I wouldnt even give this company a 1 star rating because for the past 2 months my internet and wifi has been terrible. Ive called plenty of times to get it fixed and yet all they do is run a speed test, wont send a technician out to check it out.. This company fails for internet, plenty of my friends have the same issue.. Corporate is probably the same way, sad i can barely watch tv, wife can barely do school work or get on my xbox because thats how slow this wifi is.. they asked me to upgrade my plan and why would i pay more for wifi i can barely use
I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to be a Century Link customer. We have been without internet for 2 weeks now. My whole street is down. We have opened multiple service tickets and no one shows up or calls. We have been told there is a cut line on our street yet every time I call they ask me to restart my modem…. I can’t understand any one I talk to and there is never any mention of an estimated time of repair. I have a business and if I ran it like this it would be long gone. I despise this company with every ounce of my being. I have wasted hours upon hours this week trying to explain the same issue over and over.
I have never had as much problems with a company as I have with Century link customer service. I got their internet received modem plugged in correctly not working. Called after a 20 minute wait time talked with someone who said a technition would be out to fix OT the following Monday it was Friday when I got it. Monday came no tech. I still do not have internet. They are the worse company ever. I will be doing a complaint with BBB
If I could give 100 negative stars, I would. I have a box, and line hanging in the road, and yard. Century link put in a ticket for it to be repaired yesterday. No one ever showed. This was after being on hold for a minimum of 45 minutes of 7 phone calls! Called yesterday, and today a total of 12 times. Havent spoken with a single person. Went online to their chat forum. Transferred to 4 different operators. Not 1 would answer my questions. They would stop chatting, and would transfer me to a different operator. The last one just stopped completely.
I would give them zero stars if I could! Our internet has been out for over a week since a local lawn mowing company accidentally ran over our line. We’ve had to open multiple tickets & have been no showed by techs on multiple occasions. Disappointing!
Very helpful. I was told online information that was corrected by the store clerk and he helped me get my tracking number and was in other ways informative.
Absolutely ridiculous, internet goes out every ten minutes, literally interrupts anything have going on, never wasting my time or money with century link again. After this bill its over,

My father-in-law established an account with Century Link (CL) in 1992 getting a whole 10mbps internet speed. 29 years later and CenturyLink can still only provide 10mbps internet where he lived. They are a backwards, difficult to deal with, unprofessional, horrifically outdated company (just look at their hours of operation) and survive only by the fact that in some areas theres no other competition to turn to. When my father-in-law passed I contacted them to close his account and they kept asking me for his password-which I didnt have. These yo-yos kept telling me they couldnt close the account if I didnt have a password. I finally told them that they can bill my father-in-law for eternity but I didnt thinkhe wouldnt be paying any more bills. Same issue with modem return. I got some ding-dong who told me he couldnt do anything for me to generate a return receipt without password. I finally told him I was getting tired of them and was doing them a favor, and I would throw their antique modem in the trash. Then I got an address to get the label, but it didnt work. Oh well.....this is a company of losers, operating with a 1950s mentality and this is why it gets all the stellar reviews it does. TG where I live CenturyLink isnt even in our state, because it couldnt compete!

Update: Armstrong internet is now available! Condsolidated is now offering internet. All you unsatisfied customes in the Morrow county area, join me and make the switch. The actually do care about the service they provide, unlike Centurylink.Hours on hold. Just trying to get internet service during this pandemic in my new home. If it wasnt my only option, I would go anywhere but here. Dont believe they value their customers needs. Must be short staffed and under paid. Sad to have to deal with them.
I have called to transfer service and they sent someone out 4 days later to the old address when they needed to be at the new one. I called them back and I had to wait another day for someone to come out. Again they came out that following day and they went to the old address AGAIN!!! Someone was to come out again a week later from the first day I called and they still are going to the old address. They need costumer service who speaks English.
Worse cable service around I recommend no one to go to them. Still charging me and I dont even have there services on. Total RIP off...
I am really surprised at all the negative reviews! Maybe certain locations have issues? 🤷🏼♀️ I have had nothing but great service, including customer service!! My bill has never changed and I never have connection issues... I also live out of town quite a ways. I hope to have continuing business and great service!

Poor service. Internet service only works on a few days a month. Company can not find why the service cuts on and off. We live in a rural area and have few options. After 50 years of phone service land line you would think we would be considered a customer worth helping. My other issue is when they offer a price, they do not tell you there are discounts included that will drop off at there choosing. Horrible company to deal with.
Century link was Qwest. Qwest hacked my cash app stole over $2500. Anyone who has century link uses cash Im warning both Of them are scammers
I have never had an issue with century links service. They have fantastic customer service and extremely nice reps. The only downfall if they don’t accept my debit card but other then that I’d recommend to anyone. I live in the middle of nowhere and even despite other companies telling us we can’t have internet they came out and told us we could and had it set up that day. Fantastic company.
Internet keeps dropping tech checked things out changed wires swapped modem still same issues. Took to web forums to find answers come to find out everyone is having same issues. Also came across this. (CenturyLink has over sold their Network capacity which means they cant provide what you pay for) meaning internet is going to drop cause to many people are on it. There needs to be an investigation they are ripping people off!
I started an account with them for internet . Wanted 100 mbs service was told I can only get 6mbs turns out after doing self install and purchasing the modem out right that they are a joke. I talked to every call center they have trying to get a service tech here to look at line ..oh the first one showed and left without fixing it. So I called in again and got another tech scheduled they never showed at all. Im not paying them a dime Im returning it to their office. Wasted an entire day waiting when I could have been paying bills now my bills are all behind. And waited 5 days for internet
It took 3 days, and over 8hrs speaking with 11reps and 2 floor supervisors, to find out (after the 2nd technician) we were unable to use them as a provider. The first tech never checked to make sure everything was working, so for 2 days I called to find out what was going on, since we had NO SERVICE. Not a single person could give me a solution, and they all had a different story of what the problem was. I spent over 6 hours in one day, which after finally speaking To a supervisor, had set up for a tech to come (day 3) between 10am-12pm. They didnt arrive until after 4pm...I had called again and been transferred 5 times being told they had already been there (at 3pm) and that our service was activated (still not working). Found out our apt lines were no good and we were not able to use them. Now a week later I get a bill for $153. Our plan was to be locked at $65 for 5 years. I call and am told that the other $75 is from one time charges for my first bill. I was told shipping was free but charged $15... Free activation for $45. Free long distance for $15.74...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!
Worst company I have ever dealt with, customer service is horrible, they turned off my wifi days before the bill was due, I paid the bill, had service for 4 days then they turned if off again and said I had to pay a disconnect fee of 100 dollars, I was connected to India 7 times and the business is a mile away. Horrible company.
Unfortunately I had to give them one star but they dont even deserve that.I would not recommend CenturyLink to anyone. I was a customer and cancelled 9 day to into my billing cycle after a couple months of service and bill paid on time. I offered to pay two full weeks even though I only used 9 days and I was told they dont pro rate. So they are charging me $55.71 for 9 days service. A supervisor said its like a gym membership no matter how many times you go you pay for 30 days but thats not true if you cancel a gym membership they will pro rate. CenturyLink is all about scamming people and money. And internet cuts in and out. The worst internet service I have ever had.
Absolute horrible internet services . Chat people disconnect from the chat without even talking to you. Two appointments and the tech showed up 4 hours late the second time. First time no one even showed. Been 15 hours today and no internet. I pray for Charter Spectrum to build out in Mt Gilead. You all should be out of business.
If your planning or thinking about using century link DONT! its not worth the headache. I was promised high speed fiber optic Internet. They came and installed everything and my Internet was slow. So after numerous phone calls I find out I dont have fiber optic, and I dont have high speed... they pulled a bait and switch scam.... so then they agreed to offer me bonded dsl which is supposed to be fast.... but I would know since my Internet now only works 2 to 3 days a week. Every time I call it have to swim threw a sea of automated selections to finally be connected to some guy in India I can only assume. Who cant really help me at all. I am beginning to wonder if the only Americans that work for this company are the poor installers who now have to take the brunt of my aggravation.
This company is horrible! They have reschedule me five times just to finish installing my internet and still dont have it done. There is 0 customer support here.

If I could rate this business without given a single star I would. We have been trying for over a month to add another line at our office. We have reached out so many times and have been told a service technician will be there today! When they dont show up we call inquiring why, only to be passed around to someone else who promises we are top priority for the next business day. This has been happening every day since the 2nd week of July. Its Now August! What is going on?I really feel unappreciated at a customer. I feel that this review is essentially a waist of my time since Century Link could care less. I would NEVER EVER recommend this company to anyone.
Constantly cutting out, dont recommend this at all its terrible internet and a waste of time and money.
Century link has wasted almost two weeks of my time and i lost 35 hours of wages due to them coming unprepared or doing a no call/ no show on the day of install.i will be looking to be compensated for this abhorrent waste of my time.Im not even a customer receiving service yet and i have already had enough.If they spent less money getting their company name on a stadium and spent it towards their infrastructure and making sure their employees know what is going on or maybe getting them some company trucks so they arent showing up in a busted 87 toyota with a canopy on it maybe they would have more punctuality and a better ability to do their job. I beg anyone considering century link to look elsewhere.
Waste of time. I order new internet and phone line to be Installed at my new house back in May 2017. I have called and waited to get the new service. It is now july 26 and I was told (like every other time) they would have it hook up today at 5pm. Well its 8pm and I have never seen anyone one come to hook up my new services.Dont waste your time with this joke of a company. They are also doing the same thing to my sister n law.
Horrible customer service. I have a 6ft deep, 4ft wide hole in my front yard where they installed the service box. Its been out there for a ur now. I have opened 3 tickets and nothing has been done. They blamed it on another company even though my pics I sent clearly show centurylink on it. That comp said theyve never been out here. Ever since then no one answer my email chain. And thats not even the beginning of my prob with this company. I just spent 2 hrs on the phone with them. The 1st rep lied, the 2nd hung up on me, the 3rd have me to her supervisor who refused to help. The supervisor then said she was going to talk to the IT department and would be right no. She then transferred me to the IT department without explaining anything or even noting my issue. So I had to start all over again explaining the issue. After 40 min my internet is still not on and that lady had to once again transfer me back to customer service because the order is still pending. The 5th person answered and I gave up. I told him nevermind I will contact the better business bureau right now which is what Im doing after this post. Thank god for hotspots on your phone because I have no service. Im done with this company. This is by far THE WORST company ever!! Lets pray no kids or any of my animals fall in that big hole in my front yard and I will not ever get any services from this company again.
Worst Telecom ever. We are in a rural area that they refused to upgrade for years, so we had to suffer with 0.5Mbps DSL for years. Then, last month they finally offered 10Mbps service which we immediately signed up for. It doesnt work, at all. Still 0.5Mbps. Ive had a repair ticket with them open for over a month now that theyve rescheduled 5 times now without fixing anything. And when I call them to try to get something done, even the supervisor seems to be completely at the mercy of his computer system that tells him what he can and cant do. He cant move the ticket up, he cant get us in touch with the tech, he cant escalate it to a priority, he cant give us the number to the regional office. But he can put a request on the ticket to please maybe fix this sooner if possible, pretty please? Yeah, right. I wouldnt be using this company at all if it werent they only choice in the area. They have horrible service, horrible customer support, and horrible prices. Everything that can be bad about a business is bad with CenturyLink. They have absolutely zero redeeming qualities, and no one should ever use them for any reason unless it is the only possible choice, and even then you are inviting nothing but stress and frustration into your life if you do, so i would think twice before signing up with CenturyLink even if it is the only choice. You would have a better and much easier experience moving your whole family to an area with better choices than you would signing on to CenturyLink.

Incredibly poor customer service. Leased modem is diagnosed as needing replaced. In order to get a replacement it will cost $23 to ship a new one. Why am I paying to replace the defective product when I am already leasing it?
