My fridge is STILL not functioning right. I have had 6 different technicians out to my home. This has been going on for approximately 2 years. Customer service is horrible. They closed out a ticket even though it flat out said, not able to order parts. Thank goodness Sears stores are no longer around here do no one can be subjected to this disgrace

Wow they were quick. Showed up 18 hours after I called! and replaced pump in less than 15 minutes !
First of all to get on the phone with these guys are harder than getting an appointment to see the president. When you finally got the appointment, the service guys doesn’t show up the first time. When they finally showed up in 2 weeks later, they told me that part would take weeks to arrive. Was out of washer for a month and finally gave up on this service. Hands down the worst ever
We purchased a Kenmore Dishwasher through Sears with the 5 year warranty. The cool part of the warranty is we get free yearly maintenance over the 5 year period. We recently had someone come out to do the maintenance on the dishwasher, and once again received excellent service and excellent tips and suggestions how to best maintain the dishwasher. What also stood out was the professionalism with the person that came out during this pandemic as he kept his mask on and made us feel very comfortable having him do the maintenance on the dishwasher knowing our concerns. This is why we keep on purchasing appliances from Sears going back 20 years because they provide the best customer service and also sell the best quality appliances. I would always recommend Sears when buying appliances. My only concern now is there are not many Sears around anymore.
What a nightmare to get through to Sears called the one 800 be on hold for up to 4 1/2 hours with somebody who doesnt care I have appliances have been broken for over four months and I cant get any response through the company and all their emails on their warrantee information are invalid due to the bankruptcy its impossible to speak to anybody with authority that is able to help you with anything with the maintenance agreements you cant spend a half a day on hold and then when you get through the Sears warranty department cant help you they keep escalating it and said Ill call you back in 48 to 72 hours and it ends up being 30 days or more Ive gotten three phone calls regarding my nightmare and my problem started in September 2020 and Im still trying to get service and its a second week in January 2021 and I cant get anything fixed and the technicians tell me their hands are tied because of the corporate issues this is unacceptable and Im signed up for text messages and emails and I get nothing for response its impossible to get a hold of anybody its totally frustrating be aware

I have been using Sears Appliance Repair via their extended warranty policy for over a decade. It is worth every penny! Repair workers have been amazing! I will continue to use this service as long as its available.
My experience during the actual repair was excellent. My problem with Sears occurred within 15 minutes of the repairmans departure. I was holding a 20% off coupon for in-home appliance repairs. However, it being a repair of the same appliance with what was thought to be the same repair less than 90 days later, the Sears operator told me it would be at no cost to us. So I basically forgot about the coupon I had on my dresser. Fifteen minutes after his departure, I called Sears to let them know I had a 20% off coupon I wanted them to honor, since it was worth $60 to us. I was given a case number and told to call back the next day when the charge would be posted. Well, I did and they wouldnt because they couldnt change a posted charge--A Gotcha! moment. The new operator explained that no one could credit my account, which I find hard to believe. Someone in that little room with all those operators should have the power and ability to press a little key and make the correction. I understand there is a no prior work exclusion on the coupon, but I truly believe my calling immediately afterward should have been taken into consideration. Totally unsatisfactory assistance from Sears and their customer service. I had to give Sears 3 stars ( the average of 0 stars for customer service, 5 for repair work) because the repairman did a nice job--just wished he would have asked me if I had the coupon for in-home repair, which Sears should remind their customers when they are doing the repair.
I am happy with the service provided on my Kenmore refrigerator. The service technician was very efficient, had the part on his truck and completed the repair on the first visit. By the end of the day, I was back to normal. I did find the repair expensive but I wouldnt have been able to fix it myself so I didnt have any options.
I had a great experience with Sears Service because 1st I got a service time that fit for me and he quickly found out what the problem was with our compactor and had the part in his truck. Also what my wife loved is he asked me if I have any other appliances I would like to have a protection agreement on and we extended one on our Washing machine and we got another one on our microwave.
My service technician was Noel. He was very professional, courteous and helpful. Very impressed.Just for future, I am not happy with the fact that for any future service needs, I am not able to request Noel. I have his card and ID number, but the customer service people on the phone say they can not request a specific technician for a job. Once I find someone I like and trust, I prefer to stick with them if at all possible. It would be nice if Sears Service would allow that option.
The technician kept me up-to-date on his estimated arrival time and since he was running ahead of schedule had even let me know hed arrive earlier than expected. He ran many diagnostic tests, informed me of possible reasons for the issue I was having with my washer and offered several solutions that could help the situation. He didnt appear to be rushed and seemed to do a very thorough job during this service appointment. I was very pleased with the service.
I love Sears. I ALWAYS purchase appliances from Sears. The service dept is a huge part of why I do. They answer the service line immediately. Send someone super fast. I have had a serviceperson sent the next day. The service person was fantastic as always. My friends buy appliances at big box stores and wait forever for someone to show up.
The service man called ahead to let us know the time frame and then arrived ahead of time. He completed the installation of the new part and corrected a noise from the door spring and was done very quickly. We were very happy with this service.
I am very satisfied with the service. My Lawn tractor is back in business. Very happy with the whole process from my choosing a date for service and the service itself. The service person was great and certainly knowledgeable. I do think the service needs aa few more technicians thereby cutting down time.
I would think that since you are a consumer repair provider you would have after hours available. I was forced to have someone available between 8:30-12:00 or 1:00 -5:00 . Both of those inconvenient hour options of repair service my wife had to take time from her work and come home. The second time out to the house, I lost work time. If you total the time lost from work, we could buy a television.The fact that you only had a technician available in my area on a Tuesday was a big hassle. No other options. I had to delay my repair until I could take time off on a Tuesday.I had to struggle to understand almost every customer service person. Their accents were so strong I had to make them repeat themselves many times. It was very irritating. I press 1 for English I want to hear English not an interpretation of English.The technician had no idea what our issue was even though I had given all information in the trouble ticket. I had also given information on the problem to customer service person per their request but what they did with it I dont know.TV was unrepairable but taking long time to get reimbursed. If this TV was totally out I would have been without a TV almost 2 months.They did always keep me up to date on status of ticket.Technician was nice .I have never dealt with such unorganized group of customer service.Still here in my living room without a t.v that works properly. How frustrating!
Pros: Very helpful and polite appliance technician. Dishwasher issue promptly fixed. Very easy to make an appointment.Cons: The automated text message notification system was sub-par. I received a general time frame of five hours or so, but I didnt receive a text message when the technician was on his way. I didnt know the technician was going to be at my apartment until he was already there. This is unacceptable for both the technician and customer. Nevertheless, I was pleased with the service.
Repairman was professional.Not a repair though, just a warranty final checkup on refrigerator. After all adjustments, Ice Cream still soft. Had I known there werent two controls for temperature, I wouldnt have bought fridge. Never thought Id have to look for two controls -- one for fridge section and one for freezer, doesnt make sense. Guess that is why there was such a markdown on it. Buyer beware.
Extremely satisfied with the service visit from Sears Technician, Roger. My washer and dryer have been working well and were due for annual service. I had several questions and Roger answered all of them in a way I could understand. He was on time, very polite and knowledgeable. When he completed the service call, I felt very confident that he had done an excellent job and also felt certain that I will renew my protection agreement when its time.

Our refrigerator was not cooling, and we had lost a lot of food. After frustrating conversations with several repair companies recommended by the manufacturer, i called Sears. All other companies had said that, certainly, a fridge that isnt cooling is a priority, but none could get here for a week! Sears delivered - not only were they here right away but they were earlier than promised! John, our service technician, was knowledgeable, professional, personable and helpful with other appliances as well.
Sears repairman / service guy did a great and thorough maintenance check on both my washer and dryer in our laundry room. Polite Professional and complete!
Called Sears repair Mon. Sept 10, told them washer pump not draining, makes buzzing noise and gave them extended drain time error code F21. they scheduled repair for Sat. Sept. 15. Got a call on sat at around 12:15 and was told the tech called in and my appointment was cancelled. Had to reschedule for Mon Sept 17. Not too happy about it after waiting all week to get my washer repaired, just a simple pump replacement, perfectly capable of doing myself. Mon 17 arrives, tech shows up looks at machine, and he did not have a pump on van, unbelievable, they were told a week before when i called that it needed a pump. So the tech goes and meets another tech, that had one. He replaced it. That night I go to do a load of laundry, and what do i see on the floor, a broken bolt. I feel under the washer were the pump mounting bolts are, and one of the screw heads can not be felt, because its the one that is broken. LoL the tech broke one of the mounting screws, only reason I called sears was because i did not want to pay for the pump when I have a warranty that i have paid for. Also several days later my daughter had to wash her work clothes she used the dryer due to all the recent rain, we usually hang clothes out on line. Got tons of moisture in air. all the windows fogged up and could smell dryer freshener strong in house. Next morning I inspect back of dryer all kinds of lint on wall, and the tech must of moved our dryer to do the washer pump repair, and the dryer vent hose was disconnected from the back of the dryer. Another thing, when calling them to get an appliance repaired, dont need them trying to sell you additional warranties and keeping you on the phone with a person who hardly speaks English that cant answer questions you have about the warranty they are trying to sell you.
Repairman on-time -- which is great! Wasnt here very long and problem was solved. My issue was one that he had not seen on my model and was quite surprised but we got the issue fixed and its been fine. He pointed out some excellent reasons as to why I should have a service contract. Folks, its not like the old days. Things are not built to last like in the past. I bought the contract for both appliances. They key point he made was that an appliance part with repair could one day cost more than the price on the service contract!
We were told the compressor in fridge needed to be replaced. It was replaced on 10-3-18. However - the freezer is still not working. Needed to make another appt. to have diagnosed. Next available appt. was 10-19 - even though I asked for them to expedite the repair - still without my fridge.On 10-19-18 - the technician indicated a different part for the freezer needed to be replaced - a long thin cable that had been clogged due to the refrigerator not working.On 11-5 - our fridge stopped working, again!We had a repair / replacement date for Friday - 11-9 - which we took the day off from work to be home. They cancelled this appointment - ON THAT DAY! The day before, I received a voice mail confirming the technicians arrival for Friday. We called and asked for the NEXT available day for them to come out and repair our fridge.Finally - on Monday 11-12-18 - the technician arrived. He explained the initial repair weld - had a tiny hole in the weld - causing the fridge to stop working again. He worked on the fridge and the freezer, re-welding the fridge compressor parts; and replacing the cable for the freezer.Jean is a wonderful technician - explaining in understandable detail all the work that needed to be done. I give kudos to the work he has performed.It is very frustrating to hear that the service calls are not given enough time between appointments, causing the technicians to be overworked, and customers to be bumped and re-scheduled. It is my opinion that more thought needs to be put into the scheduling of these repairs. It is hard enough to deal with a new appliance to stop working; without also dealing with a system that appears to be unorganized when it comes to repairing the appliances; as well as a system/aftermarket department that does not put the customers first.I would like to stress, that Jean was prompt, courteous and very professional every time he came out to work on the fridge.Thank you Jean! The tech repairmen are always friendly and on the ball! They do a great job!Wish I could say the same for the phone tech support customer service people. I have an extended warranty for my tractor and told phone support that the head gasket was blown because of all the smoke. She said it was bad gas. Told her to just book the appointment. The repairman got here and took about 2 seconds to say- BLOWN GASKET!
Received very good advice from technician.
Tech came after the 10-2 window but called within it to say when hed arrive. Work was completed satisfactorily, neatly and was, (with a coupon), reasonably priced. Tech was very chatty, but that was not a big problem for me. The area was cleaned up afterwards and my washing machine seems to be 100% fixed.

I bought a warranty on my washer, which all the customer service representatives said covered everything. But when the technician showed up to fix something, it was all of a sudden not covered. The customer service reps and the technicians need to get on the same page so they are not telling the customers misinformation. And when I spoke to the manager on the phone about this, he spoke down to me and was very unprofessional.
Useless - the repair man said everything is fine and took the money and went. I will never buy from Sears again or use their maintenance service. The problem occurred after scheduled maintenance service. These guys are good for simple fixes that anyone can do. Otherwise stay away and dont call for maintenance of your appliances. They will make sure that the working machines are setup to fail soon and they want to sell you a new one soon after.
The problem was fixed and the repair man was very professional and knowledgeable and he explained the problem to me thoroughly.. My only issue is that the reason the fridge was leaking is because a part on the fridge had broken off and was letting air in .. he patched the hole with plastic inside and out of freezer but i feel like it may be a temporary fix, like a patch job and in my opinion if a part is broken then a new part should be ordered and replaced...
Had a service call for my dishwasher. Went over the issue thoroughly with the technician. After the technician left, ran the dishwasher and the same issue was happening. Contacted customer service the next morning to resolve and they were not helpful. Very dissatisfied with Sears and will never be using them again!
The work was done well and the technician was polite and well prepared. However, I had a 1-5pm appointment window and received a call at 5pm that the technician had been delayed and would need to reschedule. When someone is taking half a day off of work to wait for a service provider to arrive, this is not acceptable.

The technician was excellent, but the part, which was suppose to be here during the week, went to never land and when I called customer service to tell them it didnt arrive, they never got back to me and never notified the technician. When he arrived, he had to track down a part and wait quite a while for it to get here.
The technician was super efficient and took great care with the maintenance service of my LG washer dryer combo. He removed several objects that had no business in the water pump, such as a pair of earbuds (whoops!) and left no mess behind. Ill be glad to call on them again.
Our recent service was far less than satisfactory. Instead of a qualified appliance technician, Sears is now subcontracting out to Dish Network, and sending Dish installers, with a minimum of guidance to do preventative maintenance calls. The person who came to our house was very personable, but very lacking in knowledge about the actual functioning of any of the appliances that he was servicing. After watching a training video as he worked to do maintenance on the dishwasher, my husband actually had to loan him the tools needed to remove the drain covers for their cleaning... this is not at all what we paid for, or anywhere near the quality of service that we have had over the past 15+ years. I still have to call in our stove again separately, as he really did not know what he was looking at, even though thereadings on his tester were out of the normal range, as I had indicated. I certainly hope that they send a real appliance technician on that call, as I will have to take time off from work to be home again for that! Extremely disappointed! And of course, the survey people have not returned my call.
We have a Sears Home Services repair policy but are VERY dissatisfied with their service. I had inadvertently scheduled a repair call without specifying our policy. On the day of the service, when I contacted their chat representative to determine a two-hour window for the repairmans call, I also learned that I would be charged $99 to diagnose the problem. I asked that the call be covered by our policy and the chat representative said he would be able to do that. Long story short, he actually just cancelled the call, a repairman never showed up and when we contacted Sears Home Services they could only schedule a new repair appointment in another week. Although it was their problem, we are now waiting over two weeks to have our washing machine repaired. Totally unacceptable!
Repair technician was on time. He repaired the problem within the hour and the recumbent bike is now functional again. He seemed very knowledgeable about the product.

When the Sears repair person finally got here after three drawn out unsuccessful visits by subcontractors and one Sears technician who may have done absolutely nothing, the problem with the dryer timer was finally diagnosed and apparently fixed so far. One of Sears technicians said we should have an electrician check our electrical service which we did to the tune of $325. There was nothing wrong with the electrical service and Sears reimbursed us $50.00 for several weeks of going to the laundromat to dry our clothes and protracted inconvenience and money spent. This fiasco is definitely not the way to run a business.
While the Technician arrived promptly & shortly after scheduling the visit, the repairs were not thorough as a leak has been observed. Not sure what the cause is but ithe area of the leak is where he worked on the Refrigerator.

I was very pleased with the technician who came out to do the work. The only issue that came up was when the parts were ordered initially and were received they were damaged during shipping and had to be reordered, and they came in fine. So the only issue was with the whole timeframe, but it had nothing to do with the level of service we received from the technician.

The repair service was good but the bad part was I had to wait a whole month before they could get someone out to my house to repair my snowblower. Eveytime I called to complain they would say well put you on a cancellation list. In the meantime we had 3 storms where we were stuck without a snowblower. Even with my extended warranty that did not change the timeframe for having to wait. So as far as Im concerned, their scheduling is unacceptable
