I originally purchased wedding jewelry in 2006. Since then I have religiously done my 6 month check ups. Every 6 months, I had rings Rhodium plated because I was told that was the only way to get them looking like new. Fast forward to 7/28/2021, I meet Steve at the Maplewood MN store. I tell him I want the Rhodium plating and inspection. Steve questions me why but in a way that he is also educating me on what is really being done. He was very professional about it. He stated that he would like to polish the rings and then if not satisfied, he will set them up for what I originally asked for. Steve does his magic and the rings look amazing! Historically, even after the Rhodium and having to leave the rings for a day, I still need my wifes ring cleaned better. FF to today and I look even under the microscope and I find no dirt. I am absolutely amazed at what Steve has just accomplished. Steve not only cleaned/polished the rings, but also educated me on how I was actually hurting my jewelry by doing what I had been in the past 15 years. He is the 1st person to actually know jewelry I believe (other than Amy who i originally purchased with). Steve has renewed my confidence in Jared (I was actually starting to wonder what the difference was between them and a mall jewelry place based on past few years experiences). The new management is fantastic. Steve, the new assistant general manager, helped me out with their selection of time pieces and put a great deal of his time into making sure I had a watch that worked with my style. They have a disturbing amount of g-shocks at this time (gross) but other than that, the selection of watches is good, and so far the service has been fantastic!

I had the pleasure of working with Sadat. He is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I walked into this store with literally zero knowledge or understanding of the industry or what I was actually looking for. Sadat took the time to get to know me and my wants for my piece I wanted. At the end of your experience I walked out happy and knowing I get the best bang for my buck. I highly recommend Jareds to anyone looking for any fine jewelry and I even more so recommend seeking out Sadat for his expertise and service. 10/10

First things first...if you want a place that will take care of you...go here.There is a huge price range for jewelry and the staff is insanely friendly (shout out to Jacob and Kendall!!! You two are amazing!). Jacob helped my fiance and I find an engagement ring that fit my style and could handle the daily beating of a service job. He recommended a bulkier setting and managed to find this gorgeous sapphire (it shifts between lavender, a grey tone, and this gorgeous clear blue depending on light) PLUS we had the ring back by the end of the day Christmas Eve. Weve gone back now for bands and managed to find this dainty one, Kendall ordered us a second band and it was in store less than a week later. By 5pm I had it sized, my engagement ring and one band soldered together, ready for me to get my grubby little hands on them. I love my ring set up and the personal touches the staff give make me want to stop in just to say hi if we are in the area (seriously, Jacob has made an effort to remember that we are gamers and we ended up chatting games for like 15 minutes before we left.).TLDR; Jacob and Kendall are boss salespeople who work with you and your budget... if I could rate higher than 5*, I would.

Went in today to look at wedding rings for my fiance and myself, as well as to have my engagement ring cleaned. Not only were we able to find rings well within our budget, we were met with excellent customer service in the process. We didnt feel pressured to spend more money than we wanted. It honestly felt like we were buying from our very excited aunt who would give anything to see us happy. We will definitely be going back!

I went to this Maplewood, Mn. store 3 times in 3 months. The 2nd & 3rd times, I had an appointment. I didn’t realize the 1st time that I needed an appt. I made an appointment from my car in their parking lot. They didn’t have any customers in the store or parking lot. It took them a long time to let me in. The 2nd appointment, staff was very unprofessional & rude & again, no other customers were in the building. I am easy going so I figured that the newly hired staff were having a bad day. 3rd time we had an appointment. We weren’t let in when we came to the door & neither were the contractors who were working on the entryway door. We waited patiently & still nothing. After a long wait, we called & cancelled & contractors were still waiting to be let in to work on the doorway. I have never seen worse service in my life, only @ the MAPLEWOOD Jared. Other Jared’s, especially the Edina location, all of the staff was courteous & helpful. I almost gave up on Jared & didn’t know who to comment to, since ALL of the employees there seemed to be having an off day. I am hoping that the CORPORATE OFFICE sends a pretend customer to verify if the new staff needs direction & help or possibly a new manager @ that location. I didn’t comment after the 1st or 2nd time, but after going to other jewelry stores & meeting helpful staff that seems to love their job, EDINA location, & then comparing it to Maplewood staff, who seem to not want to be bothered by customers, I thought it only fair to warn the public that this is probably not the Jared store that they will want to visit. Drive a few extra miles to get to a different location & they will be glad that they did. I have no idea where they got these disgruntled workers from, but if the higher ups compare the sales @ this location compared to the others they will realize why the sales are down.

My fiancé and I stopped in yesterday at 6:15 pm to look at some wedding bands and were rudely shoed away. The door was locked and a woman came out with a ton of attitude claiming they were closing in 5 minutes even though their website says 7pm. We knew our trip would be short because I am looking for something particular (we spent 15-20 minutes at another store previous to stopping at this one) but she made us feel like a huge inconvenience to her. The employee had so much attitude it made me never want to go back. Awful first impression and terrible service!

This location could use some extra staff training in customer service and how to properly complete a transaction. The low score is all from one lady who had no idea what she was doing, messed up our entire purchase and then another lady who said “you’ll have to call the finance number” when it had nothing to do with them, she just refused to help. The rest have been great and helpful. It’s just a shame because those 2 people have completely ruined our experience there.

Every time I go into this store it is always very clean, the employees are always smiling and very friendly. Andraya was the one who helped me last time. She is very helpful and super knowledgeable about all the jewelry and especially the diamonds. I was able to find exactly what I was looking for with her help. I went into Jareds to buy an engagement ring. The sales associate mentioned if I signed up for a Jareds credit card it would be 1 year interest free. I was approved for the credit card and walked out with my new engagement ring. Just a few months later after looking at the billing summery, I see that I am getting charged interest at a ridiculous monthly rate (27%). I call to see why this was the case, and find out the sales associate never set me up for that promotional deal. In order to get the deal you had to put down 20% of the purchase amount. He never told me that or even mentioned it to me. Now I am out over 300 dollars that all went to interest. After calling multiple times and going into the store twice, all they said to me was Sorry that really sucks, there is nothing we can do about it. Jareds messed up and wouldnt take responsibility to fix it or even offer anything to compensate me. Never going to back there again because they stole my money. I would have never signed up for the credit card without the 1 year interest free.

My husband bought my diamond wedding band there, and its gorgeous. It perfectly complements the engagement ring, which we had bought elsewhere. They do all repairs on-site, and as quickly as 1.5 hours, next-day at the latest. And always plenty of associates to help. Whether it was a $150 pair of earrings for my daughter, or a thousand dollar purchase, they have always treated me well.

I purchased a movado watch over a year ago now there was instantly an issue with it. So I brought it in to get it exchanged or refunded, they said they would order 1 to replace it so to the defect. Been over a year still haven’t heard anything or received a replacement. So now I just have a broken watch. If you tell a customer you’re going to follow up with them once you get them a replacement you should follow up with them to at least tell them the progress. Thank you for lying and giving false hope.

Got a tungsten ring from Jared. Now fast forward 7 years and high five from my wife and the ring breaks in two, however I do remember that I also bought their service plan and it was not covered. Did anyone offer to do anything...of course not, well they did try and sell me another ring.

I absolutely love this location. We came here after a bad engagement ring shopping trip at another store. The staff here treated me like royalty. I tried on many rings and was able to find *the* ring. We later had issues with our billing. We came into the store pretty upset, and walked away happier than ever. We will only buy our diamond jewelry from here now. So grateful for the staff here!!

Guys don’t shop here for wedding rings. I bought my now wife’s wedding band here. When I bought it my wife asked the sales lady if we could have the band soded to the ring after the wedding. The sales lady looked at my wife’s diamond ring and said they would be able to Soder it. 6 months after the wedding my wife wanted to have the band and ring Soder together. She took it on to Jared cause they said they would do it. The sales lady that helped my wife told my wife the diamond was fake in her ring. Then says I guess it not fake but we can’t Soder them together cause you didn’t by the wedding ring from us. So I bring it in to get Soder and they tell me they won’t do it cause of the way the diamond is cut. So i asked to return the wedding band. They gave me my money back. Now We’re shopping for another wedding band. Oh so fun it is not. So guys save yourself a head ache and don’t shop here. Take a good look at the place inside. It’s gross. The ceiling is very dirty and the carpet is so worn out and it’s lifting in spots. The displays are dirty and the velvet is jacked up. If you go to a real jewelry store you won’t see that.

It was my first time in a Jared store and they were excellent in customer service. I ended up opening an account there and realized that I couldve gotten a greater discount with their in store coupon than with my own after I already left the store. I went back in and talked to the jewelry consultant and she fixed it for me right away which saved me a ton more money. Jared is the only place where Im going to buy my jewelry from now on.

They have really bad customer service. I asked Courtney the blond one what the clarity and color scale of my diamond is and to make me a card with all the info she told me because my diamond is preset she couldnt. I know this is not true. The. She told me I can buy a loose stone and trade this one for $600. I asked how she knew this diamond was worth 600 if she doesnt know what the color or clarity scales or even the weight is she said she doesnt know. The few times that Ive been in there the associates never know anything. Dont plan to ever buy anything from there. Had to call customer care just to get any real information.

We went to this location today (12/23/2016) to purchase another band to add onto my wedding ring. My husband was signing up for a credit card through them and the lady assisting him asked his income, he told her. She then asked what our household income is with mine and his. He told her what our income was. She decided to respond with, oh, someone has themselves a sugar mama!. I could not believe she said that!! It is completely rude and degrading towards my husband. As if its not hard enough giving out personal information in this day and age, when we choose to, my husband gets a verbal slap in the face from this employee!We will NEVER go back to Jared! We will continue to take our business to KAY Jewelers across the parking lot in the mall. Absolutely disgusting and Jared should really think again about the people they are allowing to work for them.

Ive always loved Jared for jewelry- no matter where you go you always get items back super quick. My wedding is in 2.5 weeks and when another jewelry store screwed up my ring and wouldnt have it back in time I went to Jared, got the same thing and I picked it up 1 day later! They also helped us figure out how to return the previous items to the other jewelers. We worked with Dan S. for our purchase and he was so honest and personable that he made the whole appointment a blast. He made a stressful and horrible situation into something beautiful! That might sound sappy, but thats the only way I can describe it. Thank you to all of the staff at this store- and if you need a beautiful ring for your wedding this is the place to go!

Had a ring downsized due to it being too lose on my pinky finger. They not only resized it but they polished it, and dipped it in rhodium to restore the white gold finish on the ring. Same day process, very satisfied.

I would give them less than a one if i could. Service was beyond AWFUL and the story is far too long to go into details. The summary is that my husband entrusted Jared to make me a new wedding ring. We delt with them for 2 months before going accross the street to Wedding day. It took them (wedding day)a month from start to finish to start and complete my ring that is high quality and absolutly amazing. My advice, dont waste a minuet of your time at Jared or Kay(theyre owned by the same company). Save yourself pain and suffering and go to Wedding Day!

2017August31st - Im here at the Maplewood Jareds and there are 3 workers on the floor, all helping customers; been here for over 20 minutes to pick up a ring (a 90-second transaction). When one of the employees was done with a couple, I asked if he (or if there was someone that) could help one of us with a yellow pick-up slip (a very obvious indication of a pick-up, which seemed like a great idea to identify what a customer was there for) before they got into a much-longer situation with one of the couples without a yellow pick-up slip. He explained that hes real sorry but they must go in order of when people arrive (which seems like a fair idea...in general), but I explained that my (and another ladys) transaction would be 90 seconds at most, and then he could get back to the couples who were picking out jewelry. He apologized again and said thats not how they do it and someone would get to me after the others were helped first. He wasnt a jerk (which is why I gave 3 stars) and I can respect the attempt at fairness, but the illogical customer-service of it all was pretty frustrating. Nobody wanted to rush the couples looking at their jewelry choices, but a customer shouldnt have to wait over a half hour to pick up a ring; a transaction that literally took 64 seconds just now (yep, Im in my car now, finishing this review). Im disappointed that theres not a yellow-slip policy or a quick check-in-with-a-yellow-slip-customer-to-see-if-theyre-just-picking-up-and-there-arent-any-questions-to-deal-with policy to get them out of the store so they can spend their time on the customers who need their help. Am I being unreasonable with this just because I was the one trying to pick up a ring that was ready? I dunno; Im probably biased at the moment. I wont be back to this location....theres gotta be some place that understands what Im trying to say, right? Maybe Ill be back to let you know my expectations are too high and this location is the best we have to work with. May your Jareds experiences be better than mine. - Julie

Only reason I am leaving three stars is because they were able to re-size my ring within the same day, which I am grateful for. However, the customer service at this location could use much improvement. I went in today to pick up my ring, something that should be fairly quick, right? Nope! I waited almost a half hour, and I was not even greeted. The three associates were helping other guests, which I understand, but another lady and I were just left waiting and waiting, and these associates couldnt even take a second to say Hey, we will be with you as soon as we can be Actually, none of them would even make eye contact or acknowledge either one of us. Finally when one of them was done with a guest, I had to approach her and asked her if she could please assist me. I told her I just need to pick up my ring that I had re-sized. I had my slip in my hand thats needed for verification to pick up, and I cant believe what she did. She literally SNATCHED the slip out of my hand, and told me that she was helping someone else. The someone else that she was helping was done being helped and was walking out the door at this point! I apologized to her and let her know, I had been waiting for a half hour, and I hadnt even been greeted yet. She stomped back to retrieve my ring, and by the time she brought it back up to me, she was trying to be somewhat kind, I guess she realized her unprofessional behavior... needless to say, I wasted almost an hour just to pick up a ring, something that should have taken five minutes, and was treated very disrespectfully. For future servicing, I will take my business elsewhere or to another location.

Poor customer service. I had an item fixed and was told I would receive a call back when it was finished as they didnt know when it would be done . I waited to hear back, after a week I called and a lady named Laurie was rude, she did not listen and told me that is was done on the time I was provided, making a rude comment about how it was done for a long time and that they were waiting on me. She didnt even take the time to listen to my question and tried to hang up before I could get clarification.

I just experienced one of the most cruel racial discrimination moments in my 25 years of life. The staff at this location are beyond rude! We waited 30 mins for to be helped and once the women that told us to wait was available she helped a white family that just came into the location not even 5 mins ago. When we brought the concern to her attention she looked at us and continued to help the other family. When we walked up no one apologized or was concerned about us in any way!! This location is full of races for all that I am concerned. I guess that blacks dont have money to spend! Smh

I had an amazing experience with this Jareds location. I recently purchased an engagement ring through Kay Jewelers and was less than please with their customer service and when I sent my ring out to be resized it came back a quarter size larger than we had discussed. Not wanting to go without my ring for an additional two weeks, I drove to the nearest Jareds in Maplewood to see if they could resize my ring without voiding my warranty I had with Kays. Although I did have to pay for the resizing, they had it back to me within 3 hours. The staff was great and so much more helpful than what I received through Kays. I would highly recommend Jareds to anyone in the future.

Wow!! bought my wifes engagement ring for nearly 10K at a different store, obviously paid way too much because I was naive at the time. They offered me $900 for the ring. 900? Another store paid 4200. How is there that much of a difference? And there diamond buyer was the one I dealt with.
