Worst experience in well over 30 years of my life. DO NOT TAKE YOUR MOWER THERE!$178 for a mower tune up. They disconnected the self -propelled function and did not tell me -- I found out when I tried to mow the lawn.Called to tell them that they forgot to attach it again and was told that it needed a transmission and that would run more than the mower originally cost.Neighbor who repairs mowers found a broken belt as the only problem. Took it back. Was told the guy who worked on it didnt work there anymore. Young guy swore they would only charge materials to rectify their mistake. Left it with them again.5 weeks later it is done. Went to pick it up and Whoa! $82.50 to rectify their poor workmanship? Yes. Older gentleman was mansplaining and talking over me when I was explaining the chain of events. He called his technician in and the same happened. Said I had authorized removing the gears for the self - propelled function and they needed to be replaced. WHAT? No! I did not. So instead of $8 for a belt, I was charged $82.50 with parts at no cost but to pay for an hour of the techs time.Calmly told them that that was not how the events came to pass and older gentleman said that the tech said it was. So now we have a he said, she said situation going 2 against one, with the 2 lying or deluded.I sensed a real chauvinist vibe in that encounter. There was no winning the argument - to have them admit they were wrong. I paid and left with tears of frustration in my eyes.
I have been to this shop a number of times to get my lawn mower fixed and have my chains sharpened for my chainsaw. Recently I had 7 chains I need in a hurry to help my neighbors Boy Scout troop, #714, for an Eagle scout project. No only did the shop get it done on time, they donated some of the labor cost as an act of good will. Thanks guys, I will keep coming back as long as I continue to get great customer service!
I have used them for years. My riding mower would not start. Quinn came to my home, found the problem and fixed it. I could not ask for more. Fast and responsive and Quinn very polite
Took my weed eater to have the carburator adjusted, found out tgere were no one there to help me with my issue, they told me tge wait time will be 3 weeks ??? What?
I left my mower with East Cobb Lawn Mower Service on Monday. They said they would get to it within one week. I called the following Wednesday to see where I was in line and the gentleman I spoke to said I was 8th in line. I called on Friday and another guy said I was still 8th in line. I called the next Monday (7 days after my first call) and they said I was now 15th in line. I immediately took my mower to J&J mower service and they diagnosed it on the spot, told me I had a bent crankshaft and told me it would be about 14 days until they could get to it.Pro tip: DONT lie to your customers. When you say its going to take a week actually deliver within a week. I can understand that East Cobb Lawn Mower Service was backed up, but I dont understand them lying to me.
These guys are salt of the earth. Local shop with long tenured local guys running a good business. When my new chainsaw kept stalling on me they took time away from a lot of work to analyze the problem for me. It was quick work for them to diagnose bad fuel. They drained it, gave me tips on how to ensure quality fuel... free of charge. This allowed me to finish a big job on a deadline. Thanks guys.
Helpful and knowledgeable staff. They get busy, but its because they are good and reasonably priced.
Friendly place. They really know their stuff. Can fix any type of yard equipment. Fair pricing.
I have had mower blades sharpened here, and more recently Jacob got my string trimmer running smoothly again. They are responsive, and they make a real effort to provide excellent value and service. Good local company....
I have used this location over the years primarily for lawn mower, other equipment repairs and services. Each time they were professional, honest and great to deal with. Tyler and the rest of the staff provide excellent customer service - what you would hope to find with any business...and the owner is a pleasure to talk to. They know their stuff and have their customers best interest In mind.
Went to shop this morning to get my chainsaw serviced, the owner not only fixed my tool (for free), also taught me how to do it correctly. Thanks folks, definitely come back another day.
I have used these guys for years whenever I have chainsaw issues. They always take good care of me, whether it be for chain sharpening or total saw repair. They also provide excellent advice on taking care of my equipment, and when Ive brought in a saw that just needed a safety mechanism reset they didnt charge me the usual inspection fee. I trust this company and the people that work there. I have no reason to go to any other location for my repairs.
Great service from Veteran who will always have my business !!
The team has solved multiple problems I couldnt- that has a lot of value to me. They also tell me what was wrong, Im a handy guy and trouble shoot most things, these guys are good at explaining to me what was wrong and how to fix it. I shop for quality nothing else.
They we able to look at my mower right away and worked to resolve an issue while I was on site... and at no charge! Thanks guys!
Tyler was very professional and fixed my lawn edger in a timely manner. Highly recommend these guys!
Share reviewEmbed reviewWrite an updateEdit review8/8/2020I was disappointed in the cost for my mower, I had a carburetor problem and when I dropped it off, they told me it would not be over $100. They also serviced the mower even though I had sharpened blade and replaced plug. Total bill was $130. They told me it would be 2 weeks so I hired a guy to mow for an additional $45 but the mower was done sooner, I could have mowed. You would think delivering it sooner would be good, but my total cost was $175. I could almost buy new.
The guys are at East Cobb Lawn Mower are awesome! Not only can they fix almost anything, they also show you how to fix things on your own as well. I’d recommend them to anyone!
They did a great job. My 25 year old Toro runs like the day I bought it. Price was very reasonable. Great staff as well.
I had a chainsaw that needed a little work so I came to this shop. I was expecting to leave it but a gentleman came to me to asked what was wrong with it. I explained the issue I was having and the man took it inside and returned a minute later with it up and running. Took him about two minutes.Knowledgeable Friendly and Helpful staff.
Just stopped by to have my weedwacker head repaired and these guys fixed and replaced the head in a matter of minutes. They do a great job in the community.
I called this East Cobb Lawn Mower Service because it was an authorized Ryobi service center. I asked them if they fix Ryobi and they said yes. I asked them if I need to bring my battery and charger in order for my mower to be fix. He said just the battery is good and that I dont need to bring my charger with me. When I came in the store saying I called earlier to get my mower fix and he said that they dont fix electric mower. So the person over the phone earlier gave me wrong information or he didnt want to help me because I was Asian American. Overall I didnt feel comfortable in there because he had the confederate flag hanging so I left.
Got a riding mower I had up and running for a lot cheaper than I thought it would be. Great service.
Great customer service. Have brought my mowers in on several occasions. They are experienced and knowledgeable. Very reasonable prices too. Highly recommend this store.
Harvey is such a nice person love this place
The stop is very friendly, they were actually able to get my mower up and running same day. They made the process easy and I think their pricing is fair.
BEST LAWN MOWER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. Very affordable prices.Very Professional. Took care of all my needs and were very knowledgeable about the issue.
What a throwback to the good ol days! My son was going to mow a friends lawn. We have lawn service and have not used our lawnmower in God knows when. I suggested that he take it up the street to the lawnmower repair shop before driving all the way to the friends house and have it not work. Even though Sean was swamped when he came up there, he took the time to take a look at our lawnmower and clean the carburetor so that it would start. He advised my son that this is a temporary fix and all he asked in return is that we buy our next lawnmower from him. We most definitely will! My son could not go on enough about how AWESOME their customer service was. In a time where everything is done online and has become so impersonal, it was nice to have that home town feel and service. Go see Sean. Seriously. Go see Sean.
Straight shooters, also they typically have common small engine parts (i needed Honda carb gaskets and they had them for me) in stock so you dont have to wait and order then over the internet and the prices are reasonable. They always have a lot of business.
These guys are the best. Brought out new troybuilt in for warranty work and and they fixed everything that the factory missed.thanks Harv and Shawn and the rest of the crew great job.
Harv has been here for 30+ yrs. That doesnt happen without good service and competitive pricing. Best of all hes a former Marine. Temper Fi !
This morning my husband and I took his gas powered leaf blower to the East Cobb Lawn Mower Service. He was having trouble with starting the blower and keeping the engine going. Even though we did not buy the leaf blower at this store, the manager had one of his employees teak it for us. It now runs fine. They were so helpful and gave us some additional information so that we dont have the same issue again. We highly recommend this store and we will be back again.Great customer service!
These guys are so helpful, do great work reasonably-priced and timely. We take our mowers, edgers and chain saws and have always been happy with their service!
Pretty good and quick service. As long as you are smart and drip off you mower in the off season. You must understand summer will be a busy time for them.
Horrible Customer Service!Took in excess of 5 weeks to have 2 cables replaced on my mower. I had to call them 7 times to get updates on the status of the repairs. With the exception of once from Justin, I never received a follow up call even though they stated they would call me back on 3 separate occasions. After call 7, I stated that it was ridiculous that it was taking this long. Their response was, Well, you can come pick it up now then. Wow! Not the response I anticipated but I guess I should have after 5 weeks. When I went to pick it up I questioned why it took so long and they stated they had to order the parts. I asked why didnt you give me a call and just let me know it was going to take longer? His response was, We do the best we can and if we stopped to follow up with every customer we would be further behind than we are. A complete lack of pride and ownership by anyone at this place. Take your business elsewhere!
My husband John took a very old favorite edger in for repairs on Friday. Received a call early Saturday that it was ready. Very reasonable charge and excellent service. Thank you Shawn !!!
They have a corner on the market. The owner is kind of rude and stand offness. It takes forever to simple repairs. Roswell hardware isnt much better. The market could use better competition.
Always great service and helpful staff.
Have used these guys for many years. Always friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly reliable. Repairs are as good as they are. Harv is always a great socializer!
I have been going to East Cobb Lawn Mower Service for over 20 years. I have always had good service and knowledgable employees help me. The owner, Harv, knows his business and prices are very reasonable.
Friendly knowledgeable staff. They always keep my equipment running
I took my riding lawnmower into this place in February and it took 5 weeks to get it back for a “service”. They changed the blades, oil, and oil filter for $200 (told me $120). Got home and the battery was dead (didn’t charge it) brakes had not been adjusted despite telling me they had. Three weeks later it won’t run and I now need to take it back to get the carburetor replaced. Says that will cost $85, but based upon past experience I am guessing $180.This is my first review ever for anything. Horrible quality of service. By a new mower. It’s cheaper.
After 20 years of being a loyal customer, I hate to say it, but I will never use them again. Now that Harv is gone, the place has gone to ruin. With the exception of Justin, the staff is uncaring, blatantly will lie to you and then it gets worse. I took a lawn more and a weed eater in for a spring time up. $190 and three weeks later, I pick up my equipment. I run one tank of gas thru the lawnmower and it will not start. The weed eater starts but will not run fast enough to cut grass. These repairs were done by Justin, the only one up there you can talk to. I will now find somewhere else to take my equipment to and have them fix what these guys screwed up.
Dropped off chainsaw to get tuned up. They told me 3 weeks, which wasnt a problem. However, after a couple phone calls and 8 weeks, no work was done. I picked it up and they didnt seem to care or apologize. They just made excuses that they were too busy to work on it.
Great local business helping keep my lawn equipment running.
Overpriced mediocre service.
Quick, friendly, and fair service
Like the services
Extremely professional, knowledgeable, and helpful! Would recommend them to anybody for small engine repair and any other service they offer. Walked me through the repair and told me to avoid future issues!
