The hard drive on my laptop died and after calling the Geek Squad (dont waste your time) I came upon Steve. He was very responsive, courteous, and reasonably priced. He replaced the hard drive and returned it the next day and was nice enough to even drop it off. Definitely recommend him.

Super fast thermal paste reapplication for my gaming laptop. I noticed that it was slower than normal and the fans would kick on for no reason when running light programs. Offered review of RAM to assess the need for additional and honestly reported he did not think it was necessary.Speedy job and return of the laptop which is now functioning properly. Steve fixed my computer 100%. Now I have a computer just in case we ever have to take the rent to own one back. I now have a computer for my daughter to use when she goes to high school. She’s gonna be born in July so here’s to it lasting for a few years lol.My only problem is he used FedEx . If that’s the cheapest option I think it would serve him and the Coustmer well if he offered a slightly more expensive shipping method at a slightly higher price. Trust me I read FedEx reviews and dealt with there employees on Reddit. I would have gladly paid 10 (maybe 20) more dollars for the peace of mind and not having to go through the stress of reading all those bad reviews thinking it’ll happen to me.

I contacted Pomeroy, because of the reviews listed, but my experience was a nightmare. There have been no reviews for quite a few months, so maybe service has gone down hill during this time. I initiated contact with Pomeroy in early August 2018. I was looking to get a power jack fixed on a tablet/notebook. It took quite a few days to actually connect with the owner, but once I finally did, he gave me instructions on how to send to him and it would just take a few days to fix. I left town for a couple weeks, and was quite surprised there was ZERO communication from him when I got back. I initiated contact, and was informed I gave him the wrong model number and it would be more difficult to fix. This mind you is now early September and the first contact I have had with him since sending the machine weeks earlier. He did say however he would order a different part and fix it. The next 6 weeks was full of empty promises or totally be ignored. Half the time my emails would not be answered, and when I would send one letting him know I was upset, he would reply promptly and give me promises it would be fixed and shipped out in a couple days. The last communication, he said he had been waiting for parts, and he now had them and would fix and ship to me Monday or Tuesday . This had to be the longest wait for parts have ever seen. Another week went by, and I finally just told him ship it back. He did ship it back, and to be honest it doesnt even look like it was taken out of the original bubble wrap I sent it in. Maybe it was, but I must say, this company was the flakiest, non responsive, run around company I have dealt with in quite some time. I had this repair done for a client, whom I have now lost because of Pomeroy. I would not recommend this company, and I certainly would never deal with them again. Zero stars if possible. * - I see the review was answered with a COMPLETE LIE. I stated, I gave him the incorrect model #. He said he could still fix it. He CERTAINLY did not reply promptly. I would send two and three emails that would go unanswered. Sent back promptly? LIES. I was told it would be sent back 10 days before I finally had to send an angry email and demand it back. Clearly he is attempting to Cover his own screw ups and horrible service. There is no excuse for ANY company to have your repair for 3 months. Unfortunately STEVE, should learn to tell the truth. Trying to help me? I was met with every excuse imaginable and 3 months later and one less client, I still have a broken tablet that he insisted he could fix.

I have used Pomeroy Computing twice in the past couple of years and have gotten awesome service both times. First, my daughter knocked her Dell laptop off the bed and onto the floor of her dorm room which cracked the male end of her charger and destroyed the DC adapter. Being in college she desperately needed the laptop fixed and fast. I searched the internet for repair places because my local place wanted $400 to fix it. After looking at several repair places I ran across Pomeroy and liked the price. When I checked some reviews and the BBB decided to give them a try. My laptop is fine, just the power cord loosened and loosened then no longer charged at all (just wouldnt connect). Google turned up this place. Everyone local either didnt return my email/call or were charging more than the laptop was worth. Emails with Pomeroy were returned fast, calls answered within a couple of rings. Sent it off and a week later (from mailing) I get an email saying its ready. Paid for the service (after it was fixed) and got it back within another week. Works great. I was very skeptical at first about sending my computer to parts unknown to be fixed by someone I did not know and only had web reviews to go by. Of course, my family made fun of me for mailing my daughters computer off with the chance that it would never be seen again. After being told a jack repair would be over $250 to repair through HP because my warranty has expired I searched the web and can across this company. I was a little hesitant at first about sending my computer to a stranger. When the USB port failed we called Dell and they quoted $270.00 to do the repair. Busted Power PortI tripped on the power cord one too many times and damaged the power port on my Asus. Over the last few months I managed to get by with the problem by putting some pressure on the cord to force a connection between the port and the motherboard. The problem finally got so bad that I was no longer able to establish any kind of connection and could not charge my laptop.I considered buying a new laptop all together until I found out about Pomeroy Computing and the service that they provide. I shipped my laptop from Arlington, VA to their office and had it back within 1 week and I couldnt be happier with the result! The port is working perfectly and Im able to charge my laptop again. I did not like the idea of shipping my computer off to Florida. But worse was the exorbitant cost of having it repaired where I ive. I run a computer repair business in Upstate NY, Gloversville called Computer Doctor and ran into a laptop motherboard that needed the dc connector replaced. This particular board required the type of desoldering tool that I did not have among-st my tools. I came across in my search on Google, Pomeroy Computeing. I made the mistake of loaning my Asus G72GX laptop to a friend. When it came back, it was totally dead with visible damage, missing USB connectors, no measurable voltage anywhere. I took it to two local repair shops and both looked at it and told me they would not touch it. My alienware laptop had gotten so bad that it could no longer stay connected to a power source. My original adapter died off but I had a few issues here and there, ended up on my 2nd replacement thinking it was the power cord. When I learned it was the DC Jack I looked online for a place to fix it and I found Pomeroy Computing and sent my computer over to them. I learned the hard way that one of the weak spots on a laptop is the DC connector. Considering I am quite mobile, I plug and unplug it alot. One morning when I plugged it in to re-charge it didnt click into place...the internal pin in the plug receptor broke. Considering I was hosting a webinar the next day, I started to panic when I called around and found it would be $200+ and 14+ days to get it fixed, since they outsource it.I continued to google for help and ran across Pomeroy Computing. I was a little worried about sending my computer to Florida, but I researched Pomeroy Computing and read the reviews, looked them up on BBB. They had one complaint on BBB but they responded to the complaint and their response was logical. I also called them to talk about my issue, I left them a message and Steve called me back within 15 minutes. I shipped it to them on a Tuesday they received it on that Friday, Friday night I got an e-mail from Steve informing me that he had fixed it and that he would ship the computer out Monday.
