Took my 2011 F150 here with a litany of different issues. Carters did an extremely thorough diagnosis of my truck and found a number of issues that the other shop I previously went to actually caused. Will definitely be making Carters my new primary mechanic. Very professional and quality prices at a quite reasonable price. My truck is running much better already.

This is the best service you can get! I’ve been taking my car to Carter’s for a few years and will never go anywhere else. I remember after the first time I took my car to them, I took a few of their business cards and started handing them out to family/friends because I was so impressed with them and wanted everyone to know about them! As a college female, I am extremely skeptical when mechanics try to convince me into getting hundreds of dollars of work done. Carter’s has always been so good to me, recognizing that I’m a broke college student and therefore they never pressure me into unnecessary and expensive fixes that my car can do without. They are so good at explaining the urgency or ability to wait a little longer before having certain things worked on. This shop has the most honest, down to earth employees who give the best customer service. Please take my advice and take your car to Carter’s! You will not regret it.

We have used Carters Automotive repair for years on all of our cars. Check engine light was on, Jeff Carter determined the problem and replaced the sensor in less than 45 minutes. I did not even have an appointment and they were super busy. They found time to keep my car running.

I got my clutch and flywheel changed over there. Excellent service as well as customer service, super nice & honest people. I’m very happy with the way my car drives now, my car got its power back. I’m never going to another shop again, not even for a basic oil change.I’ve been to other shops like BP and others, they lie to you to make a dollar and scare you into getting something done that you don’t need just so they can make money off you. It’s a lot of fear mongering at most of these other locations.

I have been a loyal Carter’s customer for over 4 years. We have 4 cars in our household and seem to always have one issue or another in addition to regular maintenance needs. Carter’s continually provides a quick turnaround on exceptional work at a fair price. These guys are so honest ALL THE TIME! They have never tried to sell me a service or repair that I didn’t need and have always been willing to diagnose any issues I have had and given me great advice along the way. Most recently they fixed an electrical glitch at my request that was driving me crazy and when my son’s car had a transmission issue they referred me to a transmission expert that was equally fair and honest. I am so incredibly grateful for the high level of customer service that I receive along with the exceptional and quality work. Highly recommend!!

Finding an automotive shop that works on old trucks with carburetors are hard to come by. Carter’s came highly recommended by another shop and they did not disappoint. I had several things that needed to be fixed on my truck and through the whole 2 week process I received updates from David on the progress and he even advised me on some repairs saving me several hundreds of dollars! Carter’s is now my go-to automotive shop!

They spent at least an hour trying to track down an issue with the cooling system. Plus They swapped out two ignition coils to troubleshoot a misfire and didn’t charge me because they didn’t recommend any repairs were needed right now. I’m very impressed.

I have been to Carters Automotive twice now and happy with both experiences. First they replaced my brakes, and today they checked out a noise in my car that had sprung up this morning. I stopped in without an appointment and they took the time to drive the car and otherwise check it out, even though I didnt have an appointment. I trust their assessment and the work theyve quoted me has been reasonably priced.

This was my first visit to Carters. My 2012 Avalon needed a 60K service. I called in the morning and was able to get an appointment on the same day. I was promptly and courteously greeted by Dave, and my car was taken into the garage soon after my arrival. The waiting area is comfortable with coffee and a big screen TV. Dave was very friendly and genuinely enjoys meeting and talking with people. My car was done within an hour or so, and I am very satisfied with the work they performed. I highly recommend this shop, and will definitely be bringing my family cars here for service.

I ended up taking my old car there to get new tie rods prior to selling it and they even offered to help me sell it, which is huge as a single mom meaning I didnt have to drive around meeting strangers or struggling to find time. They fixed it for a fraction of the price others quoted and sold it within 24 hours! Please go see them, they rock!!!

I had several cars that I wanted to buy checked out at Carters. He charged a fair price- however when the car looked to be bad at the beginning he said I wont even charge you for this. And he did that twice -no charge. This is a great place and honest people with fair prices. I highly recommend them.

David and Jeff are awesome! Took my 4Runner in with the engine running very rough. They took the time to methodically figure out the issue without charging for hours on hours of Labor. They figured out a way to fix the issue without the normal labor required. They even text when you cant talk to keep the process seamless and smooth. Great shop, very trustworthy, very fast.

Jeff and Scott are incredibly compassionate, hardworking, and thorough individuals. You really shouldnt be taking your vehicle anywhere else. They walked me through their diagnostics top to bottom and answered every question. They could have easily taken my money for a gas tank replacement, gas pump replacement, or any number of other repairs. Instead, they jumped my van because I was nearby so I could avoid a tow, and confirmed that all my problems were electrical and none were fuel related as suspected, and they simply replaced my battery with something more reliable. I was impressed with how calm I was during a stressful car situation, and Jeff and Scott going the extra mile for me made a huge difference. They are honest decent people, the likes of which you can only find in the American South. Thanks!

I had been avoiding a number of car repairs due to concerns of over-priced, alarmist repair shops taking me for a ride. Went here off of a recommendation and found the place up front, honest, and had a great experience. Great work for a fair price, and I really appreciated the extra steps they took to make me a better car owner (tips on repairs I can do myself to better take care of the car). I have FINALLY found what an auto shop should be - honest, trustworthy and wont overcharge you! I had taken my car to the dealer a couple weeks ago with an issue that was never even looked at. They told me what they thought it was without even diagnosing it. Their prediction of what needed to be replaced wouldve cost me about $1,000 if I had taken it back there. I then decided to try Carters Automotive, and Im SO happy I did! They diagnosed the real issue, which wasnt what the dealer thought and it ended up being a much simpler repair for only $150. Carters treats you so well, explains everything and only does what is needed. I will only go to Carters from now on!

I just used Carters Automotive to replace the starter in my Lexus RX350. I was in a huge time crunch and the Lexus dealership quoted me almost $1200 - knowing that I was desperate to get my car fixed because of an upcoming trip. After reading great reviews of Carters, I called Danny Carter and had my car towed to him from the Lexus dealership in the evening. My car was fixed the next morning and was HALF the price I was quoted at Lexus. They even washed it for me. As a mom of two young kids I very much appreciate the honesty, hard work and speed to which my car was fixed. I will definitely return to Carters and will also recommend them to family and friends.

Integrity and honesty are the two words that come to mind when I think of Carters. Today was the third visit to Carters for me. The first time, I brought my sons car. I had previously brought it to a local national chain store. The price I was quoted there was too high for a 1997 Escort. I tried Carters, but maintained some skepticism. Within a short period of time, the manager at Carters called me with details about the repair as well as the cost. I was VERY pleased with the cost. This led me to bring my wifes car last week to have brakes changed. Again, I felt that I was given a very reasonable quote. My third visit was today. I had been receiving a Low Tire Pressure light and filling the tire every few days. When I brought it to a local tire store and was told that the leak could not be fixed, I went to Carters. Again, I was EXTREMELY pleased. My tire was not only repaired, it was done within a very reasonable amount of time. Today being my third visit, I am now quite comfortable and confident in knowing that if I have a car issue, I dont need to look for the right garage. I found the right garage. Carters is fair, honest, and completes work in a timely manner. It is nice to know there is a mechanic that I can trust.

Super fast service. My oil gauge was jumping around this morning and the check gauge light came on. Stopped by Carters and they were able to put me right in. By time I had a cup of coffee, fresh brewed by the way, my car was ready. They even topped off fluids and greased the joints at no charge. Very nice people there. Ill be back.

The Carter brothers are very friendly, patient, and honest. Excellent pricing and they guarantee their work! They replaced the brake pads on my Scion xB in just a couple hours and on short notice. I expected it to be much more expensive than it was so I had been putting it off. Do yourself a favor and take your car to this shop; especially if its Japanese model!

Took my car in and he checked it out. He was upfront that the specific issue I am having with my hybrid car was something they were not able to take care of, but graciously gave me the info he has gathered and did not charge me anything. I will be going back there in the future.

The guys at Carters really earned my business! They replaced my timing belt, repaired my power steering pump (a long term problem I just hadnt fixed yet), changed my spark plugs and cleaned my lights for about the same price the dealer quoted to do the timing belt only. This is one of the only times in my life that Ive walked away from a car repair feeling like I saved money (instead of being taken advantage of). Ill definitely be back!

David and his brother were wonderful, professional and very kind. I recently moved to East Cobb from the south most part of Dekalb on the border of Henry county. The point is my regular mechanic is far! When my car stopped in Acworth I was so worried the prices on this side of town would be exorbitant. The price was very fair (verified by my long term mechanic and my dad,) the work was fast and well done. They even washed my car! I will definitely refer here and be back if I have any other issues (hopefully I wont!)
