Been fishing with Captain John and Captain Jack for 3 years now and it has been nothing short of amazing. We specifically target tarpon, but these guys do it all and 100% will put you on fish. Fishing aside, they are very knowledgeable, have great stories, and make the time on the boat extremely enjoyable. I look forward to this trip every year!

I love fishing with the legendary Capt Jack!! He’s one of the key’s originals and definitely knows the water like the back of his hand. He’s taught me new fishing techniques, he’s shared lots of awesome and unique stories, and has put me on several tarpon, black grouper, and toothy critters 🦈! We always have such a great time fishing together! Can’t wait till the next trip.

My husband and I went fishing with Captain John while we were in Marathon, FL for our honeymoon. It was an awesome experience! He asked if we were wanting to catch fish to eat or go fishing for big fish. We started our trip by fishing for bait to catch our sharks! Captain John knew exactly where to go and was a great guide that made the experience fantastic! We will be coming back and continue to recommend Callion Fishing with Captain John to everyone!

Perfect place to fish, caught over 60 fish in 2 days as well as 5 shark! Captain jack is a great boat captain and knows his stuff when it comes to fishing of all species!!

I fished Nov 2020with my two sons age 11 and 8 and their friend. Captain Jack put us on fish as soon as we dropped anchor. We got plenty in a short few hours and even the newbie friend was hooked and wants to fish for a living now. Thanks Captain Jack. Be back soon!

My wife and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary in the Florida Keys. Our week together was planned with beach lounging and taking in the best of the Keys has to offer namely Callion Fishing Charters. Captain John was a delight and so accommodating. His flexibility with dates was so helpful as our original scheduled charter was a wash due to rain. Having foreknowledge of our anniversary, we were asked what would we like to fish for; fish to eat, or fish to fight? My wife asked if we could do both. John’s knowledge of the ocean and fish hotspots were dead on! John first took us about 10 miles out and we landed on a nest of 2-4lbs Mangrove Snapper. After catching what we wanted for dinner, we traveled about a couple miles to where Barracuda hung out. My wife’s first cast landed a Cuda! Shortly after some repositioning, I landed a killer cuda! It was great!! After enjoying the strikes of the Cuda, John asked if we wanted to fight with some shark. Obviously, it was a Yes!! John took us to a spot near land and the 7 mile bridge. A short 10 min later we were fighting Lemon and Black tip shark. It was amazing. The Shark ranged from 80 to close to 200lbs!! John knew exactly how to help us enjoy our time on the water.

The best day of our 8 day vacation was with Capt Jack. Blast to fish with and he put us on fish from the first cast til the trip was over. Amazing day. Will be back for sure.

Excellent charter today, despite less than perfect conditions. John put us on a the fish, a bonanza of Snapper, Spanish makerel, and a few monster sharks. Highly recommend

Owner John doesnt pay his bills. Changes his business license every year or so, most likely to avoid paying taxes or fees. I wont trust my money in his hands anymore. Much better charters to support!

This was our second trip that we went fishing with Captain John (2x) and, even in the offseason, he put us on all the fish we wanted. John is a class act who puts his customers first and ensures every trip is filled with enjoyment. Even when our little guy wasn’t feeling so hot on the boat, he made him as comfortable as possible. He’s a great captain for kids and adults alike and genuinely, just a great human. We look forward to fishing with Captain John every time we find ourselves in the Keys!
