 9 years it came back to use with a faulty belt. They wont admit any part and are blaming me for not calling them in November - it didnt snow till feb! How was I to know? So rude and so unprofessional and as far as I can tell - they dint service the blower, they kept it and sent it back without even turning it on. UNREAL

I switched from a local vendor to Metro West and it was the best thing I have done in a long time. They provide superior service, excellent know-how and drop-off and pick-up big items. I bought a Toro Snowblower from them and its been awesome -- I feel like they are my partner and provide advice, training etc. Same for my Toro lawn mower purhcased from the previous company -- Meytro West is providing excellent service and the turnaround is a fraction of the time of the previous company I did business with. Excellent+.
