Coop’s Miata did a superb job with my Mazdaspeed Miata. I took my car to Coop’s to have several items addressed. The most important issue was fixing a significant brake squeal issue, which had perplexed two Mazda dealers and two local brake shops. Coop’s quickly identified and completely resolved the issue. Additionally, when I picked my car up, it was perfectly dialed in handling wise - a noticeable difference from when I dropped it off. Price for this expert service was very fair. Bottom line, I will only be taking my Miata to Coop’s for maintenance in the future. This shop is fantastic.
Big fan of Coops! Got to work with Bobby on my 01 Miata for regular maintenance and a radiator install. Communication during the maintenance and install was great, and the shop was super thorough in testing to make sure everything was in working order. Will be taking my car here going forward.
Outstanding knowledge and quality of work. Easy to work with! Best wrenches in town.
Owner is very reputable and fair also a really nice guy you wont be disappointed!
They helped me fixed a sensor/header issue that several previous mechanics couldnt figure out. Yeah, this is def the spot for pesky Miata repairs.
I had a great experience at Coops shop. I came here to have my tires mounted and balanced on my Subaru STI, and they were professional about the entire process. Even though theres a Firestone that I could have gone to less than a mile away, it was worth driving the 30 minutes to their shop to have the work done. Thank you guys! Also, they didnt change my seat position! I highly appreciate this as most shops change your seat position and your car feels all weird afterwards.
This is the best place to have a Miata serviced . Coop is very experienced and pleasant to work with .
I had a new soft top installed here and they did a beautiful job!
Very professional and knowledgeable people. Trustworthy and willing to inform customers. I will be bringing all my vehicles to them from here on out. I highly recommend Coops Miata Repair & Services for all diagnosis and repair issues.
Coop and Bobby are great help!!
Have had work done by them a few times now. Coop and Bobby do amazing work and know miata’s inside and out!
Great professional service and honesty! They were very transparent on what was needed and extremely knowledgeable in the communication of the issues. Very pleased with our experience!
Coops did an inspection on an MX5 that my daughter purchased from a private party. During the inspection it was discovered that the car had been in an accident as I was worried about from searching the VIN after my daughter bought the car. Coop and Bobby spent time pointing out areas of damage and giving advice. It turns out this car was sold without disclosing that it is not safe to be on the road. There is no structural support behind the front bumper as well as other problems. After taking all that time to inspect her car and give advice Coop was more than reasonable about the charge for the inspection. We had heard many good reports about Coops and we feel that he is honest and trustworthy.Coops truly cares about us and our car. We are coming back to see Coops when we get a different Miata. He can inspect that car before we put any money down.
I will not bring my Miata anywhere else. The man is a perfectionist and is passionate about his work. Coop did a complete tune up on my 2002 Miata including timing belt, water pump, and differential service. He also gave me many pearls of wisdom. His shop is not like the dealer showroom and it might take a little longer, but you will not get the attention to detail from anywhere else. It has been 20,000 miles since he has done the work on my vehicle and it is flawless. Though I am not a mechanic by trade, I come from a long history of mechanics and service managers. Coop is the best!
Great customer service, got my truck finished faster than anywhere else and great communication. I am a loyal customer after my experiences here.
I tried a number of car shops to help resolve a problem before going to Coop. Each shop charged high rates but could never fix the issue. I finally took my car to Coop after a number of other bad experiences and Coop was able to diagnose and fix the problem within a day! He and his staff were extremely knowledgeable about miatas and charged modest fees. I was very pleased with the service and intend to take all my miata related business to him.
I bought a crank from him (Told him I needed a 1.6 LNC). I got the crank turned (150$) then took it to perpetual balance and got the rotating assmbely balanced (200$). Went to put the engine together and he sold me a 1.8 Crank. I called him and he told me it was my fault for not checking the crank (That I bought from a Miata business!). So I still needed a crank, I went down there on 01/23/18 to purchase the correct crank. He guaranteed me it was a 1.6 LNC out of a manual car. So I bought yet another crank. Took it got it turned (150$) and when it went to balance he said the flywheel bolts wouldn’t line up. Found out today (02/09/18) that he sold me a crank out of an Automatic Miata. He offered me no reimbursement (either time!) and now including the price of the cranks I out 600$. He once again said it was my fault for not checking. He obviously doesn’t know Miata’s as well as he says he does.I wouldn’t ever think about buying anything from Coop. He has no idea what he’s talking about. When I went down there on 01/23/18 he told me that low compression pistons, forged rods and upgraded oil pumps were a waste of money and you could get the same power reliably off of stock internals. He has no clue what he’s talking about and if he sells you the wrong part he won’t take responsibility.
Coops is my first choice for specialty care for my 1990 Miata. Youll have a hard time finding someone who knows more about Miatas.
The finest Miata technicians this side of the Appalachian mountains.
Can they fix a broken heart here😔😔
Coop obviously isnt as well known on google as he is on the west coast. I wouldnt let anyone else touch my MSM.
