The connection that they provide is outdated, amazingly slow, and just not worth the price for it. Customer service hangs up on customers when you tell them that they are wrong and that something they say is not the truth. Poor quality connection and poor customer service!!
So far this has been the worst service Ive ever had. Communication within the company and technicians is non-existent. I went thru a similar experience in May like I am now. I had to call today when no one showed up after calling twice since Thursday of last week. I called Thursday and put an order for my service to be transferred and it was set up for Monday. Called Monday and they said there was no order for a transfer. Made it for today then once again no one came so I called and they said there was no order once again. Not to mention service cuts out a lot. How about getting it together Frontier? Maybe hire employees that know what they are doing?
Started service for an outrageous price only a few days ago, and the Internet isn’t working already. Slow speed as well and was told we can’t even upgrade our speed cuz of the area we live in. This service sucks !
EDIT: After a 2 hour phone call with support, were no longer continuing service with Frontier. So just a buyer beware, you might want to take your business elsewhere like I did!Probably the worst experience with this company yet, and the current overall rating certainly reflects that. Were experiencing an ongoing issue on Frontiers end. This is the 3rd or 4th time weve had to reschedule an appointment because the technicians are apparently directionally challenged. Many hours on the phone with multiple support agents later.... Were still waiting for a technician. Most likely will go to the same wrong address as usual. The next issue. If the technician goes to the wrong address, they DO NOT contact the customer. No no, they go ahead and CANCEL the order and leave it up to support to help the customer reschedule, because guess what? The customer awaiting the technician is only wasting time and money now. Itll be 5PM by the time it happens, which means the customer has no other choice but to reschedule or cancel all services. We are very close to cancelling our account with Frontier because of these continued inconveniences. We just want to continue service at our new residence!
Its far too bad that 1 star is the minimum rating. This is ABSOLUTELY BY FAR the MOST HORRIBLE, DREADFUL COMPANY Ive EVER IN LIFE had to deal with!! Seriously folks, RUN! If u can find an alternate, save yourself a lot of headaches, aggravation, and wasted time. Never have I seen a place that tells you something and doesnt follow through. Nor have I seen a place that MISSES APPOINTMENTS over&over and dont care. And if thats not enough they have install workers that flat out lie and say they came but there wasnt anyone home. Thanks to the security cameras on my home that was ruled out... More than once. My son missed classes for several days because of their incompetence. They dont care. Lastly, they add stuff to your bill that wasnt ordered by you. This is a serious joke of a company. Any if you must call them. Be prepared to be on the phone for an hour or more. My longest was 2 1/2 + HRS! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!
This place is a joke and the people working there are too, I called to open up a Internet account and they opened up a phone account instead, with no Internet. I waited for my Internet to come on, that never did call back, then they charged me for having A phone line. I called back spoke to managers all kinds of people spent at least 7 hours on the phone and they still charge me on for having a phone line now it has gone to the credit bureau. And still no one wants to take responsibility. By the way they were never able to open up an Internet account because they had no Internet available in my area, does that make any sense to anyone.
After spending hours dealing with Spectrum over some cable lines hanging off the main line in my front yard, Spectrum finally sent someone to remove the 30 of wire from my yard. When the technician arrived he informed me that they are Frontier lines and they will not remove them. Spectrum would rather leave them on the ground for the neighborhood kids to play with them. Enter my call to Frontier to get them taken care of lol. After a rather short phone call I was told theyd be out August 5th to take them down. Asked to speak to management and was told he was the manager. This is another great example of the excellent service one would expect from Frontier.
So tired of phone service always being out. Years of complaining, because of no service, gets a customer no where. Again service is out and it takes more than a day to get it restored. Poor customer service!
I have had Frontier for the last 5 years. If i was to rate them for the first four years it would have been 4 Stars. that review would have been based on cheap costs and decent internet. So if you do not need to call customer service you will be fine but if you do, expect the worse. The one star is from my experiences this last year.My friends and I are football fans and on multiple occasions the internet would just stop. Tech support did try to help and said the issues were solved. next day same thing. I told retention I am willing to work with the tech support but I now have wasted hours of my time on this. Retention was more than happy to give me $5.00 off my bill for the next year. Wow I said. Thank you. Thank you!. After a month no change. Second month no change. I decided to call back.After 30 min on the phone, I was told by customer service that because I was in a promotion period they could not do what retention promised. So nobody called me to tell me that. He said sorry sir. Now instead of cancelling my service when I wanted to they got $70 more dollars out of me. I have never been promised anything and never got it from a big business like this. I will be searching tomorrow for something better.
Called on the third to set up service. Was quoted $47 a month on the phone for internet service. Get a confirmation email later on stating it is actually $68 a month for internet and phone ( never signed up for phone). I let it go since it was only a $20 difference. Had to wait a week for an install apt. Fast forward to today and my install was scheduled from 9am to 1pm. No one ever showed up!!! I called customer service and was on the phone for an hour just to be told there is nothing they can do and they are sorry but my installation was rescheduled for the 12th between 12-4 pm... which doesnt work for me because I am working during those hours! So they told me the next available Saturday apt was the at the end of the month!!! I just went ahead and cancelled it all together after that. Completely unprofessional to not even bother to call the customer and tell them they are not showing up at the agreed time. Then do nothing for the brand new customer to make it better?! Im dumbfounded. You lost my business before it even started!
We got frontier as a package deal with directtv. I have no probs with directv, they are great. I dont know how I got packaged with frontier, but believe me, it has been the worst experience of my life. They set me up with the wrong phone number at the very beginning and the only way they could change my number was to send out a tech (in 4 days) to change it. I found out later, that they opened up a separate account, so now, I have 2 accounts. When they opened the 2nd account, they charged me an early disconnect fee. ALL I DID WAS CHANGE MY PHONE NUMBER! It took me from Oct to Jan to get the 1st account closed and the $250.00 early disconnect fee removed. I called 1 or 2 times a week, EVERY week and was on hold approx 2-3 hours each time I called. The internet only gives me a speed of 18-20 (for high speed). Needless to say, we left the company, but they are holding my phone number hostage. I have had the same phone number for 40 years! In order to get it back, I have to reinstall my service ($40-$50) and then pay for a months worth of service ($45-$60) just to turn it on long enough to get my phone number back! They are crooks! stay as far away as possible! Oh, btw, my new company gives me a speed of 100-130 (for low speed).
Awful business!! They charged me for internet for several months that never worked even after I had called several times and told them it wasnt working and wanting to shut it off. They never did until four months later and now owe them over $400 for something that I never used and never worked!!!
Service has been fixed and finally I can use my net. It took a long time though.
Internet service is by far the worst I have ever had.
Plays games with your bill, charges you for things you never wanted. Tells you installation is free, then adds 100 installation fee. These guys are crooks. And there internet blows.
Internet is SLOW.
