Dec 14 I got my oil changed here. Less than one month later my car started telling me to check my oil level. It doesn’t seem possible that after a month I would need to be adding oil. I’m not sure exactly what happened but the oil change definitely was not done properly.After reaching out to the owner, the problem was dealt with quickly. Above and beyond service was given to remedy all issues.

This service center is open 24 hrs a day, so when I leave for work at 4:30am and need gas they are there not only for gas, there’s a small store attached opened 24/7.The mechanics are not looking to make money off your situation they want to build a relationship based on honesty.I work w/ mechanics my company employs a and garage for our own companies fleet. A great, honest car garage. I drive in from 25 minutes away just to go to this garage, it is better than the ones where I live. Car inspections are done quickly even after the state law changes last November.

The owner is always willing to work with us to get our cars looked at in a timely manner. They offer better pricing for routine service and maintenance than other places Ive looked into. Honest about what needs to be done vs. what can wait.

I have been going to this place for over 13 years. I have 3 vehicles that take to this place for service. They used to be good. lately they have been charging me for things they did not do. last year they changed the wheel bearing and right Axle on my c280. Bill was $750. It started making noise within less than a year. So i took it back to them . Jay said it is under warranty He will have it replaced. Now his mechanics is telling me i need to change engine mounts and both axles. I refused.I asked them to change oil and inspection sticker and wheel bearing. They kept my car from Saturday thru wed night. Every day they kept telling me waiting for the pin that goes on the end of bearing. Finally wed they told me part just came in. So i asked them to finish it and I will pick the car around 9 pm. I went to pick up the car around 10 pm. I asked the employee if everything is done. He said yes and here is the bill. I paid the bill and took the car. While driving I noticed wheel bearing is still making noise, got home looked at the inspection sticker not done either then checked the oil. dipstick came out completely dry. They drained the old oil but never replaced it but charged me $ 106 for some thing.They gave me the run around for 5 days for nothing.i will never go back there again.

Mansfield Gas & Service station is the best one i have come across so far. The owner and the other people work here are very helpful and friendly. Excellent guys and excellent work. Ernest and Jeremy did a superb job. I will always recommend this place.

Please do not patronize this business, they intentionally hike their prices and the owner is rude, condescending, and speaks to women like their existence doesnt matter. I had to get police involved to get my 35 dollars back from an inspection sticker that was never issued. I have reported them to the RMV for shady business practices....

These guys have always been helpful and straight forward with work needed and cost. Actually took my car back after trying other shops.i was just missing some fluids this let me know. they topped it off without any charge.. will go back there for other needs

By far the best mechanic shop that Ive had so far! With as much as I go through cars, I always come to this location! Wissam (the owner) and his mechanics (especially Rob) are beyond phenomenal. I feel like Im never treated unfairly, they break down every aspect of the work they are performing so that I dont feel taken advantage of, and the hospitality while I wait is 5 star.

Let me start off by saying I hate going to mechanics and do not trust any of them. However, I am glad I gave Mansfield Gas and Service a shot. The staff is friendly but what really stood out to me is a guy by the name Jeremy. He is a very honest, reliable and humble mechanic. Ive been there a couple of times and have had a great experience each time. This is the only place Ill go for my mechanical needs.

Brought my car here for a clutch job after being referred by a friend. They beat the price of other local shops by over 500$. I came in and saw all the parts that were going into my car (OEM quality) and was very satisfied with the overall experience. Car feels much better they even went out of their way to replace things like shift linkage bushings at no cost. Definitely recommend this shop for small or big jobs and maintenance. Both of their mechanics are also dealer certified.

Always had a great experience until just now. New person was so rude. They used to have the nicest guy working overnight (Remi I think). Idk what happened to him but it’s definitely not the same.

Been here multiple times and i have to say they have exceptional customer service, its a family owned business so no matter what auto problems you have, they wont hesitate answering any questions plus free diagnostic anyday anytime. Ive been there a handful of times over the years and the service was always just ok. Every experience Ive had there didnt give me any confidence in their abilities. Tools are strewn about, and it looks like a chop shop. They may do decent work, but from an average-Joe perspective, this place has bad news written all over it.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I went there for a transmission line swap was only supposed to pay $150 for just the labor. best estimate I got around for the job then they said this broke that broke at the end of they day I had to pay $500 when they purposely ccaused the damage service was horrible took care of other customers while I was waiting outside in the cold owners were rude and arrogant I even have a cased filed against then with the better business Bureau and taking them to small claims court...... want to save money and time stay away

We had just had the rear brakes in our Jetta fixed at an independent VW shop in our town in RI. I really wanted to like these guys. But, the next day my wife txted me that the car smelled like burning. I told her to pull into the first full-service gas station she saw and have them look at it. That was Mansfield Gas & Service. The mechanic IDed the smell instantly and discovered the hack job that the RI garage performed on the brakes. He fixed the problem enough to get my wife back on the road, and the owner charged a very reasonable amount for their time. The RI shop had crammed new pads on the brakes, but did not change the rotors. One of the pads was so poorly installed that it was permanently dragging and burning up.When I got home from work, I called Mans G & S and spoke with the owner, thanking him for taking care of my wife. He explained more about the problem and how horrible a job the RI shop had done. I told him to put me on the books for the next morning to get the brakes fixed properly. They ran into an issue getting the pins out and had to order some parts from the dealership, but they got the job done. They figure the RI guys ran into this, gave up and just ran a swindle with replacing only the pads.When I arrived to collect the car, I met the owner, who could not have been nicer. He told me everything that they did, explained that they use top end parts on all repairs, warranty the parts AND the labor for two years, and discounted the job by _more_ than the amount he charged my wife the day before. Seriously, this was a discount of over 10% of the standard charge. I then met the mechanic, who told me everything that he did, and had a few interesting words for the RI VW specialists.I could not be happier with my experience with Mansfield Gas & Service. As I ride the train from Mansfield station to Boston every day, I think they will be getting my business again in the future. As for the RI shop...they lost a local customer with an aging car for a quick profit.

Both me and my friend brought our car here to have work done, he was charged almost 800$ for parts and labor and when his car kept making the same noises he brought it to Precision Collision and THE PART WAS NEVER REPLACED. NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE TO HIS CAR. He had to pay an additional fee to PC just to get his car fixed. I was charged 70$ for an inspection, only to find out thats ILLEGAL. Ive brought my car here for an oil change, waited TWO days, finally got it back and paid, only to find out they never even changed the oil. They just got tired of my calls. The staff is unprofessional, rude, and do not follow up. Its a family owned business and they open the car shop whenever they decide to get there, 930am - 10am. Absolutely the worst. PLEASE save yourself the money and time and frustration.
