Spoke to the intake coordinator and although she had to tell me they couldnt take my insurance, she called back very promptly after my initial call and was so pleasant and caring. They are worth giving a call to try as they were highly recommended, and Im satisfied as she was even able to refer me to other places. Thank you, even though I have to keep looking, it was refreshing to have someone call me back and be so helpful!
Be prepared to call the office and not speak to a live person. You’ll be instructed to leave a message and someone will return your call within 2-3 business days (or maybe it’s 2-3 months because it’s been a month and I’ve not received a call back). HORRIBLE quality of patient care, Between Us Associates. I’m sincerely glad I never ended up as a patient there.
I contacted Between Us because I had a friend who recommended Shawn. He was not taking new patients but referred me to a colleague in the practice. I had a lot of difficulty getting in touch with her and left a few phone calls and emails. It was a couple of weeks after initial outreach that she responded to set our first appointment (the motivation to seek therapy greatly goes down after a few failed attempts at even getting in touch with someone). But, come our first appointment, she is great. We had a few really good sessions, and I appreciate her skills as a therapist. HOWEVER, she missed a scheduled appointment, and when I contacted her to reschedule I have not yet heard back. Its been over three weeks. While I do think she provided helpful information when we met, I am going to seek counseling somewhere that it is not a huge ordeal just to get a response from a therapist. Im disappointed because I think she was very helpful, just not good at following up.
I received a referral through my employers EAP to this practice during a time of immense stress from both work and personal life. I left a voicemail to which I received no response in two weeks. I myself work in the mental health care field so this was extremely disappointing to me. As another reviewer had stated before me, the motivation to seek out treatment significantly declines as time goes on. I would not recommend just based on the lack of timely response. If a client were in need of an acute appointment I wonder if theyd be able to get through to do so or if it would wind up turning into a crisis due to lack of engagement on the providers part.

Similar experience to Mikailas review. I contacted Between Us earlier this year and left a voicemail for new patient requests. I spoke with an intake coordinator on Feb 23rd a week later who said that I will be hearing back from them the following week. I believe I called back and left two voicemails over the course of several weeks and have yet to ever receive a response from their office. Were this an emergency or someone who desperately needed assistance the lack of response could be immensely harmful. As it was I simply wanted to establish a regular appointment as a checkup for mental health purposes, but it is still unprofessional nonetheless.
My family loves Between Us. We have had a great experience with three of the counselors here and are happy to finally have found a long term support system.
I have left 2 messages one 2 weeks ago and one a week ago. No call back on either call. Similar to other reviews here. Will not recommend or attempt further contact
