I initially had my vehicle at another big name transmission shop and once I was told the amount I would charged, I knew I needed to find another alternative. I had just returned from vacation and was instantly stressed. I called around for quotes at several places. Most were able to give me a range of the their prices. Crown had the best price range, hands down. But the price doesn’t even compare to the service. From the first conversation with Macy, (who runs the shop), I felt I’d landed in a good place. I was being very picky about where I would go because my transmission should’ve lasted for much longer than it had and I didn’t want to be stuck with constant issues moving forward. After checking the car for me Macy called back and explained pretty much everything I had been experiencing with the car and what it will take to fix it. Throughout the repair process he kept me in the loop of what was happening and explained anything he didn’t need to replace. Macy is amazing! My brother called him from TX regarding my mothers car here in GA and and he spoke to my brother and walked him through step by step what the car needed. I am from Florida and had the misfortune of transmission failing in Marietta, GA. It also happened to be on a Saturday. The only place open was the local dealership. I brought the car there and was told a service technician would call me on Monday. I had to rent a car to drive back to Florida. On Monday morning I called the dealership to review a couple things in regards to my transmission. I was told the technician would be inspecting the car shortly and would call me with findings that afternoon. No call. In the meantime I called Crown transmissions to discuss my situation. Lacy was extremely friendly and made me feel at ease with the whole situation. Immediately I knew I could trust them with my car. I asked him if picking the car up from the dealer was possible and he said yes. Lacy arranged to pick up the car on Tuesday. (I lost a day trusting the car to the dealer). Lacys communication with me has to be the best Ive every experienced. I received a call from him almost every day assuring me the car was in good hands and explaining the difference in the parts he used versus GM quality parts (Ha, Ha). I am thankful I didnt use GM again as their transmissions have a reputation of failing. He rebuilt my transmission to factory specs with better parts. My wife drove 8 hours back to Marietta to pick up the car and Macy even picked her up at the rental car agency. I appreciated every thing he did for me and highly recommend him and his company. He asked that my wife called him when she returned home, no matter how late it was. He also called me the next day to confirm my wife made it safely. 2016 Honda Pilot transmission went out at 115,000. Took it to Honda dealership where it took them 3 days to diagnose. Quoted me an astronomical amount to replace transmission with used parts. Started calling around and found Macy. He picked up the car from the dealership that afternoon. Couldnt be happier with the decision. Took my Versa here for a complete transmission replacement in Oct. of 2018. Despite Macys (understandable) prodding to leave a review, I like to wait a year or two after a major service or expense to share a more long-term experience.Overall, I have nothing but positive things to say about this business. Macy was very informative and kept us up-to-date frequently on the repair. Things went smoothly and after picking up the car we noticed a massive difference in ride experience, as expected. The new transmission has been going strong ever since, and we have been very pleased.Of special note, some time after the repair we started noticing some hesitation and jerkiness when accelerating from a dead stop, which was concerning. We took the car back in and Macy called us the next day to explain the likely culprit was a rusted board in the rear tail lamp assembly. The taillight cover had been cracked and moisture had gotten into the assembly, corroding the board. This board communicates with the transmission and was the likely culprit. Macy recommended we replace the tail lamp assembly ourselves to save money and released the car free of charge. Sure enough, on replacing the tail lamp assembly. the problem subsided. I appreciated his honesty and not charging us for inspecting the vehicle. EDIT: The vehicle was within the 1 year warranty the shop provides on their work, but this was not related to their service so I appreciate not being charged.Overall, highly recommended. Ive since moved further from his location but would gladly travel the extra distance to use his service if needed.

I called to have a transmission I purchased installed by this shop and sadly I was informed they only rebuild transmissions. Disappointed that this is the highest rated shop in town and I can’t be serviced.

While your opinion is it cant possibly be Macy and he is never rude, he or whoever answered the phone in fact absolutely was, had a chance to apologize, but chose to justify it. Contacted Crown after my truck sat at another shop for weeks without any work being done... Spoke with Macy and explained what was going on... Ok, I didn’t even get my transmission repaired here in the end, because after Crown Transmission performed a full diagnostic and evaluation on my 2012 BMW 740i, I decided I would trade it in for something newer. However, I couldn’t go without saying that my visit was a very pleasant experience. They are very knowledgeable, professional and have excellent customer service.I hope I won’t have to, but if I ever need transmission work done on my car, I’ll be looking them up.

So thankful I stumbled upon Macy and his shop during a time of need for car repairs. I took my car in expecting for it to be out of commission for several weeks, but Macy had it running much quicker than expected. He works quickly but very efficiently, and knows what he is doing! Macy Khan, the owner, was extremely helpful to me - even without me taking my car to him directly. I had taken my car to a repair shop down the street from crown transmissions, and I called crown when I was given a diagnosis of needing a new/rebuilt transmission by the original shop. He was nice enough to go down the street to listen to the noises my transmission was making and confirm the need for a new transmission. He also took my phone calls whenever I had transmission questions or doubts during the process of getting my transmission replaced - this was all without me even being a customer. Hes a great guy and I would recommend him to anyone for his transmission knowledge and willingness to help.

This was my first experience (Jan 2019) with having a transmission replaced in a vehicle. I got my 2002 Honda Accord V6 transmission rebuilt by Crown Transmissions. I highly recommend this company. The price was very reasonable and Macy did an outstanding job explaining things, walking me through the process, and keeping in touch with updates. Im so glad to have my car back and running well! Since I had driven it since it was new, I knew everything else about it was in good shape. Now it is working well again. During the process, they looked at other components that were more accessible while the car was apart and replaced a few mounts (engine and transmission). He did a diagnostic and we decided to have the transmission rebuilt in our 2005 Mitsubishi Galant. During the whole process he keep us informed step by step. Very professional & great communication. My husband recently called Crown Transmissions when our SUV broke down in Marietta. A nearby Infiniti dealership did not carry the part, so we called to check with Macy at Crown and are we glad we did! Wow, they not only provided top notch repairs at a very fair and reasonable price, but provide exceptional customer service. Macy, the owner, takes personal interest and care of his customers, and we have not received that kind of personal attention from a repair shop in a very long time. Our vehicle could not be safely driven, my husband had to rent a car. I would highly recommend this shop. Took my 2002 4Runner in thinking my trans was going out, dreading a ~$2,500 rebuild. They kept the truck for a day, drove it, dropped the pan and inspected the trans and told me they didnt think it was a transmission problem. Crown replaced the fuel filter and recommended I changed the plugs and wires. Well, over the next week I brought the truck home, replaced my leaking valve cover gaskets and at the same time replaced my spark plugs and wires. When it was all back together, my truck was running fine again!Throughout the whole experience, Mr Macy kept in touch multiple times a day. Crown is not only honest and reasonably priced, but they actually troubleshoot your problem. All in all, they saved me about $2000. And for that, when I have a transmission problem in the future, Ill take my vehicle to Crown.Edit: problem ended up being a bad spark plug coil pack. So for less than a hundred bucks I fixed my issue. These guys could have ripped me off but didn’t, which I appreciate.

These guys are the best... super patient with the customer and accommodating...I checked all over town to find the right place to rebuild my transmission for a 2001 BMW X5 and these guys gave me a full tour of how they did it and what was to be expected. They finished the job quickly and at the price agreed upon. (Not an easy transmission to repair, but they got it right!)They even fixed a couple of extra things they noticed while under the car. During my personal automotive transmission problem, three month ago. I brought my vehicle to Macy with Crown Transmission, a 06 Lexus GS300 with a shifting problem, yes a somewhat ? command issue. Nevertheless, from the moment I spoke with Macy, I begin to feel optimistic that my problems might be over. Macy understood my transmission issue, and he also understood the unorthodox extended warranty industries method of attempting to provide little, or no coverage. Not only did he and his staff repair my vehicle, Macy provided storage for my vehicle until the extended coverage provided a portion of the cost factor. If you are looking for honesty this is the place! 5 stars is not enough. I came with my Land Rover freelander with transmission problems I knew repair would be expensive even more than the car value itself but here after inspection was told that my car had several problems and will be way more expensive to fix it I asked if it was better to buy a new car and the answer was Yes! I know if you go to other places they will try to fix it and charge you a lot of money but here you will find honesty and great service. I will recommend this place to everybody I know!! My husbands car went out and we got at least 3 quotes on transmissions that were for a minimum of $4500. I found this location on the internet for a fraction of the cost! I actually thought they were too good to be true, because they had the car towed and was also willing to work with me and my budget. Lastly, the owner was very nice and understanding.
