This was my first time visiting a Micro Center and I very much enjoyed my time there. As a computer and technology enthusiast, it was really cool to see some items in a brick and mortar store that I would normally only access online. There are also a lot of good deals to be found here so I will probably swing by again in the near future!
Everything from a simple cable to a complete setup. Knowledgeable staff ready to help with all your needs. Prices and selection are top notch!
Came into this location looking for PC parts. Saw associates asking other customers do they need assistance. I kept getting over looked. This is not the first time I’ve had this issue with this location. This is the 3rd time. Ms. Valerie is always a big help! Best associate ever! I’m starting to think it’s profiling going on. Especially with several reviews the same as mine. My money is just as good as the next customer. Store was definitely not busy. I was there at opening. I eventually walked out tired of feeling like I’m not welcome. Do better!
Usually a place I have recommended for years but had a poor experience the most recent time I visited. Came in looking for a new laptop, went to the correct area and as best I could tell only one of the associates was busy at the time. There were another 3-4 associates who were standing around the island and looked in the direction of my boyfriend and I but not a single one asked us if we were looking for anything or were in need of help for the 5-10 minutes we stood there before we decided to leave.I’ve worked retail for a couple years so I fully understand it being difficult to check in with customers when it’s busy. However, with some of them appearing to be free and not one asking us if we needed anything it left a bad taste in my mouth.
Showed up 15 minutes before closing and was able to secure all the components I needed for my new PC build. Price was best on most and, where not, they price-matched competitors. Shoan Douglas (Build-Your-Own specialist) helped with the process and was simply amazing - knowledgeable, fast, friendly.
I ordered my product online and picked it up with no hassle. The staff was great
This is one of only two micro centers in Atlanta and Im lucky to live near this one. I buy basically half of all my technology equipment from this store. Like most places here in Atlanta the staff is spread a little thin so sometimes its a little difficult to get somebody to help you but once people get tired of taking unemployment I think theyll come back to work and everything will go back to being just its only usually difficult to get somebody to help you.
I usually go to Duluth but this location was really great. I drive all the way from Alabama to come here. I got a laptop for school this time. Mr. Greg Schulz was VERY helpful! I had come with a particular computer in mind but he listened to what I wanted it to be able to do and sold me a different laptop. I really like the one he helped me pick and he really listened to what I wanted. Definitely will be coming back :)
Good value, freindly and fast service.
Back in 2017, I bought a store-brand gaming PC from here. Now, in 2021, it still works great, Im very impressed and happy with it. The staff are always very helpful, and I can always count on this place whenever Im looking for anything tech-related.
Micro center has all the technology that I have ever needed. They have great customer service and helpful sales personnel. I highly recommend them.
I recently left a lengthy review with not so good remarks. Micro Center did make right on what was wrong today. I received the service today I feel I should have received the first time. Things happen, people make mistakes and that’s ok. I appreciate the service department manager thanking me for my business. I also appreciate the professionalism of Jerome Tomaskovich and his knowledge. He is an asset to Micro Center in my opinion. My build came out exactly as I wanted thanks to him and the service department. Between Jerome and the service department, they built me a beast of a PC that I will be able to enjoy for years to come. Thank you so much!
There are some really intelligent and helpful staff here. its not always like this at microcenter and this one is special. The computer building crew is a crack team of experts and they will take care of you ever step of the way. I DO NOT however like how the managers treat the employees here, they are obviously over worked and treated poorly. The store is awesome besides the overwhelming sales quotas that they push in your face constantly.
Great Service all employees are very knowledgeable! Employees answered all my questions!
Bought an entire gaming set up from Micro Center here in Marietta. Ive done over 50 PC builds and i couldnt get this one to boot up. Turns out the motherboard and power supply *THEY SOLD ME* were both bad. They charged 40$ to diagnose 2 faulty components that they sold to me. Very unprofessional. Will not have my business again. I encourage those in Marietta to buy elsewhere. **UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS*
You dont have to be a nerd to love this place. Whenever I need something to fix a gadget or need a new gadget I go here first. Trust me, they have a better price than Walmart and and a better selection!.
I mean, its a nerd shop, for nerds, by nerds. They dont sell nerds, thats not what I mean, they sell to us.Great place to pick up chips. All sorts of chips, big chips, long chips, fat chips, even discreet little pocket sized chips.
Daughter and her boyfriend went into the Marietta store to shop for a new laptop. They stood there waiting for someone to come help them for 10 minutes before walking out. There were 4 employees standing there talking to each other and looking at my daughter and her boyfriend who were obvious about needing assistance but the employees NEVER took one step toward them to offer their “expertise.” The store was not busy so there was no excuse for the employees not helping potential customers. I have purchased 4 MacBooks from this store and the boyfriend that was with my daughter had just purchased a laptop from this store 2 weeks ago after we recommended the store. We won’t be recommending the store to anyone else.
Love microcenter such a great company. They really are proof that you can survive in retail with great service! I have visited hundreds of times and been in may branches all over the country, never once have I had a bad experience which is why I keep going back.
When you are buying a PC, they treat you with the respect that a customer should be treated with, very helpful with picking out the correct pieces. Running up the prices with no issue. Once you have an issue that is covered under warranty however the customer service goes right out the window. I have been back and forth with my PC for the past two weeks trying to understand why it was not fixed correctly the first time and why it is so difficult to get any communication on how long my PC will be on site this time. There is no phone number to the store that anyone will actually answer either. the line they ask you to text is never monitored or answered unless they are ready for you to pick up your PC. The customers time is valuable just as the stores time is. Ignoring the customer is not a very good way to conduct business.
Its a little on the small side and not super modern looking inside. But they have a great selection of PC components. Most are reasonably priced, some are better prices than youll find anywhere else.
Literally my most favorite place in the whole wide world. And I do mean the entire solar system. This place sells everything electronic that you could ever want and the staff is very knowledgeable. They dont try to oversell you or even undersell you. If you explain to them what you need they will help you find exactly what you need to do the job. I do like that their staff is price conscious when recommending a product. Overall its an awesome place and a good place to find that you can chit chat with customers as well as staff and its also a nice place to get ideas for projects. Its basically what RadioShack should have been but never became. This store will last forever. The best part? They are dog friendly... I love it.
I am an electrical engineer with over three years experience in computer hardware and I used to love going to micro center, over the past year they’re customer service has become atrocious. Every time I go into the store I am talked down to in a very demeaning way as if I have no idea what I’m talking about, whenever I look for certain items that are displayed on their website I am told they do not carry said items and am told to buy something that is much more expensive, just for me to show them the item on their website that is met with an eye roll. They find the product, slap their sticker on the item and walk away angry, this is unacceptable behavior and I am tired of shopping at micro center, I don’t appreciate trying to be swindled into buying a product for 5 times the price when I have explicitly told them what I am looking for and they choose to ignore it in hopes of a higher commission. I have kept trying to shop from micro center because I appreciate their products and services but I will no longer being shopping their because of their incredibly poor customer service and attitudes, it is very upsetting to be treated as if I have no idea what I am talking about because they are trying to pull more in commission. Unacceptable.
Its Microcenter... if you have electronics needs and cant wait for delivery it is a God send. They arent perfect but good luck finding a particular adapter or cable anywhere else in store.
Clearly the best computer store in Metro Atlanta. Parts, accessories, office expendable, service and repair. Friendly, knowledgeable staff!
Excellent service and selection. A very impressive computer store
I’ve visited this location twice. The staff are very polite however can sometimes come on a little strong. Organization could be a bit better in the aisles but otherwise I like this location and I trust that the people working there know what they are talking about. I really liked the wide selection of headphones and computer mice. This location is nearly an hour away from me however I would much rather make the drive to come here vs a different retailer.
The only and the best computer store. Great deals
My Husband loves this store, we hit it up like ever other weekend. Check out their website for good sales items.
Kid in a candy store is the best way to explain microcenter. If you need anything pc/raspberry pi/Arduino related this is the place you shop. Forget shopping online from other places, microcenter will have what you need.
If you ever are looking for something technology wise. Its a good chance its located here. Im going to be honest, your wallet is not safe here. Youll see things you didnt know existed and want to buy it without thinking. Im not even joking. I love this place :D
This place is a tech lovers dream. Anything you could possibly need to build your own PC or buy one already made. Printers, two way radios, UPSs, STEM projects, raspberry pi components. Competitive pricing. Employees must work on commission. Lots of employees on hand to help you. Social distancing measures have been implemented. They ask to spray your hands with sanitizer before entering. Employees keep people seperated well while waiting to check out.
Best pc store Ive ever been to. Good customer service too.
I have almost always had a good experience at this store. Everyone is helpful and I dont think Ive ever gone to get something computer related that they did not have.
Very helpful knowledgeable staff! Long lines go fast, plenty of cashiers
They have lots of product on the shelves and staff that knows what they are talking about. They are a treasure. They had what they said was in stock! Sales person was friendly, patient and helped me get all the stuff I needed to go with the computer I bought. You dont get that shopping on amazon!
I purchased a new computer and printer here recently as a first time customer to Micro Center. Foley, the associate who guided me through the process, was great. He asked questions and listened to what I was looking for both feature wise and price wise and showed me some good options to choose from. He fully explained the positives and differences between the machines. He offered additional items but was in no way pushy or trying to upsell. I really appreciated his customer service manner. Overall very satisfied with the product. The manager also spoke to me to make sure I received good service and got everything I needed. I would much rather shop here than a big box store or buy on line, the customer experience is much better.
Needs a reno badly. Otherwise pretty helpful. You can definitely tell they work on commisions.
I have been shopping at microcenter for years now. They always have an amazing selection of merchandise. The staff is super friendly and will help you find whatever you need. They do price matching against competitors. They have an amazing item protection plan. For all you electronic needs go here 10/10 A+
Absolutely love microcenter. Have built all my computers buying from this place. The employees are always helpful and can point you in the right direction and have no problem helping you find alternatives to your build if things go south.
Great place, very nice people, got my parts to bulid my first pc here. Whether youre looking for a powerful bulid or somewhere to start off with. This is the place to go as you have plethora (or large amounts) of options to pick. Youre guided through the whole entire process of picking parts that fit your budget to actually getting it bulit in the same store! Also they have coverage here in case something goes wrong. Always a joy coming back for buying better parts or buliding a new pc for my little brothers.
I’ve been going to Microcenter as long as I can remember. Recently built a new gaming computer and I was helped by Jared who really knew his stuff. He was able to answer some really technical questions without any hesitation. I came in with a complete print out of what I wanted and asked if he would change anything. He had me change the memory and the power supply. The power supply he suggested was actually cheaper than the one I had already picked out. Things like that really make me respect the employees which are paid on commission. My new build runs COD Cold War with all settings on ultra except ray tracing on low at an average of 180 FPS.
Nice store but employees were needlessly pushing store warranty for every single graphics card purchase. Very patronizing!
Love this store. Like a Best Buy on crack. Great selection and not overpriced.
Staff was super helpful. I wasnt sure if the power supply they had available for the Ender 3 Pro would work on my Ender 3 (non-pro) 3D printer. He wasnt sure either, but he went searching through forums and YouTube to give an answer. Ill take the info for what its worth and not be mad if hes wrong, but his willingness to find me an answer was apprecoated.
I love this place. Nerd heaven.
Great customer service. Always super friendly and able to answer all your questions!
The associates at this store are incredibly helpful. An associate helped us find the products we needed for at least an hour.
Great service, great prices, great selection. wish there were more microcenters so i wouldnt have to drive so far. open one on barrett parkway
Making purchases through Microcenter is a nightmare. I mistakenly made a reservation at the wrong store (my fault) and tried to get it transferred to another store, but was told I would have to cancel the order and create a new one. Seems inconvenient. If you want a family member to pick it up, they need to bring another payment method and essentially pay for it in store. The individual told me it is too risky to allow shoppers to pay online and pick up in store. Meanwhile 99 percent of retailers do this. It is 2021. If you arent going to, at the very least, offer shipping, then at least allow people to make purchases online and have friends or family pick it up. Not everyone is mobile and can come in to the store. Seems very unfair to those who do not have that ability.
Has everything tech related definatly suggest, the people also know what there talking about
Micro Center is my go to store for all technology related products both big and small. I have been shopping there for years and have always been satisfied with the products, prices, and service.
The computer employee was rude, not interested in selling. We left purchased our computer from another store. Bad attitude for an older employee. To the Owner...thank you for responding. What was really distasteful about this incident is we drove 25 miles to purchase a refurbished unit. For some...price is important. The computer sales person, realizing this was not going to be a $$$$$ sale, did two things: 1.) He stated that a 4gig computer would not be adequate for Internet surfing, and, 2.) sent us to the tablet department. The Tablet Guy was kind..took us back to the computer sales guy who blew us all off.We ended up purchasing a 4gig NEW HP...from a mass market store. The computer sales guy missed a sale...and...lost face with a customer. Maybe just one...maybe many others. When someone comes in to BUY...learn the lesson: Write the Order.
One thing I know is I’ll never come back here for any service. Most frustrating service ever!!!!
Service can be hit or miss but thankful to have a MC nearby
Ive been shopping at this micro center for way over 20 years! I bought parts for my Windows 95 PC from this store. I still supply customers and get my own parts in 2021.
Ive purchased my last laptop from this place. Its really sad when a sales person rattles off complete lies just to make a commission. I understand, after my last purchase with them, I should have walked away and done my own research, but I didnt. Now Im stuck with a Dell that is NOT new on the market, has horrid battery life, and could have purchased it $350 plus cheaper elsewhere. As far as purchasing Office 365 and ESET? What a rip. Its been a while since I felt this stupid.
Great selection. Friendly and helpful staff
Everything computer electronics. Can be very overwhelming walking into to any Microcenter, so I would recommend bringing a knowledgeable person/friend who can advise you. Though the store has many helpful associates who are very knowledgeable, they do not have the time to teach anything technical so you can make an informed decision. Like car shopping, try to do homework and seek advice prior to going. Like any store, Microcenter will try to sell items that will appear to be just what you are looking for. Information is power, so know the differences or have someone with you who can help. Most likely you will find what you are looking for. Return policy good and they have a customer service center that will service or fix your computer. I highly recommend them.
Glad to have a Microcenter near me, but its honestly sad how much better the Microcenter in Duluth is. If you have time, go to Duluth. People will actually help you there.
Micro center has always been super helpful in whatever question or project we needed. Theres isnt anyone hovering over you and hounding you about purchasing something. When you need help, its fairly easy to find it. Theyve helped me numerous times whether finding parts for a build or recommending a monitor for my fiance. 10/10
You cannot call this business to ask a question! The only way to get information about products is a chat and email. Through chat, we were told we needed to come in person to get that particular question answered. Using email, we were lied to about the process for obtaining the rare computer part we needed. In the end we had to obtain the necessary information via third party social media. Its fine if you have a procedure for obtaining parts, we dont mind jumping through the necessary hoops to get a part. BUT TELL US HOW TO DO IT, AND DONT LIE ABOUT THE PROCESS.
Great experience. Honest employees, no pressure.
Outstanding staff, extremely helpful and so knowledgeable. I was blown away by not only the knowledge the staff had but how to problem solve issues that they were presented with. It was my first time to the location, and will be returning again.
While i was looking for parts Kylie was very helpful, she helped me find what i needed and left her own suggestions. I will definitely be returning great service great prices great place for pc parts 👍
They have any computer part you need. Friendly helpful staff too.
Last resort for technicians and gamers who need a part RIGHT NOW... Forever may they reign ...
What can I say, they have it all from computer components to electronic necessities and all at extremely low and reasonable prices, would definitely recommend to anyone In need of upgrading their desktop or interested in cheap and well made electronics!
It was my first visit and the store was amazing. I found the hard to locate item i was looking with relative ease and checked out. I later checked my receipt to learn I had been charged $24.99 for an item I had decided against and the cashier removed from my order. That is when the disaster began. There was NO WAY to contact the store to correct the error and secure a fair refund. I tried telephone--no number for the local store, only for the national chain--hold times in excess of 60 minutes. Then I tried the so called real time chat feature. I entered my chat and was told I was 97 in the queue. This review gives 5 stars for the store and its merchandise selection and -0 for its so called customer service and support. Lesson learned, be very careful when you purchase anything at your local Micro Center store.
Cool place! Super helpful sales associates with experience. The sales folks are always asking if you need help finding anything. I love that they give you recommendations so you dont overspend on something you dont need. Ive been to this place a few times and never sat more than a few minutes in line to checkout. My only complaint is I inquired (today) about Micro Center building my PC and just about fell off my chair when they said they wanted $400. On their website it says $250 which I was cool with, but $400 - come on man!
Huge nerd store, I love it
We had to evacuate the building. They tried to do it quietly as opposed to making an announcement. Service was ok. I asked for a particular product the guy just walked me to the area & said u can find it here. When I didnt locate it he said oh we are out of stock for that & walked away. Not the type of customer service I usually receive when I visit. They are quick to put a sticker on the packaging.
Needs more training in customer service.
Every single time Ive been there the associates thread the needle of being absolutely helpful and just on the verge of being obnoxiously knowledgeable.
In-store only products are a terrible idea during the pandemic. I could have ordered the same product from Amazon for the same price but wanted to support my local brick and mortar store. But no good deed goes unpunished. I had to wait in a long line with guy behind me with no sense of personal space. When I asked him nicely to not crowd me, he laid into me verbally and threatened to fight me outside. The store was crowded and no one seemed to care about masks or social distancing. Other MC locations offer curbside pickup. Why not Marietta? Ill be ordering my parts online from now on.
I second the review before me. I ordered for in store pick up, i ordered, pay and get an email saying the item is not in stock. Then, I find out there is no more phone number to the store. I’m cancelling my order and will never shop here again. I’ve spent thousands of dollars here but never again. This type of mistake is inexcusable. In store may be fine but if I were you, I’d not trust the online ordering or inventory.
This store has the worst customer service and support I have ever experienced. You have to do a deep dive on the web to even get their phone number. They are very slow to respond to their support forum or emails. In store the service is great. This problem is due to bad management. Recently made an order, website said everything I requested was in inventory. When they sent me my email they informed me that one item is out of stock. They gave no inclination in the email as to what becomes of the money I paid for the item or when it will be available. I am finding it impossible to get in contact with anyone. If they fixed this horrible customer service issue that is constan, this would be an awesome place to do business. I literally abhor having to give these people money just to get amazon type prices but not have to wait for delivery. Please fix this customer service vacuum.
Was able to finally get the second dream GPU, the white Asus 3080. I just need to get the big one and Im done for it all.
Great selection but the staff focused too much on trying to up-sell. One associate was adamant that nothing less than an i5 and 8 gigs of ram was needed for light web browsing and would not suggest any other alternatives.
I am always been a fan of this place. Been to there NJ store many times and yesterday was first visit here.Micro Center has everything you need and want. There staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.
Love this place, so much stuff to check out. Always find what Im looking for.
On commission but theyre not pushy knowledgeable its the only place I buy stuff
I love this store, they always have the item I’m looking for and a reasonable price. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, if you can’t find what you are looking for, ask for help, they know where it is and can take you right to it!
Micro center is excellent. They have competitive prices, very helpful staff and a smooth check out process. All the tech stuff you would want.
If you need anything for a computer or network they have it. For an IT person its geek heaven.
This has always been my go to shop for technology. They feel like Radio Shack, but with brands I have heard of. I always enjoy shopping here and can spend more time in here than I really should. But its always worth the time.
This was our first trip to a Micro Center and we were not disappointed. The place was a clutter of electronic goodies, maybe a wee bit too cluttered. We were assisted by a very accommodating associate named Greg Schulz. With Gregs aid, we brought home two ultrawide monitors which we are now enjoying immensely! We would not have considered purchasing these monitors if we did not see how they performed in person. One of the very young associates also helped our son browse for a microphone, even though the chance of selling the mic was low. Service was friendly and the price we paid for the monitors was well under market price. This trip was well worth the six hour drive!
I found everything I needed quickly with assistance from the attentive staff.
Get your dork on at Microcenter. The place does a good job at keeping up with online retailers and the people are always nice.
A while back I decided to build my first computer. I drove a hour to Micro Center, I told them I was a first time builder and had a list of parts I wanted to use. They assigned me a knowledgeable sales person to help me find everything I needed. He also made some suggestions that made a big difference in helping me build a computer. I’m happy to report that with that help, I was able to go home and build the computer in a day. That was a lot faster than I expected and it was because of the help and advice I received as part of the buying experience! I have been back since for other purchases, and have always found the sales people to be helpful and knowledgeable. They will price match, but their prices are usually great already. They have a vast amount of inventory too. And if there’s something specialized you need, then they can order it for you. If you need computer parts, you are better off going to Micro Center rather than buying from some other online only retailer. It’s a better overall experience in many ways. And my first computer is still running great over a year later.
