Scheduled an appointment for my child prior to school start only to find out the person on the phone clicked the wrong date and scheduled the appointment for then. This appointment was to be able to get his medications refilled and his follow up. They didnt seem to care one bit about that when I called on what was supposed to be the appointment day and had messages with a nurse stating the appointment would be on the day I had agreed to. Then get told my sons medications wont be filled unless he has an appointment to be seen.. So now my son is without medications because of their workers mistake and I couldnt get him in until the end of October. Also when our provider was on maternity leave someone was supposed to check in with us and that never happened one time while she was gone. I am just so frustrated and ready to find a new clinic.
One star is pushing it, lucky they don’t have it set up to wear you can rate them 0 stars because that’s what they would get. This places cares more about money than helping keep people sane and alive. They are a complete joke. Their “therapists” might as well pack it up and go find a new career because they are the most inconsiderate, inconsistent and most unprofessional group of people I have ever met. They would let you die before they ever made themselves available to you and what you suffer through on a day to day basis. If you’re thinking about sending a loved one to them or going yourself I would highly suggest you think twice and go somewhere where you are actually valued, seen and heard. You will not see that from this group of careless people. Don’t waste your time or money, they don’t deserve it and you deserve more!
I loved my counselor Dan but the company itself is terrible. They do have some good Practitioners though when it comes to chemical dependency. Therapy for anything else... Not so much.
I have a college degree and my wife has a smart certificate. We are not blonde. Some Practitioners need to learn the difference between personal and business along with criminal and medical. Time to grow up and act like an adult. Are you book smart or patient smart? Hint: Trick question. Our Practitioner is not the right fit for his career, he needs to pick a new career. Remember to cut off communication with other facilities when they received your records, sometimes you have a huge team in on your visit and a group of people talk after you leave about the visit and yes this company is in it for the money.FYI: WE DO NOT HAVE ADDICTION ISSUES or CRIMINAL ISSUES
The best part about coming into Nystrom is how friendly and patient the front counter staff are! Its so refreshing. Lindsey M.; In particular, at the Maple Grove location is the best! She always rembers my wife and Is name when we visit. We wait until she is available so she can check us in. Instead of talking about going to a mental health facility my wife and I always talk about our appointments to go see Lindsey. :)Thank you so much Lindsey for your kindness and assistance making insurance updates and checking-in such a pleasant experience. I hope you are recognized on a regular basis for your exceptional customer service skills. Nystrom is lucky to have you.- A & E
Ive had a very positive experience! Im new to therapy and feel like Im being heard and cared for.
This place is an absolute Joke. Do not go here if your serious about your recovery. Its all about money to then their assessors must get paid under the table to send you to their preferred locations but none of what they do there is for the benefit of the client. 0 out of 5 stats dont waste your time they also over charge for a rule 25.
I had a great experience during intake. I felt like the therapist really listened to me. Im excited to keep going on my journey.
Beyond Exceptional are the words that come to mind when I think of the care and patient services I have received in the past 1+ years since I found Nystrom and Associates in Maple Grove. I have suffered from PTSD for 7+ years, seen many different doctors, multiple EMDR therapists, even admitted myself to a Residential program out of state at one point, and was almost to the point of thinking I would never recover. Then, I met Rochelle Gredvig at Nystrom and Associates, and my world began to change. She is truly dedicated to her patients; well beyond anyone in the medical/mental health field I have worked with. She takes the time to fully understand what you are struggling with, and creates a plan to best fit your needs. You are not a One size fits all. You will immediately see that you matter, and that she has the patience to work with you at your comfort level. I simply cant say enough positive things about her and how caring, intelligent, and helpful she is. As for the rest of the staff at Nystrom and Associates, they have also always been extremely helpful, curteous, and prompt at contacting me, when needed. To those who have posted negative reviews, Im not sure where you have received help before, but I promise you, that for a facility that offers collaborative care under one roof, it will feel like Mission Impossible anywhere else. I feel blessed that I finally found a company and personal therapist who really care about their patients/clients.Sincerely,~Stacie
Absolutely terrible. What kind of therapist leaves you after an appointment thinking to yourself, I made it this far, i guess i can make it a little farther. Leaving someone feeling completely ignored and alone. Great job.I am doing everything I can to convince my mother to go ANYWHERE else. Somewhere that provides actual support.
I had the worst experience that I’ve ever had with a counselor here. Fortunately I made a change and since have seen others that have exceeded my expectations. Feel strong enough to create a two way discussion on your appointments and make the decisions that bring you to a hopeful future. That may mean a change of therapy.
I did the Day treatment program here I learned a lot about myself and pushed through some difficult challenges along the way I had a great teacher Ray Stafford. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for day treatment the down fall I didn’t like was that there is NO longer the choice of afternoon day treatment I could only do the afternoon option and I had to finish earlier because it was going to change to just morning. Bring back the afternoon option.
I can never get my medications properly prescribed to me in an efficient manner. The nurse line utterly useless. Ive left a voicemail when their office closes at 4:30. I get home anywhere from 5 to 6, left that voicemail and have not received a call back. I have left my name and number two times for them in the voicemail. When I do finally get home earlier I wait a half an hour for no one to pick up and was forced into the voicemail. It is now almost 15m to 4:30 and I need my medications refilled TODAY. Ive waited long enough. I have been having problems for the past year and a half.My psychiatrist also does not check their messages and is more often than not trying to put me on medications that do not work for me or gives me bad skin reactions. Like Im some kind of lab rat. Ive been with Nystrom since I was a teenager. Im done with this place and their prestigious doctors that are too busy getting paid to help their clients.Seriously, look at their nails or what they wear. They flaunt their money for selling you drugs that can kill you.
Would give zero stars if I could. Awful. Do not go here
They care about money and money only!!!!!Most of the counselors in the addiction groups have no idea what there doing. They have never experienced any type of addiction. But they have read them learnin books and got some schooling LOL. Waste of time and money
I have been going here for 4 years I really like my therapist and the facility
I must say, I am extremely distressed about the reviews I am seeing. My son has an intake appt this week and I am very concerned. So far our experience has been one of no returned calls a couple of times, and when my son showed up for his appt the first time, they said it had been cancelled and that they had called him. It is papramount that a client be heard, that family members and parents be heard ...our love for your clients and intimate details and experiences can assist you, because sometimes the client isnt giving you the real story. Access to medication and reasonably returning phone calls is not only good business practices but critical in helping to manage these clients, And their mental and physical health. Sometimes saving a life. I am going to remain optimistic, I also work in Healthcare and I will follow up with another review.
I saw Jean today for my first time visiting Nystrom and Associates.I was so impressed and happy! Jean actually listens to me and we worked TOGETHER to make a plan for my future treatments. I am very grateful and will for sure return.
Our experience at Nystrom & Associates has been very positive. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Ive also been very pleased with ease of scheduling appointments. Would highly recommend!
As a knowledgeable parent about chemical dependency treatment and issues I was devistated at the level of care for my child in the adolescent program. I was disgusted by the level of professionalism on all levels; from adolescent group counselors who have no experience personally with chemical dependency issues to billing issues With the drug testing company that doesn’t even give you results until weeks later making it impossible to manage a relapse. The upper level management issues when trying to solve these problems. Please take your children somewhere else.
Update: Someone in their customer care group contacted me after posting this review. The person was sympathetic and stated she would have the clinical director review my case. Today they called back and offered to write me a prescription for a medication Im already on (that was already disclosed to them {using the name of the generic form} as part of my medical history). I cant believe the ineptitude--my case was supposedly reviewed by the clinical director!---Original Review---I called on Friday to report a serious side effect with a medication I was prescribed. A message was left for the provider, and his nursing staff. No one called me back. Fast forward to Tuesday (Monday was a holiday): still no callback, so I called in. After waiting on hold for a long time, I hung up, but finally got a return call a few moments later (is hanging up whats required to get a callback?). After being transferred to a nurse, Im told to discontinue the medication. I did that the preceding Friday on the advice of my pharmacist. Then I was told I can talk to my provider about a different medication during my next appointment, which is nearly a month away. I was upset, because my medication is important, and it showed in my voice. I told the nurse that I couldnt wait that long. She said she could ask the on-call, but he wont do anything. I said thats unbelievable, and started to ask if she had any idea what it was like to live, unmedicated, with my condition. She said I should stop yelling at her, and that she was going to hang up. I wasnt even close to yelling until she said that, and I almost lost it when she did. Have they no empathy? Dont they even try to understand things from the patients perspective? I already had to wait months just to get the appointment, and then they wanted me to wait at least three more weeks before getting a chance to get a different medication (after not even calling back when I reported serious side effects)?
Absolutely terrible service, terrible treatment, & ridiculous costs. Your mental health will probably end up worse after visiting Nystrom. Also, don’t miss an appointment or they’ll charge you $130.An absolute sham of a mental heath facility
Both my psychiatrist and therapist have been great. The staff has been helpful with scheduling appointments online for me and being flexible.
I have never called an office to have them tell me that I need to figure out my own insurance... they like the customer to figure it out on their own. Hmmm... every place I have worked w/ before usually does the insurance piece for you. I tried calling both Nystrom and my insurance company who could not answer fully if they would cover therapy for my child. Sad.
Bunch of liars and creeps. Impossible to get a hold of. Dont return calls and tell you they left you voicemails when they didnt. Called about getting a medication refill. the operator said i needed to schedule a future appointment first so i did and was told that my refill would be called in. Two days later- nothing at my pharmacy. Called Nystrom back and was told by nurse Heather, that they had had a question for me about the medication before they could give me a refill and had left a voicemail for me this morning. looked at my voicemail and there was nothing. Called them back and Andrew the operator tried to tell me that the voicemail that the nurse left this morning was for the front desk, not me. what? lame. Stay away if possible.
Unfortunate experience with clinicians, diagnosis and treatment. I am an adult professional who has worked in mental health and health care extensively and I would not advise anyone seek care at this facility.
They have the most caring and compassionate staff!
Great people- very nice and professional. Dr. - on video conf. was great- first time doing that and it made no difference than if she was in the room.
Takes forever to get an appointment or recieve a call back about EXTREMELY important things.i accompainied someone here and i couldnt believe that med management wanted to switch her to a diffrent drug due to slight drowsiness and beyond that she wanted to put her on latuda.a drug that has MANY COMMON side effects and isnt generally approved for her specific issue.med management continuously pushed for it and even tried to change her diagnosis within 10 mins of metting her, regardless of the fact that 3 psycologists and many other profs gave her that over 5 yrs of visits.I wouldnt trust med management here, its as if there getting kick backs for perscribing latudia right now and will put paitents through any amount of pain or permanant damage to achive more bonuses from the drug manufacturer of the month. You cant just switch someone from a mood stabilizer to a heavy antipsycotic AND switch someones diagnosies based on a short questionaire and 5 mins of conversation(of wich you acted half asleep).Thats so dangerous. She could of put my friends life in jepordy.Thank god we were both smart enough to see through her.
So something happened to my med psychiatrist and he is not there anymore. I talked with various people so they can help me. I spoke with a nurse and she was very rude to me. She told me that I should go see a therapist because I have no communication skills only because I was wondering what was gonna happen with my medications since I didnt have a provider anymore and would have to wait 4 months to be seen. They made me feel like it was my fault and I did not appreciate that. I didnt like how she spoke to me when I was trying to figure out what was going on.
I have dealt with Nystrom and ssociates for several different issues, and each was handled very professionally and with great care. I have met with the Nutitionalist, had ADHD testing and have also used their counseling services. The Nutrisionist helped me figure out with the LEAP test, that there were many foods that caused myPsorisis and Psoriatic Arthritis to flare. This has made an amazing difference in my life. The counselor I saw was sweet, caring, funny, she listened to me, and was full of suggestions as to how to help manage many things going on,Testing for ADHD helped confirm our suspicions when our child was not able to concentrate in school d sports. The difference in our child now is epic.Don’t let a few bad reviews stop you. I always recommend trying a different therapist,Dr. or whatever until you find your fit. Thanks Nystrom and associates !
I brought my son to this clinic after a referral by his Neurologist team. My son had brain surgery related to a genetic seizure disorder. My youngest son died as a result of this disorder and that is what lead my son to opt for the brain surgery. Unfortunately, the outcome left him with a serious mental condition. Dr. Z and my son had a treatment plan and medications that were really working. My son had a trusting relationship with Dr. Z. Then Dr. Z left the practice and a new (brand new-just out of a school/internship) was assigned. He met my son and within 3 minutes had ruined a trusting relationship with Nystrom. My son came storming out of his office and this is not typical of him. He said the new doctor wanted to change his medication and didnt even spend time getting to know him. When he disagreed, he was told he could not be seen there anymore. This has been very stressful for him and caused a lot of anxiety which has led to more seizures as he tries to find another doctor, and worries about running out of his meds. These medications can have life devastating affects if stopped cold turkey. Living in a rural area leaves few options for mental health care. Most places have up to six month waiting lists. He needs a specialist due to the brain surgery and mental health problem. The absolute neglectful way he was treated, leaves him in a dangerous situation. I cant even believe the ignorant, callous and unresponsible treatment of a patient is legal.
Terrible experience. Waste of time. If you are facing mental health challenges this place is not attentive, lacking knowledge and sensitivity. Therefore I would recommend anywhere but here.
Helpful, Courteous, Willing to listen, They call to see how you doing and if everything ok.
Honestly this is the second time Ive come seeking treatment from this company bc quite frankly I was told no one had the experience our expertise in dealing with my issues. First time I came here I was assigned to Dr. Z and when he left they assigned me to a newby, fresh out of school and decides to switch my meds and put me on an anti psychotic med, which only made things worse. He was confronted by me and my fiance expressing the problems and side effects, nothing was changed, he stated, it takes time for meds to take effect but I was getting the effects and they werent right for me. I refused treatment from him and nystrom wouldnt do anything so I left, then proceeded to get this guy looked at by the state, didnt happen, he still works there. But the only person who can help me with my case works there, its the ONLY reason I went back..
My family member saw a psychiatrist there and he left the clinic without notifying any if his patients and I was left with no meds. Not good.Nobody sent me a letter telling me the provider left the clinic. Now Im left scrambling, waiting on a nurse to fill my refills.Another thing, that same provider was charging my mwdicaire for psychotherapy and I dont have that. Hes committing FRAUD!I am now like many other vulnerable adults left with no psychiatric doctor.Very I unprofessional!
After my sons dr decided to take an extended leave of absence they now couldnt get him into a new dr for another 2 months. Sorry, that doesnt help my mental health or his at all. Incredibly disappointed. If a dr. leaves, perhaps you need to have the resources available to cover the situation rather than just squeezing us in where ever there is room. Im looking elsewhere for care. Tired of dealing with this big bureacracy.
I conquered many obstacles in their outpatient program while there and recommend them to anyone that is still suffering. Currently 15 months sober
I would never trust anyone else other then Mark Zeibarth for my mental health medications.Hes the best there is.
Horrible experienceBad doctorsAnd just corrupt behavior
I have been trying to get my son’s prescription refilled for over two days. They finally called me to tell me it had been called into the pharmacy. When I went to pick it up over an hour later it hadn’t even been called in. Called Nystrom and Associates back while at the pharmacy and was told there was nothing they could do because the nurses had gone home for the day. So frustrating!!
Mark has been thee best help for my mental health, I cant say enough about him. Mark the tree is doing well, I miss him Soo much, he was my dr for over 10 years thank you for being there for me!!
Staff is friendly but schedule is not flexible at all.
If I could rate this no stars I would. My girlfriend had scheduled for an appointment a month prior to when she was supposed to attend and was cancelled on at 6am the day of her scheduled 8am. When calling in to reschedule, she was told that the next available appointment was a month from now. This seems insane to me that a place that is supposed to treat mental health can be so unstable.
Dr zbarth for lynne
Not very helpful, seek therapy elsewhere
