Charged my credit card that they had on file charged on my credit card some tolls in another state that I did not go to said they were going to investigate that was two weeks nothing from them and I have the mileage on the vehicle to prove I did not go to New Jersey cuz I did not leave my town and they will do nothing about it except saying they will investigate
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Booked a rental for a week to get my car worked on. The auto body shop I chose contacted John from Hertz and got me a deal at $25 per day. However, since I prepaid for the week, they will not do anything. Will NEVER do business here again. I will go to enterprise! It’s no wonder this company went bankrupt.

Recently had Joseph R work with my husband and I to rent a large vehicle/Yukon and I have to give this guy credit. Friendly, so easy going and the phone was going crazy with variety of issues. He really held it together and was very professional. Great experience and would go back again
At first I loved the customer service, but when I went to return the car the told me about an extra charge for the additional driver. They never told me that when I added the driver. Be aware. Only $121.50 😱
Terrible communication and very difficult to work with. I returned my rental when I picked up my car from the garage and called to let Hertz know. A week and a half later, I got an email with an affidavit saying that I needed to get a notarized signature and send it back immediately otherwise I would be investigated for stealing the car. There were multiple phone calls back and forth where no one seemed to know what was going on. I spent hours on the phone with this company with rude and unhelpful employees. Come to find out, they had never picked the rental up from the garage. Weeks later, I just got a charge on my account. I called up again, was put on hold for 10+ minutes, and then was very rudely told the charge was for gas. You picked it up at a full tank and returned it at a quarter.. I regret not taking a photo of the gas level before I returned the car. I can tell you it was not full but it absolutely was not at a quarter. Also I rented a sedan - there is no way it cost $45 to fill that tank. Terrible overall experience.
I had called ahead of time and verified through AAA and talked to the location about a rental. They never said they were gonna run a credit check in order to rent a car, all they said is I need 2 forms of Id with a debit card. Im fully insured and was in a pinch needing a car for a couple days. When I got there they refused me getting a car after I had arranged a ride and left me high and dry standing outside. This is absolute awful business and they will never get my money ever. Im even thinking of getting rid of my triple a card now because of this. Poor poor business
Worst place to rent a car. We lost a 3 day holiday family trip because the lady was too lazy to work 2 minutes past 12 (closing time) we called at 11:50 to tell them I was running a couple minutes late and the lady never picked up the phone, when we got there at 12:02, she had all the doors locked and was in the basement. After talking to her, she said that “all systems shut down at 12.” Never apologized, never tried to help. We went to enterprise to see if they had cars, they didn’t. However, they also closed at 12, but the service agent was still there and at least helped.
I wish I could give less then a 1 star. I have been trying to receive a refund for over a month. They tell me they’ll give me a confirmation number or that they’ll call me back and guess what they never do!! They literally ignore my phone number!!! I called off a different phone and they answered on the 3rd ring. Call again on mine, right to voicemail !! This is such BS!! The staff might be friendly but don’t expect them to be helpful !! They are not afraid to charge your card for hundreds of dollars without your consent for things you shouldn’t get charged for. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! Never renting from them again!!!!
I used to use Enterprise until I found out that Hertz had cheaper rates thru AAA. I have rented two cars from them now and have NOT been impressed! Last car I rented had awful warped rotors, a streaky interior windshield and a poorly cleansed interior. Ill be going back to Enterprise now. Sorry not sorry.
I rent from Hertz about twice a month for corporate travel. The entire team at the Hertz Marlboro / Hudson MA locations make every effort to accommodate my travel needs, even when theyre last minute. The manager Steve, along with his whole staff, is professional and friendly, which has led me to return to this same location over two dozen times in the last 12 months. Id highly recommend renting from this Hertz location if youre looking for a positive car rental experience.

I reserved a car a week in advance and when i got there they said they had a busy morning and gave my car away. Unreal. I wish i could give negative stars. Inept company and employees. Maybe they could have notified me they gave my car away so i could make other plans. Worst car rental experience ive had...ever
Woman behind the desk said absolutely nothing to me when I walked in.
Do yourself a favor and DONT rent a car from here. The people that work here have no clue whats going on... no clue. Ive had to call their manager twice and their roadside assistance because they couldnt answer any of my questions.
