My family has been getting their cars from Briggs for years, and honestly after buying a car from them Ill never go anywhere else again. They helped me get the loan, set me up with the lowest interest rate I could possibly imagine, and even worked with me on payments that wouldnt break my budget. Theyre all extremely friendly. My time was never wasted, I told Tim what I wanted and he immediately picked out the best car for me. He didnt try to upsell or give me something I didnt want or need, answered all of my questions, and even went out of his way to make sure it WAS the best car for my situation. Worst Service experience ever, left my car for repair and never received a phone 3from the Service advisor. His name was Stevm, I had to call every day myself to get information about my car.Told me my car was going to be done Friday went there Saturday morning to pick up he said the technician was busy working on a truck .Again I never received a phone call about this. Never a sorry or anything, terrible customer service, they really do not care about theyre customers

I bought my first car from here a few years ago through Perry Martin and I went again last year for a trade in and I refused to see anyone else but Perry. I had no idea about cars and he broke it all down for me. From the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out he makes you feel like family. He’s an incredibly honest, fun and an all around genuine person. And he can crack some good jokes too! He was so patient with me and he wasn’t pushy about anything and it’s rare you find that at car dealerships. Awful customer service. Was lied to repeatedly by the extremely rude salesman who helped us. He was super friendly, helpful and available when we were looking to buy, but once the papers were signed he left us high and dry with the remaining business. We ended up having a vehicle that we couldnt use because we didnt recieve plates or tags and the times I was finally able to reach him he cold transferred me to another salesman, three times.
I recently purchased a 2020 GMC Terrain. Upfront service was very quick even though they were very busy with black friday sales. George Masoli was my Sales Consultant; he was very friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely easy to work with. I highly recommend their services. I have also used their vehicle service department for over 15 years. I have never had an issue during that entire timespan. I previously owned an old GMC Envoy and they worked with me to keep it running with minimum expense for that entire span. Whenever I did have an issue with their work or services, they would fix the situation and work with me everytime. Again, I highly recommend their repair services and part department as well, and I will continue to use them for the foreseeable future.

The sales team is great. But if you need service done, you better go elsewhere. Was told my truck is not under warranty. Valor in Jc says yes it is for 9 more months. Thats just being too lazy to look things up.
Question for the briggs auto group, why was I told I could not receive gap insurance on my 2014 nissan Titan back in February of 2020? I was recently in a car accident and thats all everyone is asking, do I have gap. And when I tell them no, that I was told I couldnt get it on my truck from the dealership they are looking at me like their minds are blown
Where to begin... I went into this Dealership-very aware of the poor reviews and poor reputation from several friends. The only reason I went to this dealership, was due to finding cars I wanted. The first salesman that helped me was Trevor Wright-he was great. He did not push me anyway, answered my questions or got someone who could, he even helped me switch over my car seats when I bought my vehicle-which didnt get completed till 9pm. If I could rate him-it would be a 5 star hands down. However, once starting to deal with others is when things started to get wary. William-Bill worked with Trevor on the exact details numbers part of the sale. I came in with knowing my trade in value, knowing the value of the car I was wanting, & understanding the negotiation part. They did low ball me for my trade in, but did come up to a reasonable amount. Then came the financial part, I worked with Grady and Charmaine. Grady is who I initially worked with-he stayed late(thank you). There was a situation with my loan, where paperwork had to be refilled out-which was out of their control. However, it took a significant amount of time for them to realize that this had to be done. With me checking my previous loan and finding out my trade in was still not paid off.. is how I got my answers. Me calling consistently, wanting updates. I would leave a messages because majority of the time, I would have time to call, is over my lunch break and is during theirs as well. But even with their phone gal-Britney taking down the message and forwarding, there would still be times I wouldnt get a f/u call. I feel like a babysitter. I have never had to do this with other dealerships in town. When I refilled out paperwork with Charmaine, come to find out-one of the charges on the contract didnt need to be on there. I specifically said I did not want any extra anything. It was late and may be due to tiredness but I stated several times NO to more than 1 person. I bought my vehicle at the beginning of September & my trade in is still not confirmed paid off. Supposed to hopefully in 24 hours. I have had to make 1 payment and inching towards a 2nd payment on the car I dont even own anymore- if the check isnt cleared by the 10 day grace period. I might have to make another payment just to make sure it doesnt show on my credit score. My car had its oil changed by briggs with their complimentary 1st change. Well a couple weeks and it started leaking oil. I took it in and Bill was very prompt to get me a loaner and my car taken care of, which I appreciate. He also took it upon himself after me expressing the frustration of my experience with the financial department to expedite the situation. I had a we owe on my vehicle; looked like someone side swiped the driver side, side mirror and on doors previously. There was scratches, the first time the service took care of it.. the mirror looking awful. I was not happy at all, looked like someone colored it in with red sharpie. Of course after expressing my dissatisfaction, Trevor took care of it and relied the message onto service so they could order a new cap to put on the mirror. What upsets me, is whoever did the service thought that was an expectable repair. The scratches on my doors are already visible again. I left it to a lost cause at this point. My point with this review-do better. Are the financial people short staffed? Is this why they couldnt get my stuff done in an appropriate time frame? Lack of training? Lack of customer service? Im rating this entire thing as a 2 star due to lack of communication, inappropriate length of time to complete the loan, lack of f/u, & the initial poor service repair.
We had a very good sales man Jack Dodge. He was very helpful and helped us find what I wanted. We bought a 2014 Ford Escape and we love it! We did have issues with it right after we bought it where when you got gas you had to milk the accelerator to get the car to start BUT Briggs fixed that for free. The part of this company that we were not fond of was the financial department in the Nissan building. Zach... he was very informative and helpful at first... but when we went back later he was very disrespectful and acted like we weren’t even visible. The financial department held a check that we needed to get signed was not informed to us until 3 months later. We went in to take care of it and they thought it was a laughing matter when for us it was a huge inconvenience considering I HAD to get my car registered. Jack dodge gave us a dealer plate til the check was signed and we got our paperwork we needed for registration.

Buyer Beware: Full of miscommunications and horrible staff encounters. Found a vehicle on AutoTrader on Thursday afternoon in Topeka- 2009 Dodge caravan, listed on AutoTrader for $9989. Called and spoke to Brittany who quoted me a cash price of $7900, and arranged for the van to be transferred to the Manhattan Briggs so that we could test drive it, and look it over. We were suppose to have it there around 11:30 Friday, and she said that they would call in the morning to let us know when they were en route. Up until this point it was all good. We never got a call from anyone, we tried to call the number we had been given, but no one would answer. We went to Briggs Manhattan just after noon to see if they had gotten there, only to be greeted by an incredibly pushy, and rude, salesman. He claimed not to know of any transfer and treated my family quite rudely. We had to reach out to Topeka ourselves, who then were able to confirm that the transfer had occurred, but they had already left, but we had never gotten a call. They were able to contact him and get him to circle back, as he had stopped for lunch and was not too far out of town yet. Upon meeting the sales rep from Topeka-Sam- we were relieved. Sam was very kind, very personable, and very knowledgeable. We test drove the van, and left to mull it over while we grabbed lunch and put my toddler down for a nap. We called a bit later to let Sam know we were en route back. We gave the car another look, a bit more thoroughly. At this point we had every intention of writing them a check and driving it home. Sam called his boss-Will- to let him know that it would be a cash buy, not financed, and got the paperwork around. We went in to sign the paperwork, and close the deal only to be floored when the price on the page was not the advertised price, nor the quoted price, but instead $10900. After discounts $9000 and change. But wildly different than both the advertised price and the quoted price. Sam was just as shocked as we were. He was polite and asked to be excused to call his sales manager. He stepped outside to make the call. We were still setting at the desk when the Manhattan Briggs employees started what I would call the worst part of this experience. They were incredibly rude and demeaning saying things like looks like they sent us the boy scout, who let the 16 year old sell cars, he cant know anything being that green, and more. My family and I were disgusted and appalled at how employees of the same company, albeit different locations could treat each other so poorly. How could we expect them to not talk just as poorly of their customers behind closed doors. We left before we could hear more, and went out the door to find Sam. He was just finishing up on the phone, and let us know that his Sales manager-Will- said that $8500 was the bottom dollar, and that they would not honor the quoted price from Brittany. Sadly we did not leave with the van. We were upset to have spent all day trying to get things around and making our decision, while constantly being treated poorly by the Manhattan staff. Our experience with Sam was wonderful, he was a great person to work with, unfortunately, it seems like communication, and kindness are hard to find within Briggs as a company. We will sadly be continuing our search for a family vehicle.

Been doing business with Briggs for years they did all the work on our vehicles from personal to business never had a problem until today took the Nissan in for service of an oil change tire alignment etc in the past we were always given a loaner cuz it takes about 2-3 hours never been given A runaround its always been in and out but today after sitting for an hour and a half we were unable to leave our vehicle for servicing because they couldnt rent us a vehicle due to drivers, insurance, etc updated it 3 times before we decided to just leave so they lost our business for good. You would think after 3-4 yrs of regular service there would be a good rapport between customer and company well they proved that wrong ....will not be going back anytime soon
Great experience working with Austin Marshall. He is very professional and great to get along with while searching for cars. I also felt very comfortable talking with him unlike other sales people I felt like all they cared about was getting the car gone but Austin cared more about how the car would treat me personally. They advertised a lease for $169/mo, but when you get there they claim that the offer is a “national” offer but the cost for someone in Kansas is actually $250/mo. Well I couldn’t afford that so then they tried to sell me a car. Basically, their lease offer is a scam they use to get you into the dealership where they can try and sell you a car.SCAM
(Manhattan dealership) The atmosphere was very friendly and calm. Any time I called in I was helped on the spot or directed to someone who could help me. The salesman, Brandon, was very nice, helpful, and incredibly understanding to our situation. The Financial Manager, Sean, was absolutely amazing. He got us a great deal and even gave us advice on the future with our cars. Both gentleman were awesome to work with! If your looking for a vehicle ask for Brandon! Highly recommend!
They sold me a car with a loan that’s over $5000 what the car is actually worth. I called today to see if they would let me downsize, the gal on the phone said no problem but it was a different story when I went to the dealership. Maybe it’s because I’m a young lady but those men gave me the run around. Poor customer service. Definitely do not recommend. They do not have your best interest in mind.

While I would probably never buy a car here the service over the course of the last few years has gotten pretty good. My experience has been nothing short of great and I wont take my vehicle anywhere else. Ive been jerked around by a couple of salesmen but Im a happy guy with the service staff.

Had such an amazing experience at Briggs Superstore!Tim Cuddy helped me find an SUV for my family only 6 days after my Kia Optima was deemed totaled. I was super nervous going in there because I’ve been taken advantage of at dealerships before. Tim was very attentive to what I was looking for in my next vehicle and what I was looking to spend. I found a Kia Sorento in the Ft. Scott location that I was SURE was out of my price range but I asked him about it anyway. The next day he had the car brought 3.5 hours away so I could test drive it, once I did I knew I couldn’t leave without it 😂 I was approved within the hour and SO glad I went to Tim at Briggs!!If I could give more stars I would!! The previous post I made looks like it somehow got deleted, so Ill post once again. Why would you want to purchase a vehicle of any kind from Russ Briggs when knowing that I had a cancer diagnosis, was denied my doctors appointments and was fired for absolutely no reason at all...no verbal warnings, no written warnings. Fired a week after spending almost $50,000 on a truck at his dealership. Is that how you would treat your employee? Would you buy a vehicle from someone so wrong and cold-hearted?
Literally a place full of liars and crooks. The only employees that ever told us anything straight was the service department. We bought a 2012 Chrysler 200 two months ago. There was a basic promise to fix and it was not easy to figure out the problem so I took it to a shop myself to have it looked at. Diagnosis was failing driver rear strut mount. The dealer took the car twice told us they replaced the strut the second time. As Mitch told me this I could see in his face that he was lying to me. The first thing I did was check to see if it was new. No it wasnt. Then after going back and forth trying to get them to look at it again the alternator failed. Weve had the car for 2 months and already having to pay $537 to get it fixed. They are liars and thieves I wouldnt even trust them to buy a new car now. Terrible experience all around. Only person on the floor that tried to help was the financial manager Sean and they shut him down because we havent gotten a call back and its been almost a week. It doesnt take 2 months to change a strut and they certainly never did their inspection they said they did on it because the drive belt failed as well. Thats an easy find... if I could give zero stars I would but I guess that one is for Sean and Jason in the service department. Long story short if you want to be lied to go to Briggs. ( Nissan ) this is of course only my opinion
I had the best car buying experience here. They worked with me for almost 2 weeks to get me an SUV. My previous vehicle was too small. Jordan McGillis went above and beyond to help me. He is the general manager. I felt he was helping me because of my need, not to just sell a car. He and Ty were great. They were always accessible to me. My experience buying my first car here was hassle free. It went smooth and I got just what I was looking for. My only complaint is that the vehicle was on E when they handed it over to me. And the price they gave me was higher then the price advertised online.

I was looking for a new (used) vehicle because my just died. The finance guy I talked to asked me what my preferences were and I told him the most important thing was the monthly could not be more than $150 a month. I didnt care so much about the car specifications. When he talked to the sales guy he came back with a almost new vehicle with low miles. I expressed my confusion, saying that I couldnt imagine $150 a month would get me into a vehicle this nice. He assured me the sales guy feels he could get me into this vehicle (contingent on my credit being approved). We test drove it and it was great, I said if I could get approved for $150 or less Id get it. Finally, he got the paperwork from the sales guy and it came down to over $300 a month. I said I cant do that. He said didnt you say $250 a month. I said no, i said $150 a month. He (and later the sales guy) said that would make it $150 bi-weekly payments and asked if I could do that. I said no, I told you $150 a month, that would be twice what I said I could do. The sales guy said people all the time give a monthly amount but end up doing the same amount bi-weekly. I told him, well then they lied to you and Im not a liar. And you were being dishonest with me for trying to push this on me. Needless to say, I wont be going back.
We went to Briggs on Friday to get my husband a new truck. We had already spoken to Glenn and made an appointment. We ended up arriving a few hours earlier but Glenn was ready for us and it was no problem. Everything went really smoothly, great test drive, paper work a breeze, even got the APR we wanted. Cant say enough good things about Glenn he was super friendly, and gave us a lot of information without being pushy. Will definitely be recommending Briggs and Glenn to friends!!

Spent a year deciding on a bike, finally deciding to get one I drove up to Briggs and J. Rodriguez set me up with a great deal on a 09 Kawasaki Ninja. From the get go, the service that he gave me was great and extremely friendly. The way that the team at Briggs works together to get the best possible deal for their customers is essential to the customer experience, and they knocked it out of the ball park. I had to have my car towed to this location while on a road trip. Briggs auto service was amazing and took complete care of us and our vehicle. The car was looked at promptly. Rick gave us updates on what was being done and approximately how long it would take. If anything happened to my car in this area I would definitely take it here again.
I can say with confidence that I will NEVER recommend buying a car from Briggs. The finance manager, Mario Williamson, attempted to change the terms of the loan after paying a down payment and driving off the lot. He seemed upset with his commission after we refused to buy his warranty and we were persistent about getting the lowest possible interest rate so he attempted to pull a quick one and change the terms of the contract(the classic bait and switch). A few days after buying the car, he called repeatedly and asked if we could come back and sign some papers. He claimed it would only take 5 minutes. He made it out to be some sort of minor formality or paper work error and never once mentioned the terms of the contract changing. When we arrived at the dealership we were met by a new finance manager we had never met before. He assured us that we would be in and out in 5 minutes. However, looking over the paperwork, we noticed that this was an entirely new contract with an interest rate that was more than twice as much as our original contract. After pointing this out and making a scene, they were very quick to offer us a much lower interest rate, however still much more than originally agreed on. I have contacted an attorney as the situation is still unresolved. The only ray of hope was our salesman, Michael Sanchez, who was very personable and worked hard to earn our business. He wasnt overly aggressive in his sales tactics but instead found the exact car I wanted for me and never tried to up-sale. Being a Manhattan native, I would not recommend Briggs Auto to anyone. Save yourself the hassle and go to another dealership.

First time buying a car through a dealership. Michael made everything so easy! We got a beautiful Chevy Malibu that we are in love with. He got us a better car than we could have ever expected. Everything we wanted in a car was by far exceeded. Their finance team gave us a better deal than we could have hoped for, and beat our bank. Also, the timing was wonderful. The whole process took less than 2 hours. We had no particular car in mind. Now we get to enjoy this gorgeous Kansas day in our new car! I cant thank Michael enough!
I have gone to Briggs a couple times for vehicle maintenance. Everything would be fine, they’d fix the issues with some given time (not the speediest of services). Recently took my car to the shop for a check engine light, I knew what the problem was already because a friend had diagnosed the car to see what was wrong with it beforehand. From the 1st till the last day of pick up it was a 3 week wait. Not 3 days....but 3 WEEKS until I got my car back. Granted we were given a rental to use in the meantime. But get this, we got it back 2 weeks in but before even leaving the lot the check engine light came on again so it was a quick turn around and return for the rental car. A week goes by and it’s finally “done.” We picked up and went home to find out the settings in the car have been disabled like the trunk and the auto start. Wow! Just fantastic! I mean who doesn’t love wasting 3 weeks to get a car that comes back to you worse than when you took it to the shop?!
I tried to complain to Russ Briggs himself about the Service Center - I had emergency when my head light and back light burned out. A few days later or on Monday I could get it serviced they said I was able to go to the Goodyear Tires here in Manhattan, they understood and service ASAP.I have bought two cars, and leased two pickup trucks from Briggs, It is questionable if I will ever go back. I currently live in Omaha, NE so Briggs Auto dealership is not exactly close, about three hours away. But because of the great staff there its worth the drive. I have purchased a number of cars from Briggs and they definitely have made me feel like family. John Woods was my sales person with many of my purchases over the years, and coupling that with a great financial manger and good friend Jordan McGillis where always able to deliver. They always had my best interest in mind, they never cease to amaze me with getting me in the vehicle I wanted in the budget I had to spend on a monthly payment.
They are one of very few places in Manhattan that take make appointments for oil changes if you are like me and do not like waiting in line for an oil change. They have been good in the past but this time they forgot to hook an intake line back up which made my check engine light come on half way to Topeka. I was able to get the code read at a parts store in Topeka and find and repair the problem but was not what I wanted to deal with on a Saturday afternoon.

I came into Briggs already knowing what I wanted, but the vehicle was located in Topeka and I didnt have time to go down and test drive the vehicle. Jason Beck was my salesman and he went to Topeka to pick up the 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid that I was looking at. He was very helpful in answering my questions and if he didnt know the answer was willing to find someone who did or made the effort to research my question. He was very upfront, did not try and push me into purchasing the vehicle, he just provided the information I needed so that I could make the decision to buy. Since purchasing the vehicle, he has called to check up on how I am liking the vehicle and if there is anything he can or needs to do to help me out. Briggs Subaru is the king of Bait and Switch. We were offered a certain price on a Crosstrek in Kansas City but the wait was 4 weeks. We called Briggs to see if they could match the price and were told that they definitely could.We asked if we could fill out the purchase paperwork over the internet and they said we would need to come in to sign the paperwork. They confirmed the appointment with us multiple times. My wife and I both took off of work and drove the 1 hour to the dealership.When we got there they didnt know who we were. Eventually we were passed off to another salesman. After two hours sitting at his desk chatting with us, he finally tells us that he thinks they accidentally gave us the wrong price. We sat there for another 30 minutes before I finally told them we needed to go. He said they would update us later but they never called.
If you go to Briggs Auto (Nissan) to purchase a vehicle ask for Perry Martin. He is the most professional, and honest salesman I have ever dealt with. He is very laid back and never puts any pressure on his customers. After the sale he calls or emails monthly to ensure I am happy with everything. Perry immediately corrected the couple minor cosmetic issues that I had with my newly purchased car. I have read a couple of the other google reviews, and I can assure you that you will not have a negative experience if you deal with Perry (salesman), CJ, (sales manager), and Brett (finance manager). Great experience, will definitely keep going back to Perry Martin at Briggs Nissan!

I am very disappointed in my experience here. I originally went into the super center in Manhattan and was very specific about my circumstances with my deployed husband. I explained to them time and time again, there was no room for miscommunication or errors. Though they were extremely friendly, I felt it was all staged and that I was just a number to their sales. Which at the end of the day, I understand. To counter act that statement, I feel as if someone is signing for thousands of dollars a saleperson should invest slightly more time into that individual. They threw me in multiple different directions, pointing me one way, then never followed through. Just not an honest company. I dont recommend this dealership unless your life is absolutely perfect and you have a credit score over 700. Not worth the free oil change. There are plenty others around. For instance, Cox Auto Search :)

Went in to help our 20 year old soldier buy his first new car. On a holiday weekend, with a flight going out crunch. Perry and the finance guys were awesome, helping get everything lined up and finalized, (especially with normal financing glitches)! Awesome team!!!!
Purchased a Yamaha V Star 1100 from them in October. Sales process was easy without pressure and they worked with me to get approval due to this being a first auto loan and even explained in detail. Finance was a breeze to get through and took a quarter of the time a normal dealership would. The only reason I dont give this rating 5 stars is due to a communication gap with my sales associate when mechanical trouble came up although Brett and Kyle have been very consistent in communicating and helpful in getting the situation resolved, even offering a rental car while the problem was fixed, if it was not for the communication gap initially I would give this establishment 5 stars and in the future when my wife gets her bike if we are still in the area we will be visiting Briggs Bikes for hers as well. Great Work guys and Thank you.

I had a great experience at Briggs Auto, Manhattan KS. I should mention Michael Sanchez who went over the details about the car I was willing to buy. He also explained the procedure of loan grants from NMAC. I should say that we were clear about our budget and expectation and he along with the finance manager made a great effort in loan approval process. They have made our dream come true. It has been more than a month we got the new car and I am happy with its performance. I would recommend any prospective buyer to have at least a visit to Briggs Auto which may help them to take the right decision at right time.

I thought 1 & 1/2 years ago I was buying a good car with no wrecks. Went to trade it in this past week for a newer car and come to find out it had a wreck on the car fax 4 months prior to me buying it. The papers that I signed when I bought it stated it was never in any accident or and claims on the car. I gave Briggs and option to make it right for giving me false paper work but refused. I used to recommend Briggs to everyon but not no more. Avoid them cause you think just buy looking at the paper you got a legit car but it is not.
My 87 year old friend purchased a Buick Encore on Monday after a harrowing weekend of having her car break down on Saturday morning on the interstate. I recommended that she have it towed to Briggs because it is a Subaru and in the back of my mind I thought if she needed to buy a car it would be a good place to be. It was. The car repair on her 13 yr old Impreza would have been $5000 and would take a week or more. She and her friend were on their way to Estes Park and she needed something dependable. Jazmin, the mechanic at Nissan, Jack Dodge, William Fairhurst and Cole Bachamp were the most helpful and patient people I could imagine. Saturday afternoon it took us a while to get it across that her car had been left up by the Nissan building. But Jazmin got the gist and took charge - driving us around the lot to find the car and encouraging my friend along the way. She got the mechanic onto the problem and he visited with my friend so she would understand the time frame. The car could not be looked at until Monday. My friend does not hear well at all, so her driver friend and I were with them the whole way to help. The sale of the car on Monday took an unusually long time because there were problems along the way. Jack, Cole and William spent hours and never exhibited any impatience even once. It was a win, win situation. Thank you to all who helped. She loves the Encore!
